Partly. It felt like his master didn't do much to stop Exar's quest for Sith Knowledge. That being said, the choice to embrace the Dark Side was also Exar's own...
If I was in charge of re-imagining/re-writing the pre-Clone Wars Star Wars history, I'd give Exar Kun a VERY important role. Before him, I'd have all of the Sith be Pureblood Sith (including figures like Ajunta Pall, Marka Ragnos, Freedon Nadd, Naga Sadow, etc), and I'd have them keeping themselves that way so they'd remain "pure" until the tragedy of the Great Hyperspace War, where they were nearly wiped out. @@100StarWars Well, I would leave Exar Kun's story exactly the same as it is. My reason for changing everything before him is that my personal canon for Star Wars starts with Exar Kun. What I mean by that is, if I was doing an Old Republic Trilogy (it would probably be more than three films, but it would cover three principal events), Episode 1 would be the Great Sith War (Exar Kun), Episode 2 would be the Mandalorian Wars, and Episode 3 would be the Jedi Civil War (KOTOR 1 and 2).

Freddon Nadd has to be the most underrated sith ever Dude was terrifying while alive and after death, similar to Kun himself. People always leave Nadd out of the convo when it comes to the Great Siths it’s always Sidious, Vitiate, Plagues, Vader etc Nadd was as terrifying and more so than some of them and equally as powerful
That was an amazing production! I’m gonna have to watch it again to get everything. A little unclear on where Exar got his army and fleet to attack the republic before the Mandolorians joined in.
these are amazing. just finished fallen order and I was never really into star wars. your videos are amazing can't wait to watch more and learn more interesting lore!
Exar Kun is my favorite Sith lord. Not a wounded soul who turns to the Dark Side because of pain or sadness, but a crazy badass who desires to be the greatest.
Finally watched this video: amazing work! I need to check out the Exar Kun comics at some point but I am impressed how badass of a Sith Lord Kun was. And his double bladed lightsaber was awesome. Exar Kun is one charcater of the EU I 'd rather the new IP doesn't touch but that's another story. Kun's story is kind of sad as it shows how the dark side can leave you with nothing at all.
Yeah that vision that Gantoris was shown was of his people getting murdered by Daala, Tarkin's lover. And honestly I'm still stunned she wasn't executed by the New Republic for that war crime.
Incredible how a Fallen Jedi became one of the most powerful and feared Sith in the galaxy, ego aside of course. True long time Sith are more powerful and successful, still have to appreciate what he did considering he wasn't sith for long.
Just found your channel and am loving how good your content is and how much you put into your videos. A friend and I do a weekly Star Wars podcast, and if I ever need to do research before an episode I will know where to look first! Liked and subbed. Will be watching your channel closely from now on
I know this video is about Exar Kun but Freedon Nadd has played a massive role in the story of the old republic, he conquered Onderon, his corruption of Exar lead the to the Sith War witch lead to the Mandalorian Wars, Jedi Civil War and Dark Wars that followed in its wake. Hell Nadd's temple would play a major rule during the Dark Wars and many years latter aid Darth Bane his Rule of Two.

@@100StarWars Well, I would leave Exar Kun's story exactly the same as it is. My reason for changing everything before him is that my personal canon for Star Wars starts with Exar Kun. What I mean by that is, if I was doing an Old Republic Trilogy (it would probably be more than three films, but it would cover three principal events), Episode 1 would be the Great Sith War (Exar Kun), Episode 2 would be the Mandalorian Wars, and Episode 3 would be the Jedi Civil War (KOTOR 1 and 2).
so you want to watered down exar kun?
@@alsimmonshellspawn6021 I'm sorry, but did you even READ my original comment? If you did, which I HIGHLY doubt, WHERE in my original comment did I imply that I wanted such a version of Exar Kun? Because I can assure you I did NOT imply such a thing because I DO NOT WANT such a thing. I do not know HOW or WHERE you got that idea, but it is a BLATANT lie.
Favorite character now you did him justice
Really glad you had fun with the video!
Me too NOW!
This was amazing. The animation, the voice acting, the narration. It was all so good. Very well done video. I'm going to have to check out the rest of this channel now.
I’m so glad I randomly discovered this Chanel don’t get me wrong I know some of the things you’ve talked about but there’s something to the way you’ve presented everything that really captivated me and I’m glad that you’re doing what you love and sharing this information with all of us you’re awesome dude keep doing what you’re doing c:
This was so amazing. I can’t wait for the next one!
Really glad you enjoyed it :)
This is absolutely amazing! It feels like a biographical movie! I love it! I hope you do more in the future; I'm sure it's a lot of work, but it's the best I've ever seen!
Exar Kun and Darth Revan are my two favorite Sith Lords in Star Wars Legends
I like how I can learn about this history and think, “hey, I was there!”
Freddon Nadd has to be the most underrated sith ever
Dude was terrifying while alive and after death, similar to Kun himself. People always leave Nadd out of the convo when it comes to the Great Siths it’s always Sidious, Vitiate, Plagues, Vader etc
Nadd was as terrifying and more so than some of them and equally as powerful
For sure. He's severely handicapped by the fact he was only really relevant on Onderon tho.
Lovely. Thanks for the characters explained videos..i get to learn more about them in an entertaining & comprehensive way.
I hope this is a more cinematic experience for you :)
That was an amazing production! I’m gonna have to watch it again to get everything. A little unclear on where Exar got his army and fleet to attack the republic before the Mandolorians joined in.
Aleema had the Krath armies.
Fantastic and amazing video my friend on Exar Kun. George
Glad you enjoyed it!
So perfect and detailed. I lnew someone had a deep story of Kun that was worth listening too.. cheers u have a new subscription
these are amazing. just finished fallen order and I was never really into star wars. your videos are amazing can't wait to watch more and learn more interesting lore!
Need a Favreau and Filoni live action series featuring this story. Tales of The Jedi, legendary.
I hear Filoni is a massive fan of the Old Republic era in general, so it may happen one day, you never know.
so they can ruin it too great idea
The last 10min of this is so epic
My favorite Star Wars video on all of UA-cam
One of your best ones yet boy they should make a movie about Exar Kun
Thank you! I'm really glad you enjoyed it :)
Legendary. Thank you Master Luke
You're very welcome! Thank you :)
This is one of the best Star wars story on UA-cam, im not exaggerating
Thank you Mater, I really appreciate that :)
Please do more extra long ones like this, lastnight and today listened to all the revans and exar kun at work. Top notch
Really glad you enjoyed it dude! They were a labour of love for sure.
Whoa 😯 that’s a lot about exar kun so cool how much work you put into every video the force is with you!!!
*Information injection* - Likewise!
This is the best Exar video. Great job.
That's high praise! Thank you :)
Hey man, stumbled across your content and I’m absolutely loving it, keep it up bro ❤️
Thanks, Sam! I really appreciate that :)
23:45 who in their right mind would believe his story, I know I wouldn’t but hey that’s that. Peace ✌🏼and May the force be with you, always…
Holy Smokes! I'm view 100,000 ... First time seeing that...
Great video and thanks for posting!
Exar Kun is my favorite Sith lord. Not a wounded soul who turns to the Dark Side because of pain or sadness, but a crazy badass who desires to be the greatest.
Let me introduce you to Darth Malgus
one of the coolest star wars videos ive seen, keep up the good work!
Kun at the end became one with the dark side something not many sith could archive he also almost became a force god
Ever hear, the tragedy of Darth Exar Kun the Stupid?
It's not a tale the Jedi would tell you.
Or even most Sith come to think of it...
Here leaving a simple yet well meaning like, since I just watched the three individual parts first.
This would make a great Star Wars video game nice Star Wars story I love this
I think that was a great video and I think that a great video would be one on Carth
Really glad you enjoyed it :)
Cool video! You should also do the same with Tulak Hord, Lord Kaan, Jerec, and Darth Krayt!
Yeah that vision that Gantoris was shown was of his people getting murdered by Daala, Tarkin's lover. And honestly I'm still stunned she wasn't executed by the New Republic for that war crime.
This was Beautifully done, thank you very much for making this masterpiece of my favorite Dark Jedi
This is genuinely amazing, it felt like I was watching a Star Wars movie. 👏😄
Exar Kun's bad boy haircut reminds me of that of one of the priests in "Father Ted".
LMAO
Incredible how a Fallen Jedi became one of the most powerful and feared Sith in the galaxy, ego aside of course. True long time Sith are more powerful and successful, still have to appreciate what he did considering he wasn't sith for long.
this is amazing way of telling stories i have the comic book but i didn´t mind and listen the story again amazing
Good work.
Always looking for a new video.
Thanks
I'm glad you enjoyed it, Jose :)
Exar anguished in pain every time he had a conversation with someone. Lol
Jedi Archetype:
"If it aligns with my intentions, I might consider it, my friend."
I've recently come across your videos. They are excellent! Subscribed :)
Just found your channel and am loving how good your content is and how much you put into your videos. A friend and I do a weekly Star Wars podcast, and if I ever need to do research before an episode I will know where to look first! Liked and subbed. Will be watching your channel closely from now on
I’m just finding this now but wow was this good. I got chills more than once haha
Darth caedus please!
Heeee-heeee-haaaaaa-hooooooo intensifies
Wait this channel is brilliant. Why isn’t it more popular
I haven't been this happy with a sub in months, bro. You do outstanding work
I know this video is about Exar Kun but Freedon Nadd has played a massive role in the story of the old republic, he conquered Onderon, his corruption of Exar lead the to the Sith War witch lead to the Mandalorian Wars, Jedi Civil War and Dark Wars that followed in its wake. Hell Nadd's temple would play a major rule during the Dark Wars and many years latter aid Darth Bane his Rule of Two.
You have GOT to do more of these....it's great!!!
