Your spotlights are turned off more times than on
      On the highway up there
Waste of time if you drive on major highways
Just too much traffic to use them properly

Shoutout to Shauno and the 4WD 24-7 team.
For the opportunity, living my dream.
If I win those Stedi spoties, you'll see,
My 7-year-old son, he'll be screaming with glee.
Ever since he watched your thousand buck track,
My little man's been hooked, ain't no turning back,
He's a fan of the show, knows every line,
And winning those spoties would truly be divine.

Love your channel. Research shows that the light levels for older adults should be increased by at least 50% over those needed by younger people. As someone in my mid 70’s, who still enjoys off road driving, I really need these LED lights to replace my Cibie Oscars which seem to be getting dimmer as I age.

My son bought his first car and is quickly learning how much it costs to mod a 4x4. He is working part time and puts most his money towards his car. He is currently saving some coin to put toward a set of lights and mate, he would be so chuffed opening a surprise box with Stedi Type X Evos in there!!!! Love your vids, keep up the great work......

Great video and very informative. Since the birth of our daughter a few weeks ago I’ve started to rethink how our vehicle is set up for camping and touring. Previously I hadn’t really considered driving lights an essential requirement but now, anything I can do to make travel safer for my family is a good thing. We are planning a road trip from Newcastle to Tassie later this year and the Stedi’s would be a very welcome addition. Best of luck everyone!

Great video Shauno, very well put together and timely as I’m just scouting the internet looking at the many options of LED driving lights after hitting a roo at 90km/h at night. The mighty Pajero survived the impact luckily but certainly made me realize it’s time for a set of spot lights!

Finally someone who knows what they are talking about. Being saying similar for years.
I am looking at a set of these for our school bus I drive in the upper murray. Deer are hard to see at night, and when driving back from Albury to Corryong, it's a challenge seeing them.
We have a cheap set until our finances mean we can donate a set to the community bus we use.

Love the video Shauno! My fourbie needs a fair few upgrades as it's quite stock and not having to save up for a set spotties would be a dream, especially for daily driving as most of my driving is during the night and the normal headlights need a helping hand! Keep up the great work!

This vid came at a perfect time, I turned 18 early april, and all within a week got my license, bought my hilux, and drove up to work in the Kimberly. Now I've been up here for a bit I'm looking to upgrade the old lightbar that is on the Lux, and the stedi's would be absolutely ideal for both the roads up north here, and back home in the Victorian highcountry!

@@yarpos so what spotties do you have on your rig? I didn’t say spotties weren’t needed, I said these high dollar spotties aren’t needed. Most I’ve seen run the cheap Amazon specials. Why I said anyone would be stoked to get this set.

Part of his reply is in USA "we can not run them on road" legally. I've got a mixture of floods and " spotty's " on my "fourbie's" no "Roo's" to run in roads but whitetails, moose, antelope, cattle ect ect. . Hitting a moose can be deadly in N. America. Another Yank here, that follows a few 4 Wheel things from there... 👍

Speak for yourself, I NEED BOTH SPOT AND FLOOD LIGHT for night driving. Here you have cows, sheep, reindeer and elk that run out into the road or just stand in the middle of the road blocking it with an entire reindeer flock. If I do not have good lights I would have to drive snow as snail, with good lights I can actually see them better during the night then in the day.

It’s not the fact I need new ones it’s more so the fact I don’t have any at all !! Been trying to build my truck on a budget. Have done acouple trips and had to rely on the spot lights of the vehicles in front which ofc has led to afew punctures and other sorts of damage. Not ideal at all so the have had to put more mods on hold to cover the repair costs ! Have been waiting for the new stedi spotties to come out and have been trying to save a dollar where I can to one day afford them 👌🏻 love the show and all the advice and tips you guys give !! Great show and very informative. You mention IP68 and 3m of water but the thing most people don't consider is driving down the highway at 80km/h in pouring rain, this is when you are going to get potential ingress as the speed forces the water in every hole. Another is a hot light being splashed with cold water, hot lights expand increasing the opportunities for water ingress. IP68 or IP69 tested and certified is the only answer to this and Stedi have stood by their products for many years ensuring your money is well spent. Love the channel and a set of Stedi lights would look fine on the front of my Everest.

I NEED THOSE SPOTTIES SHAUNO because I moved to the US and I just bought a 1994 Toyota 4runner, or Hilux surf as they're called back home. Its stock as a rock in mint condition so I can't wait to get it ready for the tracks out here.
I watch all of your videos and it makes me miss home so much, thats why I went and got me a fourby! Might even tag a pic of the rig for beers in the shed when she's ready!

Cleared up alot of myths, Cheers. Living 30km out of down down a track with the regular dive home at night a set of spotties are a must, but the price of living is limiting the mods to the car. Every month i try to pack the family up and head off the beaten track to find free camps and cool farm camps for the weekend, usually arriving pretty late trying to dodge the roos, so it would be nice to se them before hitting them.

I'd love a pair Stedi Type X Evo's for my LN106 ponylux. She's been in the family for 24 out of 26 years. I grew up in it, and now I've inherited it off my Dad after 470,000km it's my turn to raise my kids the Toyota way. The old luxy would really benefit from some a set of these mint driving lights.

great to see your trying to help people while plugging your pocket with those awesome looking stedi units.
It may be a good idea to inform people about road regs when it comes to Lights, here in vic if they are forward of your "B" piller or behind or above your bull bar bar they are considered camping lights and the switch must not be able to be reach by the the driver while driving,
This why I need the Stedi lights because I got defected and had to disconnect my roof mounted light bar which doesn't fit my bar, those steady units would make my rig shine day and night.
keep the information coming, well done .

Hey Shauno, thanks for the video. So informative - even the misso watched it and commented that she understood a bit more about why I want better driving lights!!! I'm kitting out a 2021 LC200 and currently don't have lights so these would be awesome and help light up the dark roads in WA. Cheers mate. PJ

Here good lights is a must have for night driving with sheep, elk, reindeer and cows blocking the road at random... Looong time ago I was driving at night and a rather large flock of reindeer was blocking the road and I did not see them because of the poor lights on my 1993 model Opel Astra, I had to drive slalom between them while slowing down, and I did miraculously avoid hitting any of them.
After that I mounted two Hella Rally 3000 and put in 100W halogen bulbs in them, and my car`s dynamo was giving out 14,8v so it was a LOT more then 100W :) Best lights I ever had, they was even more powerful then 50W Xeon. Only now with 170w LED`s I see lights that give the same distance and spread of light. With the 100W bulbs in the Rally 3000 you could see a wooden power poles at 1,500m distance along the road (I turned the lights upside down to give less light to near the car, that also help give more distance ).

    Hey Mate
Love the channel, not sure if it’s to late but I just brought an mux last year to take the kids traveling and being inspired by your channel to create an awesome build. Being a single dad makes it though. I’m keen on getting all the stedi headlights reverse lights etc, the lights up for grabs would make an awesome addition!! Love your work mate!! Cheers!

I have a light bar mounted on the roof spoiler on my 3,2m tall Ford Transit box van, but even mounted that high it give way to much light right in front of the car and it do not light up the road farther away so I pretty much never use it.
I have now bought 2 more of the 25W high beam halogen alike LED lights that came with the car when I bought it that is mounted in the grill of the car in front. They work great to light up the road far ahead and give not to much light right in front of the car. Will mount them up high on the spoiler to give even better reach ahead together with two 170w LED high beam lights with many smaller LED and reflectors (hope they are better then the light bar that have way to much spread).

Love watching your vids Shauno! I’ve just bought my first 4x4 and got a ton of plans for it including a bunch of Stedi lighting. Once I’ve got all that together, it’s straight out into the bush for me and my rig.

To be honest Shauno, I don't even have any LED lights, my dad is too tight on money that he saids he'll never get a pair. We just got a camper that we love going to places with but when driving the long tyring straight roads at night, it's so obvious that just our standard driving lights are nowhere near what we need. the Stedi type X Evo would help out so much and would make the trips around the places a whole lot safer aswell. Hopefully I could be considered in the competition. Cheers Shauno and the rest of ya

Another very critical point about cheap led lights is the interference they can cause to modern electronics eg radio, two way and computers, hence the reason I don’t currently have any extra lighting.

Hi Shauno, love your videos and I am putting my hand up for these stedi spotties as when my daughter brought her prado all that was there was the stedi mounting bracket. I would love to get these and fit them for her as she is on shift work which means she is travelling to work and home in the dark most of the time. Love the antics you and the crowd get up to when you go traveling.

Hey Shauno! My 80 needs a set of these spotties for sure. Its still sporting some ancient Hella halogens and it needs to be dragged into the modern world so its driver can see at night on the long hauls to save the roo population!

Thanks for another awesome and informative video Shauno! My 4wd will definitely benefit from a new set of spotties as the stock headlights aren't the best and the high beam doesn't make much of a difference at all, so a new set of Type X Evo's will definitely aid in those night time drivings far from the city were visibility is minimum and when you are out in the bush searching for a campsite. These lights will definitely increase confidence when driving at night which will also make for a safer journey.

Just watched your video and you did a great job in explaining things in regards to spotties! My partner and I recently downgraded from our Ford Ranger because with my back issues, I was really struggling to get in and out, so we got a Nissan QASHQAI, which we love. We live in a regional area and night time driving can be hazardous at times. We've recently installed a good quality nudge bar in it and would love to finish her off with an awesome pair of spotties! Keep up the good work!

Thanks guys for another great video!! I need a new set of Stedi Type X Evo spotties because my current HID's just aren't cutting it...I fitted a Stedi 3303 Pro bar and its awesome, but the colour temp difference and lower light output from the "other" brand HID's actually cause me eye strain, the Type X Evo's in a combo set would fix that eye strain and make offroad driving much safer for me! Cheers, Foxy!

Hi 24/7 Crew, Life for me is about to change big time. I've always been happy driving the missus car with the standard headlights, but that's all about to change with our first child due today(22nd) The more light the better to help us see down the road further to protect our little growing family.
