I reserved a Bronco on day 1 when they opened and this dealer stole my reservation and purposefully mis-ordered the car so I would be forced to buy at retail for a $20k markup. They ordered a manual transmission (don't drive manual) car with zero options on my reservation and called me to say "the vehicle you ordered is here". I have been trying to get ahold of someone with Ford on Twitter, via Email, via Corporate Office, and they couldn't care less and won't even respond.
did you not get any printout or form with your build order? Both times I've ordered my dealer has emailed me a form and my exact build shows up on my Ford account.
I got a print out as well. Right after we ordered it. He hit “send” and then walked over to the printer. Sorry to hear your dealer screwed you. That’s sucks. Dealers are being so unethical with these. It’s sad.
1967, 1969, 1969, 1971, 1972 - years the first generation Broncos won Baja 1000. The idea for carbon fiber is outstanding for the fenders. Only issue with painted ones are the chips/scratches that can happen, so carbon would be much better. In fact, they can add a few carbon fiber updates to match on the dash, console, and doors if they want to go there (they did on the steering wheel and shifter!). IF FORD is wanting to be bold, why not make a Bronco Sport Raptor version or at least a Sasquatch version?
It may not be "perfect," but it's still HELLA AMAZING looking! Kudos to the design team. Well done. I'm looking forward to seeing one of these in person some day. We'll see. Great commentary, Jordan. The motor Ford should of used an American build version of the Australian Ford Barra strait 6. Cast a knew version made of aluminum closed deck or a graphite version. This will keep the torque and fuel economy if it is set up correctly and would build able to more power if desired
Still waiting on my 2021 Bronco! Yes they are building and delivering 2022 Broncos before 2021's are done. Don't see why they won't build the Raptors before other orders are filled!!

absolutely a fantastic job of fca & ford for both wrangler and bronco. only 2-things are sad that on bronco there is no diesel and power top option. and on wrangler there is no factory option for 37-inch tires on 392. other than that both cars are masterpieces.
Having a father who had a corporate career with both Mitsubishi Corp Japan, and Toyota, I TOTALLY understand why Ford did NOT use the engine from their top dog, the F-150 Raptor, in the Bronco Raptor.. That would be a terrible business choice. Didn't Ford say the fenders are modular on this as well??... I'm sure there is some aftermarket companies already molding carbon fiber fenders, as we speak lol.... I am a 4Runner TRD Off Road buyer, but Ford has my attention with this Bronco Raptor!... I drove a Badlands and felt it didn't articulate as much as I'd like.. It was amazing, but left my wanting a bit more... The KDSS in my 4Runner's current setup is better than that stability bar disconnect in the Badlands, in my opinion... However, a wider track on the Bronco Raptor will add just enough increased suspension travel, making it just what I need for dessert runner, maybe!
the reason they dont put a 5.0 v8 is because its built for jumping rock crawling at the same time its twin turbo and when you put in in baja mode the turbos keep spinning witch means when you hit the gas there is no lag but there is talk about a bronco raptor r witch might have a v8. but my uncal is geting one witch will be cool

@@zachj15 thanks, but I think options outweigh reservations. I saw on you tube where an individual ordered in December with no reservation and already has a build date. His was a 2dr Black Diamond with 2.3 engine and manual trans. No Sasquatch or towing pkg. My dealer told me to delete my towing pkg, which I did. Hopefully that will help.
The 3.0 is a better option than the 3.5. I think most 2nd gen 17-19 raptor owners may agree with me. The 3.0 for 1 is a powerhouse and with a tune can make the explorer st run near 12 seconds flat in the quarter (12.1-12.2). But the main thing that the 3.0 brings to the table is the lack of hydraulic cam phaser timing issues. My 2017 had the phaser issue. Got fixed after 7 weeks at the dealer but came back after 3000 miles….. I was hacked and bought a late 2019 model just for that reAson alone. So I praise Ford for dropping that engine in the Bronco Raptor. I called it over a year and a half ago. The 3.0 just made too much sense.

Nice job! The 3.0 Ecoboost engine is probably most common in the Explorer ST, King Ranch and Platinum trim packages. I got one of the emails from Ford asking if I was interested, being an order holder. The deadline to respond was Feb 3rd. Ford is supposed to send followup emails on Feb 11th.

If you havent seen the Fun Haver Bronco go check it out. Honestly Ford missed the mark on the fenders. Almost as if the plastic pieces were an after thought. The fenders off the Fun Haver are more Raptor-esk. I do like the upgraded suspension but I feel like the 3.0 is the same as the 2.7 just slightly more over bore or stroke.
Looks amazing, I know performance wise there wouldn't be any advantages for a two door but hopefully for people like me for esthetics sake they make a 2 door someday.

Unfortunately I don't think they are smart enough to put a real engine in it anytime soon just like offering one without the extremely overcomplicated goat mode crap. It needs 600hp+ V8 with a lever actuated transfer case and no proximity sensors to make noise while offroading..
Why the hell would I want a different underpowered engine with worthless all time 4wd? That's not even close to desirable. Give us a charged V8 with true manual transfer case and get rid of the shitty electronic modes.
I've never seen myself as a "Brand Loyal" guy, however my wife and I have exclusively owned Ford's for a good decade now. It's weird because it wasn't like we were only looking at Ford's every time we went shopping, it just worked out that way. Having said that, I think Ford dropped the ball a bit. This is what the Bronco should have been when they first came out. Having said all that.....I lied a bit, because it would take a lot to get me to give up my Ford Truck for any other brand. I haven't seen anything else to do so since being a teenager with a Toyota Takoma 4×4, very briefly, then I grew up.😄

I'm wondering what the color choices will be. Sounds like it will be very limited as that code orange is going to look way out of place with 80% of the colors on the current 2022 Broncos.
They nailed it all but the fenders. Looks cheap. I am sure an aftermarket company will make some that look much better. Never owned or will I ever own a ford but I think the Bronco is awesome and I also think the good ole Mustang is a fantastic looking car as well. To all The dealers charging over MSRP. Manufacturer's are about to make you pay the price for the snake oil sales tactics being used currently by so many dealers. so keep it up and see what happens. In Alabama getting a fair price on a new vehicle is all but impossible. I will never even try or waste my time again with a Bama Dealership. My last 4 vehicles I proudly bought out of state and will continue to do so on all future vehicle purchases. Georgia and Florida are the states that I recommend buying a car from if you live in the south. Autotrader is your friend. 600.00 bucks and most dealers will drive your new vehicle several states over to your front door. My 5th gen Ram was delivered from Florida. Saved over 5 thousands vs best price in Alabama.
Personally don’t care about v6 and ifs. But it will give 4runners a run for there money. Just glad they are causing Jeep to pull out all the tricks cough cough v8 wrangler. We can thank the bronco for this.
Ha good luck seeing one of these let alone own one (probably gonna be $100k or more). Not to mention the 150000 broncos sitting on lots for months and months waiting for that elusive chip. Maybe you can see a raptor if you drive by an assembly plant's vehicle lot among the hundreds of thousands of regular broncos and other vehicles waiting for chips. So yeah, good luck
It's only the Gen Z/Milennail children that don't get the fender flares. It's a homage to all the Broncos from the 60's and early 70's race trucks that in almost every example had flared wheel wells to accommodate the larger tires. See this is what happens when kids don't do their homework

Probably also 440. Given the chassis and airflow upgrades, it should make much more than the 400 in the Explorer.

Bronco raptor should have gotten a procharged 3.7l cyclone alltime 4wd. Wouldn't have to worry about cheap jeep 392

I guarantee that it will be much more than 400/415. Given the increases of the F-150 Raptor, it should be around 440/430 or 450/425.

Painted Fender Flares...... spoken like a person who has never gotten their vehicle dirty.
The plant these are built can’t accommodate the raptor renders in the paint booth and that’s why they are not offered in body color YET.
Personally don’t care about v6 and ifs. But it will give 4runners a run for there money. Just glad they are causing Jeep to pull out all the tricks cough cough v8 wrangler. We can thank the bronco for this.

Ha good luck seeing one of these let alone own one (probably gonna be $100k or more). Not to mention the 150000 broncos sitting on lots for months and months waiting for that elusive chip. Maybe you can see a raptor if you drive by an assembly plant's vehicle lot among the hundreds of thousands of regular broncos and other vehicles waiting for chips. So yeah, good luck

It's only the Gen Z/Milennail children that don't get the fender flares. It's a homage to all the Broncos from the 60's and early 70's race trucks that in almost every example had flared wheel wells to accommodate the larger tires. See this is what happens when kids don't do their homework
