Nice video. I would recommend a piece of beer line between the solenoid and the tank. Its not imperative BUT if the solenoid fails and gets stuck / frozen in the open position you’re gonna have a bad time getting the solenoid off and replaced ie. glycol flowing out everywhere. When i head out of town for long periods i like to use a separate homebrew pump for the tank that isnt always on. I plug the solenoid and pump plugs into a small power strip and plug that into the inkbird so the flow start and solenoid open at the same time. Patiently waiting on that brewtools temperature controller 😬😬
Great advice! Checked through your lovely Instagram to see how you did this. Yeah super smart to have the quick connect AFTER the solenoid valve to easily seal off the tank. Definitely will implement this! For the pump when you are out of town, I like this idea. That is one of my annoyances with the system straight from the box is that it is always circulating and you need a separate pump to avoid this. Great solution to this problem. Which pump do you use? I also want the controller to come out soon! 😫
@@BentGateBrewing if you want some in depth i did a couple of videos on it when i set it up. Here is the most general one. Im just using a homebrew glycol pump i got from Brewshop. You can see where i set it up at the 2:30 mark of this video. ua-cam.com/video/Bm4t3gfgBww/v-deo.html If you’re interested in the in depth of my loop system i made this one. i like it. It works really well. ua-cam.com/video/0cY4hHKNf6E/v-deo.html
I actually wanted to do that first but found there wasn't a good way with the Quantor Chiller. The pump doesn't have its own plug so it is always circulating in the line and mixing up the bath. I guess I could have bought a separate pump and ran that based on the ink bird? Fingers crossed that Brewtools will come out with a nice solution in the future to integrate better with the MiniChilly.

Awesome setup! Beast of a chiller! With just one fermenter I bet you could skip the solenoid and plug the pump into the inkbird

Great video 🍻
Thank you! Cheers!🍻
Hello! How many F150 fermenters can you cool with that chiller? Thks and congratulations for your videos!!
