Relaxing L.A. Noire Music || 1940s Smoky Jazz Bar & Rain Ambience

- After a long day of teeth-gritting investigations and nail-biting interrogations, a simple drink is all anyone can ask for. It is rumored that Elsa Lichtmann, the city's famous nightclub singer, will be performing at The Blue Room Nightclub tonight. While the rain pours down outside, a drink doesn't sound too bad. One vodka martini, shaken, not stirred for the weary detective, please.

"beat it, toots. this street aren't what they used to be..."
Nice image, but the subject/verb agreement is off. Should be this street ISN'T, or these streets AREN'T.
Cheers!
@@TFWelsh aint. Dese streets aint what dey used ta be.
where does this phrase come from?

"Scram, whore. I'll smack you around till your tits fall out." - Hunter J. Biden, 2012
This wasn't a game, it was a fucking experience - and one for the ages at that.
should i play it ?
@@marvin2678 Yes!!! Especially if you love that old school noir and detective stuff. You'll have to be patient though, it's not a fast paced shooter.
@@marvin2678 yes you should, i bought this game like 7 months ago and i regret nothing, trully one hell of a experience
The best game of all time, if I can call it that, and I can for sure, I played it as a game on all consoles, on PC, on ps3, ps4, ps5, nintendo switch, on every possible platform and if I played it on the PC several times, I have the desire to play it again, so much nostalgia and somehow it has such a good vibe when I play it that I would play it again and after 15 times I played it I didn't get bored, I don't know if it's a problem until me or someone has a similar problem as me hahaha, I was looking for a game similar to it, but none can match it or come close to it, what can I say, more than games. I just have to wait for LA Noire 2 to come out, but I think I'll just keep waiting :(
“Phelps, badge number one-two-four-seven.”
_How can I help, Detective?_
Favorite line in game!!!
vhs effect on a 40s style video is wild
L.A. Noire and his soundtrack are so fucking glorious, they just slipped into my heart and they'll stay forever
Heavens to Betsy!! LA Noire went a bit over the top sometimes with the violence, the game almost escalated into a 50'ies version of GTA. And I wish the actual focus would have been more on good detective work. But yeah, great plot, characters and ambience.
Unnecessary use of profane word
I wanna meet this ‘man’! 🫡
“Are you alone?”
“Isn’t everybody?”
Perfect background music for writing police reports to. Such a good game too.
That’s what I’m doing rn 😂
I fill out paperwork at my job with this
I love this game and it’s soundtrack. I’ll keep hoping that someday we get a LA Noire 2 for modern consoles 🤞🏻
I would LOVE that.
It honestly is psychotic that we never got part 2, they need to have it set in mid-late 60s or early 70s
@@dorianwallace2623 or maybe the 1950s, keeping it closer to period aesthetic of the original game
I recently bought the game on PC, just to have some memories back, and bufff... I can not believe this game is from 2011, somehow this game aged like wine, the music, the atmosphere, it's just amazing, Rockstar really went above and beyond when they released back in the day...
*its
Dude...I've been listening to this soundtrack basically 5 times a week every week for the past 2+ years and it just blows me away how I NEVER get bored of it, how did they make something so brilliantly relaxing?
because thats the power of jazz.
LA confidential/ Mullholland falls have a good soundtrack. Both fantastic fuckin movies btw
So many egregious cash-in sequels out there, and still no sequel for what should be a whole series of interactive noir!
Unfortunately Team Bondi disbanded not long after LA Noire was released. They actually had concepts set to go for a sequel so it’s sad we’re not gonna see it come to life unless Rockstar pulls a Netflix-like move and gets the rights to produce it.
I'd want even a short VR continuation and I don't even have VR
I used to listen to this soundtrack religiously when I was younger. This has gotten me back into that mood!
It was a rainy night. The city streets of Los Angeles glistened under the dim glow of streetlights, casting long shadows that whispered secrets. In a world plagued by corruption and deceit, one man navigated the treacherous labyrinth with a cigarette between his lips and a trench coat draped over his broad shoulders.
Guy Noir.....Private Eye!!😅
Love listening to this while reading my thrillers.
What a vibe FR 🌆
I betcha this person listened to the mix once while reading one book they never finished 😆
Reading Goliath Bone at the moment and it surprisingly fits 0w0)/
I was amazed by the face-capture tech used in this game. And equally amazed at how it's not been utilised by any game ever again?! Not that it did me any good - I still got half the cases wrong. Loved the game though - The Gentleman's GTA.
tbh that face capture made the game graphics withstood time. like even if the textures arent great the life like facial animation carries it even to this day.
I absolutely LOVE this game. Still a gem, after all these years!
best all around game ever made. I still play it.
I have two magnums. One's in my coat and I keep it loaded. The other's in my desk and it keeps ME loaded.
How can a game have this good soundtrack ?
omg this is perfect for the fall
That’s the main fucking theme? Gosh the amount of emotion I get from hearing it. It’s like soul has become the slow streams of smoke that burn from my blunt. I just can’t get away.
been nearly 3 years now and still love putting this on....peak jazz
This game was an art piece.
Man, L.A Noire juat screams detective music! I'd honestly listen to these if I ever fancy myself reading a detective thriller.
Gumshoe
New Beginning Part 1 has some phrasing that seems influenced by Bernard Herrmann's Taxi Driver score. Those deep horn stabs that seem to speed up slightly. I am sure there are a lot more. Such great pieces here. Maybe a little Bill Conti on the Rocky soundtrack piano work too!
This game was lots of fun. I guess I always had a thing for Noire films from the '40s and '50s.
detective derpy is on the case!
Ur fired
@@nymphohalo my job here is done
I close my eyes and I am holding my love in my arms swaying back
and forth to the music. Many thanks for this soundtrack of a dream.💔
This makes me want to go and play my Double Upright Bass and play along. Music is fantastic, The beautiful L.A. of the 40's is gone.
I played this game over a long weekend and as a fan of Chinatown I LOVED IT. Amazing piece of work.
This is absolutely amazing! Thank you for uploading such a video, it really helps to relax! 😎🌟
"LAPD! Put your hands in the air."
This music and game are so much a Masterpiece , it is unique and I want more, thanks so much for the playlist unreleased tracks and sounds effects.
To this day, THE ABSOLUTE BEST underrated GTA esque game that I’ve ever played and the ONLY one that I played thru several times, aside from San Andreas and 4.
Oooooh yeah! Game play just went up one hundred notches! Thank you! 🙂👍
Absolutely wonderful!
I listened to the whole OST when I was younger, filled with absolute vibes :]
Enfin une bonne playlist, qui réussit à rendre honneur aux musiques du jeu
best drawing music, love this soundtrack thank you times a billion
I definitely just solved a mystery and now I’m at the bar with a nice bourbon.
Fantastic, thank you.
Big ups, flowers & ambience
Really need to make another one of these games
This was nice :)
I love this. Properly atmospheric.
I love la noire one of my favorite games of 2011
That trumpet sound ❤
Very smooth.
No other game brings me such strong nostalgic feeling like La noire, just hearing those few notes on trumpets warms me up,it pains that they never made a sequal to this game but i can always go back to this masterpiece
Отличная музыка! Спасибо!
Absolutely brilliant noire score / ambience, as if I walked into the very pages of Raymond Chandler...
Beautiful ❤
Love the soundtrack, game, all of it's entirety. My favorite character Herschel Biggs.
One of my fav games ever. with a great soundtrack to boot. Sucks the developers were scandalous and there was drama. Would have loved another spin off of this game
Just perfect.
Beauty music Jazz Noir Ambient🧘♂️🎶
Wasn’t sure about this game then I listen theses amazing soundtrack, want to play it right now 👾
Many thanks for sharing this video 🙏🙏🙏
Somes you just gotta shake the youtube tree and see what jazz music mix falls off
I need to listen to this while walking through Balboa Park at 2 in the morning.
Love it! :)
Amazing
Beautiful 🎉

so classy 🥃
19:38 this one is so great as well, the whole soundtrack is...
Love it, reminds me of the SpongeBob episode and the food inspector
This sound track is good for study just hope this game will have a sequel is. Fantastic
masterpiece
This game was one of the best ever!
Very Miles Davis... Love old gumshoe film noir, not played this game but the soundtrack is music to my ears. Ps also Philip Harper
I'm reminded of Jerry Goldsmith's scores for CHINATOWN and LA CONFIDENTIAL. Moody, bluesy, perfect.
The soundtrack to the end of my workday. In a recliner with a glass of covosier, of course.
Much overlooked genre and timeframe in games.
This music still raises some lumps, boy!
All i need now is a cigar and whiskey🥃
Where did you find the unreleased tracks? They're some of the best. Great job on this, BTW.
best all around game ever made. I still play it.
Best🎉
It looked like rain, so I got up to close the window. That guy on the sidewalk was still playing his sax.
He was good, but I had heard enough for one day.
When I turned back to my desk, she was already standing in front of it.
"Can I help you?", I said.
"No, Mr. Starker, I'm here to help you.", she whispered. "You placed a Want Ad for a secretary in today's paper. I'd like to apply for the position."
"Cookie, you can have any position you want." I replied, "You're hired as of now. And from now on, call me Mick."
"Oh, thank you Mr, uh, Mick." she squealed, "You don't know how happy this makes me."
"Sit down, sugar, pour yourself a drink. We've got all night to get to know each other. And you don't know how happy this'll make me!", I said as I removed my tie.
That's when the phone rang. That's when it all started to go sideways.
Who could've figured that she'd wind up dead, and I'd be sitting in a jail cell talking to you?
As a film Noire fan, I feel like I can happily say this monologue epically encapsulates the genre. From the “femme fatale” dame to the “how do you think I got here?”
Nicely written! ❤
The Noire genre is really stylized and wonderful. Anyone who enjoys the game style should also just check out film Noire history. Jazz/blues is generally not far behind.
@@maryfellner4244 Thanks, angel. You're a good kid.
35:25 the part where you had to chase that one dude in the underground maze 💀
I caught the blackjack right behind my ear. A black pool opened up at my feet. I dived in. It had no bottom.
Good music for reading PKD noire Sci-fi, just started A Scanner Darkly.
last season, on Bosch
i really played this game just for the jazz vibes
this game should have more attention fr
fun fact after i finshed the game every morning i play this video and make a black coffe
Да,стоит играть ради джаза и того времени.Пусть и прошедшего.
Playing Grim Fandango while listening to this.
smokey jazz music is both noir music and the hey arnold soundtrack to me lol
ahh yes.. the vhs look. classic 40s
🤌
The first piano chords from this video sounds just like the one you hear throughout Joey Bada$$ From Da tombs
A cup of joe and my lucky strikes to help me study for the accounting exam
“What happened to the days when a Joe could make an honest living in this town, providing for his wife? For a broad to even look your way, you’d need to be some Silver-Screen Bigshot or Rockefeller type.”
Mr.J? I miss you ! is there a possibility to see us very soon ?
❤
What exactly is this wonderful list? Is it a mix of the original soundtrack with themes from other places? Sometimes it sounds like the game music, but sometimes is another thing? Flowers and Ambience, can you tell?
"I don't mind a reasonable amount of trouble" - Humphrey Bogart The Maltese Falcon
"Like a midget at a urinal i was going to have to stay on my toes"
Nice. I've been listening to this soundtrack for years. The game was poor and I could only try and play it once. Yes, another great soundtrack.
the game is decent tbh
Does anyone know if they play this type of music in jazz places? Seems like the jazz I always hear is not smooth/light jazz
LA Noire hands down one of the greatest games of all time and they should make this a tv series and why not the cast of this game have a of acters and actresses from the tv series madmen
Why we don't have a L.A NOIRE movies or TV series yet? It would be fantastic.
First song sped up is a Joey badass beat
Im trying to find a link with these soundtracks, without rain effects... without success :(
5:46 Torched Song/ The Real Tuesday Weld ft. Claudia Brüken

“Looking at the dame, she had the same kind of trouble etched into her skin as mine. We were both caught in this web of deceit, chasing shadows and hoping for redemption. But redemption was a luxury we couldn’t afford.”
