As a artist myself the cover art looked a bit different at the first glance. It was looking flat almost like if it was 2d. But later i realized mikasa was actually lying down. To support this you can see the dead looking eye and the scarf was not at dynamic position while most of this kind of drawing are super dynamic + u can see how the scarf is almost looking it is laying on a flat surface

Okay but the feathers are red and it reminds me of Red Swan and how that opening was this bittersweet nostalgia, and it shows eren’s rage. It was a turning point. Also white bird has been following the alliance and it’s been theorized Eren is the black bird we saw at the beginning of season 4. So bloody wings. It’s a callback to when everything changed for them all and when Eren pulled away. I just keep thinking of the shot of that opening of Eren staring and then his tired eyes tightening with resolve into this quiet and righteous anger. I’m most likely over-analyzing but isn’t that what we’re all doing here? Also if this is nowhere near as coherent as I think it is I’m sorry I’ve been toking the marriage iguana.

I wouldn't day isyama planned an aoe from the beginning. I feel like someone made him change his ending like they did with Sasha. The war hammer remote control ending sounds the best. That plot twist would've been 10/10
He only delayed Sasha death not changed it .If you see the chapter 1 of manga you will see "see you later" that means isyama planned in the begining not in the middle of the story nor someone convinced him

So what you say about 1:30 about them focusing on cour 1 rather than cour 2 even though this is true you can also think of it differently other than the way everyone is Assuming. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen stuff being added in earlier than usual this was true when season four had not been out and there was stuff from part 1 and 2 now I like what you mention at 3:46 to 4:05 because a lot of people are using erens eyes being open to confirm aoe so you also liking aoe but not being too on board with that idea alone is what makes you different from others. Now as for the 138 cgi leak as much as it could be a future memory and as much as that is possible it seems rather unlikely that it is, I think it’s almost crazy how people believe scenes from 138 are going to be animated in cour one even though those chapters are supposed to be 131-134 not to mention that the only way this idea works is if everyone who watches the anime has read the manga in which we all know isn’t true. So you’d have to assume that everyone watching is a manga reader which is why it doesn’t work. As for the new song we got I do understand what you mean about the “birds” the “butterfly” and the “scarf” but also remember it does mention about mikasa waiting for eren under the tree which kind of reminds me of mikasa at his grave in the end. As a person who doesn’t want aoe to happening specifically because of annoying “hopechads” who changed my opinion and made me go from not caring about what ending we get, to Hoping we get the manga ending because that’s how annoying they are. The way I think about it is mikasa seeing the timeline in the manga where they run away will happen in the anime but will be the manga timeline that she sees which is why it could show her going into erens titan mouth

Just enjoy the ride, while yeah the outcome of the anime will be the telling of which sides win, but that's normal for tv shows and films, some people theorize this and some people theorize the opposite, and there will be one truth. Be sure to bookmark Isayama himself as well. After all, he was the first to bring up AOE back in 2013. There are reasons why me and lots of other anti-ANR are giving AOE a chance, since we aren't theorists, but some evidence was hard to ignore. Either way, I doubt whatever humor you're in for is going to be like the hilariousness of watching people scrim at the manga ending for Eren being treated as the hero he was, who was selfless and didn't deserve to die, which was the only way the story could've ended. Wouldn't you agree?
The thing is if that frame is from Cour 1 or 2 it's from what we understand early on so it's definitely odd. If it's cour 1 honestly idk what to expect. If it's 2 cour then why place his death right in the beginning of the second cour? Like what can they really do with a hour left basically. And at that point just make it one episode or have his death the cliff hanger for cour 1. The fact it's early on raises alot of questions

I somewhat believe in AOE, like why the heck did they show Manga Eren (Black Hoodie) instead of Anime Eren (Red Jacket) in the global fleet flashback and freedom scene. Seems suspicious, and then theres Mikasa's butterfly or timeloop OVA while in the rumbling intro there is a crushed butterfly at the end of the opening. I could be reaching but AOE has tons of evidence that cannot be ignored.

You're right. Ymir and Eren (the devil) in that picture with her and the devil are making a deal. And on the right and left you see a clean scarf on ymir's side and a bloody scarf on eren's side. And her handing him a golden apple, those are memories and the berserk ability in the anime. For Eren to gain his freedom, he needed the manga to end the way it did so ymir got her end of the deal, her wish. Now that she got her wish, Eren will get his in their deal, in the anime. The AnR ending (Akatsuki No Requiem)
As someone who doesn't believe in an AOE at all, even I am curious after that cut number leak. There's really no scenario where that scene should be at the beginning of an episode since it's towards the end of Chapter 138. There's no way it's a recap in episode 2 for episode 1 since Chapters 131-138 would be way too much for one hour, and even if they treated each chapter like an individual episode (like the cuts reset every 20 or so minutes) it'd still not make sense cause it's at the end of the chapter and they wouldn't recap it again for 139 right after showing it.
So that leaves the only possibility that it is indeed going to be the dream that Eren has in the beginning of episode 1. Which we know is happening since we've seen kid Eren crying underneath the tree in the trailers, before continuing on with 131-134 as normal. Of course there's the possibility that the 004 cut in the image is entirely misleading, or MAPPA for whatever reason decides to show us Eren's death early as "foreshadowing" to episode 2, which would be stupid. Guess we'll see, but for the first time I'm in the "maybe" camp for an AOE now.
Well jury is still out on that 138 sequence, but from what we did get, its hard to ignore how Eren's dream wasn't "fixed" as the anti-aoe group claimed, since the dream is still different since its now a combination of the cabin and manga timelines, like a seamless transition between Eren dying in the former and him about to wake up in the latter. The manga timeline was part of his dream along with the cabin, and the fact that we see him sleeping in the dream like the manga, only to then wake up like the anime. Combine that with the ending lyrics, which very clearly point to multiple timelines and Mikasa playing some kind of part in that, like how multiple AOE theorists have pointed out, and yeah we got some interesting things on our hands.
“Let’s just enjoy the final season part 3” process to spoil Mikasa killing Eren with no warning and ruining my whole mood.

As many have noted here, I wouldn't worry about that too much. But I will say its fishy for Mappa to spoil that like they did in that 100 shots documentary. Makes me wonder if they're trying to tease something, and I'm not even a theorist lol
I retired being an AOE believer . I still see it as dead as it is now that SIM has released their intro/outro as the others say titled : " Under the Tree " . Lyrics says all of Mikasa's perspective . So 100 % sure that AoE is dead . Well if the outcome is what you AoE fans expect , sure I can take the clowning but at least I was an AoE believer who had to give up to avoid getting my hopes crushed . Don't believe in hope . Nah, one of the biggest things is Mikasa being linked to a butterfly again. Let's go over key points of the theory:
Eren's vow to always wrap the scarf around Mikasa "again and again, forever" and subsequent activation of the founder's power allowed Mikasa the ability to reset timelines, as it would be the only way to keep it if Eren dies and such. Central to her Lost Girls OVA, which was also full of butterflies. Think also of "the butterfly effect" and its relation to the concept of going back in time and changing things, leading to different outcomes.
When she wanted to "go back" in Ch138, she wanted to return to the comfort of the cabin timeline that she reset after Eren had died in it. She told him "See you later" as he succumbed to the curse of Ymir. Remember also that before that, he asks her to "forget about him" and "throw away that scarf".
She can't move on from him, so Eren is trapped like a bird(!) in a cage (also shown alongside the scarf in the imagery of the S4P2 ED, Akuma no Ko), waking up in new timelines and feeling like he'd had "a long dream" (also the title of Ch138). He must break free, so it's likely that Mikasa has to die. Tragic stuff.

But if u want to go that route: in the ova she kept trying to make eren live every time he dies it’s been told that eren will die no matter what (which is what happened in canon) & we see in the rumbling opening a butterfly bring smashed which resembles mikasa getting over erens death & finally kill him in the same ova she sees a mantis & next to in ending 2 female mantis are know decapitate thier partners head (which is what happened in canon) & pretty much Mikasa lyrics is what happened in ch139 we even saw ch138 being adapted including mikasa voice actor.

It's not that he is fated to die young per se, it is that his endless yearning for freedom leads him into dangerous scenarios (I remember reading that that was said in the Lost Girls source material, the novel). If he actually were to achieve that sense of freedom by having the resolve to complete the rumbling though?
He could live, and could stop his desperate yearning that endangers him. But the tragedy of it is that he'd likely be filled with deep regrets about how much achieving it cost him. The awful human cost of his yearning.
Don't get me wrong: If Mikasa dies, Eren would undoubtedly mourn her to a great extent. To the end of his natural lifespan. It's not about him being some happy or even emotionless "chad" character in ANR - it's a seriously tragic ending, full of sadness. A sad freedom, but freedom nonetheless.
Indeed, in an AOE involving timelines, the manga ending would still be canon. But the story didn't end there, because Mikasa still wished to see Eren again, and refused to ever let the scarf go. In no way can that be construed as "getting over Eren's death".
The timeline restarts, and Eren wakes up in the anime from what seems to be a nightmare, rather than peace of the cabin timeline in Ch1. Not impossible that we see, in S4P3, Eren's death in the manga adapted as something that leads up to anime Eren waking up from that dream in S1E1.
The scene/cut number of that Ch138 frame being 004 is suspicious, as if it's at the start of an episode, not near the end.
As for the butterfly stuff, everything has always pointed to Mikasa. We're not talking about two mantises. In the new "Under the Tree" song Eren is definitely the (caged) bird, and the scarf ties them together.
AoE has to be the way to go, no way they added all the "extra" scenes just to backtrack, also Isayama has been known to not make up his mind, S1 was supposed to end like a One-shot but he kept pumping out chapters
Isayama knows what message he wants his story to send. Being anti war or pro war is the type of thing a person flip flops about. Isayama from the jump has always being consistent on the anti war, cycle of violence, The only war to win is to fight is the wrong mindset themes. A person core beliefs aren't something they change their mind on like extending a manga/story. Anyone once their money starts rolling in will swiftly change their mind and expand their story. Almost nobody goes from genocide is bad to genocide is necessary. Almost nobody goes the only way to win and live is to make peace to the only way to win and live is to fight. That isn't Isayama that isn't anyone.

It seems to me that people here are just grabbing for any hope, even for a song on behalf of Mikasa... It's just a song about Mikasa's feelings. Moreover, the song is very suitable for Ending for Manga. Your hope will turn against you, there will be disappointment for you when the end is the same. I'm no theorist, and I despise ANR as much as the next rational fan, but the lyrics in that song do point to multiple timelines and them being a way for Mikasa to protect Eren and heal his scars, not to mention the part about waiting for him under the tree was pretty straighforward as well. Combine that with what was at the start of part 3, Eren's dream which WASN'T "fixed", and also clearly shown different timelines with a weird combination and/or transition between the cabin and manga timelines, plus we clearly see Eren sleep like the manga in the dream, only to wake up like the anime in real life...yeah we are def gonna be suprised lol

aoe is only happaning as slight alterations to the events to be what the original creater wanted it to be, the stroy is gonna stay mostly the smae for what happends because everything that happends from thsi point is directly symbolic of his emotions and feelings
Speaking of his emotions and feelings...he expressed quite a bit of those back in 2013 when he couldn't believe how popular the series came to be, and said he wanted to make a new ending for fans to be respectful to them, instead of his original idea which turned out to be the manga ending we got.

Didn't realize that, but how about the fact that Eren's dream at the start of part 3 was still different, now being some combination of the manga and cabin timelines, which ends with us seeing him sleep like the manga, only to wake up like the anime? When eren and Annie was fighting in season 1 I think the moment Mikasa says it's a cruel world and the armin talk that one should abandon their whole humanity triggers eren who got berserk which didn't happen in manga in some way he got connected with the manga timeline adult eren and remembers that even after killing 80 % of the population that adult eren still have some humanity in him so this time he will abandon all of his humanity and and will go berserk in the last fight between him and his friends in anime. AOE is going to happen you all their is no way they are gonna waste the story of the multiverse in AOT

they're most likely already working on cour 2 months ahead. it's very common for animators to work like this! we are not getting AOE
That whole documentary was months ahead of part 3. They told us it was recorded in the summer of 2022, which wasn't that long after part 2 ended. So us seeing that shot of Mikasa and CT Eren was MONTHS AHEAD of part 3, yet we didn't see it there, and now its going to be over a year between us seeing them work on that, and us actually seeing it animated. Combine that with the weird cut numbers, and a few other things, and yeah, I'm no theorist, but me and lots of other rational anti-anr people are puzzled by this, and like they said, ANR will def not happen but there is still a chance for AOE. AOE and ANR are two different things after all, and Isayama knows this, since I'm sure ANR was the original draft to his original idea that he still delivered on, yet tweaked a bit for the ending we got, but he was also the first to bring up AOE in 2013, of his own accord.

Not anti AOE bc I think another ending would be cool af. I really liked the manga ending too but another ending to confirm multiple timelines/universes would def be a mind blow.
However - I want y’all to also ground yourselves a bit. A song mentioning the symbolism of scarves, birds and butterflies doesn’t mean anything that’s not in the manga ending.
You have to remember that most of these theories are grabbing the symbols from the original source that used the same exact symbolism to give us the manga ending.
“Mess of memories” is a direct reference to MIKASA’S experience bc for some reason she seemingly remembers alternate outcomes (even though the alternate outcomes are never outright confirmed; heavily implied though). One thing to remember too, in the Lost Girls special - where Mikasa is able to go back and change things, the ending is always Eren’s death. So if anyone’s theory is him not dying, by all means, it’s possible, but I wouldn’t put stakes on that call tbh.

It is my personal belief that mikasa killing eren is not whats wrong with the ending, it was how it was presented and how rushed it was that made it feel very weird and unnatural, I think aoe will kinda exist, but the core plot of the manga ending will still be present, just more fleshed out as to not confuse everyone like the manga did
With respect to everyone on this side truly, I used to hate people who thought aoe was a real thing but now I sorta feel bad for them. It's like a religion that people believe with faithful religious fervor and everyone who thinks it's a thing is going to be crushed and realize just how insane they were.
