Again Giles you come through with a great video on how to control the club in the swing. Your explanations and teachings have helped me so much during this off-season. I wish i coukd twll you i dropped strokes off my score but i am in the middle of a cold winter season so for now going to keep practicing hitting into my net and try to get better until spring. I look forward to Saturday and Thursday for your videos. Keep up the great work and Thank you!!✌️
I'm not great at shaping the ball. Something I'll have to work on. How to set the wrists in the take was a gold moment for me in one of your videos a while ago.
Thank you, thank you, thank you! You have blessed me using a stronger grip as I have very little flex in my lead wrist. How strong is strong? The whole number of knuckles has never made sense for me. I like to think of clock face: should my lead thumb be at the 2:00 o'clock position?
Question for you Giles, which grip should I use if I'm limited in extension in my right wrist but my left (lead) wrist has good movement both ways? Your tips are fantastic, very usefuel, and easy to understand and practice. Thanks for what you do.
@@Gilesgillgolf Thanks! And so with the hands working against each other, you mean strong grip with left (lead) hand and weak with right correct? Meaning both hand start with more knuckles showing than normal. Or do you mean strong grip both hands and during the take back you work your hands against each other? Or both? Thanks again for the tips
Giles, I hit the ball very high with irons and especially with driver. I bounce back and forth with a roll release and more of a body release looking for more consistency. I really thought i was mostly impacting open or closed ( I struggle hitting left) but this reminds me I may also be adding loft. Should I be trying to release the club out to the right or is it more a product of getting my lead hip back.. Only partly on topic I know but I feel like my release needs to change based on how well or poor I get that hip back
Hi everyone, this is by far the most important skill in golf. How good are you at it?
Being a new golfer, manipulating at impact is impossible to execute and hard to comprehend at the moment! Hopefully it will come soon!
@@lpeabodyit’s a skill to be chipped away at

@@Gilesgillgolfthanks I'm getting better each day! Your tips have been very helpful!
@@chengwon amazing! Glad I could help
The ‘manipulating’ and trajectory control is very interesting. Hope you do more videos about that subject.
I do have more planned yes
I was just thinking about this in my own swing thanks for clear explanation
No problem! Glad I could help

Learn to set the wrists correctly and you’ll be well on your way to great clubface control

Again depends on your wrist flexibility, ball flight you’re seeing and the height of your shots

I would go with a stronger grip as your right wrist won’t want to load as much

What does the ball do curvature wise? Path won’t play a big role in height…
Dynamic loft should be your focus
My miss is a hook with longer clubs and more of a push to a hook with shorter clubs.@@Gilesgillgolf
Great video as ever. Please get a ball tracker though 😂
I don’t know how to do them so if you know then tell me. I edit all my videos myself so I’m learning
Great drill for the different wrist conditions. I’m predicting you’re going to blow up in 2024
Fingers crossed it happens
How would u fade?
Path left and hold the face off
