I have loved this song since Huey Lewis and the News sang it back in the 80s. Home Free just made it sound awesome. The humor is a trademark of a lot of Home Free covers. I believe they were gently spoofing “Anchorman”. So funny. Interestingly, Adam Rupp didn’t learn to Beatbox until he and his brother Chris formed Home Free. Adam even learned to play the drums so he could have a very realistic drum sound. Adam studied music in college but it was trumpet performance, I believe. Musical family. Love your reactions.
The HF guys have fabulous senses of humor which are clearly displayed here. They never take themselves too seriously. 😆 And Adam Rupp's vocal percussion & phantom harmonica are musical genius I have a difficult time getting my brain to compute... My family still argues that Home Free must use actual instruments--their harmonies are so incredibly unbelievable❣️
The "teasers" about the hurricane when there is only a breeze cracks me up. The thing about the go kart was not planned. I'm not sure about the bball game, but in a behind the scenes vid the commented on how the go kart interrupted the vid so Tim took off after him & they decided to include it. I loved how Austin did "church mode" in part of his solo.
I can respect your rating system. Personally, I'm a fan of the fact that they didn't put in the extreme highs from Austin or the sonic bass drop from Tim because it doesn't fit the song. It's the old "Just because you CAN do something doesn't mean you SHOULD" kind of thing. I've had this conversation about another artist and a few people got totally butthurt about it! Kind of like when a song is over played on the radio, when the groups overuse their extremes, it loses its magic. But, again, that's just my opinion! Great reaction! Looking forward to more! ❤
I'm completely with you there! I mean - I love the wow-factors from time to time but doing it in every single song even if it doesn't fit the song at all (like one artist I can think of) gets me kind of annoyed. Nearly to the point now that I don't really want to listen to this other group anymore!
Some of my favorite HF original songs: Dive Bar Saints, Land of the Free, Snow Globe, I’ve Seen and Full of Cheer. Watch Snow Globe after Mayday. Whatever Adam Rupp does will usually be my favorite part of any song. Freak of Nature Rupp’s vocals are always 🔥🔥. Loved his solo in this! Thank you gentlemen! A Home Fry tip: Remember Adam, you have 40% of Home Free names covered!
Love this cover Huey Lewis!! Watch the cover of “I like the sound of that”!! Another awkward dating scenario!! Home Free middle school teachers! Read the captions on their pictures for !the school annual!! it’s hysterical Nice Reaction!!
Gretchen Wilson sang “Redneck Woman,” not Reba McEntire. I’ve a (Nashville) nephew who plays guitar and was in her band at the time of her big hit. You guys are still cracking me up, not to mention imparting much musical info. Thanks for all y’all do. Great to watching y’all.
You guys need to check their Behind the Scenes for this music video. The cart scene is totally random, and Tim chasing the guy is hilarious as hell. There's also a clip with Adam Rupp drenched in the rain after they completed shooting
Great job remembering their names. None of the guy's with equipment were plugged in. They also brought out a new cover today it's called Undivided. Actually during the harmonica part Austin went really high. Adam the beatboxer actually didn't start beatboxing until he was in college, he played the trumpet. Truly enjoyed watching your reactions, thank you.
Always look forward for your reactions. Watching with you guys add a lot of fun and I appreciate the knowledge that you all bring to the reaction. If you guys want a little bit of laughter, watch Afternoon Delight _ A snippet of working for a Living
These jokesters know how to have fun even when working for a living. Chance's lead is great, he even had a bass note drop while Adam was doing his thing with the harmonica sound. Adam really out doing himself (he's not only human, he's an instrument). Austin wailing, Rob dancing, Tim's bass were great background harmonies, they just happened to see the guys playing basketball & asked if they could film them playing. Tim hot on the heels of a high speed pursuit was not planned but it made for you good news. One of their funniest videos in a long while. It's a cover song. React to a live show of Home Free song Little Red Riding Hood (search on utube). It will entice you to really want to get tickets for a live concert. Great reaction.
@@307Reacts The Shenanigans?????? I thought they were Home Free! LOL Love this reaction and your creative instruction in the music world. Hey, now that you have Logan with you, you can change your name to The Three Stooges.
Haha - an old Huey Lewis and the News song from the 80’s with Anchorman vibes thrown in. Too funny. Loved Adam’s harmonica solo and Tim chasing the go cart. No one was plugged in. Loved the jump at the end. Good reaction guys!
You guys are hilarious. Matt, kudos for getting the names down! You've come a long way. I wonder what Huey Lewis would think of this? This is Iconic HL.
To really get the full appreciation of Mayday you should listen to the Peter Hollens version of Misty Mountains featuring Tim Foust first to get the full effect of Tim's bass. He will then shock you with his range in Mayday, which they recorded in the same key as the original female singer, Cam.
I'm sooooooo glad that you're doing this. I know you have a ton a requests so I just patiently wait for you guys to post Home Free this is an absolute hoot that they have done and so many references to the movie Anchorman. The basketball players and the go cart kid happen to be in the park that day and they made a News story of them. How funny would that be to have people go hey you want to be in a video lol This is how 80's news was done Tomorrow they are releasing Undivided
Looks like you missed the other part to this video. They did a 60 second short of them singing Afternoon Delight; same characters, standing beside the van, quoting the dialog/song/sound affects from the Anchorman movie.
Great reaction guys thanks. I believe the people in the park were just random people. I believe there was a sudden pop up rain shower that happens in Nashville, TN. Either way they did a great job.
The more I watch you guys, the more I enjoy you! You remind me of my brother and his friends dissecting Leon Russell songs back in the day! Great reaction, excited to hear your stuff 🤩
Loved The Lewis and the News in the 70s. They were very popular. You guys are just youngins not to recognize this song. This Video is perfect....their names are posted!!!!
Funny you mentioned that. I drove through my hometown today( July 29 2024) and there was a pretty younger lady in some kind of official shirt with an old school camera like this one on a tripod and mic with a white mic flag with blue writing on her shoulder all alone waiting to cross main street Oconomowoc Wisconsin. No idea why she was was there.
Tim Foust is from southeastern Texas, Austin Brown is from southern Georgia and Adam Chance is from Alabama - they sound country because they are from the southern U.S. In an interview Tim said that Austin is "as country as corn bread" and that when he first joined Home Free, he'd say something and the others would look at Tim to translate. Adam Rupp & Rob Lundquist are both from Minnesota.
This one is so much fun to watch! I enjoyed your take and reaction! I can't be angry with the the 4 /12 stars. I get what you mean. There are a couple of video early on that didn't wow me. Heck! There's one I didn't even like very much. Their talent always takes precedence over their videos for me, though! That harmonica, though! That was top notch!! 5 stars from me!
Tomi Pizur - "Hellfire" or "My Mother Told Me" (This artist does acapella) Dan Vasc - "I'll Make a Man Out of You" Jonathan Young ft. Caleb Hyles - "Bells of Notre Dome"
5:40 is like the typical newscaster pretending they know anything about sports. "The hockey puck, did not connect to home base, therefor the ball is overturned, touchdown Celtics"

I'm sorry but Adam's Rupp's non-harmonica "harmonica" is a wow!
I agree!!
The harmonica and particularly the end of it was for me the major WOW!!
This was such a bop. Loved all of it, but Adam's harmonica solo was my favorite.
They are really sticking to the Huey Lewis and the News sound.
This is a cover of a Huey Lewis and the News song from 1982 with an Anchorman theme. Huey Lewis played harmonica in some of his songs.
I remember seeing them live back in the 80s. Bad Is Bad was awesome. They were my first concert.
Actually excited you haven't reacted to MayDay yet! It will be a fun reaction!
That harmonica solo was off the chain!!!! OUTSTANDING👏👏

I agree that the highlight portion of this performance was Adam’s harmonica solo. It definitely deserves your highest rating.
You guys need to check their Behind the Scenes for this music video. The cart scene is totally random, and Tim chasing the guy is hilarious as hell. There's also a clip with Adam Rupp drenched in the rain after they completed shooting
They did another movie based video for This is How We Roll, copying The Big Lebowski. Their characterizations are spot on.
They also did “Afternoon Delight” in Anchorman style
Bahaha, I started laughing at the beginning knowing they were about to show all their names.
Me too
These guys are great singers even when they are playing the fool!❤️🔥
Welcome Logan!! Love when Adam threw down the clipboard and hams up the harmonica...
They stayed true to the original song by Huey Lewis and the News. There were no real lows and no real highs the harmonica solo did it for me 10/10
It has the same groove/feel as Sawyer Brown in the 90’s.
Rob # “Overalls”! Love it!
I was surprised y'all didn't notice all the guitar work in the beginning. LOL! 😉
I think this is a Huey Lewis cover.

Been waiting for you guys to react to this one and guess what they're coming out with another one tomorrow which is undivided
I kinda thought Adam's harmonica solo was a definite WOW !! factor !!!!
They also did a short of Afternoon Delight from Anchorman
This one was just fun, fluffy, schticky.
Always look forward for your reactions. Watching with you guys add a lot of fun and I appreciate the knowledge that you all bring to the reaction. If you guys want a little bit of laughter, watch Afternoon Delight _ A snippet of working for a Living
you should watch the Huey Lewis and the News original Workin' for a Livin' just to know how close Home Free came to it Great Reaction as usual boys !
Ring of Fire please. I love the interplay between Avi and Tim
It was great to hear this one again after so many years. And they did a great job both with it and the video.
Would love to see yall react to Dan Vasc. He does some great metal covers!
You need to react to avi change on the rise. They did a short with afternoon delight in their costumes

Great reaction guys!! I giggled quite a bit at this one too. Gotta keep it movin!
Adam's harmonica turned steel guitar at the end of that run! 😀
They have amazing voices. Love the reaction!! #babybird. Much Love and RESPECT from Minnesota!!🇺🇸🇺🇸❤️❤️

Loved this, how about fishing in the dark/boon dock, older with Chris Rupp, but sooo good.
