The vents front of the doors are actually real, they let air out.
The vents on the fenders are not fake, they let the air out !
They're functional.
Great Review by the way. I been driving mine now for about 3 months and done 6,000 miles in it. What a great car. I cannot fault it. It gets a lot of looks on the road and starts a lot of conversations at petrol stations. I still cannot believe that despite my high mileage, I have not seen another one on the road yet anywhere in the UK. FYI on long motorway runs it delivers 34 mpg no problem.

They side vents are functional, and the reflector at the rear corner is required by law (at least in this country) they just incorporated the reflector into the tail lamp assembly.
For some reason, Audi, BMW & Mercedes are so ridiculously overpriced in Australia that the Kia is a no-brainer. The other alternative is a Lexus but they seem to spend all of the money on sound-proofing and paint quality which aren't always everyone's priority.

I really like this car and seriously have it on my list for my next car in a year's time - its something different on the road which is a appealing to me. However I am holding on just a bit longer to see what Infinity do with the next generation Q50 coming next year

The vents in the fenders are not fake. That is where the air exits from the front intake vents to cool the brakes.
The massive reflector I think comes from the original concept car several years ago
Here's my opinion: most people bought BMW Mercedes and Lexus because of reputation and what their peers and the auto industry deemed the upper echelon.... so KIA cant breakthrough with a better car because of the past?! BS in my book. I bought a Stinger GT because i didnt want what everyone else already has in reference to bmw etc. The stinger performs just as well if not better than the competition. Im happy with my lease n i saved $10k lol

Incidentally, what average fuel economy are you getting? Is it really 17.7mpg - that is a deal breaker for many but the overall price plus 7 year warranty probably evens it all out.
Try a mic volume that is higher!
Cost was not an issue when I bought my GT1 AWD, I was looking for performance and the Stinger delivers except the steering could be a little more responsive

Just found this video, the only fake vents are the ones on the hood (it was a design element they liked) the others are real and functional
They just felt and looked a bit plastic to be real
Nice down to earth review mate. I used to be a “badge snob” ....not any more. I fully intend to buy a Stinger ASAP . Has to be a red one so the phallic reflectors visually disappear. : )

Took a red one for an hour and a half test drive Saturday. It still flew even with 277kgs of passengers + me ! ; )
Living in sunny, snow free AZ, would you recommend RWD or AWD Stinger GT?

Why do reviewers talk about horsepower, miles, gallons and cubic feet? Why don't they adopt the International System of units (SI). It should be kilowatts, kilometres, litres and cubic metres.

I think they may have tried a little too hard at the styling, it seems like they wanted to outdo the BMW M5 with the aesthetics
It also feels like they have purchased one of each of the competition and copied a lot of the builds

Kia needs to stay in their lane and stick to what they are good at which is cheaply made inexpensive college student cars. This will never be an RS7 or CLS AMG or RS400 its garbage. KIA performance is like prius luxury it just doesnt make sense.. Just know that if you own one youre being laughed at by real car enthusiasts and good luck finding a place to park at the car meets LMAO you can put icing on a turd and its still a piece of sh*t.
