CreekCrawler Congratulations, guys you all rocked it! At the beginning Creekcrawler looked like a, little old granny in a black dress and black pantyhose going up the river on the kayak lol. Awesome video and fishing, God Bless you both, (Glen). WV.
That spot in Tahlequa is awesome, you lucked out John in the summer I wouldn’t be anywhere near that section. I grew up on the upper section of the Illinois just across the Arkansas border. The big smallies are up in that area and is way less fished. Good video bud!
I’ve never fished higher than chewey bridge. Not enough access points and too far a float from carnes ford to chewey… where’s the best spots? I love fishing the Illinois
That's awesome you and Brian finally hooked up. I was hoping it would happen. I live in S.E. Ohio on the Muskingum River and have fished many of the places Brian has but with far less results but always fun. I sub to both of your channels for a couple years now and you 2 are the only "Creek Freaks" i sub to. I watch others but the content isnt the same. I always look forward to the next videos. John, that was absolutely an awesome slow-mo release shot. A big congrats to Brian on his new p.b. at 20.5. What a tank! Thanks so much for what you both do. May God continue to bless you both, Mountain Dew and hellgrammites. LETS GO!!!!
great video and great fishing!! look like you guys had fun fishing!! have a good day and week. stay safe and god bless. you are one of my favorite channels to watch!! I will check out the creek crawler..
@@thecreekcrawler anytime man!!! I'm a small UA-cam guy with about 10,500 subscribers so I'm always excited to watch other UA-cam channels!!! I've fished with Jon about 4 or 5 times over the past few years!!! That was before I started my UA-cam channel!!! Take care!!
Glad you guys got to fish together and maybe add future trips on the creek tour. Its great seeing both of you grow as anglers and UA-camrs. Some really nice smallies towards the end there. Congrats to both of you on qualifying and fishing the championship. I bet this was as much fun and a PB for the Crawler. Rock on boys and blessings
It was awesome watching you guys finally fish one of my favorite places! I'll be heading up there in a couple of weeks hopefully we will do just as well. Y'all caught some nice ones for sure.
@thecreekcrawler I've been telling John about it for a couple of years. Was good to see you guys finally fish it. There is another creek up there that has excellent wade fishing. Might not catch that size of smallies but you can catch 30 to 40 in a few hours. Any time you want to hang out and fish up there, just hollar.
NO WAY MAN! You were in my town & I didn’t even know! Next time you’re back this way, I’d love to show you my favorite spots on the Illinois. That stretch you did is one of my favorites when I’ve only got a couple hours to fish. That fast current where the power lines run usually hold a good-sized smallie. I’m so glad you had a good time on the Illinois! God bless!
Next time your in the area you should try and float the section after the Nohead hollow public access area. We were getting bit everywhere there was a combination of cover, current (but not too fast), and deeper water.
Does anyone know the type of bird making the sound @5:22 - @5:40? I live in OKC and have one that makes that sound around my back yard but it's so hard to figure out where it's coming from to see it and start looking at pictures.
I love your videos man, just curious do you or anyone here in the comments do creek fishing around Elizabethtown, KY? If so where? I dont have a boat and am always struggling to find places to fish from the bank or to wade near me.
Which part of the river is this? I fish the Illinois several times a year but it’s hard by yourself to actually “float”.. but none of this looks familiar.. and I’ve never caught anything this big. Several 10+ hour days , 12 mile floats..
There’s also what is called a neosho bass.. looks like a smallmouth but it’s been determined to be genetically different as its own species. They do not get very big. 12-14 inches
The Creek Crawler from my great state of Ohio. Two of my favorite channels to watch, and now we get this. Awesome!
Same here. 2 of my favorite UA-camrs!
I met creek crawler last summer at one of our rivers !
@@jeffjones7130 that is neat!!
I've never heard of him before but will definitely give him a go and prob sub.

Yes I have watched the creek crawler for around 2 years and John around 4 years
Appreciate it man!
@@thecreekcrawlerHey man, just curious what river are you guys at? I live in Oklahoma and didn’t know we had rivers so clear.
Quality smallies. Is great video.
What a great day on the river for you two. I can’t wait for future collabs with you guys!!
Good to see Bryan with you good old ohio boy and he caught him a pig! Good video John.
That fish made my trip!! You see John pull a tank out from under my nose 😂
His PB is only 2 inches better than yours Mike. And he had to go out of state!😊
That would be nice to catch a fish lille that Steve
I been waiting for this collab!!! And it didn’t disappoint!!! Way to find the BIGS in the river!!!!
He's a great smallie fisherman.
Great catches as always keep up the great work & GOD bless!
John, now you have to come to the buckeye state and do some fishing with the creek crawler!!
Great video. So glad you 2 finally got together.
You two guys made my evening with your videos posting the same day. I watched Creek Crawler's first though. Most excellent!
Next time your in the area you should try and float the section after the Nohead hollow public access area. We were getting bit everywhere there was a combination of cover, current (but not too fast), and deeper water.
2 of my favorite fishing guys!
Come to KY and let’s chase smallies already!!!!
I just want to let you know, that you got me hype to get back to fishing. THANK YOU.
Brian I am in southwest Ohio.. right by the great Miami River. I hope to see you out sometime!
Looks like a great day of fishing with some nice smallies!
Awesome fishing. Nice to see Creek Crawler.
Just caught one that same size on Pumpback. 4.02 That was a nice fish for a creek. Good job!
Been wanting to get on some smallies on our local rivers, but rain has been an issue lately .
Yeah spring time flooding always makes a mess and usually lasts a while
good stuff

BEAUTIFUL river bud. Obviously great fishing as usual..
Great video beautiful place wish out fishing
You should add some balsa wood square bills to the river box.
Where did y’all put in at?
Fantastic Video
Nice day . Please let us know where this is . We live in Tulsa. And kayak fish .
I love your videos man, just curious do you or anyone here in the comments do creek fishing around Elizabethtown, KY? If so where? I dont have a boat and am always struggling to find places to fish from the bank or to wade near me.
You’re in a great area. So many rivers and creeks
That's my kind of river good video
Amazing how fast fish accelerate when released.
Loved the video, quick question. Which drive do you like best on your kayaks, prop or fins?
i have only used props and it works good for me
Biggins!
yes sir
i drove right past your area wishing i had time to stop
Where in Oklahoma is this river
Fun times love that
It’s a skip jack
5.5...my P.B. SMALLIE. BEING AS IM 70.....I DOUBT I'LL EVER BREAK IT!!
Nice smallmouth 👍
I've heard there are pirates on that river in the summertime.
John, you have to throw some jerk baits! Smallies love them this time of year.
some good footballs in this one
What editing software do you use for your videos
filmora wondershare
Not me fwd to see the big smallies 😂
Which part of the river is this? I fish the Illinois several times a year but it’s hard by yourself to actually “float”.. but none of this looks familiar.. and I’ve never caught anything this big. Several 10+ hour days , 12 mile floats..
right above Tenkiller lake
you end up all over the place; how far do you wander?
As far as I can get
I Love both of these guys lets go in Jesus name sincerely "The Dayton Metro Smallmouth Slayer"🙏🙌🗣🕊🔥🦅🐟.
I've said before on here that when it comes to smallies, if you're not fishing current...you ain't fishing
There’s also what is called a neosho bass.. looks like a smallmouth but it’s been determined to be genetically different as its own species. They do not get very big. 12-14 inches
We need to kno setups🗣️🗣️
FEET SCENT fish attractant attracts minnows, Ya'll saw it here first
I’m going to start selling that in jars haha
Hey Man, you mind telling me what river that is? I live in Oklahoma so I’m curious
illinois
@@CreekFishingAdventures who really!?! That river is normally PACKED. Great video
@@CreekFishingAdventures where did you put in? I’m amazed there wasn’t 4000 ppl lol
There’s really no one on the river this time of year. I just went a couple weeks ago and saw 2 people in a 22 mile float. Put in at No Head Hollow.
Putting a 9 incher on the measuring board is like using your blinker leaving your driveway. Don't know if you meant that to be funny but it was.
I was just curious
Minnow in your shoe is good luck
Leggings under your bball shorts? Wtf!
This is the way 😎
whatever works
I love how you guys adapt and overcame gunny…to bad it was at the end of the run. But that’s what you get when fishing with a Buckeye…GO BOILERS!
