The dead are the enemies for such a high cost of ammo and maybe the adeptus administorum for such logistics, and the wounded are from firing so much

Damn...so through that tactic of moving guardsmen, this implies that they are making vast underground tunnel networks, really fun fluffy thing to imagine, mechanised walls, deployable cover, extensive focus on survivability at the cost of expenses.

Imagine the honours an officer of the imperium would receive for 0 deaths in an entire campaign... swiftly followed by the shock at the amount of bunkers on the planet, the metric tonne of tanks used and probably a swift relief of command as a result.

Might as well use them on another planet cause they sure are battle hardend as fuck or you could use them to mine the planets resources.

@@mangosteak Yes and No, not all guardsman regiment do that, only some, even the Death korps of Krieg actually use real trench warfare tactics, they use their mens lives to good use even though it cost them heavy casualties, they never wasted their men's live, most guardsman regiment use tactics and strategy to outsmart the enemy and reduce losses

I find it funny how among all the horrors and legendary heroes in WH40k, the most endearing are still the humble imperial guard. Just regular soldiers, who are often much, much better at their job than even the ultrasmurfs.
Thats quite literally the imperial guards origin story. One dude, after defending the imperial Palace from the forces of horus, ran into the throne room, saw horus about to strike down the emperor who was doing absolutely nothing because he was so shocked that some of his sons didn't like him, and decided that it was a good idea to shout at this chaos empowered primarch, calling him a little bitch and challenging him to a duel, without any fear for his own life. And that was what caused big E to stand up and utterly obliterate horus, and declare that the sola auxiliaria were no more, to be replaced with the imperial guard, an actual fully fledged piece of the imperiums military.

Funnily enough, if you're playing the Aeldari, a deathless run is a canonically accurate strategy.

The only campaign, where the guardsmen died from tedium and boredom. Great, job, I didn't think one could go bast these turrets in the second Guard mission, without dying.
I think what most new players get wrong is they play Guardsmen as if they're playing Tau, marching a bunch of squishy ranged units and hope they kill everything before being in melee-range.

IF you do deathless dark crusade, i recommend either the necrons (because they're fucking OP) and the TAU, that can cheese the new stealth mechanics ridiculously well

Great video my guy, i really liked the stategy you used in keep your enemies closer. For potential Dark Crusade and Soulstorm videos, I'd recommend playing as the two new factions added to each of the games. Because we've already seen your experince with the existing factions, also playing as two races will allow us to view ALL the stronghold missions, (as you can't do the stronghold mission for the faction you're playing as).
I sense many baneblade jokes in this vid. I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess that there's at least 1 before I start watching

Hey my dude, this might sound odd but is there any chance I can get a look at one or a couple of the save files from this please? Specifically the final Ork mission. I think you managed to do something which I've been trying (but failing) to replicate. It might be helpful for the speedruns of the DoW games in general but has some specific use in the WA run.

I love the commitment to deathless. I think most other people wouldn't consider ork buildings as deaths.
It's incredibly funny how easy mission four as the guard becomes once you get the land raider past the first gate. After that you've got a ton of allied guard to hold back the chaos and Orks and it's not being constantly fucked by the other factions so it can basically just roll forward to the end point.
3:21 The fastest build rate in the game is 2 workers maximum on a structure, stat wise, specifically 2 chaos workers are the fastest builders in the entire game because their ability increases build and heal rate by 50% I think it was, while constantly draining their HP. Mechanicus workers otherwise are the 2nd best in the whole game because they basically are half as good as a chaos worker using his ability without the HP loss. Only reason why they are not number 1 is because they are not as expendable with their requisition cost or numerous as chaos workers. Mind you the imperial Guard is basically 1 of the easiest and strongest factions in the whole game.

I'll need to find a way to balance the campaigns out, I'm admittedly completely unfamiliar with DoW 2's campaign and I have no clue how I would even attempt Soulstorm, but I'm open for thoughts
@Davey Gunface DoW 2 has a major plot point regarding corruption in Chaos Rising, and the canon option is revealed on Retribution. Other than that, play orcs as canon victor in Soulstorm.
Ah yeah, I remember reading up that Orks were the winner in Soulstorm, I think it was when I watched a video on Dawn of War 3.
Do you happen to know what would be an equivalent for Dark Crusade, or if there even is one? IIRC that's another one that you can select multiple factions in, yeah?
If that's the case I'd probably do the new race additions and the canon winners for both.

Technically you lost the challenge because on "Order, Hold The Line!", the orks kill guards in the trench with the Traks.
The rules specifically state that cutscenes don't count. That also doesn't really matter because with the power of the "escape" button I don't see that shit and it doesn't happen. Technicalities work both ways.

That mission is just really obnoxious with the start, one of many triggers that just didn’t work over time and makes the game really weird to play through
