Otherwise you've still got the much cheaper 4XE to think about as well, or just a Rubicon with a V6. The engine is worth the extra money, why do you think people pay 10K plus for diesels in the new HD trucks? I love how many raptor specific details there are. Meanwhile, FCA threw a 392 V8 in the wrangler and called it a day.
That's what they do with everything.
@@burgerbandit3646 because that’s what people want!
And I would still rather have the 392
@@JohnDoe-nz6bk I like V8's but not nearly enough to pay $75k for that cheap of a vehicle to sound better. It's just outclassed in practically every single category.
@@burgerbandit3646 jeep is not outclassed by any means. If that were true, they wouldn’t continue to have record sales.
Can I trade the cute easter eggs, the infotainment system, and the body stickers............FOR A V8!!!
Welp, that’s the nicest color / decal package I’ve seen on a new Bronco Raptor!
I would actually purchase the graphics option for this truck. It looks great!
Doug's Wife: Honey, how do I look?
Doug: styling is good but not too impressive and it gets a 6 out of 10.
Practicality and weekend score 9.
Unbelievable if Ford doesn't include a LED screen rear view mirror to eliminate the view blockage issue. Such a simple fix
@@conor7154 Rear spare tire mount is my guess
What’s wrong with the back up camera?
@@ReDEclipsE28 nothings wrong with that, but with the led screen mirror you have a constant unobstructed view of what’s behind you without having to put the car in reverse or mess with the video screen.
@@Johnny-xj5qu have you driven with one of those or used them long term? You don't understand how you expect to look in the mirror and adjust your head position or angle to see more - with a screen you get one static view and that's is. The rear view camera is fantastic on the Bronco and removing the 3rd brake light and going to an internal wheel light will help greatly.
@@D3thM3tal It’s not even a brake light. The light is just the marker light. Doug left out that vehicles over 80 inches wide need marker lights but do not need a 3rd brake light. So you could probably easily mount a set of the marker lights to the back glass of the removable top and then have a set on the roll bar for when you remove the top.
In a recent video titled "2022 Ford Bronco Raptor, 1st. look off-roading in Johnson Valley, CA." shows the 12" full-screen display with two tire markers on the screen. I assume that there is a mode that activates that feature. I noticed that it was not talked about in this video but well worth mentioning.
Throttle House did some pretty solid off-roading in their video, and from a very relatable novice point of view 👍🏼
First thing I saw, angle of approach is gigantic! The second thing I saw, I think departure is the same!
Doug is the kind of guy who instead of singing in the shower, imitates car sounds
The reason the exhaust is tucked up and hidden is for rock crawling purposes so you do not crush them from rocks.
No shit, Sherlock. Doug knows this too but wants people like you to comment🧐 more comments = better for Doug. Are you new to the channel?
@@pinut187 in the video he said he wished they the exhaust system more cosmetic and didn’t understand why they simply had the exhaust cut off high up which led to my explanation. And just because Doug owns a couple defenders and a gwagon doesn’t mean he knows everything about off-roading especially rock crawling as he has never done extreme rock crawling with his vehicles understandably so
The exhaust notes were identical lol
Doug, I watch your videos religiously but your pacing has become hard to appreciate, I'd be so excited to review all these cars too but it seems like you talk faster and faster in each video! :( I want to savor your review!
Doug is the only person I've ever seen sweat so specifically from the biceps.
Hahahaha
I think that comes from his armpit
From wiping his face.
I love Broncos ❤ Happy Ford is continuing it!
After 3 years of ownership and the standard 36k miles, both this and the 392 Jeep will hold their value better than most import cars at the same price point
that was the strongest "this" intro I've seen in a while. well done
Broooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!! I need this to drive from my apartment to the gym!!!!!!!
Oh I forgot to mention, I’ll NEVER take it off-road since that will make it all dirty and junk. I’m just a regular douche who buys stuff like this because my dick is small.
Only a matter of time before Jeep does a TRX HellCat powered version of the Wrangler.
And, presumably, before Ford does a GT500 V8-powered version of this!
I’m surprised they haven’t done it already considering they’ve been milking that motor for years

Amazing , been waiting for this review
The law about vehicle lights in the USA is so backwards. In almost every country, orange lights on the outside of a car means turn signals, so do the lights placed in the mirrors. Also, in the USA, rear blinkers can be red. That bugs me to no end.
It's not nearly as difficult as you make it sound. You seriously have trouble telling brakes from turn signals while driving? Or just overthink it?
@2 Corinthians 4:7-11 Yes, I kinda understand the "simpler" design on very old cars, where you would have less bulbs to worry about. But on modern cars with light clusters that always have space for more bulbs, it just doesn't make sense.
This is a dope ride! Btw Doug, I love your energy and have been watching your content since your BMW Z1 REVIEW! I've learned a s*** ton from you! Thank you sir and keep them coming!

Another stellar doug review. Thank you for taking the time to put these together. The hard work will pay off.
Today I noticed a Bronco Badlands for sale in my country, the Netherlands. Price for the Badlands ... €174.950 (around $200k). That hurts!
Ford has been going all-out lately.
fr
All-out with recalls too, lately.
I actually like the look of the standard Bronco with Sasquatch pkg.. Also the width actually limits it on certain trains.
Nailed it. I was going to get a Braptor. Was first on list at my dealer. But after off-roading my Bsdlands SAS many times. I can’t justify how wide the Raptor is. Many trails we do, my Badlands barely fits. Being wider would be a huge problem.
You’re correct. Mini/mid size trucks have taken over the trails long with the side by side so brush has grown in making them narrower.
Don't forget guys, the Raptor name is *BAJA* related. The Bronco Raptor is more suited to Baja type offroading while still being a somewhat reasonable trail runner. Hence why it's so wide.
The auxiliary switches are one of the coolest features from an OEM in a long time!
Ford has had this since like 2004 at least😂
QUIRKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ram, Ford, and GM have had those for a very long time in their trucks.
Nothing new, but yes, they are cool.
Glad I got the 392
This looks sick, wish it was released in Australia
Doug if you go into the crawl modes you can choose different camera angles!
Doug, what is the most sweatiest car you've ever done a vehicle review in? I can't imagine how sweaty it must get while filming, especially during the super humid days. Your t-shirt sleeves tell us the story of dedication, passion and the sacrifices you make for us making every video!
Imagine the replacement tire cost. But I don’t care, I love this buggy.
$460-500 PER WHEEL 😬
$2k for a full replacement 🤯

If you're spending $75,000 on an off roader, you expect these kinds of things. Hell, when I bought my 2008 JK, I expected it. Lol.
If people are gonna get excited about cars getting _valuable_ then people would definitely buy $2000 worth of tires
@@toddtravis2596 JK... you just kidding, right? 🤷♂️😆
This thing looks so bad ass, I love it!
Made a reservation to go test one of these after watching this video. Hopefully this time next week, I'll be out doing a test drive and cutting a check.,
Ford should put a screen on the inside of the tailgate that fills in the spot blocked by the tire and the brake light.
That'd probably cost way too much for what it's worth.
If they were to release a solution I think they’d offer a backup camera toggle for the center screen or offer a digital rear view mirror. The second one is unlikely but I wouldn’t put it past Chrysler to consider. They already have digital rearviews and idk about ford
If nothing else, there needs to be a camera shot in the center RVM.
Most people will only use it to go grocery shopping and then spend 20 hours a week washing it, even though it's already clean 😂
Lol exactly what I would do.
@@onthemoverealestatephotogr9655 Sad.
Well you can’t blame them when it costs 70+k. Why would you risk damaging it
@@timschultes6467 Maybe don't buy an expensive off-road tailored vehicle if you're scared of damaging it and don't even plan on using it for its intended purpose.
@@Teddingtin I’m just saying if they were cheaper more people would probably be a little more daring. Who has a hundred grand to just buy another one

When he said 70k I laughed out loud. The base model is still 30k above msrp. And as long as people keep paying it they’ll keep charging it.

**Allow us to introduce ourselves**
This is good, they nailed it with this raptor . we need this in Africa😂
Big rubber, 90hp and a graphics package for closer to $90K? I don't think so Tim. At least that extra width makes it less likely to rollover like the Bronco II.
I would love to buy one, just can’t accept/afford the $41K mark up here in Las Vegas. 😢
THIS Ford bronco will be out of reach in ten years!
Look at Doug working hard and sweating to provide great content lol but seriously this thing is a beast! Sure looks fun to drive. Love how wide that stance is.
Honestly the 392 Wrangler would be my pick, mainly because it's just got more stuff you can do with it. The V8 is just icing on the cake. Nevermind the Bronco is super rare (especially this one) to just find in the dealership, and the infamous Bronco markups. The Jeep is super expensive as well, just not that expensive.
392 actually has a higher base MSRP. Think again
@@02hreblue30 While that is true, the 392 also has more support in general being a Wrangler. Literally the most aftermarket parts you could think of, and it is also smaller so it can get into more places. The one thing it's missing is a stick shift option.
Otherwise you've still got the much cheaper 4XE to think about as well, or just a Rubicon with a V6. The engine is worth the extra money, why do you think people pay 10K plus for diesels in the new HD trucks?
Edit: I'm pretty sure my jab at the price there at the end was pointed at dealership markups which is a problem for both just even more so for the Bronco.
The ground clearance is really something 👏
Ford will be recalling all its engines on all Broncos.
The engine bay looks like a mechanic’s nightmare 😳
I’m sure once you learn it, it’s not so bad. Just a lot of vacuum hoses
