Update on the suggestion for “Can you beat Fallout 4 as the Silver Shroud” in the adventures, he/she seems VERY persuasive, so Charisma would need to be your highest stat, and you might need the “pacify” perk maxed out
Also, obviously getting the mod to leave calling cards would be nice. Taking every dialogue as the Shroud, using his outfit and weapon, and hunting down evil-doers. Siding with the Railroad, beating the Mechanist, etc.
Every one of my characters in F4 has had max charisma.. the game is highly geared toward that stat and it always makes sense to max it. I'd be a happy silver shroud 😅
Definitely not pacify perks, if you listen to the radio plays during the related quest he's constantly killing people, definitely not a no kill type hero, would go so far as to call him an anti-hero
This is an interesting concept for a open world game, being chased by someone who is rather too much powerful to die like mr.x or can resurrect... Like mr.x. It would add urgency to complete the main story since you could really feel the importance of the situation unlike skyrim, where the world is literally about to end if you don't do anything and yet you're free to roam around the world as much as you want.
I downloaded this mod the day it was originally released as a joke to myself and promptly forgot about it just for him to find me a few days later... he corrupted my Legion playthrough I spent 80 hours on

Gotta give you a thumbs up and a shout out just for reaching out to the author of the mod and providing a link so the rest of us do not miss out. That alone makes you glorious!
If you wanted an added challenge you could use the fallout 4 quick loot menu mod. You'd have to go through inventories in real time instead of pausing the game world with the original loot menu, giving your chasing NPCs that much more time to catch up to you while you scramble to find supplies.
Increasing the stakes eh? Fair play! But can you Beat Fallout New Vegas while being chased by Crash Man, Malcolm Holmes, Private Kowalski, Fisto, Victor, NCR Assassins, Legion Assassins, and Mister Burke, while having a gun always drawn, every addiction possible, full heavy armor, and drinking a Nuka-Cola every ingame day.
The ncr assasins would be easy. They'll just stand there trying to scare you with their "grim reaper" speech while you merc them individually and they run away.
I'd like to see the mod maker make it so that multiple crash-men spawn in the mojave at random starting locations. Bonus points if after a set amount of time (like every 10 minutes) they teleport to a certain distance from the player, again at random locations.
I think it would be interesting if the crash man had a random starting location or there were multiple crash men starting in wildly different parts of the map making every direction require extra thought
I bet the crash man is actually in the vanilla game, but he’s invisible, not targetable, and he doesn’t speak to you when he catches you he crashes the game. Ah, Bethesda Fallout
I just completed the game in a sort of "top down view" mode, where I'd set my FOV to 110 and keep the camera above my head. Of course the only way to play the game was with melee, but I beat it pretty easily. Glad to finally find a link to this mod, because I had been seeing article after article talking about it, but never could get my hands on it. Time to play New Vegas yet again!
I always thought a full game like this would be really cool. there was a racing game 12 years ago or so callef Fuel, had the biggest in game world for the time. I always thought it wuld be really neat if there was a "most dangerous game" game mode where you have to drive to different points on the map while a hunter is chasing you
3:47 they can sometimes cross it. i once met malcolm holmes while leaving ceasar's tent. they can't enter separate worldspaces though, for example freeside, strip, camp mccarran, northside, westside and south vegas.
imagine going about your day in the wasteland trying to survive, not knowing your worst enemy is a random passerby that breaks the laws and barriers of the universe itself by interacting with you
@@anakinskywalkercrappyprodu2205 how about can you beat fallout 4 while being chassed by private Kowalski? (Using mod or being chassed by someone else)
Hear me out - “Can you beat fallout new Vegas as an Irish man” - must always be under the effects of whiskey - Unarmed attacks and improvised weapons only (tin grenades, bottle cap mines, etc) - must attack the NCR on sight. Maybe the legion too, but idk. Unsure of what to do with Mr House, and other factions like the Brotherhood or Khans. Was also thinking of restricting healing to only potatoes, but those are nigh-impossible to find so probably too much. Bonus points if you voice your character in native Irish.
What about adding an addendum: As an Irishman during the troubles. Explosives are allowed as well as any gun that resembles an Armalite rifle, (bonus points if it was hidden behind a dumpster by some germans) occasionally blasting classic Irish nationalist songs.
As entertaining as these runs are, I feel like they're way too easy. The chasers are literally never an actual factor, it's just the threat of their existence that provides even a little tension. We need something that's significantly faster than you as the player. Something where you have to exploit the awful pathing just to get a head start because it WILL catch up to you eventually. Basically an SCP-096 mod.
yeah it's cool to see how fast he can get everything done, but I was expecting some interaction with the crash man somewhere. except for the funny intro there would have been no way of knowing that the crash man even existed while he was playing. would definitely be cool to see a more difficult one or the application of the moment in the intro where how he had to knock him out before he had a chance to talk.
A similar mod is NoSkyrim, a mod for people who don't want to play Skyrim. It just crashes the game on startup. It got removed from Nexus for I assume the same reason as The Crash Man for FNV- The mod includes a file that crashes the game on purpose
@@TKGaming7750 nexus needs to make a category for these kinds of mods instead of casting them into the abyss where masterpieces like these mods will never be found
Can't help but be reminded of Danny Devito being the Trash Man. And now I want some form of Trash Man run. For fallout 4 you could only use items found in Trash cans or rubbish heaps and the junk jet with Trash items, have to wear the grognak outfit like his wrestling gear etc...
@@friendbesto2599 Well NPCs can take damage from thrown objects or objects you're moving around fast enough. All you'd need is a physics enabled trash can, maybe the rock-it launcher for extra fun.
I'm pretty sure if you drag a body too far from its death spot it will disappear I did that with hauling shit in Fallout 3 not sure if it does the same in New Vegas I would assume it does cuz MANY of the mechanics are the same between the 2.
I was trying to keep track of it, and it sounds like you only ever saw him at the edge of the horizon once in this run. I wish the mod had a difficulty slider in the form of affecting how much faster he can run than a normal NPC. Still fun, however.
Id love to see a run where he actually gets the various factions to join the NCR for a change instead of blowing them sky high or in this case, turning them into paste.
Did you know that the featured character in this video, "Crash Man", was actually named for the fact that if he touches you you crash? This is a subtle reference to Fallout New Vegas's infamous bugs and inconsistent crashes. Truly master-level writing, referencing and foreshadowing. Nice job, Nerbit!
Fun fact: the crash man crashing the game was completely unscripted and improvised by the crash man himself but the creator loved it so much he made it his character
Someone needs to mod in the Pacman Ghosts (or characters equivalent to them) who all chase you, but generally follow the rules of each ghost's particular behaviours. If any of them catch you (or you run into them), then they attack and kill you with overwhelming melee damage.
I would love to see a mysterious stranger based challenge where you can only use his pistol, a fedora, detectives coat, and vats with the mysterious stranger perk.
The way you can just smack the crash man and knock him out before he speaks reminds me of Lord of the Rings. "Do not allow him to speak. He will put a spell on us."
I would have LOVED to been one of the other couriers just safely out of the path of destruction but close enough to watch this one guy cranked out of his mind on Turbo whirling a Power Hammer across the wasteland as he's being chased by an entity of untold horror.
You got this run done in such good time, but what if you had to complete a run with a lot of waiting instead? Can you beat Fallout New Vegas with only long fuse dynamite?
Can you beat Fallout New Vegas as a Enclave member. You can only use the Enclave remnant and Gannon family armor, any plasma/laser weapon, having ED-E and Arcade Gannon as companions, and destroying the NCR and Brotherhood and completing all of the Enclave Remnants quest line?
Maybe challange out of the left field, but I am curious... Can you beat Fallout 4 as a Protectron? - For added masochism, bonus objective is that you can't use Fast Travel.
No clue who that is, but probably if you are fast enough, I wonder if you can do Malcom, Kowalski,F.I.S.T.O., and The Crash Man all at once.... (Also could you beat Skyrim with weaponized junk?)
It’s funny, I recently installed the game to finally play through all the dlcs, and I actually did this challenge as well… Except there wasn’t a guy chasing me. And there wasn’t a mod.
The Crimson Caravan and Boomers ALWAYS have Combat Armor in their lockers. The BoS has Mk 2 Combat Armor in their supply room. Get it by sneaking and stealing the key off the Store Clerk. There's also 3 or 4 sets of T-45 which sells for like 4750 caps each. I'm sure you know about these places, but to those who don't know where to get some good armor, enjoy. :) Seeing as you purchased a Mk. 2 helmet, maybe this info could be useful to you? :D

Unstoppable force vs unmoveable object
wait there was an anti crash mod?
Beating NV while being chased by the Crash Man almost makes you wish for Nerbit to beat Fallout New Vegas with only a flare gun.
Basically an another pacifist run
@@TheGlenofKrokot No. Flare guns do damage, and he didn't do pacifist for the recharger rifle run.
@@ALLMINDmercenarysupportsystem this is a fucking stupid idea, btw I can tell you're like 14 I'll leave it here
@@ALLMINDmercenarysupportsystem but he knows you can play the game as a pacifist, challenge runs have been done before, and the flare gun really sucks outside of the divide
@@Runaway_can That's why it's a challenge. The recharger rifle also sucks, but he used that.
Yus
You do realise that Max rank of Intimidation is Level 50 right?
Definitely not pacify perks, if you listen to the radio plays during the related quest he's constantly killing people, definitely not a no kill type hero, would go so far as to call him an anti-hero
This video was made infinitely better to me because for whatever reason the video would randomly pause throughout. Crash man exceeded expectations.
I downloaded this mod the day it was originally released as a joke to myself and promptly forgot about it just for him to find me a few days later... he corrupted my Legion playthrough I spent 80 hours on
I hope an old save was recoverable.
@@emporer15 I made the mistake of using only one save after killing benny.. so about 5 hours in if I wanted to attempt to recover.. so not worth it.... might do a ncr run next
This is why you quicksave every other second
Serves ya right for playin legion ;)
@@Flesh-Automaton well I learned that I still have less problems with a Legion run than if I do a ncr run... I always seem to get broken quests with the ncr, or the super fun "crash when you load a zone" well I'm doing the 'run & talk' quests
13:51 is reasonable Oliver probably spent like 30 minutes trying to have a cool entrance
11:07 That juggle combo was hysterical!! My sides. That somersault Vulpes does after his leg gets shattered was Primal level of savagery.
This mod would give me the kind of anxiety I experience in real life. Kudos to you, I couldn't do this challenge.
honestly i would fail super fast because id panic
It follows
Get help. Sheesh
@@TheAdatto u2
@@Sara.Space.H i don't have anxiety
Increasing the stakes eh? Fair play!
But can you Beat Fallout New Vegas while being chased by Crash Man, Malcolm Holmes, Private Kowalski, Fisto, Victor, NCR Assassins, Legion Assassins, and Mister Burke, while having a gun always drawn, every addiction possible, full heavy armor, and drinking a Nuka-Cola every ingame day.
Also make it so you have time limit just like in Fallout 1.
we need this
MAKE THIS HAPPEN!!!
Minus a few things that might be a fun Tale of Two Wastelands challenge 🤔
The ncr assasins would be easy. They'll just stand there trying to scare you with their "grim reaper" speech while you merc them individually and they run away.
I'd like to see the mod maker make it so that multiple crash-men spawn in the mojave at random starting locations. Bonus points if after a set amount of time (like every 10 minutes) they teleport to a certain distance from the player, again at random locations.
There should be a an option for this mod that lets you kill the crash man, but he respawns in a random location every day
alternative title: can you beat fallout new vegas?
I think it would be interesting if the crash man had a random starting location or there were multiple crash men starting in wildly different parts of the map making every direction require extra thought
I bet the crash man is actually in the vanilla game, but he’s invisible, not targetable, and he doesn’t speak to you when he catches you he crashes the game. Ah, Bethesda Fallout
The mod doesn't actually add the crash man, just simply attaches a model to him so he's visible.
It just works
Ah Obsidian Fallout
NV isn't a Bethesda game
@@ssgoko88 actually it technically is because Bethesda owns the Fallout franchise and while not made by them it was published by them
I just completed the game in a sort of "top down view" mode, where I'd set my FOV to 110 and keep the camera above my head.
I always thought it wuld be really neat if there was a "most dangerous game" game mode where you have to drive to different points on the map while a hunter is chasing you
7:23 - "With the last Khan reduced to jam..."
That line is poetry.
14:16 "The added anxiety of the game crashing at any moment ..." This is different than any other run in any other Bethesda game how?
12:09 for a minute there I thought you'd said "rainforest leather armor," Which sounds like it would look pretty snazzy.
same
3:47 they can sometimes cross it. i once met malcolm holmes while leaving ceasar's tent. they can't enter separate worldspaces though, for example freeside, strip, camp mccarran, northside, westside and south vegas.
So the whole time in these runs he was safe in those areas
imagine going about your day in the wasteland trying to survive, not knowing your worst enemy is a random passerby that breaks the laws and barriers of the universe itself by interacting with you
That intro was enough for me. You've earned a new sub. You deserve it!
Also, the rest of the video was great too. I've found a new channel to watch!
Still waiting for can you beat FNV while being chased by Kowalski, Crash Man, Malcome Holmes, Fisto, and a Ham Sandwhich.
Yes
And by Victor
I've been trying to get him to do that that
@@anakinskywalkercrappyprodu2205 how about can you beat fallout 4 while being chassed by private Kowalski? (Using mod or being chassed by someone else)
And a partridge in a pear tree
Hear me out - “Can you beat fallout new Vegas as an Irish man”
- must always be under the effects of whiskey
- Unarmed attacks and improvised weapons only (tin grenades, bottle cap mines, etc)
- must attack the NCR on sight.
@@kirbyis4ever Yes!
I'd say he has to help the Khans as they aren't a fan of the NCR either.
Added challenge: Make him look like Brad Pitt
@@kirbyis4ever You should be allowed to use hand grenades but only if they've been laid by hens in jail.
A nightmare fuel can me named that mod m8
yeah it's cool to see how fast he can get everything done, but I was expecting some interaction with the crash man somewhere. except for the funny intro there would have been no way of knowing that the crash man even existed while he was playing. would definitely be cool to see a more difficult one or the application of the moment in the intro where how he had to knock him out before he had a chance to talk.
Or a relentless Deathclaw that never gives up the chase 😂
@@jollyrot3145 Hell yeah, immortal deathclaw alpha, or the matron, whichever is stronger in the quarry.
Just like the snail.
I saw the tagline and went "huh that sounds WAIT THE CRASH MAN?!" Incredible concept, I love it.
The only thing this mod needs now is for the Crash Man to play the Sonic drowning theme when he draws close
Even better if it plays the silly drowning sound from sonic boom when it crashes.
I can't believe this actually exists, amazing
A similar mod is NoSkyrim, a mod for people who don't want to play Skyrim.
It just crashes the game on startup.
It got removed from Nexus for I assume the same reason as The Crash Man for FNV- The mod includes a file that crashes the game on purpose
@@TKGaming7750 nexus needs to make a category for these kinds of mods instead of casting them into the abyss where masterpieces like these mods will never be found
"The sight of General Oliver makes me level up and turn gay" Spoken like a true American!
This sounds interesting
If only you could use a trash can as a weapon. "shit, did I get you Cricket?"
Play Fallout New Vegas as the Trash Man running from the Crash Man
@@friendbesto2599 Well NPCs can take damage from thrown objects or objects you're moving around fast enough. All you'd need is a physics enabled trash can, maybe the rock-it launcher for extra fun.

So this is the death snail, except you don’t get a million dollars to avoid him… love it.
I was not expecting that at 4:30
“I’m the crash man! I come into the ring, and I start crashing everyone!”

You can only use Ringo’s body as an inventory
I'm pretty sure if you drag a body too far from its death spot it will disappear I did that with hauling shit in Fallout 3 not sure if it does the same in New Vegas I would assume it does cuz MANY of the mechanics are the same between the 2.
@@vaulthunter7777 I think you’re right, I guess he could just use a variety of bodies. Like designer hand bags
This is kind of like the plot of "It Follows". Every second you're not running, he's getting closer
this is true
Even scarier than Mr. X and Nemesis
i guess we are truly a fallout….. new vegas
Bravo vince
Make them glowing ones that glow the appropriate colour and radaway makes them flee like a power pill in Pac-Man
@@NuclearCharm I do think there should be a Power Pill in some form. That would be hilarious. XD
I would love to see a mysterious stranger based challenge where you can only use his pistol, a fedora, detectives coat, and vats with the mysterious stranger perk.
maxxed out luck too for extra crits since the stranger is a one hit kill
We already have a Crash man, it’s called installing 30+ mods in the wrong order.
The way you can just smack the crash man and knock him out before he speaks reminds me of Lord of the Rings. "Do not allow him to speak. He will put a spell on us."
It's super tiny, but I appreciate the smiley face you drew after showing your route on the map more than you know
That last level up really did give you the power of the Bear, didn't it?
Been waiting all week for this looks like it’s going to be a good one
I would have LOVED to been one of the other couriers just safely out of the path of destruction but close enough to watch this one guy cranked out of his mind on Turbo whirling a Power Hammer across the wasteland as he's being chased by an entity of untold horror.
"The added anxiety of the game crashing at any moment, oddly made this really enjoyable". ..... You truly are a New Vegas player.
I've done that playthrough, it's actually quite easy but very fun.
Maybe challange out of the left field, but I am curious...
Can you beat Fallout 4 as a Protectron?
- For added masochism, bonus objective is that you can't use Fast Travel.
Alternative title: I kill everybody and there is also a guy who crashes my game

How could they remove this glorious mod from the nexus???
probably because somewhere in the lines “purposely causing crashes” is void in nexus mod terms, yet plenty do that for you anyway
@@firstnameiii7270 At least this one tells you that it will crash your game haha
@@TheSwineFlu97 my load order isn’t nice like this mod is, it leaves me running a maze of overwrites and broken scripts.
The crash man saying "Later" gives the same vibes as "Nothing personal, kid"
I don’t need the crash man to have the fear of crashing at any moment
This is basically the plot of "It Follows".
I miss Mitten Squad
This is the closest we’ll ever get to a Mega Man run
No clue who that is, but probably if you are fast enough, I wonder if you can do Malcom, Kowalski,F.I.S.T.O., and The Crash Man all at once.... (Also could you beat Skyrim with weaponized junk?)
Dude, if you watched the video before commenting, you'd know exactly who the Crash Man is.
@@Malkontent1003 you don't say -_-
Lmao I do the same thing in my head. Whenever a video name is a question I answer it in my head
Oh boy, the ending got me 🤣 lovely work as always!
‘it follows’ would be pretty different if It wore chaps and sprinted at you

Man, if you were going for a Legion run, that route would probably end up as the strongest shape in engineering...
I feel like this is the average fo3 playthrough
That intro was legendary.
fallout myths: the crash man : the personification of a nightmare if you didnt save recently
Interesting how your drawn out path looked like a womb,
as if the birth of the Crash Man and your route were connected.
Here’s one:
Can you beat Fallout 3 while being hunted by the CIA?
Basically your always being chased by a guy in a suit with a sniper. (Bonus if this starts the playing fallout as JFK series)
@@njvikesfan0162 avoiding or destroying any green/life/ grassy gnolls
*very impressive, but can you beat Fallout New Vegas without hearing Big Iron ?*
You just can’t beat New Vegas without crashing.
It’s funny, I recently installed the game to finally play through all the dlcs, and I actually did this challenge as well…
Except there wasn’t a guy chasing me.
Seeing as you purchased a Mk. 2 helmet, maybe this info could be useful to you? :D
Why was it removed from nexus?
I’m guessing it was due to breaking TOS about purposefully crashing games
(Just a guess I don’t know for real)
