Lyrtics!
All ye thirsty men, hast thou heard
The tale of a place, covered in sand
If ye move too quick (Oh-Way-Oh)
Ye fall and die buried in the land
All the merchants line up by the Nile
They sell their goods, set up in a line
Gild crocodiles (Oh-way-oh)
They snap their teeth
On your smoking pipe
Pagan types with thy hookah pipes say
(Whey-oh-Whey-Oh-Whey-Oh-Way-Oh)
Smoke like an Egyptian
And if you by chance, make your way
To this land, far across the sea;
I must warn you, (Oh way-oh)
They only smoke, they aren’t allowed to drink
All the children so sick of Church,
They like the bard and the merry band.
When the Church Bell rings (Whoa-oh-oh)
They're dancing like an Egyptian
All the squires in the marketplace say
(Whey-oh-Whey-Oh, Whey-Oh-Way-Oh)
Fight like an Egyptian.
[Playeth Thine Fucking Lute]
Slide your feet up the street, bend your back
Shift your arm then you pull it back.
Life's hard you know (Oh-way-oh)
So strike a pose on the saddleback
If you’re looking to join the Knights
They're hanging outside the smithy’s shop.
They sing and dance (Oh-way-oh)
Drinking until they start to rock
While overseas, their enemies
The ones that they call the saracens
And the pagans know (Oh-way-oh)
They walk the line like Egyptians
All the Knights by the smithy’s sign say:
(Whey-oh-Whey-Oh, Whey-Oh-Way-Oh)
Fight like an Egyptian
Fight like an Egyptian
It is nice and all but it feels kind of too chill(slow) which is not necessarily a bad thing but different than original
enes akar speed it up to 1.25

When the approching Mongolian armies get pushed back by the Mamluks.
Abbasids*
@@ArstotzkaEmpire It was a mix of both. Mamluks and Abbasids, although the Mamluks were much stronger than the Abbasids when the Mongolians were attacking, and easily overshadows the Abbasids. The Abbasids were kicked out of modern day Egypt about 1250, where the Mamluks took over.
The Mongolians wouldn't attack until about 10 years after that, and the Abbasids wouldn't have survived without Mamluk support. The Mamluks were one of the main reasons why the Il-Khanate didn't expand farther into the Middle East, as the Mamluk statecraft and military was too much for the Il-Khanate to invade. It is the same reason why the Il-Khanate didn't expand too far into Anatolia, as Europe was too strong for them to take on.
@@nyannibalism No, you're wrong. The Abbasids defeated the Mongols at the battle of Baghdad stopping their invasion permanently, The Mamlucks were mostly losing to the Illikhanate but because of the goverment's instability and immediate death of the rulers they didn't conquer most of remains of the Abbassids.
@@ArstotzkaEmpire My mistake, I was thinking about the wrong dynasty. I was thinking of the Ayyubid dynasty. The Ayyubid dynasty was the one that was kicked out of Egypt and then would fall to the Mongolians, just to become Mamluk. They had names that were close so my brain farted and got the two mixed up.
However, the Abbasid Empire did infact meet its end in the Mongolian invasions, leaving the Mamluks and other Arabian forces to hold off the invaders. The Abbasids fell in 1258, two years before the Mamluk-Ilkhanid wars started. The Abbasids did fight the Mongolians in Persia, but they couldn't hold them off for long, causing a swift take over on the Mongolian part (the sack of Baghdad lasted not even a month in length). However, it was after the fall of the Abbasids that the Mongolians started started to have troubles in the Middle East, due to the combined forces of the Mamluks and other Arabian nations at the time, with the Mamluks being the largest and the most powerful of the bunch (had more land, had a larger army, and was quite stable).
Two years after the fall of the Abbasids, the Mongols tried to invade the Mamluk, but was met with great resistance to the point where the Mongolians were actually pushed out of land instead of vice versa. The Mamluks were fighters, and they faught hard. The Mamluk-Ilkhanid war lasted from 1260-1323, where the Il-Khanate gave up against the Mamluks and signed the Treaty of Aleppo.
The Treaty of Aleppo forced the Il-Khanate to convert to Islam, which would later cause the Il-Khanate to stop expansion as they imbrased the Islamic faith, and would lead to a period of peace. It would be that after that period of peace, in the later 14th century (so not long after peace was made), that the Il-Khanate would fall.
