      Thanks Mate. At the end of this month there is going to be an other portable pressure washer test/review with a product received from a trustful Chinese brand. If you’re in to this kind of power washers, stay tuned for that. Haven’t opened the box, but the specs are very promising, so will see how that goes. 😉

      Thank you Haggard! The backstory of creating this video was that moment when I was about to purchase this Worx Hydroshot myself, and I was looking for answers but couldn’t really find them. So I pulled the trigger and purchased the Hydroshot, and I thought, I try to answers them questions I had prior buying that, and hoped it will be useful for people who is in the same boot than I was.
      I’m glad it helped you, and I hope it will meet your expectations. Feel free to do an update on your comment once you will have a chance to rock your Hydroshot 🙌

    Best review I have seen. You used it on what it was made for! Light car washes for people who maintain their cars on a regular basis. And one of the only reviews to show battery life/info. Even if you have a water source at home I think this is still great. Your home spray nozzle is not going to produce 300psi. I just purchased one and I think it makes for a very flexible /multiple ways to wash your vehicle.

      Thank you for your feedback! I’m glad you found the video useful! This is a great bit of a tool to have and I agree on the things you mentioned. If you have a tap to use, that’s even better, because the hydroshot will be slightly more powerful compared to using from a bucket (which is sufficient already). Hope you will enjoy using yours!

      Hi Greg,
      I'm glad you found the video useful. In my opinion, it's a great bit of a tool, especially useful if you live in an apartment, also. I use a Karcher K4 (which works from a bucket with further accessories, too), but there is 2 bigger downside compare to the hydroshot: it needs fixed power source, and because Karcher is more powerful, consumes double / triple time more water in the same time frame. Although, it's more powerful, but I think, the hydroshot itself has a decent power as well.

    Excellent review, thank you for all the effort. Living in high rise with indoor garage and no water/power hookups and trying to eval solutions so yours was extremely helpful. Think I'm going with this for pre-wash/rinse and will pair with an IK foam sprayer. Wish Worx had a bundle for this model that included a 2nd battery!

    • @RoadToDetailing
      @RoadToDetailing  Рік тому

      Thank you Karl, I’m glad you found this video useful 🙌 I also use an IK foam sprayer, that helps a lot during washes. I would say you are good to go with a single battery in case of WG630E (bigger battery) because that runs around 40-45 minutes. But if you feel you need longer working time than you can purchase a separate battery later, too. As you said, it’s a pity they don’t offer a double battery deal, but sometimes the battery goes on sale as well. 🤞🏻

      Hi Chris! Appreciate your feedback and I’m glad you found this video useful 🙌 This Hydroshot with the highest power (in EU market) and the bigger 4.0mAh battery can be very pricey, but in my opinion is one of the best in its category. Don’t expect the same efficiency as a normal electric pressure washer, but if you have the patience and figure out the right technique (that will come after a bit of playing with it) of usage, this can be a very good little device in your arsenal. Let me know how you’ll get on with this. Happy Cleaning! Viktor

      Thanks for the reply. Having watched many videos I have limited my expectations as to what to expect, but I am hoping it will save me some time when it comes to rinsing the unit of my articulated lorry which is an MAN TGX, and is kept in a truck park with no water suppy.
      I will work through some of your other videos which all seem interesting. Greetings from Holland.

    • @RoadToDetailing
      @RoadToDetailing  2 роки тому

      In that case, the hydroshot can work. Make sure to pick the bigger battery, it really worth it, as 15 mins of running time isn’t enough for a thorough job, hence you can work slower with Hydroshot, due lesser water flow, so you need to soend more time to get a decent outcome. And the bigger battery can do 40-45 minutes easily, also has fast charger option built in the charger.
      The only thing you need to consider is the water usage. Especially with a lorry, I’m sure you will need to use more water then usual. But you can calculate approximately the usage of 2-2.5L/minutes. Best way to have water supply is around a bigger barrel, but few 20L buckets will do the same, but yet again: they are also pricey. I would calculate with at least 60Litres of water for a thorough rinse in case of a lorry. But you’ll get the math right after the first 2-3 times of usage. 👍🏻
      Thanks for the interest and for watching! Hope you’ll find my other content useful as well. Feel free to het back with any feedback, I appreciate them always. Best of luck with your cleaning goals 🙌

    Awesome tutorial I think I will be buying one of these... I know you did a water test but where you able to use a 5 gallon bucket of water for entire wash just curious....I probably will get a foam attachment as well.....Thanks for sharing

    • @RoadToDetailing
      @RoadToDetailing  3 роки тому +6

      I would say it depends on the washing process! What I would say is that, you would probably need at least 2*5 gallon buckets.
      1 bucket: pre rinse, snow foaming
      2. and 3. bucket: rinse off snow foam, wheels, final rinse after contact wash.
      That’s around 15 gallons.
      You can manage with 1 bucket, but then I would do:
      1. APC mix on as a pre wash (no pre rinse with pressure washer)
      2. Rinse off pre wash
      3. Contact wash,
      4. Rinse off contact wash
      Wheels either beginning or the end, whichever you prefer.
      I like to have snowfoam, it’s fun, but you will spend a bucket of water to put it on and rinse it off. ☝️
      I usually used 2-3 buckets just for water source. But it is doable to do with 1 bucket, but takes some time to get used to the process 👍🏻
      If you have further questions dont hesitate to ask.
      Cheers,
      Viktor

    Thanks for the video, since the foam container is very small, can we put a foam on the normal standard bottle?2L bottle, as they designed the foam container to fit outside the gun not as the water bottle, im wondering will the foam damaged the gun?

    • @RoadToDetailing
      @RoadToDetailing  2 роки тому

      Hi Nanoo,
      Fair question. I used a generic snow foam cannon (1L) with it, and it works quite well in my opinion.
      The long gun of Hydroshot has a generic 1/4” quick release connector so it fits with 1/4” foam cannons. But it needs a generic (cheap) lance, hence it doesn’t requires any minimum pressure for work, like MTM Hydro Pf22 does.
      Here is a link for that lance I used with it with no issues:
      amzn.to/3MiIAe3
      You can see in this video how much it worked with a “low foaming” snow foam.
      Hope it helps,
      Viktor

    Good content. Though not so much subscribers, i see good preparation for the video, structure and time management. Watched on 1.5 speed. Compare to washing car with Karcher K3-5 washing machine - water jet pressure significantly lower?

    • @RoadToDetailing
      @RoadToDetailing  3 роки тому +3

      Thank you so much! 🙏 I was planning to have voice over under the review too, but I might update this video in the future.
      To be fair, the difference is significant compared to a Karcher, I have a K4 Compact, which I use as well (with a bucket of water though 😜) I’m planning to have a review about it in the near future. So back to the answer of the question: yes, it has a significant difference, but at the same time, I don’t feel like too much of an advantage of using a Karcher than a Hydroshot. Timewise: yes. As the Karcher has more power = faster water flow = less time and effort to clean. Although, I would say I achieved great outcome using a hydroshot, just in more time. If you’re using good detailing products with great cleaning abilities, Hydroshot could be enough with an advantage of being fully portable.
      If you have water tap and power source available, also time is an important factor, Karcher could be a better choice.
      If you don’t have water nor power source available for washes, and you are okay to spend a bit more time on rinsing off the car, Hydroshot could work a treat.
      So at the and of the day to get the right answer, we need to consider the circumstances, alongside with pros and cons.
      Hope it helps. If you have further questions, don’t hesitate to ask.
      The channel is very new, I have just started 2,5 months ago, so I hope it will grow when more content will be produced. Also, I’m glad you are enjoying them! Appreciate your feedback 🙏

    Really been looking at either getting a snow foam lance for my Worx or an IK Foam Pro 2. Any recommendations?

    • @RoadToDetailing
      @RoadToDetailing  3 роки тому

      Hi John,
      It’s a tough call because it depends. ( I have and used both options) But, I would say, stick with any 1/4” Quick Release foam lance if you are planning to have your prewash by snow foam. I think, IK Foam is better to small areas for instance: wheels. For a whole car, you more than likely will need to refill the IK foam an extra time, also you need to pump the hell out of it for the whole car. At least, that’s what I did when I foamed the whole car with the IK foam sprayer, found it a bit annoying. However, you can save water usage by using an IK Foam, so that’s the reason I say: it depends, mostly on what is more important: using less water during snow foam: IK Foam, have a better snow foam, water usage doesn’t matter: foam lance.
      Hope it helps.
      You can check the Hydroshot with a standard foam lance from Amazon in the pinned comment. Let us know which way you decide.

      Hi Emilyn,
      Do you have the filter at the end of the hose properly? Once after I cleaned that, I put it back in the wrong way, so water couldn’t flow through the hose, as the filter was i a wrong way and stopped sucking the water.

      Hi RxKIKrX, I personally haven’t tried the 0 degree angle on car paint, but I personally wouldn’t try that on the car paint. It has enough power to cut half a cardbox paper, and the pressure power is very forced to one point which I think, yes, it can cause damage on car paint in my opinion, but yet again, I haven’t tried it myself. The most I would go and I think it’s safe but gives more cleaning power if needed is 15 degrees angle, but 25 is very sufficient overall. Hope it helps,

    • @RoadToDetailing
      @RoadToDetailing  2 роки тому

      Hi Shahid,
      Can you help me which exact foam cannon you use? 1/4” Quick Release foam cannons should work just fine with the Hydroshot.
      I had a few struggle with the adjustments on top of the foam lance where you need to turn that towards the “-“ or minimum. Meaning, the foam lance doesn’t let more water in the foam lance as necessary to provide pressure. If the adjustment on top of the foam lance does not in the right position and more towards to”+” than you get more water added to the foam lance, hence you won’t have any foaming action out of the lance.
      Make sure you use at around 100ml of soap solution with around 5-900 ml water in the foam cannon’s bottle.
      Try to play around the adjustment on top:
      1. Attach the soap cannon
      2. Pull the trigger on the hydroshot
      3. Once the water coming through on the hydroshot: start SLOWLY turning that adjustment on top of the foam lance until you have a sufficient foam.
      This is how I did, and worked well.

      Wheels: 10L
      Snow foam: 10L
      Rinse off: 10L
      Final rinse off after contact wash: 10L.
      If you use other pre wash like an apc, than you can use the snow foam’s 10L to pre rinse the car before apply apc as a pre wash and you will be still good with the 40L.

    • @RoadToDetailing
      @RoadToDetailing  Рік тому +1

      Hi, basically that little white ball helps to keeping the end of the suction hose deep in the water. You can remove it, but once you do, you can’t really put that back on its place later on. It’s a helpful feature, but obviously if the water source is deeper than the hose’s length between the end and the white ball, it might be better removing. If you’d use the hose with a regular size bucket, then in my opinion is a keeper.

    • @RoadToDetailing

      Hi Roberto,
      Absolutely. I live in an apartment as well, so basically I have no other choice really to wash my car, other than using a Hydroshot. As it works a good amount of time and could suck up water from a bucket which I can bring with myself from home. So overall, I’m happy with it 👍🏻 It’s only downside is that Hydroshot is a bit pricey, but worth it, if you have no other options and you’d like to wash your car.

      I would say any of the quick release 1/4” connections would work just fine, depending on your budget:

      The one I used is out of stock, same with amazon’s own, which is a budget option but out of stock too.
      Which I heard is good, but a bit pricey is Autoglym’s Foam Lance:
      amzn.to/3m2rzbB
      But it really depends on your budget. As I said, I think you can’t go wrong any of the 1/4” quick release ones. 👍🏻

      Hi Terence,
      It has a decent power to be fair, but I haven’t tried this machine for a job like that. So, honest answer: I don’t know.
      In theory, I wouldn’t pick up this for a job other than a handy machine for light work. I think, in that circumstance you mentioned, probably would do something, but I rather say that, the end results wouldn’t make you happy at the end. Keep that in mind, this is only my guess, and I can be totally wrong, but I can’t see that the Hydroshot would have that much power to satisfy you in that area, even though, I believe the Hydroshot is one of the best in its class.
      I have seen reviews where people used a Hydrometer for their patio and stuff like that, and most of them was quite happy by the results.
      If you order from Amazon, give this a shot, and if you not happy, you can return. But at least, you will have your own experience within your own environment.
      If you do so, make sure you go for the more powerful machine, such as the WG630E with the fast charger.
      I mentioned this in the video, but the weaker and cheaper Hydroshots are “no go” zone in my opinion. (WG630E brushless and above excluded)
      So for the long haul reply.
      Hope it helps at least a bit,
      Viktor

      Hi Levi,
      It is a single battery unit. And it runs around 40 minutes with it. Also, recharging a flat battery around 40 minutes. So if you have a spare battery, you can get continuous use, because while you are using one, the other one can be charged and swap when one of them being flat, in kind of a rotation if that makes sense.

    • @RoadToDetailing
      @RoadToDetailing  3 роки тому +2

      No, I think it’s not possible to finish under 40L of water. I usually use:
      10-20L wheels
      20-30L pre wash (pre rinse, snow foam, rinse off)
      10L final rinse off.
      So, I usually use between 40-60L of water on a normal wash. I use 1 bucket which I refill if needed, and the other 2 buckets I use for 2 bucket method.
      Or, I fill up 2 buckets prior (40L), and use 1 bucket method for shampoo, but in that case I rinse off the mitt just as often as I would do with the rinse bucket.
      Ideally, in my opinion the best choice for water source could be a barrel or drum with the capacity of 50-60L of water. But I think there is an optimal way to do it with 40L (2 buckets) properly. I couldn’t be done with 1 bucket if follow the main aspects of a safe wash.
      Hope it helps.

      @@RoadToDetailing key words "a safe wash" is all I'm saying.... I got sucked in with the 1 bucket wash thought process from other videos. Was washing about a month ago and was thinking there is no way this is a one 5lb bucket deal.... and I was trying to rush it😂

    • @RoadToDetailing
      @RoadToDetailing  3 роки тому +1

      😂 what I think, you need at least 3 buckets, either doing 2 bucket or 1 bucket wash.
      If you can fill up 1 bucket more than once, only for your water source of Hydroshot, then you good to go with the 2 bucket wash method.
      If you can’t, and you need to feel each bucket once (no refills possible), then I would say: you need 2 bucket as a water source for Hydroshot and in that case you stuck with the 1 bucket method which you have your shampoo in, and you rinse off your mitt with Hydroshot every time before you get it in to the bucket with shampoo. I tried this, it worked quite well. For me, it depends on the circumstances of refill availability.
      However, I think if, we can think only in buckets, 4 would be ideal, but at the same time it’s not really cost effective, so 3 is the threshold 😝

    • @RoadToDetailing
      @RoadToDetailing  3 роки тому

      Yes, in case of having a hose with water is definitely an advantage to have and probably won’t need a use of a Hydroshot there. Although it could be handy on a road trip or something, but I assume people rather wash their cars at home than when they’re on a road trip. In my case, this tool is a life saver because I don’t have any kind of water source which I could use.
      Might be a regular pressure washer could work better for those whose have a house with a hose, but not everyone needs or wants one 🙂

      Let me know if you have any questions. Here is an interesting option as well: ua-cam.com/video/d31HX1vOy_s/v-deo.html
      Both are great options by different reasons in my opinion.

    Where's the review? All I saw was how to use it. There's nothing here worthwhile, and I've just wasted 20 minutes! At least give some critical narration on the product. What you like, what you don't. Whether it's a good buy, or whether a mains powered washer is better. If I wanted to watch someone wash a car, I could visit a local car wash and be equally as bored!

      So, you haven’t seen any useful information within 20 minutes? Such as battery life? Charging time? Cleaning capabilities? How to use meant to be a small portion of the 20 minutes. I did this video from a perspective of my questions that I have unanswered before I purchased this unit, hence this video made.
      Here are my narration with a short version for your viewing pleasure:
      ua-cam.com/video/n20rzqHL5eE/v-deo.html
      If you only could take away “how to use it” from the 20 minutes, where I believed were so much more information, then I hope you will find your answers in some other reviews. If you’d give me the questions that you are still chasing answers for, I’m more than happy to help. But all I got from you us that this video has nothing in it, not really the things you wanted to know.
      Do I recommend it? Yes, there is an indication in the video where I state, which version you should buy, IF you decided to go for it. The purchase decision is yours, while this video could help to see more about the device itself.
      I would apologize fir the lost 20 minutes of your valuable time, however, I never forced you to watch the video.
      Regards,
      Viktor

      @@RoadToDetailing you are right, there are better, more informative reviews on UA-cam on this product. Yours plays like a promo video for Worx. I'm sorry I didn't like your video, you clearly spent a very long time making it. But I was expecting a critical review of the product, not a demonstration on how to wash a car.

      We aren’t the same, that’s why people can watch several videos of the same thing. This video made by the reason I mentioned above. I haven’t found those information I wanted prior purchase the product, so I made a video for others whose have the same questions than I have. I don’t bother promoting worx, also you were looking for “is this better than a regular power washer”? No, not even talking about the same category of products. Comparing pear to an apple is not my cup of tea, I’m sorry. Worx Hydroshot is still one of the best portable machine on the market, and I stated my personal pros and cons in 2 videos. If you haven’t find those information in any of the video, it’s fine.
      But stating that you had to watch a person washing a car, well, you are missing out. This is not how to wash a car, hence many pieces of a normal 2 bucket wash is missing from the clips, so I wouldn’t state: “this is how you wash your car”.
      Nothing wrong with your opinion, because we agree to disagree.
      My statement stands: this video is poorly made, has many “filler part” but equally as many useful information that you haven’t found all in 1 video at the time this video was uploaded. There is a shorter version made a few months ago, exactly for the purpose of shortening down things to 3,5 minutes about the same things.
      Yet again, I hope you found your answers, and that is okay for disliking any of my videos, we are different people with different preferences. This is the way I do my things, and I can’t, neither won’t please everyone 👍🏻
      If you have questions about this unit, still offer you my thoughts, that is what comment section should be about the most.
