    Amazing! Does the glitter get caught in the beers head and give you a nice sparkelly moustache?

    Thanks for the video. I enlarged the holes on my manifold to prevent it from clogging. I also replaced the end caps with silicone hoses that I terminate loosely in the mash bed or outside the mash basket. I used a handheld drill to enlarge the holes.Ensure to clean it thoroughly. It worked very well. Now I upgraded to the new circulation manifold.

    I have done glitter beers in the past and the best thing you can do to keep it in suspension is to use a "cocktail keg", (2 long diptubes) or use a carbonation lid, thanks for the great videos.

    Didn't realise you did your own labels till now. Currently I'm paying over a £100 for my labels (3 x 100 on a roll), ordered from a company. Definitely going to look at getting an in house printer on the back of this video. How have you found it to be? Reliable enough do you think? Really enjoying all your videos. I have a very similar setup to yours and you have some great tips that I'm trying to incorporate into my brewday. Thanks again.

    Another tip is to write the information on the bottom of the bag (the bottom seam is where I usually wrote it). That way even if the bag gets pretty low from all the times you opened it you never cut away the information of the contents.

    according to my recepies the 40l sparge is not enougth for most of my beers, how do you deal with this? I also got a B150pro :))))

    • @BentGateBrewing
      @BentGateBrewing 5 місяців тому

      We set a sparge water limit to our heater (37L) and then also set a limit on the max mash volume limit (142L) to make sure we don't overflow the basket. We have no problem with this and do constant 120-130L batches. The downside of course, if that we do have thicker mashes and have to resort to using dextrose for higher ABV batches if we want to have the desired 120L volume. Hope that helps!

    • @BentGateBrewing

      We soak the cans in a bucket of StarSan then let them drain upside down for a few minutes on a sanitized surface. You can see this in the video where I am pulling cans out of the sink (where the bucket is). Sorry we didn't go over this detail well enough. Hope this helps. We also keep the Stars decently cold so that way the cans aren't warm when filling them.

    • @BentGateBrewing
      @BentGateBrewing 5 місяців тому

      It's not too difficult to clean. We typically boil out for a while which helps a lot. If you do that plus give it some pressure (be safe!) then that usually cleans it out well. An ultrasonic cleaner is the easiest/best, but we don't have one yet :)

      Good question, the idea is to get the beer off the dead yeast ASAP and prevent off flavors from yeast autolysis. Picked that tip up from Vinnie Cilurzo, the head brewer of Russian River :)
