I know I've made many retwist videos but I wanted to actually go through my process and how I retwist Dray's hair. There are many ways you can retwist locs but the palm rolling method is one of the easiest most common ways to do it!

I needed to learn how to retwist that same day and this saved him from just giving up on his loc journey and at the same time gave me the confidence to maintain BOTH of our locs! I am 4 months loc'd. I used alow vera gel with my last retwist too. My results came out good. I'll have to check out that Lily of hte Dessert brand next.

I did it myself first time it’s super easy just twist new growth and clip. Tip for last longing retwist leave clips in overnight

So I got the plant aloe Vera not the gel maybe I need to started getting the gel is that the same as the plant? Anyway I already wash my hair wetted it do I put the aloe Vera on while wet or wait for it till dry?
I recently started do my finances hair,as he's re growing it out. And it's s process and a half. It never looks a as good as yours do. But I try my best .you are amazing.

This is very helpful, I’ve been doing my sons hair for three months now. This hand technique is good I use a comb. My locs always seems puffy but it probably where I’m playing the pins.

This is so helpful. Any tips for dealing w different hair textures? My boyfriend has 2 textures. Some parts really kink and curl but the hair close to his neck is almost straight.
You can try to use a crochet/locking needle to instant lock the ones with looser texture.

How do you do for the shampoo after a retwist ? I use to wash my hair once a week because of sport. Is it possible to keep a retwist fine in that case ?

it will be difficult to avoid frizz and unraveling washing that often but you can try using a stocking cap to prevent them from unraveling fully

I’m a white girl with no idea how to care for dreads or very curly hair. My hair is very thick and wavy so I can’t even attempt this on my own hair to practice. My boyfriend can’t afford to get his dreads retwisted and so I decided to take matters into my own hands and start learning how to do this. I am motivated 😤 lol! I wish anyone else luck out there trying to learn to help out their family members, friends or significant others 🥰

Hey @deszren ! Im two weeks into my journey and i started with two strand twist. My hair is already superrrrrr frizzy and has loose strands. I just wanted to know if i should restart or if It’s okay that I’m experiencing so much frizz this early in the Journey?
Montranique Runnels frizz is a part of the locking process. So that’s a good thing
Kay is right! That is completely normal. Over time the hairs will combine with the loc and compact together! But the frizz is going to be there for a grip 😭

I am currently just chillin and letting my locs freely form and do their own think we the acception of seperating when I feel the need to, I just watched because I like retwist videos eventhough I have retwisted my locks before. My question is would you ever consider just going freeform?
This is a great question! Honestly idk. A lot of people have said I would look good with free form but I’m not sure 😭
@@DESZREN I think you'd look beautiful either way honestly. Just don't retwist but do a little seperation if you want for at least a month or two and see what happens lol. You'll never know unless you try it out right?
