      It's a little underwhelming and I will assure you the wg633 is SOOOO much more powerful but I honestly can't show power on a video unless I build some kind of ultra technical rig and I just can't! :-P I hope the near 40% less water consumption and only 5 minute less run time proves that this is more efficient and more powerful in a roundabout way.

      Yes, with more power comes a shorter run time, assuming that the extra power consumption is not just going into heat and noise but instead physical power, I can assure you, using both side by side that the wg633 physically kicks when you turn it on and tries to lift vertically when running from the pressure it exerts.

      @@mikesptworld What do you think of WG633 compared to other portable pressure washers e.g.) Stanley fatmax pressure cleaner, Ryobi One+ 600psi EzClean Power washer

      Putting an independent hat on, worx made the first truly portable pressure washer back in 2016, many others have attempted to copy it since but have been unsuccessful as it requires a lot of R&D to get a fully working machine that is competitive in the market not only for performance but price too, it is extremely interesting that on worx 3rd generation (wg620 - gen 1 brushed wg630 brushless - gen 2 & wg633 brushless refined and perfected being gen 3) I think a company like karcher could easily make a cordless pressure washer that is "better" but the cost vs the market they dominate means they could never make something with circa 50% power of their corded ones for 3x the price and Try and sell it with a tag line of "does half the work for 3 times the price" companies like Stanley make a fairly distinct attempt but the product is just trying to be a hydroshot and falls short of the performance mark, then look at the HUGE family of 20v powershare tools you can use your batteries with, vs Stanley's tiny range, the only worthwhile one to mention is greenwood's, they make a 40v sort of cordless version of a mains style 650w base station and hose system, it is really good but is a different product and is not a all in one like the hydroshot, the ryobi is good but will unfortunately always be playing second fiddle to worx, mainly due to the fact that ryobi make one as a offering to fill a customer needs basis, and stop customers going to other competitors, once you invest more than say 3 batteries and 3 tools you are unlikely to change your chosen manufacturer regardless of how good others are out there. The thing I like about worx is their diversity and quality alongside innovation and never stopping at "thats good enough" it's more "this will do until we improve on it again" that is what gives worx their edge and refinement in my opinion.

    Hi Mike, Im 36 from the UK and have never seen such a in-depth review on the internet 😂. I purchased a cheap cordless 15 bar washer on Amazon and it was rubbish so I instantly returned it. I then started looking online and found both of your videos regarding this product. The way you reviewed it has convinced me to order the 56 bar version & i am currently watching it charge to use tomorrow. Thankyou for your detailed informative video 👍🏻

      Hi and thanks for the comment :-) if I'm honest I was fed up of seeing low detail reviews which lacked important information and features, therefore I decided to create my own channel reviewing in depth rather than this modern day 30 second attention span reel based videos that get a million views but inform you very little about the products features! It started 2 years ago with a single video and I think I'm now up to about 30 videos and countless products reviewed within them, I still have many more products to review and worx keep bringing out new ones so it is ever evolving, I hope you are as impressed with the hydroshot as I am, it really is a fantastic product.

      @@mikesptworld Hi Mike, the style of your videos is great and really informative. Since my purchase I have gone back to your videos numerous times to check things as they offer much more insight than the manufacturers instructions.
      So today I used my new hydroshot for the first time and it seems great. I purchased a £12 aftermarket snow foam lance that uses the quick connect as I couldn’t get a worx foam attachment in time. This produced fairly thick foam due to the increased pressure and I was impressed at how things were going. I let the foam soak then used the supplied worx nozzle set to 15o and I was amazed at how powerful the unit was. It blasted away all the grime from the wheels with ease and done a really good job of removing any dirt build up, After I switched to eco mode and fanned the car with any remaining water in my drum. In total I used 40L of water (2x 20L drums) and I wasn’t trying to be very economical. Once the car was washed I refilled my barrels and used the remaining battery to wash about 6ms of the garden path.
      Overall I’m really happy with the system, have a few more bits to collect but it’s almost perfect so wanted to say a big thanks to you as these videos was a large influence towards my purchase.
      I’m now going to watch your new video on the worx lawnmower and I don’t even have a garden haha.
      Hope you had a nice weekend 👍🏻

    Thanks for the great reviews of these devices! I've ordered WG633 mainly for bicycle cleaning, but went for this higher specce'd model for the multiuse possibilities around the yard and house. Would be great to see Eco mode in action, that would be most likely feasible for light cleaning tasks like bicycle cleanup after ride and would save battery & water. Have you tested does WG633 limit the pressure when using the short lance? I've seen in another video that there is a magnet in the long lance and the earlier washer limits the pressure when the magnet within the long lance is not detected.

      @mikesptworld  Рік тому +2

      Hi thanks for the suggestion, I may do a eco mode test now I know how much water it uses and how long it runs for :-) it will be an interesting comparison, I use it for cleaning my own bike but I have the odd one or two batteries so I don't worry so much, but I will put it on my future videos list :-) with regards to the lances...... yeah..... the lances...... you have a point but as far as I have been able to mathematically prove YES there is loss on the longer lance...... you loose about 1.3 psi using the longer lance..... to put this into perspective its about 1/800th of the wg633's power or to put it better you are more likely to gain or loose pressure from battery voltage and temperature differences in the air than you will with long vs short lances! Though it is a very valid question to ask and one I thought may happen too until I did the math..... 4 times over and still got the same result!

    I'd like to see the real power of the two devices when pumping water with a restrictive head such as 0deg or 15deg. Then we will likely see the high power consumption of the wg633. I would guess 20-25A @ 18V ~400W. Its definitely killing batteries much faster than my WG630 did. Its also making the batteries warm and the motor housing is warm to touch.

    WG633 with a heftier battery would be the top combo. Worx do 5Ah batteries now, should in theory add a little more run time and probably be close to the 630 + 4Ah combo in that respect. There are also third party batteries at a claimed 5Ah but quality will undoubtedly be more hit and miss depending on manufacturer.

    • @mikesptworld
      @mikesptworld  10 місяців тому

      I have covered one of the "too good to be true" batteries and the one I chose to test was "somewhat interesting" claimed 6ah but just about managed 3ah, temperature checker was a resistor instead of a thermistor so could potentially cause fires and it had a thin piece of wire connecting the batteries to the main board meaning it was a point of highest resistance and possible point where if the battery was short circuited that it would cause a fire rather than fuse or fail safe.

      You can probably build your own battery with some cells.

    • @mikesptworld
      @mikesptworld  7 місяців тому +1

      I tore down a 1.3ah pack and replaced the batteries with some red 18650's from a bosch battery pack, it worked OK but needed a seriously hot shoe to solder the bars to the ends of the cells, might be easier with tagged cells, problem is a battery is designed to thermally disapate heat not conduct it so that was very challenging and possibly damaged the cells in the process, by that time you are better off just taking your chances with the 'interssting' ebay / amazon packs or buying genuine ones, unless you own a spot welder...... then you are quids in!

    I’m hoping to stick in a generic snowfoam lance, give it a coat rinse, then use a two bucket method to shampoo with a mitt and rinse off again . If I’m able to do enough with a 5min £2 jet at the local petty I’m sure 15 mins of jet time should do the job for me.

      Hi! :-) I use my washer in the summer time about 3 times a week, in winter I use it every day to keep my work van looking fresh and shiny, it never fails me and it does come with a 3 year DIY warranty and a 1 year trade warranty, so they are pretty confident it is a product that will last, some of the accessories rubber o rings can become stiff if not used for a while, though a small application of water is all that is needed to bring it back like new.

      Good question, one which I am about to cover in a video on its own but in short, bigger output, better run time, less thermal deficiency (I.e energy being wasted converted into heat instead of power) higher voltages for longer duration, better battery condition check with 5 bars of accuracy giving (0%) 20% 40% 60% 80% & 100% represented, battery condition checker is on a side that favours all tools (some designs hid the battery checker when it was on the non pro side - opposite end to the terminals) battery check light stays on for 5 seconds too handy so you dont have to continuously hold down the button, ventilated casings, better quality cells, the main internal connections feature a fused connection in the event of short circuiting! And unless I'm mistaken that is a full list of non aesthetic changes or differences between them, battery release button has better textured finish with micro dimple design, motif is different and bottom sticker layout is different with a foil design sticker as opposed to a normal one.

Or even a simple force gauge, but the scales would be better as I could keep the water away from them and have an accurate repeatable rig to compare the force between the two models and could vary the nozzles to show peak exerted force?, as this would also show / prove the nozzle has nothing to do with the extra cleaning power.
