    I love all your videos, but this "silent" one is a nice change. I've already bought a stencil and am looking forward to using it on a quilt and my mid-arm. BTW Betty is growing so fast!!

    I love the new video no chatter, the sound of the machine prompts me to go sew with you. I love the sound of both machines, its very relaxing. Good Job Leah!

      She is our blessing! Yes, this is such a fun technique and it's great for all skill levels of quilters wanting to get quilts finished quickly!

    Perfect! As others have said, very soothing and clear to follow. May I borrow Betty? Alas, my grandchildren are too old to find joy in tearing paper.

      Hahahaha! You may be surprised. I have gotten James (now 17) to help me a rip paper away. It's oddly sensory satisfying!

    Betty is SOOOO cute and getting so big! I like the less-chatter videos but don't mind a little explanation when warranted.

      She really is! She loves ripping the paper away with me, and then playing in all the scraps. It certainly helps make paper ripping fun and giggly!

    Does, the stitch size selection on a little rebel define the stitch size for an FMQ? I am thinking of Bernina stitch regulator, which allows to select the number of stitches per inch.

      I don't have room space for Q16, rebel could be a good option. I love the ruler work.

      When using the "Q" stitch regulator selection, yes, you can lower the stitch length to make bigger stitches, but you probably won't want to. I found having the automatic "Q" settings worked best. But generally I don't end up using the stitch regulator on this machine. I'm too used to using my foot pedal so that's what I still tend to do with the Little Rebel.

    did you use the ruler base below?
    Lovely idea.

    • @LeahDay
      @LeahDay  4 місяці тому

      It's not essential. Because I leave my ruler base on all the time, I don't think about it, but I wasn't really supporting the stencil on the base if that makes sense. My right hand is really just keeping the paper in place and adding a little resistance so I have more control over the longarm. A frame weight positioned to the back could also do the same thing.

    I always like your videos, I have been following you for a very long time, even before you had your little girl and I think your son was very young. Oh I loved it when Betty was on floor tearing the papers. So sweet.

    I see that you offer these patterns as individual selection. Do you have, or plan to sell all patterns in a package? They are al great designs. Thank you for this video.

      I’m actually working on a collection of spring designs that will include multiple designs and shapes to fit specific spaces in your quilt as well as edge to edge designs like this Checkerboard stencil. Coming soon!
