Wrecky Spinhouse might be the greatest troll nickname in NASCAR history😂😂
Agreed!!😂😂😂
It’s two fold and glorious
As a Stenhouse fan I agree it’s hella creative
It has gotten old.
I didn’t realize that “Wrecky Spinhouse” came from KB. It’s gotta be one of the most clever nicknames in history 😂
Awesome 😂
It’s stupid and childish
Kyle Busch fighting Lajoie and Stenhouse instead of the top guys like Larson and Hamlin makes me sad
All he needs to do ia fight jimmy johnson and that filles out my drinking game of who will be the first yellow of there race so far this year lejoe is winning by a small part over spinhouse
If this was Kyle Larson in Kyle's Busch's position then what
Exactly why he said “i suck as bad as you”. To Ricky. Hopefully he finds true consist speed
As a Larson fan I wish he was battling us too, this sport needs that fire that Rowdy brings
Kinda funny though.
This is the Kyle Busch we've been waiting for this year.
Now *THIS* is the KFB I know and remember.
Heres my hot take. Bristol Night Race SHOULD be a Crown Jewel. Expand it to 5 Jewels. True there numbers haven't been the best in the past years, but that race is always a barn burner. Add in the fact its a cut off race, and Tennesse weather, it fits perfectly
I always felt the Food City 500 at Bristol was a very prestigious race because of some of those insane finishes through the years 🏁
Nascar or someone screw the track up.
Imagine Kyle being like: "The good thing about the both of us is that we currently suck. I'll be able to find you"
The original "Winston Million" races were the Daytona 500, Talladega 500 (Spring race), World/Coke 600 and the Southern 500.
Waiting for the biggest act of revenge this week for him (Kyle Busch) against Lajoie this week, Rowdy is still in there
Or he can do it at the most important race Daytona where Corey LaJoie can make the playoffs the most likely
@@timpowell1429not likely though. Kyle Busch wouldn’t do it at a track with so much collateral damage on the line.
I feel like penalizing “premeditated” behavior is an insurance thing
Yeah I agree with Eric. NASCAR needs to let the drivers self police. Sometimes it’s good for a driver to send a message to other drivers on track, especially rookies. LaJoie is not a rookie, and I really don’t think he meant to wreck Busch, but I don’t blame KB if he did pay him back.
LaJoie first said KB blocked him twice, and now he’s saying the rev chip caused KB to slow and that caused the contact.
Corey Lajoie is the Hailie Deegan of cup
I was never a fan of Kyle, but I'm fast becoming one!
This is the kind of personality and conversations NASCAR needs in the public sphere
Kyle Busch has had mostly good finishes from the indy oval in the 2010’s, while he’s not at JGR i’m still sure he could get maybe even a top 5 this sunday
Well I didn’t have Kyle Busch to be on the Mcafee show in 2024
He's been on it twice now
He's actually been on there several times
"Your a liar, payback is coming" 🥶🥶
2008 Brickyard 400: F-
Actually, to quote Schaffrillas Productions:
“I DONT EVEN THINK F TIER ACTIVELY CAPTURES MY FEELINGS! *THIS $H!T BELONGS IN G TIER!* ”
“Disappointment in the game of life”
It wasn't as bad as the 2000 Daytona 500. Johnny Benson, Jr. almost winning that race has saved it from complete eradication in the minds of all NASCAR fans who experienced it live.
Exactly not bad as the 2000 Daytona 500...ua-cam.com/video/zx6s-100dK0/v-deo.htmlsi=vly24Xode6eE2QWe
That line is easily in his top 5 funniest things he's ever said
Bristol this year mathematically worked out about the same as 2008 Indy and no one batted an eye.
Dale Jr had something to say to Bowman about removing or loosening his belts while the car was still moving, basically called him a F'n idiot and was adimant that a driver leave the belts alone until the car is stopped with the engine off.
Well that was a big contributing factor for how his dad died. He loosened his belts during the red flag and forgot to tighten them back when it went green.
I want to know whats gonna happend when kyle busch goes into the spire 7 truck and sees lajoie 😂
Cup drivers aren't allowed in any other Truck races after this weekend
@@Shaun199 no like next year.. but i think they will be on good terms tho
He'll tell Corey to hold his cups
@Tariq-rb6kk Gotcha, weird dynamic for sure
We fighting each other for 27th position out here
It breaks my heart my hometown track of Richmond has fallen from grace
Product of a terrible car
It was terrible before this car.
I love Rowdy Kyle.... Bristol night race will always be a crown Jewel in my books...
Go get them Kyle.
I think That the Bristol night race is also a crown Jewel. The drivers care a ton about it, it’s a classic short track night race.
Was really hoping you put Michigan there. It’s really a big deal for the manufacturers! It was great to meet you there last year, I wish the weather cooperated
Groovy grid has made its grand return let’s go!
Eric it would be awesome if you did more NASCAR tier lists in the future. Its fun hearing another NASCAR fan’s opinion on certain topics
Hey Eric, wanted to say it was really nice to meet you a couple weeks ago in Nashville! Hope you The pictures turned out with the old school camera.. 😅 Kyle Busch’s interview was fantastic and you’re exactly right more drivers need to show their personality. It will only help grow the sport! Cheers
Kyle Busch is asking for trouble at this point. Maybe Stenhouse should've wrecked Kyle when he had the chance to prove a point to Kyle not to have a big ego.
😂
@EricEstepp, while I agree with much of what you said in your tier ranking, how did we not rank the Darlington Throwback Race in the Very Unique category? It should definitely replace one of the Atlanta races. This was a tier ranking about NASCAR races, I feel that halfway through, you switched to it being more about the track than the characteristics of the race. I mean, it's just my opinion but getting a chance to see themed paint schemes from the past is something pretty special. My friends and I call it the Met Gala of NASCAR. The Met Gala is special and unique for its themes and people can't wait to see what everyone is wearing to match the theme. I feel we all do the same thing, in the NASCAR community, every year when the spring Darlington Throwback Race comes up on the calendar. Just a thought. Otherwise, your analysis is intriguing, as per usual. Long time fan from St Augustine, FL.
Regarding the Groovy Grid, yes, the Fall (which used to be mid-summer, that was fun) Talladega race was on the No Bull 5 list for an extra million dollars for an eligible winner. However, the predecessor to the No Bull 5, the Winston Million, which ran from 1985-1997, included the *spring* Talladega race (Winston 500) as one of four races that could be won for the Winston Million. The others were the Daytona 500, Coca-Cola World 600, and the Southern 500. This overlapped with the Brickyard for 4 seasons, and during those 4 seasons, the 4 "crown jewels" for the Winston Million remained the 4 aforementioned races. However, the NO Bull 5, as the name suggests, offered 5 opportunities for an extra million dollars for winning *any* of the 5 crown jewel races, not 3 out of 4 as the Winston Million required. The 5 races included the Daytona 500, Coca-Cola World 600, Brickyard 400, Southern 500, and the fall Talladega race, which assumed the Winston 500 title sponsorship.
Respectfully, I think you need to remove Chicago Streets. The feelings about it remain inertly mixed and there is even a question as to whether it will continue to be held in its current incarnation. If anywhere, it belongs in the Unique category, because that's exactly what it is, a one-of-a-kind event on the NASCAR calendar.
The bristol night race will always have a special place in my heart becaise it was the very first race i went to with my grandpa.
Top 10 Races I would want to win if I were a NASCAR driver
1. Daytona 500
2. Brickyard 400 (I'm from Indiana)
3. Coca Cola 600
4. Southern 500
4a. Championship Race but only if racing for the championship
5. Bristol Night Race (almost put this at 4)
6. Martinsville (Either Race)
7. Talladega (Either Race)
8. Daytona 400
9. Dover (I love the Dover Monster Trophy)
10. Nashville (I'd want the guitar)
You just can’t miss Eric. Thank you for continuing to provide high-quality content day in and day out.
The Pre race show on NBC for the Brickyard 400 was interpreted by NBC News Special Report.
Over the off season you should put all the races in a tier list of this season or give it a grade like how you would drivers at the end of the season.
I think the Brickyard 400 in 2005 or whatever, when the tires were blowing in 7 laps after the Diamond grinding of pavement was when fans stopped going to the race. NASCAR and Goodyear didn't do their do diligence and have a tire test after the pavement was done, which had been completed over in October or November the year before, so IndyCar could do their tire tests.
That was 2008. Goodyear was not at fault, they literally brought the same tires as they did the previous year. NASCAR didn’t let them do enough tire tests and the COT was really rough on the tires on that track. NASCAR should’ve scheduled more testing
I am going with what was known as "Winston Million" as the Crown Jewel races. The Daytona 500, Winston 500 (Geico 500 this year-Spring Talladega race), The Coca-Cola 500 and the Southern 500.
This is why we need the original Rowdy back!!
Indianapolis resident here. The Brickyard 400 has never been bigger than the Indy 500.
Once Kyle shows up with a beard he’ll let everyone know what true fear is
Didn't he have a beard for almost the entirety of 2019?
@@DepravedCoTApologist yeah and he was one of the ones that season
Wild how some races fade out over time, due to schedule changes, points format changes, new cars. In the mid 2000s I would’ve put the fall Richmond race, the race before the chase somewhere on this list
I'm surprised you left out both of the Kansas races. That track has greatly benefitted from the Next Gen car and has become a popular stop coming both fans and drivers.
thank you so much for giving Talledega some respect. its my hometown and favorite track. i was at the fall race last year and it was amazing! thank you for the respect Eric. i love all of your stuff
As a Michigan native and that being the only track I've been able to make it too, it's awesome to hear someone talk about it in high regard
The fact that Nascar and drivers don't see the Bristol Night Race as a crown jewel is a travesty
One of the few races that still pulls 100k or more fans
At it's worst, the race is okay. On the other end it's given us countless iconic moments through the years just like The 'official' Crown jewels have
I would list them, but I don't want to write a novel.
The Chicago race is a joke been rain and tons of wrecks both years then shortened when svg won just doesn't feel like a very solid race it should be in the unseen tier.
Classic Pat Mcafee show. Granted they don't know much about Nascar and like to talk about the fights alot... but Pats show would be the one for the guys to open up no hold barred and say whatever they want
You didn't put Dover on the list anywhere I would have changed Dover with the Colosseum Clash
It amazes me that you young guys love drama so much . I guess that's the only reason you watch nascar . I've always watched it for the amazing ability and skills of these drivers to adapt to anything thrown at them .
Indy is the ultimate trophy. I'm a NASCAR fan since 1990 but I watched Indy 500 in the 70s as a kid. I love Indy as much as Daytona
3 yrs ago, before I was a nascar fan..all knew about Nascar was: Daytona, Talledaga and Indy. Nice to see the Oval coming back.
The frustrating season of 2024 continues but when to push comes shove I am always in Kyle Busch's corner.
IMO, it's hard to leave the Bristol night right out of the Crown Jewel category. I run into people who don't watch Nascar and they always bring up 3 races. Daytona 500, Talladega, and Bristol night race.
Hi Eric Estepp I never miss a single episode😊
Race tier list looks good to me. I would have added the Roval (love it or hate it) it is very unique. Especially with the Indianapolis and Daytona road courses gone.
I’m going to my first brickyard race this weekend
Cool to see Michigan made your list. Now I’m more excited, since I’ll be there.
Kyle sounding “loose and laidback” as you say sounds to me like he feels his season is over. There is zero fire burning over at RCR right now 🔥 Hope they can turn it around 🤞
I agree with your list except swap fall martinsville and Chicago street course. That grandfather clock is really shiny and historic
I really like the Chicago race. Somehow it has the feel of the Monte Carlo Race with FI . The tall building, the lake front nearby , ect. It would be interesting if it could happen without the rain causing issues.
Brickyard is not a crown jewel. We are a guest in that racetrack. I will die on this hill.
I've been a fan for nearly 30 years and I have never personally considered the Brickyard 400 to be a crown jewel. Indy is wonderful, but the racing is subpar. There's a reason why TV ratings fell off so hard in it's later years, it just wasn't good racing. Its great that the drivers love it, but man is it boring to watch. It's a race I normally skip.
I would definitely put Cota in the very unique tier, it has quickly become one of my favorite races of the year and being the newest track on the schedule I think gives it a much different feel then a lot of the other races
Eric Estepp please can you cover and touch on why Bubba is placed as finishing 9th when I watched him finish 5th after that weird late caution in today's race
Dale Sr. Called the brickyard a crown jewel back in the 90's it's one of the best
Watkins Glen is a crown jewel to me. Oldest NASCAR track with both left and right turns.
Bristol rn fits well into Really Shiny. But the Bristol Night Race in August, THAT was a Crown Jewel, then Nascar took it away
I appreciate all the Midwest love on the grid, Indy, Chicago, and Michigan. I was not expecting that! 👍
We are going to Talladega in Oct. Are you going to be there Eric? We would love to meet you!! Personally, I'd put ATL higher up. Couple reasons.. home state, first track Ive ever visited, Suarez's 3 wide win.
Kyle Busch in post race interviews has been in "Everything's great" mode most of this year, I know he and Pat Macafee are friends, so maybe being on his show made him feel more comfortable to speak his mind openly than in the immediate aftermath of the race. But good to see rowdy beig rowdy, really hope he gets a win before the year is out (maybe today at the brickyard?)
Can’t believe kansas didn’t make the groovy grid!
Daytona 500, Coke 600, Southern 500, Talladega.
Nascar said it once: the biggest, longest, oldest, fastest. The true Winston Million.
Bristol night race and old Brickyard 500.
Rcr showed their real colors no matter what they do in front of the cameras now.Creed didn’t deserve being treated like he was, that showed all a person needs to see to know
I actually agree on your list but shocked Chicago street race was that high
Regardless of the tire debacle and lackluster racing in the previous gen cars, the Brickyard at Indianapolis Motor Speedway is the 2nd most prestigious race to win. Behind the Daytona 500, of course
Return of KFB. Love it. I hope he gets a win this year and can drive up front soon instead of back in the peanut gallery.
The summer Daytona race is in the really shiny category for me but other wise I agree
4:50 KB was also in the POINTS LEAD after Atlanta if I remember correctly
Pocono needs to be higher its a very fun stressful track that exposes the emotions of all drivers. Also shows you what the drivers and cars can really do. Pocono needs to have 2 races during the season early season and mid season racing
I'm a Hendrick former employee and biggest fan. I love Kyle. Actually both of them. Busch is his own guy and does his own thing. He just called his shot like Babe Ruth. He's my last favorite driver that hasn't retired. I'm old so this is the second generation of drivers I've had to replace with newer drivers
This is the first time I’ve ever heard anyone talk really good about Michigan
Agree I am going to the brickyard, and I think that indianapolis is a crown jewel. Also, if you are going to the race, it will be cool to see you in person
Only in the winner list. But I think more of Daytona 500, World 600, Winston 500, and Southern 500. then the All star Race, Second Daytona race, Bristol Night race, The Clash, Atlanta 500, and the Brickyard. There is my top 10.
I like KFB in the villain role, I just wish RCR would give him a worthy chariot. KFB was a main reason IMS switched back to the oval. He was very outspoken every time he came to the Indy road course. Last season he went off on a tangent how they took a crown jewel off the schedule for another road course.
Absolute insanity NASCAR did not penalize the 7. And you know damn well those fuckers are gonna cut Kyle when he gets him back too
P.s. dear Eric, mind you, this conversation with Busch took place during the week, several days after he got wrecked, so of course he's going to appear much more relaxed versus how he conducted himself after his fight with Stenhouse, for example.
Kyle should've said.
"I don't blame lajoie, I would've done the same."
KB has been a Pyle os in my book since he wreck Hornaday under caution in the truck race..
I was at work listening to F1 practice and when it ended, Pat came on with KFB and I listened to that live 😂
I feel like Kansas HAS to be on this list somewhere, probably on unique or shiny. The spring race has been the best race of the year for the past two years and it's not even close.
Honestly i would be ok if they had both the Indy road course and the Brickyard
Chicago doesn't have the pristige to be amongst those races. Definately sub for Atlanta
I am surprised that you didn’t put the 1st Darlington date on your list even though it’s not that big it’s Darlington the track to tough to tame
You put Chicago and LA coliseum over Bristol night race.... What about Dover and Richmond? I love those races more then Chicago and coliseum race, plus the fact Bristol, Dover and Richmond all have been in this sport for a long time all with great racing.
Lest we forget the Goodyear 400? That could fit in Really Shiny or Very Unique. Hard to think of any races outside of the Crown Jewels or season finale that garner as much pre-race attention and build-up. Certainly no other mid-season race receives as much attention months in advance as the Darlington Throwback event, and it's certainly a prideful win for drivers and teams as the sport's past is recognized. Plus, if Martinsville, Talladega, Daytona and Atlanta get both races on the list, certainly the most challenging oval in the world deserves a slot for their second event.
Question for you: before Gen7, would you have ranked the ROVAL on your list? When the quality of the road course show declined with Gen7, that venue took a sharp decline in popularity, where before it still felt new and exciting - and the teams all really wanted to win there as it was a home race for most of them. Conversely, where Kansas was falling out of favor before Gen7, does it now deserve a spot with its newfound entertainment value?
The way Kansas has raced recently, in my opinion has become a race to watch. It may not be in the upper tier. however, the racing is very good there. I understand it is a cookie cutter mile and a half, but the racing is really good
Welcome to the Pat Mcafee show. He brings out the best of the few drivers who will go on the show. Bonus he has history with Busch! Win-win....
Especially if they move it to May when it’s green and pretty out there
Seriously Bristol night race is a crown jewel imo
I dont really like Stenhouse, but the dude's got my respect for Danica Patrick. I didnt ever see it,but damn dude. Killer job on wrecking that
