I did this about 2 months ago, wish I had this video when I did it. It took about an hour, but def had to double and triple check everything to make sure I was doing it correctly. Very glad I did it, it improved the imaging and treble of the sound system by a ton. Well worth the $60 and time it took! Great vid.
2 things that might help that weren't mentioned. 1) Move your passenger chair back before taking out the battery 2) the harness with the swivel lock needs to be pressed in in order to unswivel it. There's a small area that clips it into place. I used a punch to push it in and then it swiveled. It took me about 30-45min from start tot finish. It would have been faster if the swivel didn't hold me up.
Big thanks! I watched your video once before the installation, and played it as I attempted the installation successfully! Took me about 45 mins from start to finish. Getting that first harness clip back in is VERY tricky. I had to contort my body a lot to get a good angle. Definitely want to put your passenger seat all the way back. Thanks again!
This is the only video I found that knew exactly what to do on the 2022 Model 3. I would have never figured the driver side audio was connected on the passenger side lower sill area where you used the wood to help hold it out.
Hi, I'm French and I bought the audio upgrade one week ago, but I was stressed to do it. Your video is very clear, precise and reassuring and so I will try next year. I will telle you about. Thank you
Same for me, I will try the installation next Saturday... If the weather will be enough nice. FR : je vais faire l'installation samedi prochain... Si le temps le permet 😅 Very nice video, much more useful than the official Hansshow videos...
I installed the kit this Sunday and... I understood why you didn't show the end 😂. It's very difficult to hide the cables 😮 But all is working fine and I'm really happy. Hanshow should reference your video amon their website 🎉
Excellent! Just finished and everything went well. Pointers: watch the video through before starting Don't rush - plastic scratches and breaks Put passenger seat all the way back before power down Use a flat head to push on side of clips to release them After pulling the black clip that's hard to reach, connect the replacement white before connecting the original black to the harness The hardest part for me was putting the new white into the computer box where the black had been.
Great video! Just installed this and was super easy. I have not had distortion issues at high volume like others have said. The highs sound way more immersive too
Helpful video, everything was exactly as shown on my 2023 RWD. The bug battery didn’t disconnect immediately for me when flipping the lock, and it was slightly difficult to get the plug into the computer. Otherwise, pretty straightforward. I immediately noticed improved imaging when I turned on the music. It was worth my time.
thanks, I compared with another RWD 23 car without it using same song same volume, there's clear difference, sound is closer, and highs sound brighter. if you are here watching this awesome video, you are interested in the sound upgrade, it's worth the effort. Installation was not bad, just difficult to maneuver in tight spaces. the hardest one for me was the b-pillar, even with the door seal pulled out and moved out of the way, space was tight. Result was pretty good, no bumps on the floor, or loose wires
Thank you very much, this was very helpful for my install. The only struggle was the Black plug spot, it was not plugging in easily. After an hour of try, I had to scrap a bit of the the kit’s plug i order to fit in! Overall satisfied with the results!!!!
Just did this but had crackling noise from top speaker. As it turn out, the wires are rubbing against the chassis. Some people were missing the foam piece in between. Mine had it but it rubbed all the way through. So i put few layers of electrical tape and fixed the problem
Tesla recently put a software block in place for at least the 2023 models. As noted from a recent post: Just came from Hansshow Tustin California installation/service location… Was gonna buy and let them installed this on my 2023 M3 SR… They told me that they won’t be able to install it coz they just found out that TESLA planted a bug that when those 2 pillar, 2 side mirror speakers are activated by AFTERMARKET Harness.. Bug will make them speakers muffled or static noise..: So they told me to hold off till they find out if there is any solution they can do🤷🏻♂️
Just did it on my 2023 RWD, took me about 30 mins (only thing was that I broke a small plastic tab that holds that swing down bracket), everything else went smoothly, overall was an easy process + thanks for the video. To be honest I didn't notice too much of a difference. I can hear all the speakers playing. I try different type of songs.
It worked perfectly. Warning tho, if you plug back up, "reboot" car, and have a critical failure? There's a connection that is bad. I took it back apart reseated everything and oh, a year later an 10k miles and not a single problem. Best "mod" you can do and not worry about your warranty. Though i would undo the mod if you ever had a critical failure. Tesla has a reputation about service. Though i have never personally had a single thing wrong after 12500 miles so idk. Again, great video. Thank you
This was the video i was looking for , finally found a perfect installation...it was a pain in the butt plugging that harness under the dash board coz was super cramped with those wires and the passenger door to settle the harness in … my car sounds awesome now wow big difference!!!
Thank you for the video. I was under the impression you had to connect the harness under the dash on both driver and passenger side. You just saved me a lot of effort. Looks like it’s just the area under glove box and right side B pillar lower area.
i did this a few weeks ago, the first plug is so hard to get too, but took around 45 min to do. would recommend, but as expected, bass is still very bad
Thanks for the extremely helpful video for the hannshow harness SR+ model3 2022/2023 Few things to note, if you're going to do this: 1. Watch the video once fully before getting started so you know what's in store. 2. Be extra careful when unplugging existing harnesses from the trim, in most cases if you're tugging too hard its not right! 3. Push the tiny encased depressors down (located on top or to the side) on the existing male plugs harness to have them come out easily from the female junctions, you can also use the Phillips screwdriver to do that gently while holding and pulling the plug out 4. In total there are only three main pieces of the inside trim that need to be removed for full access and following installation instructions a. one under right side dash, to this is also the speaker and footwell light connected (remove this first) b. one big below right door and this exposes the front two main harness connection (remove this last) c. one small one in the corner of the right door, where there is a small pin like holder (remove this second will allow to remove big right door side trim) 5. Before removing the battery connetors in rear seats and frunk make sure your front seats are pulled all the way back and reclined all the way down for easy access 6. Use a adjustable head lamp to get proper light under places of the right dash trim 7. In the underside right door area use a clamp to hold the trim back, or a big stopper! the white plug over the large light blue cable needs to be unplugged and the thin dark blue cable need not be unplugged and can be simply fully removed from the cable plug protector casing for access 8. Post making all connections, you can push some of the excess cabling either under the seat trim or easily mostly into the right front underside of the door, make sure there are no bends and that its not tugging on the connectors 9. Don't forget to reconnect the tiny speaker and footwell lights when placing the right under dash trim back in 10. All male plugs should make a clickety sound when properly inserted into the female parts and this is good! 11. Enjoy the immersive sound (Mostly treble and mids frequencies are amped with this) 12. Prepare for your sub-woofer installation with a monster energy drink! Haha
Start to notice that the car now feels more "alive and chirpy", including the navigation announcement @@BRichSolution super happy with this installation!
This was super easy thanks to this video. The only thing that I spent some extra time on was the new clip on the side of the silver controller. Other than that, very well explained. Thanks!
@@BRichSolution BTW, almost forgot to mention. The layout of the coverpanel below the glovebox of my 2023 RWD (Made in China) is different than yours. It has only 2 pins and one Torx-screw. Besides that, it removes quite easily and after that the instructions are the same.
Great video! Have you noticed any difference in max volume? Or does the amp automatically take into account the extra power draw from the 4 speakers. Thanks again!
Hey! Thanks for a great video. I'm just a little confused near the end with the final connection with the blue end. Was the blue end connected to something before you attached the new harness? And where do you connect the final end after you connect the second last piece to the blue end?
Thanks for the video. I just installed this kit in my 2022 M3, and it works well. However i noticed, that the audio is a little louder on the driver side than on the passenger. Did anyone else have that problem?
Did you order the DIY (new version)? I saw another video where he installed a connector on the driver and passenger side. Does the new version only require access to the passenger side?
That first plug was an absolute Muther to install!!!!! Sound like most other tubers mentioned is subtle but there nonetheless. Wish I had a sub though. But that is a wee expensive to do…..
I installed the harness and the front left side speakers worked fine but the right side had no sound, including the original active factory speaker. Trying to contact Hansshow to determine if it is a defective wire harness.
When you were done, did your trip odometers reset? I'm only asking since I have one set up as "Lifetime" and don't want to reset it to 0. Great video btw!
Thanks for the video, I did this last week on a 2023 M3. Getting to that black connector under the dash was pretty hard, I had to get the wife to help because she is smaller than me and has smaller hands. Once we sorted that one out, the rest was relatively easy. Although it is hard to properly fit the extra connector under the trim on the B pilar. I managed to fit it in, but there is a small bulge under the carpet next to the seat. It does not interfere with the seat operation, but I don't like it. Speakers are operational now it feels like too much trebble 😂. Sounds really good. Now I want the sub 😅 and rear speakers. I wish there were some guidelines as to how to tuck all the thick cable away under the B-Pilar on your video. You sped up that part ! 😅 Anyway, success story for me and thanks again for the video.
April@@guatamalenpianoplayer9800 . One warning, very very rarely there is a noise coming from the (newly activated) left speakers that sounds like some voltage spike. It goes away. I couldn't determine what it was. But it happened maybe 3 times in 3 months.
Yes premium has an amp & subwoofer which you can also buy from Hanshow but you have to take more of the interior and trunk apart. Use “brichtesla” coupon code and receive 10% off any orders from Hansshow
Hey. I am thinking about doing the razor sx500 1800w build that you did but want to see a top speed and acceleration test with a gps phone app. if you could make an updated video it would be greatly appreciated.
I had a serious issue with the newest DIY design. It almost muted the driver speakers. I put every back and was testing the balance. Very low, distorted sounds coming out from the driver side speakers. I wouldn't recommend installing this. What if it overloaded the amp and fry the primary computer as well? Also, 90% of the wires are all gray, no color coding. How on earth they put them together? Very high chance of cross wiring.
I have the same issue on the passenger side. It worked fine for a while and then it started doing what you described. I think mine was built in November 2022 from Fremont. Help
Yes they are reserved for LR and performance model. The performance model has an additional subwoofer in the trunk. These 4 speaker help will the cabin
Thanks alot , I have model 3 2023 rw , car info says that i have premium speakers no external amplifier, and the 4 speakers are not working, should i install the harnesses or my problem is something else
Other owners commented does not void warranty. Your just connecting speaker not being used. Sound is more immersed. Not sure if it takes volume from others
Because i heard the premium speakers have 2 amps to enable those speakers and just hooking the harness in theory just makes the noise “louder” not better , and not enough amps to properly powering thr additional 4 speakers
OK so got the kit, got everything connected until I got to the pillar connections at the driver's seat which were not there. Had no luck and nothing. Would these be located somewhere else for a RWD 2023 car? Would you connect the last 2 possibly into the driver front part?
Question, after I watched your video and ordered the cable from your link and installed it, it was working great for about 2 weeks Has any of your followers had any issue with either side? Stop playing cuz right now the right side stopped working all of the tweeters did on the right side
B Rich, I am a little confused about Model 3 configs. The Standard RWD model has 4 speakers disabled or two pillar speakers disabled and no Subwoofer? The model 3 SR Plus has additional rear speakers? the model 3 LR has sub woofer?
I am confused. Why aren't they active? I have a 2019 M3 SR+ Intel atom and have Premium speakers and no external amplifier. Does this mean those 4 speakers aren't active in my car? Please help me understand so that I can purchase this.
I just bought a 2023 RWD 2 weeks ago. Manufactured 5/23/23 so it's brand new. Has the AMD. Will this work? On the website it says 2022, nothing about the 2023 and will i void my warranty at all????! Thanks a bunch!

0:23 so I have a question about when you said it works on the 2023 and back, since I have a 2021 Model 3 SR+, will this $59 version work on my Tesla? If so, I’ll grab it today and be sure to use your code. Best 😊
I’m not convinced that this wiring harness works on the 2021 m3…. Picked part the car and the plug 1 is different, grey plug instead of black. Also the stock Hannshow video for 2021 talks about wiring under the center console to the drivers side (LHD). What is that for?.
Are the connectors on the 2022 and 2023 Model 3 the same? I ordered a harness from a different site, it said it worked with a 2022 model 3, but the black connector from the box does not match what's on the harness....trying to figure out if 2022 and 2023 are different and I ordered the wrong one, or if they're the same and the seller misrepresented their product.
Crazy they include the speakers but not the harness, like why not save $ and weight by not including the speakers and extra wiring??? Also no software changes needed....interesting.
Just did the install. The new speakers sound is pretty minimal, most is still coming from the front speaker. Is this the case? Should I be noticing a huge difference? I have to hold my ear to the speaker to try and hear sound
Did you just assume that you have to unplug the 12v battery or it's actually confirmed that you would get fault errors? I would prefer to not mess with the battery
@@BRichSolutionthat's good to hear. There's been reports of some sound distortion in the pillar speakers (not the door tweeters) at moderate to high listening volume due to the harness new dyi design overloading on the amplifier running off the same single channel. How's the harness holding up since the install? No issues or distortion notice at moderate to high listening volume? Pillar mid frequency Sound quality is detailed (assuming that you're using very high quality music streaming)?
Hello! I believe I have received a faulty kit and emailed hansshow about it. Is there anything else I need to do on my end in order to receive an exchange kit! I really want this to work and was wondering if you had any ideas. Thanks!
@@BRichSolution No, no hum or white noise, basically this is what happened: We plugged everything in properly then booted up the car and turned on the sound system. The drivers side tweeter and window speaker worked, but not the passenger tweeter/window speaker. Also, the front dashboard speaker on the passenger side was somehow disconnected even though everything was connected properly. At first, I thought maybe we missed something but after troubleshooting, we found out the module for the rocker panel on the passenger side was doing some funky stuff. After disconnecting the white male connection, the passenger window speaker started working along with the front dash speaker, and the driver tweeter/window speaker stopped working. No humming at all, just completely disconnected.
Just tried ordering a cable on 1 May and it hasn’t shipped. The customer service just kept saying hold on, which is concerning since they are based in China. I told them to cancel the order and we shall see if they go through with it
I installed the hansshow DIY harness on my 2023 model 3 and it was underwhelmed. My right side speakers didn't work when the cabin temperature got too high (30C/86F outside). Hansshow started a service ticket with me but stopped responding after day 1, and it's been 20 days with 8-10 unanswered messages. I ended up uninstalling it. Wouldn't have minded the "underwhelming" results if the harness worked properly for me, so I'm indifferent. Great value to have 4 extra speakers for $59 USD!
Interesting because I had the same problem with the right side not working. It was also warm that day but don’t understand why that would affect how it would not work. Will try to reinstall and see if it was a connection problem.
I bought a 2023 Tesla model 3 RWD and got it in the middle of March. Does this already have the speakers activated? It doesn’t sound like it but I want to make sure before I tear the car apart to put the harness in. Also, has anyone had any issues with the warranty getting voided due to this harness install?

2 things that might help that weren't mentioned. 1) Move your passenger chair back before taking out the battery 2) the harness with the swivel lock needs to be pressed in in order to unswivel it. Hi! What month did you your 2023 Tesla get built? I heard the newer 2023 models don’t come with speakers anymore. Thanks!
April@@guatamalenpianoplayer9800 . One warning, very very rarely there is a noise coming from the (newly activated) left speakers that sounds like some voltage spike. It goes away. I couldn't determine what it was. But it happened maybe 3 times in 3 months.
So activating this speakers means almost the same as the more premium system. What left in compare to the premium? the amps and the subwoofer right?
Yes premium has an amp & subwoofer which you can also buy from Hanshow but you have to take more of the interior and trunk apart. Use “brichtesla” coupon code and receive 10% off any orders from Hansshow
@@BRichSolution lmk if u make a video on that
Hey. I am thinking about doing the razor sx500 1800w build that you did but want to see a top speed and acceleration test with a gps phone app. if you could make an updated video it would be greatly appreciated.
Here is speed test from my latest 1800W build

Thank you
What do you think about it decreasing the impedance at the ICE, since the speakers are wired in parallel?
I don’t have a good enough ear to tell the difference
I’m not really educated on speakers, do you mind explaining what you mean by “decreasing the impedance at the ICE”?
I had a serious issue with the newest DIY design. It almost muted the driver speakers. I put every back and was testing the balance. Very low, distorted sounds coming out from the driver side speakers.
I wouldn't recommend installing this. What if it overloaded the amp and fry the primary computer as well?
Also, 90% of the wires are all gray, no color coding. How on earth they put them together? Very high chance of cross wiring.
Did you order harness from Hanshow or Aliexpress?
@@BRichSolution Hansshow
I had this same issue, but for the passanger side. Also bought from Hansshow. Did you take delivery recently? My 2023 was built May/June 2023
@@thedhdrake March build, from Fremont.
I have the same issue on the passenger side. It worked fine for a while and then it started doing what you described. I think mine was built in November 2022 from Fremont. Help
Do you know how this will affect me if I want to setup a subwoofer later? Or will I be okay to do this now and then doe the subwoofer later?
If you want subwoofer buy the package on hanshow with the subwoofer and use code BrichTesla to get 15% off
@@BRichSolution Should I do the speaker activation first? or will it interfere with the subwoofer upgrade? Could you send a link to it?
I had this one on my 23 model 3 rwd. But passenger side top speaker is not working. Any iideas? Please help!!
Werid one speaker not working. Not sure what to do. Try rebooting the car?
I’ll try!! Thanks
any idea why those speakers are even there if they're not activated from the factory? Are they reserved for a higher trim package or something?
yeah i think they're activated on the Performance Model 3
Yes they are reserved for LR and performance model. The performance model has an additional subwoofer in the trunk. These 4 speaker help will the cabin
@@BRichSolution interesting. I wonder how Tesla service would react to that mod in the case of a service call...
@ they wouldn't lol.
Going to assume this is the same process for the Right hand side 2022 Model 3, with everything still being in the same spots? Great vid, thanks :)
That is correct
Great video. Anyone have had problems with the bance on the speakers?
Speakers small & don’t emmet a lot of sound compared to larger speakers
Great information this could be my first electric but don’t understand why this isn’t done from the factory?
Cheaper to make one model for all cars and tesla doesn’t connect to delineate trim levels
@@BRichSolution thanks..probably this audio upgrade is standard on the dual motor trim…
Does this add any bass? Ik it would be like an actual subwoofer but a lil something would be nice
Not much bass, speakers are small more filling sound
Thanks alot ,
I have model 3 2023 rw , car info says that i have premium speakers no external amplifier, and the 4 speakers are not working, should i install the harnesses or my problem is something else
Install harness
Doesnt this mess with the speakers because theres less power for the rest of the speaker. Does this void warrant?
Other owners commented does not void warranty. Your just connecting speaker not being used. Sound is more immersed. Not sure if it takes volume from others
Because i heard the premium speakers have 2 amps to enable those speakers and just hooking the harness in theory just makes the noise “louder” not better , and not enough amps to properly powering thr additional 4 speakers
How many hidden speakers in 23 Model 3 RWD? Some says 4 and some says 6?
4 in the a pillar. 2020 and earlier had 6, 4 in the A pillar and 2 in rear deck
is disconnecting the batteries necessary? I've seen other video where the installer didn't do that..
Not sure… i just saw in other videos if you didn’t you could get a fault code.
Installed the harness several times. Harness failed to activate the 4 tweeter speakers
Hanshow or Aliexpress version?
Hansshow
OK so got the kit, got everything connected until I got to the pillar connections at the driver's seat which were not there. Had no luck and nothing. Would these be located somewhere else for a RWD 2023 car? Would you connect the last 2 possibly into the driver front part?
Yes try connecting to the front connector and see if you get speakers to work
@@BRichSolution Do you know which 2 I would connect to? There is no videos online on this way
I tried 3 differing cables in my 2021 SR+ however none matched. I have a 2023 arriving in a couple of weeks - now I have the video will try again
Okay
I’m not convinced this kit works for 2021. The computer and black connector is different
Did the addition of this overload the small speakers and distort when at loud volumes?
No
Any idea if this would influence warranty when you bring in the car for issues in the future?
Many other people commented no
Question, after I watched your video and ordered the cable from your link and installed it, it was working great for about 2 weeks
Has any of your followers had any issue with either side? Stop playing cuz right now the right side stopped working all of the tweeters did on the right side
This is the first issue I have ever heard of. Maybe a bad cable?
I had the same issue - was it the cable? Did you ever get it to work??
I'm buying the Long Range, or Performance. But somehow I stopped and watched this video anyway. Thanks for sharing.... lol
Okay
B Rich, I am a little confused about Model 3 configs. The Standard RWD model has 4 speakers disabled or two pillar speakers disabled and no Subwoofer? The model 3 SR Plus has additional rear speakers? the model 3 LR has sub woofer?
2021 & 2022 SR+ and 2023 rwd and 4 deactivated speakers in A pillar. 2020 and earlier SR+ have 6 speakers (4 in A-pillar and 2 in rear deck)
Does tnis void your warranty?
No
I am confused. Why aren't they active? I have a 2019 M3 SR+ Intel atom and have Premium speakers and no external amplifier. Does this mean those 4 speakers aren't active in my car? Please help me understand so that I can purchase this.
Yes all SR and RWD the cars built with speakers but not hooked up so tesla can delineate the trim level
So if I’m ordering a 2023 Model 3 RWD now, which harness do I order? Thanks for the video, it would have taken me forever to figure that out.
The harness for 2022 model 3 with Amd chip
@@BRichSolution On the video, is this the Right Hand side or Left Hand side harness?
great video btw
Thanks
This does not include the speakers in the back and a subwoofer. Is there an easy way to add thise speakers?
Yes Hanshow sell kit to add the rear speakers and sub but its $750 and you have to take a part a lot more of the car
Does this work with 2020 Model 3 RWD ? UK, Right hand drive. Thank you
Yes, you have to buy right hand drive harness and and the one for 2020 as the computer chip is different
I just bought a 2023 RWD 2 weeks ago. Manufactured 5/23/23 so it's brand new. Has the AMD. Will this work? On the website it says 2022, nothing about the 2023 and will i void my warranty at all????! Thanks a bunch!
Yes it will fit a 2023 model. The car in video is a 2023 model 3
I have a 22 MYP. Aren’t the pillar speakers for the immersive sound which is something that RWD and SR+ don’t have?
Yes, thats why activating the speakers makes the sound more immersive but not as good a performance which has A subwoofer
Just bought my Model 3. So this needs to be done for the speakers to work?
Only on RWD or SR trim levels. LR and perf trim they are active
@@BRichSolution got it. Thank you.

@@BRichSolution@BRichSolution It is very weird. Why did Tesla cut the wire off?
0:23 so I have a question about when you said it works on the 2023 and back, since I have a 2021 Model 3 SR+, will this $59 version work on my Tesla? If so, I’ll grab it today and be sure to use your code. Best 😊
Yes works on 2021 model
I’m not convinced that this wiring harness works on the 2021 m3…. Picked part the car and the plug 1 is different, grey plug instead of black. Also the stock Hannshow video for 2021 talks about wiring under the center console to the drivers side (LHD). What is that for?.
I have a 2022 M3 Long Range, are those 4 speakers off for only the lower models? Also if anyone knows, why were they even off?
LR are on
Only SR or RWD models have deactivated
Why aren't they activated to begin with? Is Tesla still charging extra to activate all speakers for the premium interior?
Cheaper for vendor to build one configuration for all model 3. Only not active on SR+ and RWDt trim. Long range and performance they are active
So on a right hand drive would the connectors be on the left passenger side?
Yes
@@BRichSolution Thanks
Are the connectors on the 2022 and 2023 Model 3 the same? I ordered a harness from a different site, it said it worked with a 2022 model 3, but the black connector from the box does not match what's on the harness....trying to figure out if 2022 and 2023 are different and I ordered the wrong one, or if they're the same and the seller misrepresented their product.
Yes connectors are the same from 2022 to 2023. I ordered a 2022 harness as the 2023 was not available when I ordered and it fit on my 2023 model 3.
Crazy they include the speakers but not the harness, like why not save $ and weight by not including the speakers and extra wiring??? Also no software changes needed....interesting.
Probably cheaper for supplier to build one configuration
@@BRichSolution yes not that crazy lol
Hi.. would it be the same harness for the 2024 Model y rwd long range??
If the 2024 LR model Y has deactived speakers in pillar then yes
@@BRichSolutionyeah the four speakers on top doesn't work.. that make me angry. Thank you..
Just did the install. The new speakers sound is pretty minimal, most is still coming from the front speaker. Is this the case? Should I be noticing a huge difference? I have to hold my ear to the speaker to try and hear sound
It sounds different with different types of music. Some songs sound a lot more immersive compared to before
@@BRichSolution checked again, seems like it's only the passenger side that seems noticeable. Flawed harness ?
So just to be clear, for 2022 SR+ order DIY new version?
Yes
Did you just assume that you have to unplug the 12v battery or it's actually confirmed that you would get fault errors? I would prefer to not mess with the battery
Instructions from hanshow say to disconnect the 12v
So the model 3 standard range do come with extra speaker but not activate?
Yes
Got mine done today - took a bit of patience but all connected as described and sounds great.
Great to hear
Do the 2021-2022 RWD / SR+ have the speakers in the A pillar?
Yes
Which version do I get for a 2023 model 3 RWD?
DIY (New Versión)
LHD or RHD
Is your car left hand drive (LHD) or right hand drive (RHD). You want the AMD processor for 2023 model
It’s left hand drive. I’m in Canada.
So I’ll get the
DIY (new version)
2022+ (AMD Ryzen version)
Driver side: LHD
?
I've seen a video of this kit, where you also have to plug something in on the drivers side.. Is this no longer the case?
Its no longer needed
@@BRichSolution What about in a 2021 Model 3?
Is there a way to enable the sub?
There is no sub in SR or RWD. If you go to Hanshow they make a kit for $700 with 2 rear speakers and sub
How about the warranty? will it be still valid after this mod?
Yes still valid
Do this work for a refresh model 3 as well? I have a 2021, the amazon product only goes from 2018-2020
Works with 2021-2023 models
2018-2020 model similar procedure different wire harness for older computer
do all Tesla 2023 model 3 RWD have the inactive speakers. I heard rumors that they have been removed
Yes as far as i know
Is anybody experiencing distortion from the pillar speakers at high listening volume?
I haven’t
@@BRichSolutionthat's good to hear. There's been reports of some sound distortion in the pillar speakers (not the door tweeters) at moderate to high listening volume due to the harness new dyi design overloading on the amplifier running off the same single channel.
How's the harness holding up since the install? No issues or distortion notice at moderate to high listening volume? Pillar mid frequency Sound quality is detailed (assuming that you're using very high quality music streaming)?
Will this void any warranties potentially? Thanks
Other people commented no it doesn’t not void warranty
also, does this kit with 2023 Model 3 SR?
Yes, the video shows install on my 2023 rwd or SR
Hello! I believe I have received a faulty kit and emailed hansshow about it. Is there anything else I need to do on my end in order to receive an exchange kit! I really want this to work and was wondering if you had any ideas. Thanks!
Did the speaker start to hum or whine noise?
I told them to cancel the order and we shall see if they go through with it
Been 9 days and they haven’t shipped the cable, so far I do not recommend
I think mine i had no tracking info for about a week and then it showed up in 10-12 days
Bought mine on May 5, tracking was received the next day, now shows that it has cleared customs. Hopefully this week is here.
Sorry to hear that
Interesting because I had the same problem with the right side not working. It was also warm that day but don’t understand why that would affect how it would not work. Will try to reinstall and see if it was a connection problem.
Thank you very much.
Glad it could help
Does it improve the sound at all?
Yes much more immersive sound with 4 more speakers
I bought a 2023 Tesla model 3 RWD and got it in the middle of March. Does this already have the speakers activated? It doesn’t sound like it but I want to make sure before I tear the car apart to put the harness in. Also, has anyone had any issues with the warranty getting voided due to this harness install?
No all rwd do not have these speakers activated. Does not void warranty
You think this will work in 2024 Tesla Model Y RWD ?
All the speakers should be active in the model Y
@@BRichSolution
ITS model Y REAR WHEEL DRIVE and it has base model 7 speakers in it. And this 4 speakers aren’t working
