Such an incredible tour to go on...thankyou Cora and Jose' for this interesting and educational view of such a wonder. Alaska is always on my heart and mind and I will be returning to see/hike it's glory in the Summer of 25. Thanks again for all your hard work making these entertaining videos...they are such a blessing. Much love...Bob
Matanuska glacier and the surrounding area are wonderful! You continue to do a fantastic job! From a prior gut wrenching, potentially fatal, encounter with a glacier (don't canoe on a very windy day, regardless of what others may say) I have very healthy fear and respect for glaciers. I don't know that I'd be as quick for walking on them again. Thank you much for sharing your adventure!
Great video. Enjoy the background information you share. Y'all should checkout Matanuska Glacier in the summer and compare. I've still yet to visit it.
Another outstanding video from Cora and Jose. Cinematography, content, and narration are all best in class. This is now my favorite UA-cam Channel and look forward to all of the new content. The quality of the videos should be recognized by UA-cam and maybe there is an opportunity to publish on Nebula or Curiosity Stream 😃
Wow, thank you Tom! What a kind compliment. Thank you for taking the time to write this and send such awesome feedback. And thanks for being on the adventure with us!
Hey there! If you don't need the shuttle service, then you can book directly with the company that organizes the tour that we did: glacier-tours.com/matanuska-glacier-summer-tours/. It's actually cheaper that way! The glacier tour itself isn't half day/full day, it's just a set time (1.5-2hrs). It's just that other tour companies (like the shuttle service) fold the glacier tour in with other activities (like a restaurant meal along the way, stops at viewpoints, etc). The companies that fold the glacier tour in with a lot of other activities call it a full day, and some that just get you there/maybe a snack or quick stop along the way call it a half day. But it's just one company that runs the hiking tours to the toe of the glacier, and yep, that tour runs 1.5-2hrs. And it's cheaper to book direct with them :) Have so much fun out there!
Thank you! So we went in March. Here is the link for the tour that includes the shuttle service from Anchorage: artwethereyet.com/blog/top-things-to-do-ketchikan-alaska/#southeast-packing-list In Alaska, it's customary to give a $20/person tip 👍
@@ArtWeThereYet Thanks, but are you sure that was the correct link? It only has info about Ketchikan. Not Matanuska glacier. Also do you recall how much it cost? I was wondering if you did through an travel agency? Or went directly to the vendor?
@Kklkoko Hey! Sorry…wrong link. Hi, Art we there yet, I am loving all your videos but had a tiny question, are you guys still making the trip to Argentina or are you going to stay in Alaska? I know there is a lot of political unrest countries right now so wasn't sure if that is why you haven't made it to Argentina yet. I do understand why you would want to stay in Alaska or our own country at this time. Thank you
Hey Christine! So happy that you are enjoying the videos! Yep, we are still doing the trek to Argentina. We decided to stay in AK for two winters because we loved it so much. Our episodes are still going through Alaska (because of Tempe time lag between filming and episode release), but we are actually about to cross the border.

🥳Matanuska is a MUST SEE in Alaska. What is a MUST SEE in your state/country?
Saxonian Switzerland, which is sand stone formations along the river Elbe in eastern Germany. :)
Pangong Tso in Ladakh, India

Yikes, sounds like a harrowing experience. It's so important to have a healthy respect for glaciers!!
Beautiful! I've driven past there but didn't have time to stop - another time I hope!
Hope you can make it one day!
I love following your adventures. I've been to Alaska, but didn't get to stay as long as you.
We feel super lucky with how long we've been able to stay. A blessing for sure! But anytime in Alaska is a blessing. Amazing place.
Yes it is. Living in south Florida that’s like the other end of the world but is love to do it. Thanks for sharing.

Yeah, the Glenn Highway is hard to beat!

Thanks for watching!
Hi, did you do the full or half-day tour? Also, which company did you use for guides? We won't need the shuttle service. Thanks!

We booked our tickets directly with the vendor (second link I sent). We got the AK resident rate, so it was about $50 each.
