I clicked on this video because I very much appreciate how the way the room is designed to look like an actual person's room. Tons of interior design mistakes, makes it cozier - an imperfect, "real" place.
This one of favourite my go-to videos. I love the gentle visuals and relaxing sounds. I just observed how the lovely blue of the glassware has been duplicated in the scene through the blue of the bookbinders on the opposite shelves, on the table with the pot plant, and in the picture above the doorway. The less obvious details make this scene very special. Thank you for allowing us to soak in your beautiful art.

GREAT I was just designing the half of the room we are standing in and looking at the rest of it and thinking OH how I wish I lived here, I see a daybed, a door to a wooden hottub and herb garden I can rest my eyes on while typing at my desk, near door to the right. NO FIRE that is not in the fireplace okay!? And a kitty cat or two of COURSE must be looking towards the garden which attracts so many interesting things. Get to writing, writers! :D

So I've watched a bunch of your videos (and loved them) but for intense studying, this always becomes my go-to. There's something about the fire crackling, bird sounds, occasional scribble, etc. that just makes it sooooo good for focusing and staying motivated. Thank you so much for all the lovely content, appreciate your work. It has helped and is helping me through some tough times. :)
About two years ago my anxiety flared up really, really badly. I've always been a bit of a night owl but I couldn't sit without any sort of sound on anymore because I kept jumping at every little sound I heard. I ended up finding this video and listening to it every night to calm my anxiety. The flare up has ended now but I still listen to this every night to relax before bed. But I belatedly realized I never thanked you. This video helped me through a very hard time and now is just so soothing and relaxing. It feels like coming home. So thank you so much for this video.
Please don't stop making ambiance videos! I LOVE your channel! This is amazing! The idea of going back in time and spending hours just relaxing or working in a different time is simply magical. Please keep more coming! This is my favorite kind of thing, and I will be your fan forever if you keep it up! GOOD WORK!
Elijah, I apologize that I can only now respond to your comment, which touched my heart and made me smile. Thank you for bringing me a bright sunburst of joy; my wish is that someone or something will bring you the same. I intend to continue making videos at a slow but steady pace -- I hope that suits you. :)
Just left the library with some mystery novels 💙. I needed something to help relax me when driving thru the Traffic in Tampa FL and this is doing the trick on my 20 min commute to home. Thank You 💙💙💙
I was inspired by another comment to write this. I too have listened hours on end to this video while studying. It is now the night before my last exam ever, and in a few days I will graduate - finally, after 6 years of struggling through university. So I will come back when I have my diploma and properly thank you, but for now, I'll let my imagination take over one last time, and picture myself in this beautiful, idyllic place, with my nose in a leatherbound book, studying the night away...
I did it! I graduated!! (2 months later than expected, but I did it!) I will forever be grateful to this studious paradise you created, and to the encouraging messages in the comments ❤
This is lovely for working and staying focused, not as distracting as music can sometimes be but also not too lulling as pure white noise ambience (which is sometimes useful, too). A little bit of typewriter clicking, sparsely and gently strewn in, would fit, too, I think. Thanks for sharing!
This is an all time favorite, and since COVID, I've found this is one of a handful I rely on to be able to focus, push things off, and get work done while SAH. I also adore the room that's pictured, from the old texts, to the artwork, the ratty old cushion by the fireplace, and the fabulous collection of cobalt glassware. My only repeated problem, is the slurping. Bugs me enough to jar me out of focused work mode, to rush back to this tab and click forward to get past whichever slurping section is playing.
Please accept my grateful welcome! I hope perhaps some of my videos do indeed suit your taste. It would make me very happy to have a viewer as kind as you. :)
For some time, I was thinking about this video that it is a bit "cold". Somehow I did not like this as much as I am utterly in love with your other ones. But today I took time to carefully inspect all of the visual elements (as I am a heavily visually influenced person it matters for me greatly!) and I discovered so many nice and cozy things. So I have utterly changed my mind about this, and now I am enjoying the creative flow... Thank you dearest friend!
I’m totally going to be using this when writing my stories, it’s so calming and not distracting! I get distracted easily so having this will really help out
Feeling comfy working on my manuscript with this ambience. It helps me sustain my work mood through the night. Enjoy the solitude to concentrate on my writing while not feeling too lonely!

If this has brought you peace and concentration, I am so glad -- that is just what I hoped it might do. Thank you!
This has become a favorite of mine. All of your work is great.
absolutely love this one. love the shuffling around and page-flipping ^_^ and the bird is heavenly
Thank you very much for this awesome video. It helps me filling the silence in my head and concentrating. Spread the love, have a good day y’all ;)
I would sleep that room, so cozy and warm
this is my go-to comfort video while i study. i love it so so much and watch it almost every day. thank you!
me too
Just left the library with some mystery novels 💙. I needed something to help relax me when driving thru the Traffic in Tampa FL and this is doing the trick on my 20 min commute to home. Thank You 💙💙💙
Beautiful Ideas for basement and Fireplace
I was inspired by another comment to write this. I too have listened hours on end to this video while studying. It is now the night before my last exam ever, and in a few days I will graduate - finally, after 6 years of struggling through university. So I will come back when I have my diploma and properly thank you, but for now, I'll let my imagination take over one last time, and picture myself in this beautiful, idyllic place, with my nose in a leatherbound book, studying the night away...
I did it! I graduated!! (2 months later than expected, but I did it!)
I will forever be grateful to this studious paradise you created, and to the encouraging messages in the comments ❤
A big thank you .These are gold ! Lovely , Evocative , and very useful. Xxxx
It makes my heart beam to know that I have been able to share something useful. Thank you so much for saying so, Ian.
When I have serious work to do, I put this on. Absolute perfection! Thank you!
Beautiful work. Subtle and thoughtful composition, with a lovely soundscape. One of our favourites!
These have been a genuine gem in helping me to focus while working from home.
bro- the smoke damage to those antique books xxxxxxxx
This is lovely for working and staying focused, not as distracting as music can sometimes be but also not too lulling as pure white noise ambience (which is sometimes useful, too). A little bit of typewriter clicking, sparsely and gently strewn in, would fit, too, I think. Thanks for sharing!
Very glad I found this channel, I've been needing some atmospheric ambience to write to. Thank you so much for these videos. :)
I'm just seeing this now! What a beautiful place to write a novel..or ten. Thank you for this inspiring place!
제가 이 영상을 찾은 첫 한국인 인가요?
모든 집중유도 ASMR을 다 들어봤지만, 이 영상이 최고였습니다...........................
한국어만 찾았습니다... 처음 오는데 믿고듣겠습니다
This is so helpful for focusing. I just wanted to thank you for all the work you put into this.
Cleaned the kitchen to this.
Was really soothing
Your ambience videos are the absolute best. PLEASE make more. ❤❤❤
I just arrived at this site. By the description alone, I absolutely know I am going to love it.
Please accept my grateful welcome! I hope perhaps some of my videos do indeed suit your taste. It would make me very happy to have a viewer as kind as you. :)
@Ambience of Yesteryear please consider me your #1 fan. Your work is outstanding. Thoughtful and of best quality.
I get distracted easily so having this will really help out
thank you sooooo much! it makes me concentrate a lot and I have an important exam this week! greets from brazil :)
Was super frustrated doing an assignment and this calmed me way down. I could stare at this for hours! Thank you so much for making it!
Thank you for helping me focus while working from home!
Every note you play resonates with serenity. 😌🎶 Wishing you health, happiness, and an abundance of opportunities! 🌟✨
Awesome Background for Zoom!
This is one of my favorite videos thank you!!!
Oh god! This channel is like a dream!! It got all those ambiences I desperately searched everywhere and couldn't find.
Excellent video! I have quite noisy neighbours and this ambience helps keep me focussed for studying. Thank you 📚🌟
The wild songbirds are really making me miss summer and the warm weather. Can't wait
Thank you so much for this! Just appreciating ambiances like never before!! You Rock! subbed
I'm sitting in my own home library, listening to this, as I write.
lucky you :)
Feeling comfy working on my manuscript with this ambience. It helps me sustain my work mood through the night. Enjoy the solitude to concentrate on my writing while not feeling too lonely!
bu video olmadan nasıl ders çalışıyor muşum ben bilmiyorum.. okullar online olduğundan beri ders çalışmak için dönüp dolaşıp geldiğim tek ambiyans. harika gerçekten
Lovely background and soundscape. Thank you.
Thank you so much for your gift to the world.
ive tried many ambiance sounds but this magically pulls me in
This just what I needed. And it looks amazing on my 75” tv. I’m truly transported. Thank you!
Please, continue making these videos, they are unique!
Lion Witch and Wardrobe goes perfect with this.
I think I've replayed this video a hundred times since last year
At least 1,000 of these views are me I'm convinced
The other 186,000 views are mine. LOL
@@nelllesley9182 Thank you! Thank you! I was wondering where it came from. I now have a new place to visit. :-) Here is more info: www.telegraph.co.uk/travel/destinations/europe/united-kingdom/articles/the-beautiful-room-every-writer-longs-to-possess/
@@Gothiqueluv you forgot mine LOLZ
I have listened to this video line 30 times and going now. The occasional scribble from a quill or pencil is awesome. I would love to see like, the citadel from game of thrones where the meisters study and learn. There library is huuuge.
I usually combine something like this with an ambient movie soundtrack as I can't work in silence but I love the image and the sounds of the room. Currently listening to a Downton Abbey ambient track alongside this and it's just perfect :) Thank you!
