Lethal Performance 2018 Mustang GT runs 11.68 with just a tune!

- We recently made some test runs at Palm Beach International Raceway to get some baseline numbers in our 2018 Mustang GT.
The only modifications to the car are a Lund Racing tune, E85 in the tank and we ran on 19' Mickey Thompson drag radials. For added protection (and because Jared broke our halfshafts the last run out) we added a set of Driveshaft Shop axles, a DSS carbon fiber driveshaft and a BMR driveshaft safety loop.
The car was very consistent (11.68, 11.70, 11.71...) and ran great, even when hot-lapping. We were impressed.

Just the tune means just the tune and nothing else IMO

What did you run with nothing done at all? I’ve only made to passes I went 12.1 on a 1.9 60 foot but now I have done stuff to it just haven’t got to run it

A tune...... and tires that hook. Not bad at all.
Tune ,e 85, axles ,driveshaft,how is it stock with just a tune?.I m running my buddy s 19 Gt premium 10 speed auto that i sold him next weekend with really just a tune and nothing else on the stock 20 inch ford rims and stock 4 season good year tires and i ll go faster than 11.68@119 mph. Watch for it Race red with white stripes.Napierville dragway in Montreal.I ll post the video as soon as i run it.

I am impressed with the car, I guess that I would expect more since my 15 picked up 3 tenths and and 4mph with just a 93 tune. I just thought the E85 would really shine with the 12.0 compression and direct injection.
It does really shine most people drop 3-4 tenths minimum sometimes more but the car will trap several mph higher showing its significantly more powerful
People are gaining 40+ whp from just the e85 tune alone.
Is ur car on Drive always on drag mode when lund tunes it ?
5.0_2018 Lund Racing says that the tuning they have will put the car into drag mode even if it’s on the normal drive mode. When I went 9.36 I did however put our car into drag mode which ended up being our best pass.

sexgen been 11.4 tune only on a 20 inch DR. Positive DA. I personally went 11.6 with no tuning (its on my channel). Drag pack and cai. in my sexgen. I guess all these times lately are exciting for the mustang crowd. old news for the bowtie crowd. congrats

@@tylerreed3178 they could have made the 5.4 make power na...hell it made 385 back in 2000 (closer to 425 they made 385 to the tires) if it had 12:1 compression and the other tricks this coyote has the 5.4 could have made 500 na no problem. It is impressive dont get me wrong but it wasnt long sgo 12:1 was considered a race engine. That has alot to do with it making power na it still very impressive. The 08 gt500 had low compression and logs for headers like a truck and a real restrictive air intake box among other things. They can get to around 600 whp with simple bolt ons on 93 pump. Were comparing apples to oranges here. Just because one is blown one is na doesnt tell the story. The 5.0 has like more than 3 more whole numbers on its compression ratio that is alot of compression advantage plus it has dual injection and better flowing heads among other things...then the 10r80 is a 50-75 whp type advantage right from the jump.

stangmode ran an 11.7 on no tune, 11.3 after tune ... this is not very impressive
Tyler Parker To be honest Stangmode is racing in that mineshaft north eastern dense air at one of the fastest 1/4 mile tracks in the country, Atco. Those conditions and that track alone gives any car a huge advantage over other cars racing in different conditions.

Tyler Parker What was the DA? If we really want to get technical about this what are the exact comparable conditions. We'll only know that if both parties produce this information for us to give us an accurate representation of why the times are different. I just know that many record times are set at ATCO. I believe the times set here by Lethal are more in line with realistic times you'll see across the country with these minimal mods.

The shifts sound no different at all, I thought the shifts would be more crisp and if that’s all you get with a tune and E85.... well, I’ll just wait for something better!!!
Scott Sigmon 36rwhp, half a second and 3mph improvement in the 1/4. Not sure what more you expect but that’s very impressive for an NA car with an e85 tune only.
Drag Radials do not come stock as far as I know, missleading video title.
Stock refers to internals, obviously.

Different tracks, different conditions all play into ET's. The same car at a track with a much lower DA can run .40 of a second quicker all day long. If you don't believe that to be true I cordially invite you to come race in the swamp with us and see for yourself.

just look at the mod list here keep in mind the gt PP weighs 3900lbs with out a driver no ported manifold bullshit or nothing just simple bolt ons minimal weight reduction and stock intake mani imagine once people start porting the manifolds on these cars or go with a ported SCJ set up
Yawn.... I Don't buy it.... Every time a new car comes out the tuners and manufacturers somehow get these outrageously fast times. Then you see them at the track in real life with real every day owners and they're running .5 - 1.0+ slower. Guys that frequent the track know what I'm talking about.
cb3002233 there in your comment you said why people don’t run the times you see on these videos. It’s because people don’t spend the time to run time after time and dial in how to launch the car and how much tire pressure to run wether or not to brake boost or just idle mash it to flash the converter. Just my two cents. 🤷♂️
Out of all these "people in real life" you see at the track, maybe 75% don't fully know what they're doing. And I think that's being generous. I know because I frequent THIS track that's shown in the video.
Check out my videos. I've wrung some competitive times out of my car for the mods I have. When I competed in events at that track against other cars like mine, (the Mustang Challenge), people with the exact same mods had ET's that were all over the place......including folks I'd see there on an almost weekly basis

These times are 100% legit. I’m the driver and have minimal experience. This is the 3rd time at the track with the car with less than 10 passes on it. I’ve seen others go closer to the 11.30’s with the same setup but that was up North in much cooler weather and better track condition. If I can drive this car to an 11.68 with just an e85 tune and drag radials than anyone can run the same or better.

Just a tune hu?? I see drag radials, E85, upgraded axels, possibly drive shaft, and suspension work in the description. So a "stock" mustang will snap an axle...that's not something to brag about. I would take a 15-17 Mt82 any day of the week over an 18 10R80.
Upgraded axels has nothing to do with anything power or the timeslip its simply to keep them from breaking. You only have to have a tune in order to run e85 in this car so it is "just a tune" it has drag radials and thats just to make it hook optimal because if they dont run drag radials and it runs higher in the 11s you got even more naysayers like you saying oh they run 11 stock oh this sucks not impressed blah blah fucking blah stop hating and give props

The new Mustang 5.0 307 has more HP than the 460 that Ford is saying it has , that dual fuel injection is something else when tune, some say it's better than the voodoo 5.2 .

Mark Tiny and be absolutly no differant than any s550's in previous years? The point of the 10 speed is to make 460hp and 420tq rocket down the 1/4 mile infront of Hellcats. If you were a real Ford guy, you would appretiates this marvel. Btw, I drive a whippled 08 GT/CS, 505whp, stock engine, 94,000 miles, 5 speed manual with an exedy mach 500.... The 2018 A10 is a marvel of engineering and steps up the mustangs game big time

Educate yourself first, I remember when Germans where all hype about dual clutch transmission , people where saying that's the future and American Transmissions can't compete with us but look now, m5 went back to automatic transmission with torque converter .
