I have to admit, Blade Runner was one of the reasons I moved to Tokyo. One of the most influential, if not THE most influential movie of my life. Cheers from Tokyo 2023.
The scene with Deckard on the balcony of his home and drink in his hand battling his own demons while Rachel is inside.... and cars flying past in the night is such an iconic scene. Was a short scene but Ridley Scott captures so much with that visual without words that till this day can't be matched.

And when you close your eyes you can nearly feel that world, the rain coming down, the glow of neon lights. For a moment siiting in a noodle shop in an overcrouded city thats as hostile and depressing as it also is beautiful. And it really is hard to put into words, because it´s also much more. This is so unique and poignant. I really love ambient music in general, but I don't think any of it has moved me as emotionally as this does. There's touches of loneliness, alienation, patience and so much more that its hard to pin down. It's strong enough that I can close my eyes and feel it move across my skin when i'm tired.

I was 20 when BLADE RUNNER came out. I was blown away. 2049 seemed like blasphemy until I watched again and again, and I realized how deep. It made me connect both movies in a much much deeper level. We’ve become the AI, they became human, with more compassion than us. It made 2019 seem exactly like 2019. In the case of 2049, when they wrote it, lightening struck!
Sometimes one can find one's self in difficult situation that requires deep reflection to determine the right next steps. This is the perfect music for that.

Years ago I played a game on the Dreamcast called Phantasy Star Online. I remember clear as day the hours I ploughed into that game, knowing I’d always get to the same point and never be able to beat the boss…but I didn’t mind. Whenever I played it, walking round the space stations, spending credits in the store, buying new armour, I’d get lost in it. The music was similar to this. Futuristic cyber-like. Anytime I hear this now it triggers me memories of PSO and it takes me back to being a kid again, lost for hours in front of my TV, not a car win the world and fully engrossed in the game. Amazing piece of music, keep them coming ❤

This may be one of the best you've ever done, and your visuals just get better with every new release. I applaud you, my friend, on another beautiful slice of perfection... Keep up the amazing work.
I want an open world game like this, with next gen graphics. And, not like Cyberpunk 2077, with all of it's flashy lights, and over the top action, but something like traditional cyberpunk; With a dark, melancholy environment, on a dead, post-modern world, with a really subtle soundtrack like this in the background that plays while you wander the streets as a Blade Runner, seeking replicants. That would be so aesthetic, and it isn't the cyberpunk game we need, but the one that we deserve.
The closest to this style and music a game got to (Not banging Cyperpunk) were two games, Neocron and Neocron 2. Older MMO games in the early 2000's up till 2012. Great games but dated nowadays. The music and style was spot on thou.

this visual and music make me feel something indescribable, something that cannot be realized, only felt
Sharing memorable that i can't remember, like ancestors from the future
Isn’t music lovely that way? That’s art.
@@PilkiesmaknmusicA glimpse of a world we may never experience. A past that never was, a now that isn´t or a future that never will be. A longing to experience a place that cannot exist. A want that can never be realised, existing in unresolvable suspension.
I've had this running in the background for days, I think I'm addicted!
Watching Blade runner when i was young i gave up on it after the initial chase and retirement of the snake dancer. After that it seemed boring…
But now at 52 my life, this crazy world and its sickness has me meditating as i appreciate the non action scenes bcoz they relate to my life above and beyond…
This movie is STILL decades ahead of its time!!!
This brings tears to my eyes, it's so beautiful 💖
The way this track blends different sounds and textures is truly masterful. It's a testament to the art of ambient music.
ive started using ambient music when working on school stuff. I ALWAYS come back to this video. It's soft tranquility really helps me concentrate, I never knew how much I needed it to get work done.
The music is great, but that visual is OUTSTANDING!! I wish I had an animated desktop of this.
Often here in Berlin, now raining season, I get a Whiskey bottle at night and listen to this all by myself on my home rooftop thinking "All those moments will be lost in time, like t..."
i feel the same exactly. exactly....
THX for sharing this , nice name btw 🙂
@@beneficient7467yep 100% ...all the greatest times, first kisses, wars won and lost, break ups, the human struggle. You need to step back sometimes and think. Life can be very hard at times. I struggle badly with certain things. God bless everyone
And not just for Roy, but for us all.
We are all replicants too.
I think that may be what Roy figured out at the end...
And for those who don't get it then, Gaff spells it out: " Too bad she won't live.... But which of us do?"
Whiskey in Berlin? Not Beer? :) JK
Some people can be hurtful.but to be alone is so wonderful. Your positive thoughts, without interference, and this music solitude is good.
Agreed
I discovered your channel recently. You provide quality music with stunning visuals. It inspires a pensive mood.
(Pensive) hmmm I'll have to check that out🎉
I found this over a month ago, and play it often. It's still the best ambient Blade Runner music I've ever heard... It's just beautiful....
You really managed to capture the essence of the Bladerunner atmosphere and the rain enhanced it even further. Thanks for the upload.
Danke fürs hochladen!
Heute haben wir so ein Wetter, nur hier ist mehr Natur als Utopie. Als wir Monate der Trockenheit erlebten, da habe ich mir abends diese Musik angehört. Es leiden nicht nur die Menschen.
It took a second watch for me to realize how awesome 2049 is.
He's farming bugs for human consumption at the beginning....very prophetic.
@@Mrtwowongs yes, big fat grubs to be precise. Not too appetizing as is.
Same. Firts time it was boring. But second time I fall in love with this movie.@@JeffReams
Sometimes one can find one's self in difficult situation that requires deep reflection to determine the right next steps. This is the perfect music for that.
The secret seems to be rain sounds, a main root note as bass and some friggin awesome triangle waves sustained with lfo's and high pitched strings with infinite reverb.
Thanks fort this, I have to go try now
Years ago I played a game on the Dreamcast called Phantasy Star Online.
No way man, I have the same memory. That music!!
have you heard of Flash Back?
@@tizzlekizzle I have
GREAT VISION HERE AND MUSIC...THE MOVIE WAS AHEAD OF IT'S TIME,IT WOULD BE GREAT IF MORE MOVIES LIKE BLADE RUNNER WERE MADE, 5-13-23
I watched this movie back in 1982 and there was just something about it that has hooked me ever since.I have watched it again and again loving all of it and the soundtracks and special effects
Awesome movie lucky to have been around to enjoy
Man, this is so relaxing I could just listen all night, let alone watch - just hypnotic. Thanks for this.
Oh my WORD! Is that Captain Pike after the accident? He looks so peaceful and well medicated, watching the rain drops bounce off his lap-blanket. Love it!
I left out your graphics. Now those are remarkable. There is so much talent out there. All of you artists out there, creating these awesome graphics and sounds that really transports one to a digital place in their mind, well, it is awesome. Thank you.
I have sat on a balcony in this kind of rain and enjoyed the whole sensation. But this music would have made the whole thing perfect. Thank you.
I could jam to this all day with a clean electric guitar tone, neck pickup, some delay and reverb.
Reminds me of the track in the Film Zabriskie Point....which is called Dark Star by the Grateful Dead.....beautiful guitar playing by Gerry Garcia
I was a teen when I saw blade runner. It truly effected me profoundly like no other. To this day a dream a sound a song a feeling . Takes me back to a place I never was. never completely come back from.this music takes me to that place . Thank you
This is an absolute masterpiece and delight. Why not have a spotify channel / playlist ? Dam !!!! Amazing track... thank you !
How can an urban hellscspe like that be so calming and peaceful? I dont know why id want to be there in that moment, but i do. Being on your own and just existing is sometimes so relaxing and nice.
This video told me i was the best when i clicked on it and it gave me a heart. So i gave it a thumbs up before i even listened to it. But now that I have listened to it, I am glad i did! Lovely atmosphere for writing and reading.
The rain backdrop did it for me what a trip ❤
David, your work is always the very best out there; but even among your other masterpieces, this one is exceptional. This may be one of the best you've ever done, and your visuals just get better with every new release. I applaud you, my friend, on another beautiful slice of perfection... Keep up the amazing work.
I just had this on for an hour and half. Been using this to study for 6 months. good focus Ambience.
Amazing. I've been playing this over and over...
I keep coming back here. This music has created a cozy safe place for me to rest where I can let my mind out to wander and create.
I feel you my man. I would love for a game that has this vibe. Glad I can create these, but it would be awesome to experience it in vr game
The closest to this style and music a game got to (Not banging Cyperpunk) were two games, Neocron and Neocron 2. Older MMO games in the early 2000's up till 2012. Great games but dated nowadays. The music and style was spot on thou.
@@CyrusEpion interesting, I'll have to check them out if they're on Steam. Right now I'm working on the S.T.A.L.K.E.R franchise, so maybe when I complete those, I'll hop into that.
bro, @@toska3528 I remember a blade runner game back in 1999 ?
@@MediaGroundTV yeah, it's a point and click adventure game. It's a great game, but I want something open world and a lil' but more modern
I love blade runner and it’s visual of futuristic techs. And this scene and music makes me feel it me alone sitting in the night city view balcony, and realising where am I in my life goals now or am I going in a right life path… absolutely perfect music for me. 🌆🔥
I usually listen to this during my workouts, it put me in a zone where i can focus 100% on myself and the craft. Great for focus but also relaxes, it's kinda hard to describe the feelings i experience with this. Thank you
Almost in tears whith creating the sound and soul as Vangelis
awesome music to escape the realm that we sometimes trap ourselves into but this kind of music sets that state of mind free.
This stopped me in my tracks. How unbelievably beautiful. Thank you.
Great Atmosphere gloomy and raining. This Blade Runner inspired Video is awsome, and I love the music as well.👍
"Your music truly elevates us, inspiring our work at APE-AI. It's an honor to have you as our first subscription on this platform. We eagerly anticipate the remarkable melodies that lie ahead. Here's to a journey filled with rhythm and resonance! "
I'm really grateful that I found this channel 🙏
Thanks, good playlist. I need to rewatch this film - I watched it on a plane; hadn't slept in 48 hours and i wasn't really mentally aware haha.
The perfect music for when I fill out my study guides!! Thanks so much!! Love the original Bladerunner movie!!! A shame Ridley Scott never directed a Star Wars movie!!!
"I have seen moments that others wouldn’t believe. Glimpses of glory beneath starlit skies, engines roaring in the darkness, pushing forward where no soul dared to tread. I watched lights dance and flare in the blackness, marking the end of so many things-brilliant, fleeting, beyond any measure.
All those fragments of time, lost like mist vanishing with the dawn.
There comes a time when we understand... it all drifts away." -Ray Clubby
For all the hard work it must take to put these creations together - it's very much appreciated. Having your videos on in the background or on a second monitor while I work helps me stay relaxed and focused. Oh! And I just noticed you're from Sweden! Min fru och jag lär oss svenska på Duolingo! Tack så mycket från Amerika!
Cheers Adam:) glad you are learning Swedish haha. Awesome stuff. I'm learning English all the time ;)
Oh, wow! Soothing, for sure. Thank you for sharing your creativity. God bless you and yours.
Doing my homework to this is just magical. Truly.
I saw this movie on a plane but I had not slept for two days. I remember nothing except the unbearable beauty of the music and visuals. I still have no idea what happens in it. Recently I had a field course in the outback. Absolute middle of nowhere. Mundi Mundi plain. It was the most beautiful place I have ever been. I think the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. And there was a tree by a shed that felt so familiar And I realise now it's because it looked so much like a scene I can remember from this movie. The whole place was so beautiful. It was unreal.
A poets soul! Your writing is like a mirage of nostalgia. An evocative read. Thanks!
Beautiful post 🙏🏾
I can’t count how many times I have slept listening to this song, it’s just so impeccable
Thanks for letting me know. Glad you feel that way mate :)
I have fallen asleep easily the past few nights listening to this. Thank you for sharing.
Przepiękne pejzaże muzyczne, śliczna muzyka......wciągająca, nastrojowa....
The size and atmosphere of the sound opens my mind and reminds me how small I am
I want to say thank you so much for having this soundtrack, and your many others. For the last year I have been crafting an original IP sci-fi series and just recently got the pilot episode copyrighted and have several pitch meetings lined up in the coming months. Your music kept me inspired, calm, and in the focus while my 11 year old daughter ran around making noise. So thank you!
How did the pitch meetings go?
Don't know how you can sit still like that for such a long time. Pretty amazing
I once sat still for thirty eight years. such a wonder was i. and when there was no one to laugh at my joke, i got up and walked away...
This one is special indeed! reminds me of lonely nights walking around downtown Tokyo during business trips..keep up the good work!
After watching this video many times, I still go back to it. The sound is marvelous
This is perfect. Your creations have become an integral part of my personal stress reduction program.
Years before 2000 were absulute gem. Many legends passed away😢. Now everything is empty of emotion inclusing music
beautiful background, well made rain and music too
I would love to have this in a snow version for winter.
Hey Mr SpaceWave I listened to a bunch of your other videos - all great - but this one is outstanding. You really hit it this time.
I have been listening to this for over a year, almost every night. Sounds like it’s really from Blade Runner we. So well made. AMAZING.
You have grown so much so fast! I started listening to you when you were at around 33k not long ago, but jsyk I come everyday for a dose of your stuff. I'm just here chillin and I noticed your number, good job dude!
This is great. The music and the rain, with the city background, really tie it all together
