Personally, if I were to receive the lights I would pass it on to my best mate bc we're both financially struggling, but I think seeing the joy on my friends face would make me more happy then if I was to receive it for myself.

Great video and very informative. Since the birth of our daughter a few weeks ago I’ve started to rethink how our vehicle is set up for camping and touring. Previously I hadn’t really considered driving lights an essential requirement but now, anything I can do to make travel safer for my family is a good thing. We are planning a road trip from Newcastle to Tassie later this year and the Stedi’s would be a very welcome addition. Best of luck everyone!

Great video Shauno, very well put together and timely as I’m just scouting the internet looking at the many options of LED driving lights after hitting a roo at 90km/h at night. The mighty Pajero survived the impact luckily but certainly made me realize it’s time for a set of spot lights!

Love the video Shauno! My fourbie needs a fair few upgrades as it's quite stock and not having to save up for a set spotties would be a dream, especially for daily driving as most of my driving is during the night and the normal headlights need a helping hand! Keep up the great work!

Your spotlights are turned off more times than on
      On the highway up there
Waste of time if you drive on major highways
Just too much traffic to use them properly

Love your channel. Research shows that the light levels for older adults should be increased by at least 50% over those needed by younger people. As someone in my mid 70’s, who still enjoys off road driving, I really need these LED lights to replace my Cibie Oscars which seem to be getting dimmer as I age.

@@yarpos so what spotties do you have on your rig? I didn’t say spotties weren’t needed, I said these high dollar spotties aren’t needed. Most I’ve seen run the cheap Amazon specials. Why I said anyone would be stoked to get this set.

Part of his reply is in USA "we can not run them on road" legally. I've got a mixture of floods and " spotty's " on my "fourbie's" no "Roo's" to run in roads but whitetails, moose, antelope, cattle ect ect. . Hitting a moose can be deadly in N. America. Another Yank here, that follows a few 4 Wheel things from there... 👍

Just watched your video and you did a great job in explaining things in regards to spotties! My partner and I recently downgraded from our Ford Ranger because with my back issues, I was really struggling to get in and out, so we got a Nissan QASHQAI, which we love. We live in a regional area and night time driving can be hazardous at times. We've recently installed a good quality nudge bar in it and would love to finish her off with an awesome pair of spotties! Keep up the good work!

Slowly building my 4jj1 Colorado into a tourer/camper, kind of hard to do being a 21 year old on a tight budget but it’s getting there slowly!
These spotties would help me with the build by a ton! As well as they look primo as! currently saving up for a simple 12V system for a second hand fridge I’ve bought.

Thanks for another awesome and informative video Shauno! My 4wd will definitely benefit from a new set of spotties as the stock headlights aren't the best and the high beam doesn't make much of a difference at all, so a new set of Type X Evo's will definitely aid in those night time drivings far from the city were visibility is minimum and when you are out in the bush searching for a campsite. These lights will definitely increase confidence when driving at night which will also make for a safer journey.

great to see your trying to help people while plugging your pocket with those awesome looking stedi units.
It may be a good idea to inform people about road regs when it comes to Lights, here in vic if they are forward of your "B" piller or behind or above your bull bar bar they are considered camping lights and the switch must not be able to be reach by the the driver while driving,
This why I need the Stedi lights because I got defected and had to disconnect my roof mounted light bar which doesn't fit my bar, those steady units would make my rig shine day and night.
keep the information coming, well done .

Awesome info Shauno 👌 Taking the family on a massive road trip to QLD in September, a trip we've been saving for for a long time now, and we'll be driving the Mrs's old 120 Prado. It's bog stock standard, don't even have a set of driving lights fitted, and we'll be doing a bunch of evening and night time driving through the bush. A set of these edri ing lights would go a long way towards safe night driving and piece of ind with the fa I'll on board.

Amazng video. So much good accurate info. I could use a set of lights for my stock Jeep Wrangler. The headlights are like candels and I am moving to KY for med school. Going to be dodging a lot of deer. As a daily driver these lights will save me driving at night in rural KY. Thanks Shauno!

I've just purchased a 2003 Gu3 wagon with 351k Kms on the clock. I can desperately do with some lights, but since the car was over budget I had to really stretch to get it and therefore can't afford those amazing Stedi's which I reckon would look amazing in front of my rig. Would be stoked to get my hands on them. Also you guys are awesome, never miss a show! Thanks!

Great tips on the Spotties. I just bought myself a 4runner and am about to put it on the road. It currently has an original set of spotties that just don't cut the mustard any more so am trying to work out what lights to put on it. A set of Stedi's would fit in nicely.

    Cheers Shauno.
I've recently bought my first 4wd and just took it out for its first camping trip last night! Super exciting. I don't have spotties yet and so after the sun set I was relying on my normal headlights to see where I was going. Pretty sketchy. I realized then that spotties are the next thing that I need for my 4wd. Would love to win some!
    Cheers. Loving all your videos.

I would love a set to go on my 200 Series Cruiser I recently bought! The Stedi Type X's would really help make it my ultimate tourer!

Thanks again for another informative video. I'm still running Lightforce HID's - yep takes forever to light up, but it's a tough choice these days to make the right change without breaking the bank. See you on the tracks.

We haven’t yet put any driving lights on our Troopy but have upgraded the headlights to Stedi’s - after a few night drives on country back roads & night beach driving on Fraser Island we definitely need a good set of Stedi Driving Lights 🙌 Love the Channel - definitely better than Netflix 👍😜

Thanks for doing this Shano I’ve always run a light bar wide and distance and they have been great. I did not know about the colour that was really interesting.
I like the STEADI spot lights as I’m buying a new patrol and will need to put a set on it 👍🏼

Great info. Especially the specs to look for in a lower priced light. I could really use a set as I'm just starting a budget Pajero/montero build and don't have lights yet.

I watch all of your videos and it makes me miss home so much, thats why I went and got me a fourby! Might even tag a pic of the rig for beers in the shed when she's ready!
