Genius! Travelling next month and am making these (and the curved packing cubes) after trying a made up pattern of my own. I think they will turn out great!! ❤ thanks!!
Allie, I enjoyed watching your clear instructions and techniques. I love packing cubes and think they would make great gift ideas. I’m going to subscribe because I can’t wait to see what you make next.
Hi! Maybe by the back zipper panel? You can cut a strip of fabric, maybe 4" wide by the lenght of the zipper panel + 2", fold it 4 times. Sticht one end of the handle betweek the zipper (white zipper) and the zipper panel, and the other side of the handle on the other side of the zipper and zipper panel. I think that might work. Hopefully! Let me know. 😊
These are amazing!! I just got a Juki TL2000 and I think this might be the perfect 1st project to use on it. Just want to double check that the binding isn’t double fold, correct? Thanks!!
Hi Congratulations on your Juki TL2000!! You're are going to love it!!! 🙌🏼🙌🏼❤️ Yes, that's correct, no need to double fold the binding because I'm using ripstop fabric :)
Boa tarde! Fantástico, lindo e prático. Gostaria de saber se as medidas são em polegadas ou inches, pois aqui no Brasil usamos as medidas em centímetros. Desde já lhe agradeço.
Not a dumb question at all! I have a ruler I purchased from SewSweetness that has different size curves, but you can use a bottle cap or even a small plate. The curve is about 1.5" so you can mark that distance from each side of the pointy end and then draw a semi-circle that way :) Hope that helps!
@@Wendy10910 yes if you have a 1.5" diameter circle, place it on the corner you want to round off, draw the curved line from your circle and cut. No need to measure because when you align the circle on top of the fabric, it'll give you the measurement you need.
I haven't tried it using cotton, but one reason I haven't done it, is because I really want my packing cubes to be waterproof. But that's just personal preference.
I downnloded the excel sheet for measurements but it does not appear to have correct cut lengths for zippers. Am i missing something? I was expecting a bit more info for the money. All you really incleded was a calculation of the perimeter of the pouch, but have not included the radius of the corners. I hope you enjoy the coffee i bought you.
Hi, I have a tutorial showing how to use the formula. This formula is best for a regular packing cube, not a compression packing cube. However, for the compression packing cube just add 4" to the length. The zipper length calculation is in the formula as well. The radius is 1.5", and that is in this video as well. ua-cam.com/video/YCjIfm9LTic/v-deo.html I really hope that helps you.
You turned something I couldn't quite wrap my head around into a crystal clear process. Thank you!
Thank you so much for this feedback :) I'm so glad I was able to help! :)
Very helpful! Thank you for the 2 videos. This is exactly the tutorial I need.
❤️❤️😊😊 Thanks I'm happy to help!

Glad you like it!😀
Thank you for this video! Compression packing cubes are not sold in my country, so I'll definitelly make mine now!
I'm so happy I could help! :)
Thanks for the great video. Does anyone have a hack for a grab handle? Would it go on the zipper gusset? Thanks.

Hola, gracias! :) Las medidas las tengo en polegadas (inches), lamentablemente no las tengo en centimetros.
Are there measurements for a larger one?.
I've had quite a few requests for the larger size packing cube. I'm working on those measurements and we'll be sharing them soon.
This may be a dumb question, but... how did you round the corners? Thanks!!

Can you give length of clothes and zip you taken for
Hi, I added all the measurements to the description of this video. Thank you so much for asking and letting me know I missed that information.
Has anyone tried the compression cubes using cotton? Was it sturdy enough to compress?
I haven't tried it using cotton, but one reason I haven't done it, is because I really want my packing cubes to be waterproof. But that's just personal preference.
