Hope everyone enjoyed the video! Let me know if you would own the Stinger below! Also a note: I said 7 speed transmission and it’s an 8 speed... who gave me a job doing this anyway...
Very good review and take on the Stinger. We got one (a GT2 in the US in that awesome red) a few months ago and love it! We took it on a 1,500 mile road trip and it's an amazing GT car, so comfortable and got 3 MPG over the highway estimate surprisingly. We've owned BMW, Porsche and Audi and the Stinger holds it's own. We just got a free set of Harman Kardon wireless headphones today from Kia for being one of the first to own the car. Thanks Kia!
Got a chroma red gt limited. Do i regret? Nope this is the best car i have ever owned. Well then again my previous cars were cadillac srx and genesis coupe. Sorry to disappoint kia haters but i am not embarassed :)
Throttle House I own a black stinger and I love it. I wouldn't have it any other way. I owned a Kia optima and a Lexus 250. I must say, I'll buy the stinger 10 times over.
I have driven and ordered the GT V6. Let me put it this way, I live in Germany and have had Audi, Mercedes and currently a VW GTI. None of the mentioned cars offer a 7 year warranty, which tells me that the Koreans are pretty sure about their quality!? I don't care for badges, I care about the feeling the car gives me and the KIA Stinger has definitely stung me!
Yup only thing with Kia's is just do the oil changes when they tell you and keep receipts and they're fairly good about it. Know someone who they gave a brand new engine to for free at 45,000 miles
I own a Toyota that came with a 3 year warranty because if you need a 7 year warranty to feel good about buying a car then you bought 1/2 of Toyota quality . Gee I wonder if a Kia can get 337,000 miles like my Toyota? Nope. #trollin
2 years ago Kia wasn't even a thought. Last year even. Then I decided about 5 months ago to test drive the GT. After that, I didn't care at all that it was a Kia. The car was nice in every way. That's how I judged it. How it looked, drove and felt. It is a great car and I got one.
Seriously? Kia and Hyundai have upped their game for a few years now. Anyone who still assume these cars are clunkers are probably wondering where their carburetor is located.
I agree. They apperently hired engineers from BMW and AUDI, if I am correct... But their recent lineup, is great. A friend that works at a KIA dealer, said they are seeing record sales. Stingers are number 4 seller at the dealer (they did not receive a lot of them), Sorrento: 1, Soul: 2, Optima: 3, Stinger: 4, Forte: 5. I Can't wait to see the future of Kia/Hyundai. (2020+). I feel like they will bring a more powerful sports car (They have a 5.0 V8 in their K900!)
phych, you don't follow residual values. The Kia/Hyubdais drop significantly after 3 yrs, vs the Japanese brands. They do not hold value at all. Especially when I have some $50k Stinger GT's for $38k, on sale. Huge discounts devaluate the brand. At the end of the day it is still a Kia. No thanks.
MasterCarguy44 The resales are still low because 95% of Kia’s that get resold are still those older clunkers. Add that the reputation has only just started to improve also we hurt resale amongst those non-car people as well. Resale is a stupid way to judge a car. You judge a car on its merit, not its predecessors. This thing IS a an excellent, mechanically sound car, on its own merit. You’re a badge snob & that’s a really stupid way to judge things.
It's time to stop saying "is like", "feels like" ect... the badge on the car doesn't matter, if it drives good, feels good and looks good then that's just what it is A GOOD CAR!!!
I want to chime in here. Dont know the age of any of you, but when I was growing up in the 60s and 70s, Datsun now Nissan, Toyota and Honda were the biggest pos on the road, and look what they became. Kia and Hyundai are no different. If you look at the engineers of Kia and Hyundai, you'll find that they all have designed cars for the prestigious car makers in the world. Look up Peter Schryer(sp), he engineered and developed the Stinger. I own two Stinger GT2's, one red and one blue, his and hers, and these cars are pure beasts. Even at stock they are beasts, I've chipped both of mine to over 400 hp, and now they're monsters. What I'm saying here is knock it off with the past stigma, Both Kia and Hyundai are very well engineered and excellent automobiles now.
As a stinger owner, no. You shouldn't be embarrassed. Man this car gets more attention than any car in its price range. Regular people will come up to you asking what car it is, being shocked to hear its a Kia. I love this car so much.
Only one thing changes perceptions, and that's evidence. Not marketing, not hype, but constant, repeatable clearly visible real world evidence. The Stinger is proving itself, just needs time on the market.
That's a really smart and a strong point. I believe Kia will become like Infiniti in a few years because of what you said. The question is, will they create a sub-brand name like Nissan did with Infiniti or just leave it with Kia.
Kia is not going to shake it. Not a49 k anyway. A friend got 12 k off the loaded one and so can you.Dont pay anywhere near the Msrp. You can get 7k off the 4cyl.
Fully loaded 2018 Kia Stinger GT2 AWD (designed by former Audi TT designer Peter Scheyer and engineered by Albert Biermann, former VP of BMW M) with 365 HP has an MSRP of 52K . In September, I got mine for 44K. The Audi A7 STARTS at 68K, 340 HP. BMW STARTS at over 70K at 335 HP. Porshe Panamera starts at 85K with 330 HP. Mercedes CLS starts at 69K with 369 HP. And the Kia has a 10 year, 100K mile power train warranty and 5 year 60K mile bumber to bumper. None of the others are close in warranty. And Kias are actually reliable (which is why they offer such warranties). So, pay for the badge (more likely lease), I paid for the car.
@@Brian-hw9vl well, those cars you mentioned are in a different class. I really like the new Supra, and I wouldn't mind owning both. The Stinger is a good value for its class. Jim's got a point about the warranty too. German cars are wonderful when they're working, but appallingly expensive to repair and maintain.
I'm not quire sure a 6 series hatchback is really in the Kia's class, it's probably closer to a 3 series GT or the 4 series sedan? Regardless, at $70k, I'd take an M3 over a Stinger GT2 because in my obituary, "died in his M3" reads better than "died in his Kia". That being said, BMW's warranty is short compared to most other companies, and the only reason I bought one is because I love how it drives. I preferred it to everything else I test drove (I test drove the whole class, and while Audi was solid it looks too much like a bar of soap). The AWD of the Kia isn't something to overlook, and as a daily driver the reliability and notable comfort/feature gain of the Kia vs the slight tradeoff in performance is a no-brainer. To be honest, I'd rather just do a barebones BMW and buy a second car for features and comfort (maybe I grab a nicely accessorized Stinger lolol). I've since learned (despite everyone's warning) that features in a BMW are simply problems waiting to happen later on down the road. In terms of reliability: I got a new turbo in my BMW at 40k, new transmission at 70k and had to do timing chain assembly replacement at 75k - all under warranty, but just barely. The turbo and transmission alone would have cost half the car. Everyone's response is: you probably get in and floor it in the winter, or, you probably don't change the oil enough etc. No, I take insanely good care of my car and I don't even think about pushing it until its loosened up. I don't just wait for the oil temp to get up, I wait until it feels ready and the engine is warmed up. I'm at 90k miles now and looking at replacements; as much as I've become a BMW fanboy it's nice to know there are respectable options out there which aren't plagued by untenable tradeoffs. I'll certainly look at the Kia and the G70, though I get the feeling I'll probably just get an M2 and something else to daily drive or take on my constant trips between NJ and NH. Right now I'm leaning towards getting another Prius and slapping an M badge on the back.
I've seen this car in black in real life. It's mighty, menesing. Real low, real wide, real sharp lights, superb design. Way more impression than you get from these videos.
Katie Johnson I’m with you. Bought mine 3 months ago and absolutely no regrets. Love it! People stop me everywhere to compliment it. Now, they can’t believe it’s a Kia, but it’s fun to see their faces when tell them. Enjoy your ride!
I got a red GT2 and when I come out of restaurants I usually have at least 1 person looking at it. One time I came out and there was like 6 people standing around it checking it out. I've had people wait for me in parking lots after shopping just to ask me about it. People have followed me to my parking spot at work to ask me about it. If you hate attention, don't get a Stinger. BTW not a single person said anything bad about it being a KIA. NOT ONE!
Katie Johnson Well, David Tremblay, I guess if I was the kind of person that was so insecure that I cared what people thought of my car purchase, especially strangers laughing behind my back, then that might matter. But I’m not and I don’t. All I ever get are compliments and accolades from people. So you may go somewhere else with your negativity.
I test drove one today... this car is an absolute beast. I don't own one, but I would pick this any day over all other cars i can think of in the same price range including luxury vehicles in the used market.
Ive driven one and the moment you hit the gas pedal youl instantly realize its worth the 50k price.Handles amazing aswell and has very nice steering feel. The high end power is unbelievable I was more impressed with the power from a 40 roll then in the takeoff.I prefer the genesis g80 sport because im more of a luxury person but I can see why people would buy this especially after driving it.
Yeah I disagree, almost the same price of a m2 or a used he’ll cat or zl1 and it’s well a Kia ... a lot of fake cents everywhere and plastic, glad you folks like it, and yes it’s pretty fast 👍
Just traded my BMW Z4 for a stinger GT1. I'm 50 years old and this is the best car ever owned and I've owned a lot of cars. Can't wait to drive it every day. Really fun, really fast and well-built. A real comfortable sport car to drive.
Great Car! Bought the GT2 AWD (top of the line) in late September and I absolutely love it! It checks off everything I look for in a car: It's gorgeous, it's fast, it has AWD, it's a true GT, it has 4 doors with good room in front and back, it's a hatchback providing really good cargo space, and it has all the bells and whistles for safety as well as comfort. And I got it for 45K out the door.
BMW owner here. Seen a few KIA Stingers around and they sure do look nice and get great reviews. I'm going to wait though a few years and sew what corners they cut as any potential issues come to light (oe not). But brand new, they are an eye catcher!
I saw this car in person a couple days ago and I was completely caught off guard by the build quality of this car. I was indeed in a coma when it came to Kia. Wow! I am thoroughly impressed.
This is the first time I have watched your car review. I was surprised with the detail you provided for the driving dynamics. Then at the end I found you are a Canadian that made me feel proud and think this is obvious why it’s such a detail and consumer oriented video. Thumbs up and thank you for such a good take. From Edmonton, Alberta.
Looking back at this, I first started watching your videos last year. When did James start making videos with you? You guys are the best duo on UA-cam. Can't wait until you guys can get back out on the roads again.
I dont drive a Kia but it is funny to see people say "It's a Kia" meanwhile Kia and Hyundai are so strong in the US that they kissed companies like Suzuki bye bye. I'm car shopping already for when my lease with Honda is over and the Stinger is in my top 5 options for replacement.
Kia has really been stepping up it’s game lately, with the Telluride and the new Stinger GTS with Drift Mode! I would definitely buy one of these, regardless of the badge!
Spot on review dude. Very comprehensive! I've spent a lifetime in the auto industry, you covered every single base. Well done. I'm definitely subscribed for more! And as a Stinger Owner, your review was literally my ownership experience. I've owned 56 cars in my short years on the planet so far, this one definitely ticks 90% of my boxes. Nicely done! If you're ever in Chicago, first round of beer is on me. I might even let you drive to the bar! 😎
I definitely agree with his comment on the comfort seat. I had a test drive Stinger for short distance, I felt the seating position and the seat so comfortable. could be the best choice for long distant drivers.
2 weeks ago I bought a 2019 Stinger GTS here in Oklahoma. It's the performance-spec limited edition, 1 of only 3 delivered to Oklahoma and 1 of only 800 world-wide. 100% real-wheel drive. Bright orange with carbon fiber trim, red Brembos running on Michelin Pilot Sport tires. Alcantara sport steering wheel. I've spent the last 10 years in Germany, owning a couple different Mercedes, an Audi and driving BMW's and a Porsche on the Autobahn. Absolutely no other car has brought such joy and excitement to me as this Stinger! It's incredible. Anyone with a heartbeat is turning and staring or asking questions. I need to start putting money aside now for new tires!
BJ Haines I am thinking about trading my 535i F10 for a Stinger based on the positive reviews from enthusiasts! Stinger seems like a better option than a 440 or A5 and looks better! Enjoy yours
You make the best reviews. I’m not one to review reviews. You’re very straightforward and detailed! No annoying jokes tacky music over explaining etc. thanks! I’m getting one of these, you sold it!
I own a 2018 Kia stinger GT AWD 3.3TT Upgraded intercooler Lap3 uncle chip performance tune Upgraded the plugs K&N intakes Catch can Borla kat back Eibach springs /sway bars Race chip pedal programmer It moves. Stock it kicks ass. I have audi and bmw owners break their neck to look at the car. Believe me quick car and well equipped
D Dubs if you actually believed all that nonsense then you wouldn’t feel the need to justify yourself. It’s obvious you’re a little embarrassed paying that much for a Kia...lmao
Just bought one actually, it gets to me on Wednesday! I'm your typical Subaru WRX driver all grown up with kids. I wanted something like my WRX that can be used for family stuff but also be fun. I do currently have 2 cars - my modded WRX and an old Outback as a beater. I considered replacing the WRX with a 996 or 997 Porsche 911 or replacing the outback with a used Tesla Model S. I ended up with the stinger because I actually like it better than the 996/997 911 AND better than the original Tesla Model S. It's that good and able to replace BOTH the WRX and Outback lol. I'm stoked.
Have had my GT2 since early Spring. Very happy with it. The only thing I wish was that I had a different color. Long story, but that is my own fault. Nice video.
Nice to see a review completed by a Canadian. If I hadn't ordered my RS5 this car certainly would have been on my short list. It has what I need, power, AWD, hatchback and great looks. My 2018 RS5 is missing the hatch but has the power and great looks. Thanks for your excellent review. Keep up the great work. I subscribed.
Norm T Not sure about the door frame and sunroof, but one of the big issues of the Stinger was the hatch rattling, which you can get fixed up for free at a dealer.
I have a RWD stinger in Australia, and the roads are not great, you are right about the back end feeling a little uneasy on bumpy turns. Other than that it’s a great tourer. Nice review by the way.
I own a Kia Forte GT Line, and I must say, it’s a REALLY solid car. I’d give it a 9/10. Near perfect score. The only thing I can complain about is the power being a TINY bit underwhelming. But overall, great car!
As an owner of one, I'll add a few details.. the lane keep assist is one of the best out there, but if you do hardly move the steering wheel yourself for a while, it'll think you're not touching it and turn off untl it senses you've taken control of the wheel.. which is dumb, cause if you had a heart attack, it should keep doing that forever... but it doesn't, even though I shut that off... adaptive cruise, even on the closest distanc settings, backs off too early for my liking.. should be min. .6 -1 sec. closer in driving times., but it does work well in closer traffic and it does bring you to a full stop and go again when traffic moves... oh lane keep assist does beep and push you back in the lane.. I like that. where some only beep or not beep but push you back.. not allowing both at the same time..... info screen is very good and touch features are good quality and work well.. unlike Subaru's shitty touch screen. Great Review !! I agree with all that you said. It really really really is an awesome vehicle and competes with All Fancy brands up to $80K... and beats many of them, to boot !! badge snobs, don't believe me or Thomas ? Go test drive one. oh, on an 180 off ramp near me, I can take it and end up at 94kph before braking.. enter it around low 80's and accell. a bit thru the turn (in 3rd gear revving strong) and pull up to low to mid 90's kph.. in sport mode of course... and it does over steer a bit, so I keep taking same turn so I can learn it and do it smoother... and managed mid 80's with winter tires... That's Handling a curve baby !! Ps.. agree with the bit of a bump thing in a curve... but doesn't loose it. just a bit bumpy shift but still stays hunkered and grips
Huh? I didn’t say there was one. At about 2:08 I say “thanks to THOSE twin scroll turbochargers...”. Did I say one turbo somewhere else in the video? I mean it’s possible... I DID say it has the wrong number of gears so clearly I’m a nincompoop.
I got a slightly used 2018 GT Limited a couple of weeks ago from a Canadian Kia dealer, for not a lot of money, and absolutely love it ! One test drive convinced me instantly.
I haven't had a chance to go for a drive in one, but I see them on the road all the time here in Australia and they look bloody awesome. It's not quite the car I need for my family at the moment but one day it might be something we will look at buying.
Ask the same question to ppl who spent $60k+ on VW's pheaton... Best to negotiate (hard) if it is too much coin...value is a matter of perspective and depends on what the owner is going after...
I am not a badge snob, no where I would rather spend 50K right now than a Kia or Genesis dealership. The hardest decision would be between a Stinger GT or G70 3.3T. Now, if I only had 50K to spend on a vehicle. FYI, Car and Driver just had a phenomenal review on the G70. The determining factor for me any way, would probably come down to the versatility of the Stinger's liftback configuration, even though I like the lighter weight and style of the Genesis G70 slightly better.
@@GoofieNewfie I think that had more to do with putting the power down adequately enough with rwd. I am willing to bet the awd version will be a rocket.
I have an AWD GT2 Stinger and yes, rocket is the correct way to describe it. The G70 with the same mods with lighter weight can only be faster. I wanted the hatch though, and I like the looks of the Stinger a little better.
I have a Canadian AWD GT Limited and with the Eibach sway and spring kit that car is an incredible driving and cornering machine. With a correct alignment spec for the lowered version, it's unstoppable around corners. My only complaint is the lack of refinement in the interior and you really can't feel much of a difference when changing the suspension settings from sport to comfort. Otherwise, this car leaves me with a smile every single time I drive it.
Ha, in your dreams mate. I've raced these Stingers in my 335i and they've all eaten my dust! Hope to see you on the road so I can put your shitty KIA in its place. My rear view mirror
@@GaryDownes lololol is your bmw stock or did you do some work? If its stock i will take your offer. Lol ridiculous statement. Your 335 cant even beat a is350.
I love my stinger ,I've had it 10 months, installed a new borlla Exhaust, also installed cold air intake, so that has improved the performance immensely, I will put it up against any GT car ....
If u have the chance to buy one of these I would 100% recommend it. It's a nice car in both performance and aesthetics. My friend replaced the Kia badges with other badges so it didn't look like a Kia
I live in Australia and I would by one in a heart beat. People need to not worry about the badge but look at its attributes. Hey this is a brand new car with great achievements already, Its actually quite scary to think 5 years down the track what the speed of this new hero car will produce. Well done Kia.
Market reacts faster than people's mind. Some people bragged about buying this thing when the price cutting half but I don't think it's happening anytime soon.
I would say so. Since a lot of dealers are offering incentives, it would be silly to pay full price lol. I’ve seen a lot around the 40-45k range. The stingers are just not selling as well as Kia hoped.
Plenty of people are paying $50+ for the Stinger GT (1&2), you just gotta know how to bring it down. I myself paid $45,350 OTD for my Stinger GT1 AWD, whereas with sticker + the options I threw in should have been $53k OTD. Most dealers know you can ask to see the invoice cost and offer that for the car and they will agree, then you haggle from there. But most car buyers aren't aware of the invoice trick so they never know to ask, they usually assume you have to pay MSRP. You don't. Those of us who are getting our Stinger GT's for $45k know what to ask, whereas there are plenty of people who don't know and happily pay $50+ for the Stinger.
VR43000..... I disagree with your opinion and comment. Dealerships cheat people most of the time or when they can. If you don't like the hours and the customers then change jobs. If dealerships wanted to be fair and treated with respect and kindness then they would put a fair sales price on all cars and just not negotiate period! Does Chick-Fil-A negotiate the price of their food? Or any other restaurant? .... I do agree if you came into my business, whatever it might be and asked to see my invoice, I would just say NO. Then I might ask, Can I see your checkbook and savings accounts? Yes, I think that is rude and crude but the Dealerships started this war with their unfair practices. Do you think it is fair to sell the same car to 6 different people for 6 different prices? In the same day with the same circumstance in all the deals? I worked at a Chevy dealership for a while and was a service writer. They even treated people differently with warranty claims because they could get by with it more often than not! .... And there does or did exist at least one dealership in South Georgia that sales cars with the one price take it or leave it. I have bought two cars from them myself and known several other people to buy from them They only sold GM and Ford back then but I am not positive they are still open. I wanted to buy another GM product from them back in 1996 but the Chev model I ordered came in twice with defects from the factory and I have not bought any GM model since. I refused the two cars and didn't even want them to make the repairs to correct the problems. I felt like if a new car shows up to the customer and has visual and mechanical problems, what is everything else going to be like with the car down the road?
Why can’t anyone else get enthusiast oriented car reviews right? You guys nail it EVERY time! No one does it as well as you guys and you’re intelligently humorous and clever as well. I will never consider another car again until I see a review from Throttle House, no kidding. As far as the Korean car question goes; I remember when Japanese cars came to the States and met a similar initial resistance. They have learned the game well and it’s to our benefit that genuinely good enthusiast cars are coming at great prices. I say, Bravo 👏 Korea! Bravo👏👏👍
I would buy the Stinger...great for a daily!! No SUV for me, need something more zippy. Waiting for the 2019 Atlantica coming out in the USA. That is....If I can get details from the dealers?
Patty B you are so right. I bought a 2018 Sorento V6 in November, I tried to do the truck thing but couldn’t handle it. I gave my wife my new Sorento and Bought a Stinger GT AWD. Loving it, driving is fun again.
Only 500 being made .... Good luck! I love the upgrades coming such as 360* camera, wireless charging etc.....hopefully in future all Stinger GT will have full equipment line...
2022 KIA Stinger GT2 AWD Ceramic Silver Scorpion 🦂 Edition!!! It's modified. Pushing 530HP to the Motor 450 to the Wheels 515 LBS of Torque. It's very very fast. Looks amazing 👏 😍 !
The changed the warranty I picked one up 168 miles on her Gt for 29k with 150k 10 year warranty fun little car mine just a little 4 cylinder with the twins . It is also very Comfortable
Bro you need to test the RWD version with less optioned Genesis G70 it weighs 500 lbs less than the AWD Stinger. It performs virtually equal if not faster than a BMW M4 at the road course circuit. Find a RWD stripped down version of G70 and put your race driver for some lap time and compare against a '18 Stang GT 5.0 10 spd auto you will be surprised.
its funny because, i sell these and people are like "kia" isnt sporty or luxury. i respond what makes a car luxury premium leather, wood, a powerful engine, nice touches bc damn near every make and model has those options? if thats the case a 1996 impala is a luxury car. The stinger is an awesome car. The taurus sho still stickers for $47k+ the stinger 2.0 stickers for about $32 and the gt stickers for around 39k+
Couple reviews of the RWD stinger are great. Apperently they tested it in snow and it performed exceptionally well with the standard tires Kia puts on.
"I really wish we could get the rear wheel drive here in Canada" and I'm sitting here in Australia saying I wish I could get the AWD! 😂 I just love the traction and being able to beat pretty much everything off the lights with an AWD haha
got the 2020 gt1. fun car, no matter what other people comment about the badge. did a 1am drive going home, barely cars around. the stinger did most of the driving with its adaptive cruise control and lane keep assist. it was around 1.5 hr drive and i was not tired when i got home. also, with the dealers, my experience was better. and i got the price down to 40k with the paint protection package. maybe if buyers are actually nice, and you got a nice sales person, you can get a good deal too.
You probabley can talk people down on the price. I would love to have one. It is a nice car and people should stop looking at a name and start looking at how the car handles. It even looks really nice
They just released a 2019, and have 2020 in the works as well. They also said they will keep the Fusions in the future line-ups, but will change it up.

G70 review? Where is it?
I have reviewed it yes. Look back about 5 videos.
Meh, Germans aren't renowned for making great decisions.
Yup only thing with Kia's is just do the oil changes when they tell you and keep receipts and they're fairly good about it. Know someone who they gave a brand new engine to for free at 45,000 miles
Same here!!
I own a Toyota that came with a 3 year warranty because if you need a 7 year warranty to feel good about buying a car then you bought 1/2 of Toyota quality . Gee I wonder if a Kia can get 337,000 miles like my Toyota? Nope. #trollin

The real question is should you be embarrased to spend 100k on a Dodge 🤔!!!!
Bry Guy my thoughts exactly.

Only one thing changes perceptions, and that's evidence. Not marketing, not hype, but constant, repeatable clearly visible real world evidence. The Stinger is proving itself, just needs time on the market.
I disagree. Look at Cadillac with their ATS-V and CTS-V. Poor sales volume yet excellent cars. Brand image is extremely difficult to shake off.
So, pay for the badge (more likely lease), I paid for the car.
clarification, the BMW price I referenced was for a BMW 6 Series Hatchback
@@Brian-hw9vl well, those cars you mentioned are in a different class. I really like the new Supra, and I wouldn't mind owning both. The Stinger is a good value for its class. Jim's got a point about the warranty too. German cars are wonderful when they're working, but appallingly expensive to repair and maintain.
Cool story bro😂 thanks.
Hahaha! Nice comparison.
Stinger GT is a BEAST!!!!
I love mine!! Would buy it over and over again! I get complimented daily on it!!
no they laugh at you when you leave
NOT ONE!
The only people who have something bad to say are on youtube.
I'm the same way. I've been looking hard at the G80s and G90s. I like the Stinger quite a lot too, so I'm going to add that to my test drive list.

I bought one and the only downside is people keep trying to race me and I just want to drive to work :(

Looking back at this, I first started watching your videos last year.

The Stinger leans more towards comfort but if you want it to lean more towards performance, a rear anti-roll bar makes a considerable difference.

I have a Canadian AWD GT Limited and with the Eibach sway and spring kit that car is an incredible driving and cornering machine.
We paid 45k for ours brand new. Plenty of people are buying the loaded stinger gt.
Never pay MSRP... never
Got my GT1 for less than $40k :)
Chuckles9191991 thanks for the confirmation of my thinking, zippy = fun...Can’t wait to see the 2019!
Only 500 being made ....
Good luck! I love the upgrades coming such as 360* camera, wireless charging etc.....hopefully in future all Stinger GT will have full equipment line...
I heard that the Atlantica was cancelled completely
@@GameShowFan9001 yeah I think 19 gets 360 cam, wireless charging and heated rear seats....rumor has it 2020 gets k900 instrument cluster (virtual)
Driving and hopefully buying one of these soon. Love the look and feel.
Better than spending 100k+ on a beetle.
2022 KIA Stinger GT2 AWD Ceramic Silver Scorpion 🦂 Edition!!! It's modified. Pushing
530HP to the Motor
450 to the Wheels
515 LBS of Torque.
It's very very fast. Looks amazing 👏 😍 !
Can you use regular gas in the stinger 4 or 6 cylinder?
Yes you can.
IneedMoney or a less optioned rwd stinger.
We don’t get the RWD GT in Canada..

IneedMoney it who is going to be happy paying $50,000 on car that makes creaky noises and sunroof?
I'd take the G70 over the Stinger any day
its funny because, i sell these and people are like "kia" isnt sporty or luxury. i respond what makes a car luxury premium leather, wood, a powerful engine, nice touches bc damn near every make and model has those options? if thats the case a 1996 impala is a luxury car. The stinger is an awesome car. The taurus sho still stickers for $47k+ the stinger 2.0 stickers for about $32 and the gt stickers for around 39k+
the rwd stinger is faster
yea. That AWD system makes it heavier.
Couple reviews of the RWD stinger are great. Apperently they tested it in snow and it performed exceptionally well with the standard tires Kia puts on.
Ebrake launch awd is the fastest. 4.29.😳
"I really wish we could get the rear wheel drive here in Canada" and I'm sitting here in Australia saying I wish I could get the AWD! 😂 I just love the traction and being able to beat pretty much everything off the lights with an AWD haha
38,476.04 USD. !!!
RM 320,000.00 here in malaysia
Is that a good price?
overprice
Ahh too bad.... I think it would be a great car for about $33K US. The 4 banger would be good for $25K
Thank God someone knows the start price and it comes with the brembo brakes and those awesome wheels.
got the 2020 gt1. fun car, no matter what other people comment about the badge. did a 1am drive going home, barely cars around. the stinger did most of the driving with its adaptive cruise control and lane keep assist. it was around 1.5 hr drive and i was not tired when i got home. also, with the dealers, my experience was better. and i got the price down to 40k with the paint protection package. maybe if buyers are actually nice, and you got a nice sales person, you can get a good deal too.
Worth the money, i love mine. Only spent 34k on it, bought it used with 8k miles. Tt awd model
360p club!
You probabley can talk people down on the price. I would love to have one. It is a nice car and people should stop looking at a name and start looking at how the car handles. It even looks really nice
You don’t purchase a Kia to do power slides lol
I would try and powerslide a dishwasher if it had a steering wheel
@@ThrottleHouse I tried to powerslide my Kia Soul and almost put it on its side. Had me laughing all the way home.
Why not
Open diff?!? Oh man I didn’t catch that it’s amazing that didn’t get much mention from the press, that kinda kills the spirit of this car to me
You guys should review the 2018 Fusion Sport.
Ford will stop making cars.
Why review a discontinued model/brand?
They just released a 2019, and have 2020 in the works as well. They also said they will keep the Fusions in the future line-ups, but will change it up.
@@throwaway177 they are discontinuing the Fusion. It's easy to look up. The only cars they are keeping is Mustang and Focus hatch.
I got a blue GT back in Feb, 2018. Love the car. It's a lease, coming up soon. May not keep. Still, I love the car.
Some people are claiming they have issues with the factory paint. Buyer's beware!
enticeman28 true but Kia pays for it. They repaint the whole car
@@sstyreecarlover969 is it worth going thru that hassle?
enticeman28 For fresh paint, a loaner and 5k in my pocket for the hassle? Put me down for a yes to your question.
enticeman28 I think so they give you another car to drive while they are painting it
Buyers beware😂😂😂 Jesus people act like it's the end of the world and ruin your life!!!
Sad to see that the Stinger is almost 120 000 dollars here in Norway .. Could've been a really good value
