At its very core the song is about unmitigated passion towards a figure, whether that is a higher
power, celebrity, or political figurehead. The narrative of the lyrics are sung by a person who is in
absolute certainty that they are doing/acting in the best interest for themselves, and in favour of the figure they are appeasing. Ultimately, we want the listener to really think about why they follow this person to letter even sometimes to a fault.

I haven’t been this engaged with a band like Crooked Royals, since Slipknot released their their self titled album back in 99.
