Just picked up my third gen and I’m loving you’re videos. I love how much you’ve done to your truck while still maintaining a relatively OEM look. Keep it up!
I just left the Toyota dealer yesterday and now waiting for my Tacoma Off road. Your videos have been very helpful in my decision to pick one up! Thank yoU!
Just got my VLEDS today! Going to have to watch this vid a couple more times to make sure I get it done right. Thanks Chloe!!
I love how accessible you make this stuff. Sometimes you hear about having to rewire stuff and it's like nah, i don't have that in me, and then you do it so simply i leave your videos thinking, yeah i got this. Thanks for doing what you're doing!
YES! Thanks Chloe. After 30 years of driving trucks and cars with black interiors, I had enough. It was frustrating discovering how many Toyotas have black-only interiors; or, black-only floor areas. The LED lights are a fantastic. Thanks for doing a very clean look and install. I do a lot of night and winter work so dark footwells and floors are never any help. This was a GREAT tutorial. Toyota needs to get you to do the RAVs, Highlanders and Land Cruiser 😁
Thanks Chloe… I just bought the VLEDS footwell kit for my 69 mustang. They actually have a plug that fits into my stock courtesy light bulb socket… so totally plug and play… and no hacking up my classic car wiring. Couldn’t be happier with the kit.
I love the idea! I don’t think I can justify spending $120 on them though. Happy modding.
Ya 120 is crazy for some foot lighting lol
It is not crazy, it is retarded. Just for the front.
You can give up several of your bad habits and you will have saved up the $120.00 in a flash, which color of flash is your option.
@@ellerybice3787 how dare you excuse me of having a bad habit! *Sips Starbucks White Mocha*
@@Alpha-uk4yb that's not necessarily at bad habit, a bit expensive though. It might be less expensive to own the bartsia and her machine. Do think Chloe would fit the bill?
Chloe, you keep spending my money!! I just got the MillerCAT Cat Shield and will install that this weekend. Great videos! Very detailed and informative. I'll be putting these footwell lights on my shopping list.
Hi Chloe I just received my VLEDS foot well lighting and they've been on back order for like 3 months. So I finally have mine looking forward to the install. And also your instructional install video was presented very well . Great job
Tacoma Chloe SO CUTE!!! Love the videos..
They're also available for the 2014-2021 Toyota Tundra. Vleds appears to be one of the bet "plug and play" footwell and also puddle lighting available. Thanks Chloe.....excellent posting!
Thanks for the easy-to-follow directions. I just got mine and they look great worth the money. I work nights and this is great to have. No need to hunt with a flashlight when you drop something anymore and I can see getting in and out. Chole keeps showing us nothing but great products unlike so others out there that just show anything they get for free and lie about how good they are. Thanks again
I want a taco truck and I'm living my dream through you. Lol.
Just an FYI, the 2016 to 2023 Tacoma Footwell light installation has changed. VLED changed it to plug into the overhead light. A very simple install still. Great job Chloe. They need you to do a vid for them on the new ones!
I just ordered the new one, came in today. Does it still hide all the wires?
@@vfernan17 It feeds behind the trim next to the windshield then down the pillar just as Chloe’s did. Easy install.
@@dennishochwender8208 thanks! Easy install, love the way it came out.
Thanks for the awesome video. I just installed mine tonight with your help!
Question. Can you “shut off” the map lights and interior light with the switch up by the map lights and still have the Footwell lights function when the doors open ?
Also, can the nite mode be shut off ?
I like a dark interior when I’m driving. My dash lights are as dim as possible and I never use the center radio screen.
I see very well in the dark, and simply do not like a lot of light.
Thank you for your informative installation videos. Job well done.
I love VLEDs! I replaced all the lights at the front of my Tundra and all the interior lights. Yeah the bulbs and kits are pricey but I don't have issues with blown fuses or melted connectors - and as you point out their kits are plug and play. I should see if they have this kit for my truck - your install demo is perfect
Those lights are great I installed them on my ‘20 tundra front and rear in blue they look amazing!!!!
Hi Chloe. I love your UA-cam channel. I got several mods based on your recommendations. I am going’s to install the footwells…your YT definitely convinced me. I cannot handle anymore than one vehicle at a time. I do not know how you do it. I wanted to thank you for the information I have acquired from your subscription. Thank you. Huge follower. 🤟
I remember installing an aftermarket CD player in my 99 Honda Civic Si in a parking deck at VCU in Richmond, VA. I got interrupted only once by parking security.
I actually use a kit I made myself that turns on with my dome light and has it's own switch as well. I went red on mine. A lot my lights are red in the interior because I really only use or notice them at night and red is really easy on your eyes. It also doesn't cast out super far which I like. I have outside lights in amber and white all around my rig if I need it anyway. Nice job and super clean install.
$120 USD ain’t no way stop letting these people scam y’all with ridiculous prices
@@baera11he's right
Great mod and awesome step by step! Thanks. My Tacoma is on the way and I was thinking of getting blue to match my body color, but I will decide when it gets here next week.
Always great content! I installed mine today, not sure if I'm a fan of the soft light that is on while the headlights are yet, but stoked none the less. I goofed and dropped my pen light down the A pillar crevice and spent 30 minutes fishing that out. Other than that install was straight forward. Thanks again!
This is amazing I love it keep up the awesome work Chloe I love your channel I always learn something new about Toyota Tacoma they are my favorite😊
Great video. Hands down my favorite unique thing I’ve done to my Tacoma. Did it after watching the video and seeing the mega thread on it. And now I can easily tie in my puddle pods as well. Also did the VLEDS interior bulb kit too in 5000K which perfectly matches the tone of my floor kits.
I have a red theme. might have to pick the red one up! Great video as per usual :)!
Wow. I love your Channel. I am very soon to buy a Tacoma and you showing all the mods is so Uber cool. Keep them coming!!!
Another great mod you suggested! 🙂My installation was different because my harness connected in the overhead panel; otherwise, it was the same. The hardest part of the installation was feeding the wire down the A-pillar and removing that darn red tape on the 3M tape. They even included a pry tool to remove the bolt cover on the A-pillar.
my installation was the same as yours however courtesy mode has not been working on mine…is yours working fine?
Just picked up the kit with the 5500K lighting. As an added bonus ordered the interior LED lights kit (5500K) as well. Thanks for the video and idea!
Thanks Chloe for the video. I installed mine today and it was easy because of your video. Keep making videos like this.
New subscriber here, traded in my 09 Taco for a 22 TRD OR. presently waiting for delivery. I love this mod and it will definitely be on my to do list. You have a great channel
You are such a breath of fresh air! I love your videos!
Great video young lady..I have a 2022 Toyota Tacoma Off Road, and I am very seriously going to look into these lights…you did a great job with the video! Looks great in your truck…
The wire routing is different than her video....I have a 22TRD and the instuctions say go through the overhead light cluster and through the headliner down the A pillar. Surprised the heck out of me, but Im going to call them on Tuesday (after New Years) and check for sure
They look great ,need those!. Love the channel 🤙🏻
Love those lights. Just picked up the 55K's to match interior lights. Thanks for the vids!!
It would be cool, to have the white light for entry/door open, then a very dim soft blue to match the dials/buttons for night driving..
Awesome video, I ordered this and the rear add ons! Can’t wait to install once it arrives.
You should suggest that they make these “waterproof” and sell them as puddle lights like the VIP cars. Install them either under the vehicle or under the side mirrors. So when you walk up to the truck or unlock the doors, the puddle lights turn on just like you showed. I used to have that on my car. They saved me a couple of times in dark places, after it rained. I think I might do that instead.
Thank you Chloe for a great channel and great ideas. You review and show some first class mods that I have put on my 2019 TRD Pro. These footwell lights are another example. Ordered them today. I like the look that I have in my 2021 Avalon Touring and missed that feature on my Taco, but no more. Now for a challenge, is there a mod out there for a heated steering wheel for those freezing days. Thanks for the great mods, keep them coming!
Man would I love a heated steering wheel too
Nice...somehow I missed this vid. Great narration and instructional.
These would look good in red to match the dual map lights from meso
2nd gen? Great video as always!
Great video! I’m going to try these in my Tundra. You make it look easy!
Nice vid. Next do a demo for installing the rear VLED kit.
I used LED strips and they automatically turn on when I turn the truck on; they'll stay on whatever setting they were last on. ran them under the seats instead though, so the light is pretty dim by the top front end of the footwell.
UPDATE 2023: VLEDS has a new V2 harness that requires slightly different install instructions than shown in this video. Please see the additional updated video instructions if following along: ua-cam.com/video/BPhE96QblN4/v-deo.html. Thank you!

Hope you enjoyed the video! I wanted to make a small correction-the PWM only adjusts the “night mode” brightness (and I was told that it is at the lowest setting out of the box). Anyways, thanks for watching as always and happy modding 😄
Thanks. Another great mod install video. I missed your video on mounting the fire extinguisher and First Aid Kit in your rig.
Chloe, Not trying to be demeaning in any way, but, for a girl, you do some of the BEST, most detailed, mod installation videos I have seen! Way to go girl! You are very talented!
You made all that look so easy ! At the factory training people to install that A Pillar is so difficult, most people just don’t get it. The door weatherstripping as well. I would be really surprised if you didn’t leave a big gap at the bottom of the a Pillar where it meets the instrument panel. Either way great job !
How did you remove the white clip??? You only stated you used the provided flat head but I have no idea how to remove it. Please show every step in video.
@@robob221 there should be a tab to push down on. If you don’t see it might be tapped over or possibly even flipped
Really like how all these mods hook up so easy in the Tacoma's. These are cool but going on the back burner. Headight$, Tire$ and rim$...............
Great, I definitely want to do this. Thank you!!!!!!
New subscriber here.
Thank you for your videos.
Very informative and right to the point.
I also enjoy how well produced this content is. 😎👍🏻
As a first time Toyota Tacoma owner, I am very interested in the modifications that you and others have made.
Thanks, and keep up the great work! 😁
Thanks for the support 😊
Thank you for this I just ordered front and rear for my tundra 😎
Demo was on point , great job enjoy your content. 😄
wow chloe these lights look great and clean install, am getting my set in blue because i have blue theme going on .P.S i didnt see the link in the video.
Get the VLED LPR and tap it into your bed lights. Great for camping and hunting and it barely looks like you have a rear light bar.
It should come with small buckets of popcorn 😂🍿🍿
I may have to invest in those.. Appreciate you!
How did you remove the white clip that was attaching the harness to the A pillar? I cannot seem to figure that out.
I would love to see a long term review of these. I'm thinking about getting them but I wonder how long the adhesive strips last or what happens if one goes out
You can buy a roll of 3M tape anywhere.
I’ve had mine for almost a year and so far no issues. I did need to buy stronger adhesive tape. The tape that comes with the lights is not strong at all unfortunately
How do these work with the meso puddle pods? Do they turn off when the door is closed?
Hi Chloe, another great easy mod for the Tacoma. Question? Have you found a similar aplicación for the glove compartment? I hate that there is no light when I open it. Please let me know if you have any products or suggestions. Thanks.
Have you any information about installing the FITCAMX rear camera on the 2022 Toyota Tacoma?
I really wish I knew about these sooner. I installed a driver-side grab handle about a month ago and screwing the handle into the bracket underneath the A pillar was such a frustration that I refuse to ever remove it again in fear of not being able to get the handle back on.
I'm digging this Mod. My old Ram had the blue lighting through out and it was very cool. Im going to stick the blue ones in my 22 and turn down the output a touch. Nice informative video. By the way are you or have you studied automotive engineering because you are one sharp automotive young lady. Glad I found your channel.
Getting red for both the front and rear foot wells.
These look awesome. Such a great step by step walk through of the installation. I'd like to have something that illuminates the ground when I open my door so I know if I'm about to step in a puddle or uneven/rocky ground. Could these also be used under the door panel as well? Is there enough clearance when door is closed? Or is there another option that would work better for that?
Yes! That would be another great use for them and you just gave me a great idea. Keep in mind though, the lights would always be on in night mode when your headlights are on. Anyways, I think you would just need an extension + more strip bars
Meso makes awesome puddle lights but are very limited in quantity when he releases them
you light up our lives!
Thanks, Chloe!! You share such great upgrade ideas
Been looking for something like this. This is awesome but I need one for a Honda Ridgeline.
Great mod 👍Thanks for the video
Will definitely order this for my Tacoma
Mahaloz 🤙
Great video . Pricey for footwell lights.
wonder what the closest color temperature is to the meso map lights.
That's what I'm trying to figure out. Trying to decide between 5500 and 6000k or just go red since I have the map and dome in dual color. It's for my 4runner. I'd love a dual color option
Love it thanks! Now I need lights for the bed and brighter for the overhead. LOL
Wow, really great job. Looks awesome. No trouble passing the wire from drivers side to passenger side? I could only dream it would go as smoothly when I do it.
I sure do wish they had these for the new tundra (22+)! The Interior lighting is horrid, especially in the SR5, which is the largest selling trim! I would buy some today if they had it, and I’m sure a ton of other people would as well!
Can you show more about how you ran the 4 foot daisy chain connector through the center console to reach the passenger footwell light? That is where I got stuck
Awesome Mod Chole.
Awesome install! I love the OEM look! Do you plan to install the MESO puddle pods? Thanks!
I have been looking at them!
Don’t the meso use the same plug tat she uses on the pillar. It’s been a few years since I installed them and I thought I remember per using that.
Can you make a video that includes the meso puddle pods and the V5 sequential turn signals. I've already installed the puddle lights and I just received the turn signals and I'm waiting for the vleds. No one has covered this yet I've looked everywhere.
Sweet I’ve been thinking of doing this!!!
What camera do you film these videos with? The image is always absurdly sharp. I love it.
Chloe shout out to you !! Was going to get the turn signals but that can wait for the next pay check thankssssssssss
Another great product & another great video!!!
Theres no factory dimmer switch on the 5th gen 4 runner right?
My wife needs rock lighting for when she goes to he 4 runner at night in the dark. Make sure nobody is under the 4 runner. Would like to see a rock lights or such that works with her unlock feature on her factory remote.
Nice video. I don't know if the footwell lighting is for me. Today, I watched your video 'Taking Off My Stock TRD Off-Road Grille' a bunch of times as I was changing the grill on my Tacoma. I got the grill with the four orange LEDs.
Hello, the video is very instructive, but for the passengers behind, how could it be installed in the back of the front seats? Because I am trying for a 4 runner 5th gen please
Those look great! Wish they also made some for the 2nd gen. 3rd gens get all the cool stuff lol
A prototype is already in the wild and we’ll be getting a 2nd Gen kit on the market later this year!
I Put the vled footwell lights in my 18 tundra front and rear 👍
You’re awesome Chloe. Lovin the channel
Hey Chloe your mod videos are awesome. My favorite 🌮 mod ever was a vinyl floor kit for a 96 I used to own, but I cannot locate a kit for my 2020 tacoma pro. Have you ever come across one? If you ever own a truck with the vinyl floor you’ll never want carpets again! Thanks again for the channel, have a great day
I just received my Aqua Blue footwell lights and was looking to install on my 22 TRD. However the instructions are saying to remove the center headliner light cluster clip into those connectors and route the wiring down the A pillar and under the dash. Any idea why the process would be different except for Toyota changing the wiring sequence?
Nice video.
Can you pls send me a link to any video or photo you may have or know of,
that shows the details for each of the fuses in the interior fuse box of a 2023 Tacoma TRD sport?
You know there's a few viewers getting triggered when you say male and female connectors lol. Thanks for the video Khloe. Love your videos!
Like your logo....screw em!
Thank you Chloe from Rhode Island! Love my plate lights cut out in reverse and now this. Just ordered....love to find front bumper light to high beam switch plug and play ....as opposed to cut and figure out...any leads on that?
Nice upgrade to a great truck. Thank you for the new product information. Great video!!
Got the white ones for front and rear
Was feeding the wiring from driver side to passenger that straight forward? Seems as if you woiod need some luck to get it thru that tiny hole without missing?
I’m just wondering if this will still work for me since I already have the puddle pods installed !
Thank you for the video quick question will these lights come on if the map lights are off?
Can you install the footwell light kit if you already have the Meso Customs puddle lights? I know we are already using the harness to tie in the puddle lights.
Oh Chloe. The money I've spent because of your videos...
Cloe I just ordered a set for front and back in red as I’m doing red/orange accents
At the 10:00 mark, I could not remove the connector from the white piece that is attached to the pillar. Can you explain how you did this?
