Hey, I'm new here - It's wild that you haven't made a "Who is Darth Bane" video yet! Drew K's 'Path of Destruction' and 'Rule of Two' changed my perspective on character development and depictions of evil in story-telling! He was such an imposing Sith Lord and essentially reset the Jedi and Sith orders single-handedly. Please do a video on him. Now, I'm gonna subscribe, hell.. I'll even 'ding that notification bell'. Just let me see that video pop up in my feed please. You'll be a hero.
TheMoonlightBandit It would have to be made by Obsidian though. I don’t trust Bioware since they’re wrapped around EA’s finger. I miss Lucasarts so bad. Even if they did rush KOTOR 2 it was still amazing!
Well the old republic game online is kind of part three in a way plus alot more to do. Bigger maps, great story's. I always go more often than not as sith. Just because I know at some point either the master or the apprentice try to kill each other. You do get Revan or a couple versions of him. You do get some good partners like vet or the Jedi that you kill her master and take care her for your own. It reminds me of Atris and Brianna the handmaiden. Or Nialus and visas. Or on Kotor one with the site you turn to the light as Revan and he saves the twelek from the grove. You can get married to vet or the young Jedi girl, much similar to Briana and the Exile. You get hk47. (Query): Come on meatbags, what are you waiting for? Its just as enjoyable if not more because of the nostalgic characters and hilarious you find in strange locations. It got to the point if the holocaust were around I could hear them because I play with headphones on which really imeress you deeper in the feeling of Jedi or sit because you actually listen to the Holocene chimes like a Jedi or sit use the force to listen. I never got that in Kotor 1 or 2 but I have played those games on the original Xbox so many times I barely have any more space left to save.
He's such an interesting character. After playing Kotor 2 for the first time then hearing Palpatine on Revenge of the Sith say "To cheat death is the power only one has achieved", I always thought it was a reference to Sion seeing as he found a way to cheat death himself. Obviously now I know it was a reference to Plagueis but it's still interesting nevertheless.
There have actually been few that have mastered this power. Sion being one of them, The Sith Emperor was one dark side for entity that moved from one body to another. But who knows what is canon at this point... I would really like to see something (movie/tv series) based on these Revan time frame stories. That was an interesting time in the universe, at least that is how it would seem based on the Kotor games. Kreia, the movie would probably be perfect. Although I would like to see it in 3 parts. One where she is young and being a Jedi etc. Two where she would be a Jedi master to Revan and getting cast out of the order and falling to the dark side and last episode where she tumbles with the Exile... This is just too much to put into a single movie. TV series could work as well.
If I recall correctly there were five, technically four who could cheat death. Darth Sion obviously, Darth Andeddu, Darth Plageus, The emporer of the eternal sith empire (I forget his name) and Darth Bane was able to survive, in at least a small part, after death.
@@TheFlipsta97 True. Also The Emperor of the Sith Empire/Zakuul was Vitiate/Valkorion. I'm pretty sure in the Plagueis book it is said that Darth Plagueis himself admired Vitiate also saying he was one of the few who was close to achieving immortality.
@@thegreedyjoker2716 Disney just needs George Lucas and Dave Filoni in charge of the Lore and hire a good director that understands and loves and respects Star Wars.
To me Sion was more just there as an objective lesson about how KotOR 2 used the force, until I played the Exile as female and he professed his love for her for being everything Kreia was not yet so similar. It was at this point I truly realized just how much cut content KotOR 2 had due to Lucasarts rushing it 2 years early to maket. I some how always thought it was just cut missions before, not character arcs. It's such a shame really as this game is arguably one of the best Star Wars stories ever told. I should be thankful though, as it caused me to seek out the restoration mods which truly showed just home much better an already brilliant game could have been.
I imagine it's because it's so visual, they always forget about Vader basically doing the same thing (albeit for a lot shorter time) to survive on Mustafar until Palpie put him in a suit. I mean you can't see his scorched lungs in the movie so it's easier to dismiss. And both of them got cut by the same Jedi who they then used their hate for in particular in order to pull it off. That's twice that Obi-Wan failed to kill a Sith without even realising it...worst Jedi ever xD
I respect Darth Sion because he was the only one to achieve something that all sith desired - immortality. Also he doesn’t seem to be evil to the core like other sith, maybe because he had a good source of hatred - his pain. And as for his powers, I think that he wasn’t as powerful as others because instead of focusing on advancing his force or lightsaber skills, he had to focus on keeping himself alive. His ability to turn his weakness into the source of immortality is an amazing thing to accomplish.
Vitiate did it better with his having the cost absorbing an entire planet of living things every now and again while Scion had to stay angry. Though Scion was badass because how many can handle being in a perpetual state of pain especially if it’s the cost of staying alive.
It is as if they took Nietzsche and split him into 3 parts, the suffering as power Sion, the unbridled lust for power by Nihilus, and finally Darth Traya the nihilistic scholar who wanted to destroy the force itself. Nietzsche did not wish these feelings and emotions, but lost himself in these traits of suffering, power, and nihilism. Such an amazing allusion to old philosophy.

Nah, Nihilus isn’t really a sith but a walking wound in the force. He was just a cloak and mask. There wasn’t any one behind the mask and was basically a time bomb needing to feed or would have been consumed himself. He’s definitely an interesting character, but it wasn’t his vast knowledge of the force that made him powerful. It was the fact that he was in the right (or wrong) place when there was a wound in the force that didn’t heal. Literally any person could have turned into him. He basically was a black hole that had a conscious that was constantly in danger of being consumed and when he died, there was nothing of his body. As cool as that sounds, the fact that he was being eaten by himself makes it hard to be able to do anything but feed. At least with sion, he actually learned the abilities that he has. Being in immeasurable pain sucks, but he’s at least able to do things with his time without the constant thought of your own hunger consuming you because you were unlucky enough to be hit and become a wound in the force. Out of all the Sith Lords, nihilus seems like the last Sith Lord I would ever want to be. As powerful as he is, is also as weak as he is. None of the powers he has are his but are the powers of the wound in the force itself
Absolutely fantastic! Love the new ship effect and intro, made the content feel a lot more dynamic to watch and enjoyable. Darth Sion is actually one of my preferred characters in the Star Wars universe; despite his lack of character development he just seemed like such a complex character, and anytime I encountered him in game I felt there was so much more to him, the pain in his voice, his choice of actions. He didn't seem like pure evil but, a Lawful Evil kinda character, I hope in the future they elaborate on him if he ever returns to canon.
If you honestly think about it and look at it, Sion did what Darth Plageuis wanted to do: influence the force to make himself immortal. It may not have been exactly how Plageuis wanted to do it, but that's how it was done.
I hate how everyone always makes him out to be such a wuss, I always loved his concept. He lost a lot of fights, but he literally achieved something most Sith couldn't dream of, he held his own body together and surpassed the needs/limits of biological mortality by sheer will of the force fed by his anger and hatred. THATS... fucking badass!
Ok I can’t take it hearing the game music in the background is giving me a huge case of nostalgia calling in sick to work right now so I can replay this game it’s been a few years

With Kotor one getting a remake I hope they can finally get the complete sequel after. I would like them to restore and hopefully add more. Since kotor 2 was rushed there is a lot you can do in a remake.
I loved him I wished they did flesh him out more in the game, plus I love his voice actor in the game I think it was the same guy who used to do the old Guinness adverts "tik followed tok.."
This is so helpful mate, thank you. My biggest shame as a Star Wars fan is my hole of knowledge that is the KotoR story. I've now played both games (literally finished 2 an hour ago lol), but I'm no-where near finished with the lore. Like Revan, I've an insatiable desire for greater knowledge! Where did you find all of this extra information? I have the Revan book, though I'm currently in the process of buying another copy as the one I got was in fucking German. I've also been recently made aware of a comic series. Is that where all of this stuff is from? I never knew to what extent Nihilus and Sion were connected to Malachor. I never knew about their past as a Jedi and warrior respectively. I never knew about them teaming up against Traya and stripping her of the force (even though you showed a gameplay clip of it, but for some reason I did not come across it on my playthrough). Any information about your sources would be greatly appreciated as it will help me get one step closer to learning all there is to know about my favourite franchise of all time. Thanks again :)
Legate Alucard Did you not play the game? If you haven't, I don't want to spoil what happens when they meet again in the late game. If you do want to know, Kreia tells him that it was a lesson. I don't remember exactly her words but she says that losing her hand was as meaningless as Sion's strength
One possible clue please correct me if ime wrong is that he was Zayne Carrick's former master who had helped to murder padawans as a Jedi before eventually turning completely to the dark side.
Fucking soul taker went to the dark room. Can fight all day, all jacked up, body and mind. The darkness is exactly what he needed. Merry christmas, stay hard!
Imagine just minding your own business in the halls of Force school when suddenly you get jumped by a Spirit Halloween prop and the knight from monte python
Freedon Nadd, Darth Vader, Darth Maul: *Approves* In case you didn't know Freedon Nadd was too angry and greedy to give up his spirit and lived as a spirit until Exar Kun killed him
Since I dont want to spoil it outright, Sion's origin can be found if you read Knights Of The Old Republic comic by John Jackson Miller. readcomiconline.to/Comic/Star-Wars-Knights-Of-The-Old-Republic Here's the link to it.
("RNA0ROGER") Bane, Maul, and Vader we’re capable of the same power, but not to this extreme. I love how to Sith Lords of KOTOR 2 were essentially forced of nature.
Darth Scion achieved something multiple very powerful Sith Lords could not achieve, and that is immortality. Vitiate the empirer, Sidious and many other dark lords would have done just about anything to have learned his technique for immortality. His power was so complete that he would receive multiple fatal blows yet he would just get back up and able to return to the fight. He would do this over and over again until his opponent would make a mistake and fall in battle,
It's not known to what extent his revival could be used. If he was literally obliterated, would he survive? Who knows. But with that said, it wasn't difficult to incapacitate him. But his immortality was certainly unique, albeit crude.
It was meant to be there identities when it was written. Krynda was one of revan's former masters, and was a seer, and 1/2 miraluka so she saw through the force. Lucien was turned by his master haazen who looked like a proto Sion and molded him with pain. Sion is jealous of the attention she gave meetra and thought he was her heir. It was purposely left open. Nothing said specifically yes or no.
Too bad I would have known more of Darth Sion early life. Yes Darth Sion is my favorite Sith. Darth Sion is #4 to me on my favorite Sith list. I didn't know that love is what let him go to be forgiven and in peace. He didn't look bad looking other than beaten battled up worn. Awesome video.
Daniel Gonzalez Well, no. Han Solos legends storyline is no longer his official origin. I don't want to do his origin if that version is not his Canon character and his backstory isn't set in stone. And why? what makes you hate him? I love him!
Why can't you just make an EU version and a Canon version? you like his character so doing 2 videos on him would be enjoyable for you, plus the EU is better than the canon anyway. I can at least respect EU Han Solo in his later life he lost his youngest son, his oldest son went to the dark side and was killed by his daughter but he never abandoned Leia and stayed a hero he didn't go back to being a smuggler. Canon Han Solo is a scumbag who left his wife after his bitch son turned to the dark side. I don't like him cause I think hes the biggest jerk in the galaxy.
Darth Nihilus can kill Sion by servere his connection to the force which would have him die, so he is not completely immortal. Darth Sidious is most succesful when it comes to cheating death as he had clone bodies he could transfer his essence into which assured his immortality. I know you will mention Vitiate but it was to risky to posses living beings while clone bodies was like empty tanks.

He's not a favorite, but I appreciate him for who he is. It's really hard to have another favorite in KOTOR 2 when Kreia is in the game
Sion is one of my favs actually
Great and timeless video. Sucks that he got such little screentime, sadly taken away from his less interesting Sith counterpart, Nilihus.
With Kotor one getting a remake I hope they can finally get the complete sequel after. I would like them to restore and hopefully add more. Since kotor 2 was rushed there is a lot you can do in a remake.
We meet at last
I love this game¡¡¡
Don't we all :)
We might get a chance to learn more with them remaking one hopefully they redo 2 with out the rush
I loved him I wished they did flesh him out more in the game, plus I love his voice actor in the game I think it was the same guy who used to do the old Guinness adverts "tik followed tok.."
I remember when i first played kotor 2, I named my character Nios Htrad, which is almost Darth Sion backwards
Darth Scion is experiencing the terror of facing a Terminator/Chosen Undead siding with, obviously, the dark side.
😂😂😂
Enjoyed this video, I knew some about sion but this was great 💯
Thank you! I'm really glad to hear it :D
Scion survived hundreds of deaths to finally get taken down by booty.
Wait this Channel has only 595 subs 😳
Slowly growing!
100% Star Wars 👍
I never finished the game as a kid because I was scared of sion lol
I was too :D
Just found the channel and I fucking love it. Been playing both Kotors since they came out and I’ve just turned 27
How am I supposed to be on the side of the Jedi when you have such badass Sith Lords like Sion? It's impossible!
I wish they would make movies on the old republic
Has anyone ever noticed that Sion resembles Darth Bandon, and the generic KOTOR 1 Dark Jedi Masters?
Maul and Sion had that one thing in common: keeping alive despite the pain or (fatal) wounds.
Sion beat Kraia how is he not stronger?
Nihilus beat Traya :)
Legate Alucard i think she lost on purpose to lose her hand and show the exile the power of their force bond
My understanding was that he mean't the first battle, in the Trayus academy.
Traya was stripped of most of her Force abilities while on Perageus due to the confrontation with Nihilus in the Academy.
Legate Alucard Did you not play the game? If you haven't, I don't want to spoil what happens when they meet again in the late game. If you do want to know, Kreia tells him that it was a lesson. I don't remember exactly her words but she says that losing her hand was as meaningless as Sion's strength
Actually wish there was more about sion
Very well done !
Thank you!
Darth Nihlius was the Cookie Monster before he turned to the dark side
😂
They should have focused on Sion's character a lot more.
There was a lot more planned, but it was cut sadly.
One possible clue please correct me if ime wrong is that he was Zayne Carrick's former master who had helped to murder padawans as a Jedi before eventually turning completely to the dark side.
Well Sion and Traya is my favourite Ancient Sith
Some of my favourite too :D
Fucking soul taker went to the dark room. Can fight all day, all jacked up, body and mind. The darkness is exactly what he needed. Merry christmas, stay hard!
Merry Christmas indeed :)
Darth sion is definitely my favorite sith in all
Darth sion could be easily sumed up as man too injured to die.
Very much so!
How can I get the extra mod content
Restored content Mod? If you download the game on Steam, and then go to the Steam Workshop (the mod section) It'll be there.
Imagine just minding your own business in the halls of Force school when suddenly you get jumped by a Spirit Halloween prop and the knight from monte python
Freedon Nadd, Darth Vader, Darth Maul: *Approves*
In case you didn't know Freedon Nadd was too angry and greedy to give up his spirit and lived as a spirit until Exar Kun killed him
Darth Plagueis the wise would be proud.
Indeed he would!
One of my favourite dark lord ever 🏆🔥
"MAN LITERALLY TOO ANGRY TO DIE"
Darth sion in a nutshell: sith angry, not die, be friends with nihlus and revan
Since I dont want to spoil it outright, Sion's origin can be found if you read Knights Of The Old Republic comic by John Jackson Miller.
readcomiconline.to/Comic/Star-Wars-Knights-Of-The-Old-Republic Here's the link to it.
This isn't true.
Can you do one on Carth Onasi?
Good video
Thank you!
Keep it up good videos!
Thank you bro! That means a lot :)
Sounds something that could happen to Vader.
Vader does something similar, using his physical pain to strengthen himself (He doesn't literally keep himself alive though)
It would still be interesting if another sith did this.
Darth Sion is one of my favourites. 😁
I like him a lot!
I actually feel sorry for the poor bastard
Don't we all!
Sion is Lucien Draay from the knights of the old republic comics. Kreia/ Darth treya is his mother, Krynda Draay.
This was confirmed to be false despite the possible similarities.
John Jackson Miller the Writer of the comics made clear that Lucien wasn't Sion. I've never heard that theory about Krynda either.
@@100StarWars see I never knew he said that. Everything I could find led me to that conclusion
So who wins 1v1 Sion or Nihilus?
Too bad I would have known more of Darth Sion early life. Yes Darth Sion is my favorite Sith. Darth Sion is #4 to me on my favorite Sith list. I didn't know that love is what let him go to be forgiven and in peace. He didn't look bad looking other than beaten battled up worn. Awesome video.
I'm glad you enjoyed it :D
Do a Who is ajunta Pall
All the ancient are on my list somewhere :)
Can you do Han Solo next??
Han Solo will be difficult to do, as his history is no longer canon and is be redeveloped in the new movie.
by that logic you shouldn't have done this video either since the Expanded Universe is no longer canon, that being said Han Solo sucks
Daniel Gonzalez These vids take a lot of work to make. I'd rather expend my efforts on a variety of characters rather than different versions of one!
So he had a Ph.D,Playa Hater Degree.
Revan + Plot powers > Sith triumvirate.
