"Its NOT the size of your thighs!
It's the planting and the lifting, the crossing and releasing!"
I've been so worried my thighs and my knees are too fat for crossovers! Thankyou Dirty Deb'!😘

You'll get it! I'm heavy too, it seems like 90% of things I'm afraid I "can't" do are only "can't" in my mind.

This is funny because when I first started skating, I did this exact exercise for like a week over and over. I began off skates just doing it in my living room on my carpet, then moved to skates. It helped ALOT!! Practicing these fundamental skills really builds muscle, helps your balance, and just makes your body stronger overall. Love you Deb! Thank you for continuing to make these videos.

Thanks Dirty! I watched this video and practiced on the carpet. Today went to the skatepark and practiced for about 40 mins trying to crossover my right side is better than my left. About the 60 mins mark I finally experienced the left side crossover! I was so excited, i made sure to add an extra 15 mins to my park time just to make sure it stuck. Thanks for all your lessons on here.

been taking skating seriously for abt a month now and i can skate forward, back, transition forward to back, i can jump, i can quick stop, i can moonwalk and what not. i’ve been trying to work on crossovers but i just can’t get it, and it makes me feel like a failure because i felt like i’ve learned so much so quick, but it feels like im losing that ability because of my *inability* to do something. this is so helpful deb. so inspirational. love ur channel sm :)
also, recently went to a rink for the first time. so fun!
