I was 9 years long rock climbing including training in a hall with many different difficulty levels, which I all managed to do after years of practice, so you can count me in on ice climbing :D
I tried it in Iceland (with my camera equipment) - talk about work up a sweat! Your channel is one of the best on UA-cam, the videography and narration are excellent! I've learned so much about Alaska from you guys!
Right?!? Ice climbing is TOUGH! So awesome that you gave it a whirl with a camera as well! And thank you for the kind words about our work. That means a lot 🙏😊
Kudos to you both for tackling such a huge physical challenge! That seems to be a little more adventurous than we're ready to tackle, but it was so cool to see your perspectives while climbing from your helmet cams. Great work! 👍
Great experience!! We appreciate the detailed history and geology information you have shared here. No, I would rather watch your video than do ice climbing, but maybe when I was younger. Thanks for the videos!!!
Wow...wow...wow...you two are simply unstoppable! I loved this adventure so very much...great video and an unmatched musical track...Americana at it's best! Thank you Cora and Jose' for once again making my week so much better. You have made my love of Alaska even greater than I thought possible. I started hunting Alaska with my Grandpa and Dad when I was a teenager and I am now 75 years into my life...each video feels like a blessing to this vintage soul...thankyou dear friends so very much!...Bob
Bob, you don't know how much joy it brings us knowing that you are enjoying the journey so much! Thank you for always tuning in, and leaving us these kind messages!
The ice climbing technique has been revolutionized since I taught ice climbing with Rite Walling at the Adirondack Mountain Club Winter Mountaineering Club sessions between Christmas and New Years back in the early 60s. We actually cut steps and it was a slow process. We did have crampons but they were the US Army mountain troops crampons from WW II. Infarct much of our gear was from the prior war. We did have ice axes but they had long handles and were used to cut the steps, not to claim the face as shown here.
Hey Dan! We were actually just backing up video of the great toe ceremony! 😊 So glad you enjoyed the video - a little crazy down there in the ice, right?!
Did we miss the premier again?? 😩. As always so interesting and enjoyable to watch. So impressed with you both! I think I am a bit too claustrophobic to try that! Cheers to you!
It’s okay - not your fault! We had a big filming opportunity come up that we could miss (stay tuned for the Dawson episode from Season 2). It pushed us back 2 days and we couldn’t get the episode out at the normal time. It went out at about 4pm eastern. But the SEASON FINALE is coming up Oct 6!
I admire the intrepidation you both possess. No way am I going down in that hole! I'm curious to know if your muscles were stiff and sore the next day....that looked brutal!
Talk about Scaling Up and Down a Tricky Icy Crevice.......YEP I'M IN. Walk in the Park...eh. That said the year 2000 movie "VERTICAL LIMIT" kept blasting my head the entire time for some weird reason👻👻👻
📊POLL TIME!! Would you try ice climbing if the opportunity came up?

HELL YEAH
Um no…..I’m too old for that stuff but glad you did!
After seeing the huffing & puffing version of Cora, I'll have to say too tough for me! You guys are awesome!✌️
Well, in college and during my 20's, I went rock climbing and caving. Today, at 66, I'm not sure about ice climbing at this point.
