The best game of all time, if I can call it that, and I can for sure, I played it as a game on all consoles, on PC, on ps3, ps4, ps5, nintendo switch, on every possible platform and if I played it on the PC several times, I have the desire to play it again, so much nostalgia and somehow it has such a good vibe when I play it that I would play it again and after 15 times I played it I didn't get bored, I don't know if it's a problem until me or someone has a similar problem as me hahaha, I was looking for a game similar to it, but none can match it or come close to it, what can I say, more than games. I just have to wait for LA Noire 2 to come out, but I think I'll just keep waiting :(
Exactly. It's not for people who want to get from point A to B and finish a game ASAP. You are supposed to take it slow and enjoy the atmosphere. I just finished my second playthrough after first playing it 10 years ago.
Heavens to Betsy!! LA Noire went a bit over the top sometimes with the violence, the game almost escalated into a 50'ies version of GTA. And I wish the actual focus would have been more on good detective work. But yeah, great plot, characters and ambience.
I recently bought the game on PC, just to have some memories back, and bufff... I can not believe this game is from 2011, somehow this game aged like wine, the music, the atmosphere, it's just amazing, Rockstar really went above and beyond when they released back in the day...
Dude...I've been listening to this soundtrack basically 5 times a week every week for the past 2+ years and it just blows me away how I NEVER get bored of it, how did they make something so brilliantly relaxing?
Unfortunately Team Bondi disbanded not long after LA Noire was released. They actually had concepts set to go for a sequel so it’s sad we’re not gonna see it come to life unless Rockstar pulls a Netflix-like move and gets the rights to produce it.
I was amazed by the face-capture tech used in this game. And equally amazed at how it's not been utilised by any game ever again?! Not that it did me any good - I still got half the cases wrong. Loved the game though - The Gentleman's GTA.
tbh that face capture made the game graphics withstood time. like even if the textures arent great the life like facial animation carries it even to this day.
New Beginning Part 1 has some phrasing that seems influenced by Bernard Herrmann's Taxi Driver score. Those deep horn stabs that seem to speed up slightly. I am sure there are a lot more. Such great pieces here. Maybe a little Bill Conti on the Rocky soundtrack piano work too!
That’s the main fucking theme? Gosh the amount of emotion I get from hearing it. It’s like soul has become the slow streams of smoke that burn from my blunt. I just can’t get away.
No other game brings me such strong nostalgic feeling like La noire, just hearing those few notes on trumpets warms me up,it pains that they never made a sequal to this game but i can always go back to this masterpiece
One of my fav games ever. with a great soundtrack to boot. Sucks the developers were scandalous and there was drama. Would have loved another spin off of this game
It was a rainy night. The city streets of Los Angeles glistened under the dim glow of streetlights, casting long shadows that whispered secrets. In a world plagued by corruption and deceit, one man navigated the treacherous labyrinth with a cigarette between his lips and a trench coat draped over his broad shoulders.
"You think that thing is going to scare me? You don't have the iron in your bones to pull the trigger...and even if you did, your boss told you he just wants to see me. Now why don't you put that thing away before you get yourself, hurt, Nancy..."
I looked up the flight of stairs leading to Miler's Bar...well, I said to myself - if I don't play it right those same stairs I'm going down without using my feet. At the top of the stairs, was a gorilla in a comically too small bow tie and button up vest. He snorted at me, but stood aside are revealed a door behind him. The whole time I thought he was just standing there against a empty wall.
It looked like rain, so I got up to close the window. That guy on the sidewalk was still playing his sax. He was good, but I had heard enough for one day. When I turned back to my desk, she was already standing in front of it. "Can I help you?", I said. "No, Mr. Starker, I'm here to help you.", she whispered. "You placed a Want Ad for a secretary in today's paper. I'd like to apply for the position." "Cookie, you can have any position you want." I replied, "You're hired as of now. And from now on, call me Mick." "Oh, thank you Mr, uh, Mick." she squealed, "You don't know how happy this makes me." "Sit down, sugar, pour yourself a drink. We've got all night to get to know each other. And you don't know how happy this'll make me!", I said as I removed my tie. That's when the phone rang. That's when it all started to go sideways. Who could've figured that she'd wind up dead, and I'd be sitting in a jail cell talking to you?
As a film Noire fan, I feel like I can happily say this monologue epically encapsulates the genre. From the “femme fatale” dame to the “how do you think I got here?” Nicely written! ❤ The Noire genre is really stylized and wonderful. Anyone who enjoys the game style should also just check out film Noire history. Jazz/blues is generally not far behind.
i really played this game just for the jazz vibes this game should have more attention fr fun fact after i finshed the game every morning i play this video and make a black coffe
A dark night......in a city that knows how to keep it's secrets. But on the twelfth floor of the Acme building, one man is still trying to find the answer to life's persistent questions......Guy Noir..Private Eye!!
What exactly is this wonderful list? Is it a mix of the original soundtrack with themes from other places? Sometimes it sounds like the game music, but sometimes is another thing? Flowers and Ambience, can you tell?
5:59 “Looking at the dame, she had the same kind of trouble etched into her skin as mine. We were both caught in this web of deceit, chasing shadows and hoping for redemption. But redemption was a luxury we couldn’t afford.”

"beat it, toots. this street aren't what they used to be..."
Nice image, but the subject/verb agreement is off. Should be this street ISN'T, or these streets AREN'T.

@@marvin2678 Yes!!! Especially if you love that old school noir and detective stuff. You'll have to be patient though, it's not a fast paced shooter.
@@marvin2678 yes you should, i bought this game like 7 months ago and i regret nothing, trully one hell of a experience

Favorite line in game!!!
L.A. Noire and his soundtrack are so fucking glorious, they just slipped into my heart and they'll stay forever

I wanna meet this ‘man’! 🫡
I love this game and it’s soundtrack. I’ll keep hoping that someday we get a LA Noire 2 for modern consoles 🤞🏻
I would LOVE that.
It honestly is psychotic that we never got part 2, they need to have it set in mid-late 60s or early 70s
@@dorianwallace2623 or maybe the 1950s, keeping it closer to period aesthetic of the original game

I betcha this person listened to the mix once while reading one book they never finished 😆
Reading Goliath Bone at the moment and it surprisingly fits 0w0)/
They nailed the music and ambience of the era fucking perfectly.
So many egregious cash-in sequels out there, and still no sequel for what should be a whole series of interactive noir!
Unfortunately Team Bondi disbanded not long after LA Noire was released. They actually had concepts set to go for a sequel so it’s sad we’re not gonna see it come to life unless Rockstar pulls a Netflix-like move and gets the rights to produce it.
