      I miss when the show had more variety and was more of a bunch of crazy doofuses hilariously exploring the world.
      I've watched almost none of the show as it's gone all-in on the NFL, which is completely justified because the business is obviously there.

    My grandad is a world renowned hunter. 92 years old, regular guy. Not rich, not poor, but been around a long time and is one of the best people I know. He’s got a handful of famous friends. I remember eating breakfast with Bobby Allison several times as a kid. Many of you won’t know who I’m talking about. Anyway, one of his hunting buddies in Tennessee is best friends with Tony Stewart and Tony lived in his basement for a long period of time at the height of his career. (I believe around the time the accident happened) He could’ve been at one of his properties, ranches, or overseas, but he’s a regular ass dude. He’d rather be out of the eye of the media chillin with his homies. He would just show up at dirt tracks without notice and race. Dude seriously has racing in his blood. Class act, and is just as normal as you and me.

Even then he lived in North Carolina and would come to Hueytown just to visit.

    Tony was never the most talented driver when he was in USAC, but he was damn sure the most competitive guy out there. He was always willing to make whatever adjustments he needed to win. It was the basis of his versatility. Early in his career, he tended to over drive the car. When he drove the Glen Neibel V6 in Silver Crown, he had to learn to be smooth to take advantage of the characteristics of that car. That unleashed his talent, and the rest is history.

    • @SirMan48
      @SirMan48 11 місяців тому

      Not so sure I'd agree or disagree. Tony was good enough and hungry enough in any racing discipline. His NASCAR career is a perfect example. Tony Stewart and Jimmie Johnson were the dominant forces of NASCAR from 2002-2010. As far as talent goes, Johnson's was just better suited for a stock car. And to your point about Tony in USAC, he wasn't THE best talent...but he was talented enough to win, and win championships and that's the bane of Tony's career. If you broke his talent down to a letter grade, he is an A- in ANY racing discipline.
      Tony is the best American race car driver of all time.

    Stuart legit loves racing. He would go to Madera Speedway where I grew up in central california to race whatever dumb ass little cars there too. Guy loves to race.
