If Annie, Reiner and Berthold joined up with Paradise they would completely crush Marley, especially because they only got the Jaw Titan back after Ymir chose to sacrifice herself to help the warriors, if they abandoned Marley outright they would have no reason to return the Jaw Titan. Fast forward to their first battle with Marly and that would leave Paradise up three titans from last time and leave Marly down two, Paradise already devastated them the first time, so if Paradise basically held all the titans it wouldn't even be close. That would terrify the rest of the world, but I firmly believe Paradise could have negotiated some kind of peace treaty if they played their cards right
@@Deltabolster Zeke joining them would probably be their downfall lol. He would’ve just waited to gain the Scouts’ trust, then kidnapped Eren and activated the euthanasia plan to sterilize everyone, and take over the island. Possibly even crown himself as king since he has just as much royal blood as Historia does. Zeke was never loyal to anyone, he just allied with people to get close to the Founding Titan.
This is bullshit. The show does a terrible job portraing gun weapons... Marley is like ww1 level tecnology, they would more of a chance then what you think. Lets not even question people that think somehow the rumbling would have an big effect in later ages specially after ww2...
They didn’t know Eren had the founder until Reiner and Bertholt had captured him. During his escape he touched Dina’s Titan, whom has royal blood, and it gave him access to the Founder’s powers over the titans. When Eren transformed originally the Marley squad only knew he had the attack Titan, which was known to have been lost during the Titan wars. The plan was to take Eren and the attack Titan back to Marley so they could go home without being empty handed.
I love how on rewatch you can see the multiple plans each side formulates (often on the spot) and how they deviate or abandon those plans once something else happens. That produces the plot as we take for granted. For example, we got the perfect "arc" structure seen in Trost. Another outer wall is breached. But this time Eren carries the boulder and fixes it. Beginning, middle and end. A great story. Only, we didn't think "why didn't the Armour titan appear and destroy Wall Rose. Like what happened 5 years ago in Shiganshima?". Then we are told, yes, that was the initial plan. But Erens transformation made them very curious and hoped he could be a lead to the Founder Titan. So the plan was called off mid way. Leaving us with a satisfying arc!
@@daddy_1453 there’s so much more that comes in the 57th expedition. Trost taught humanity numerous things, and Erwin was the only one to truly piece everything together. Erwin suspected the titans had intelligence after the colossal and armored titan first appeared, but Eren’s report about the colossal strategically destroying the cannons confirmed it (all cadets had to file reports after engaging the colossal). Erwin also realized Eren’s transformation is likely why the armored titan never broke through the inner wall of Trost, which lead to the 57th expedition being bait to engage the enemy. Erwin intentionally directed the formation to the giant tree forest, knowing the 80 meter trees would allow the scouts to engage with the colossal titan without issue. Obviously if the colossal used its full ability it would just nuke the forest and kill everyone, but this information wasn’t known at the time. Erwin also realized someone at Trost saw Eren transform, so he gave faulty information on Eren’s position to narrow down who is the traitor. The Female titan attacking the right flank proves only those given bad info about Eren being on the right could be the traitor, though the Female titan was a genuine surprise. It’s just a back and forth. Scout’s lay a trap, marley attacks, Armin deduces the location of Eren, Marley’s warrior Reiner gets the intel and gives it to Marley’s warrior Annie, the scouts push into the forest as planned and Marley pursues, the scouts catch Annie, Annie counters with a horde of titans and goes for Eren, Eren transforms and fights back but Annie wins and captures him, Levi and Mikasa save Eren. Then, figuring out who the female titan is, they lay a trap to capture Annie, who transforms once cornered and goes all out to capture Eren or escape. It’s clearly a war, but from the perspective of humanity it’s titans vs the last humans. It’s such a well written story.
I feel like out of the 3 warriors, only Annie would betray Marley. 1) She was the least loyal out of any of them, only doing the mission for her father. Bertholdt believed that he was already damned for breaking the walls, and could not be redeemed. Reiner could be manipulated with his soldier/warrior identities, but he is ultimately loyal to Marley. 2) She is the only with a chance to be accepted by the people of Paradis. As far as any of them know, she wasn't involved with the Fall of Shiganshina. She has a few options when it comes to joining the Scouts. - She could have a similar reveal to Eren's first transformation where she gets eaten, and play it off as some miracle. This could lead to issues down the road once her true past is revealed. - She could do what she did in this video, and claim she's a restorationist. However, this requires her to reveal the outside world, which is a hard to swallow concept that might just be brushed off as a desperate lie. - She could just stop working against the Scouts and just going on with the plot, not using her titan powers until absolutely necessary like how Ymir did it at Utgard castle. Also this option would give her a chance to go back to Marley as a last resort. She could just lie to Marley saying it was ruse to get close to the Scouts. 3) Annie could strike a deal with Reiner and Bertholdt to betray Marley, holding the threat of exposing them over them. "Let me leave and live my life here, and I won't reveal you to the Scouts." Out of all 3 warriors, she's the only one with a viable chance at actually joining Paradis. Edit: Was working on a fanfic idea and wanted to have Annie end up betraying Marley and joining the Scouts. I decided to do so by having her slowly connect with her peers during training and start to understand that her father was a horrible parent. Even if they both truly love each other, it doesn't change the fact that he adopted Annie solely to have her become a warrior so that he could improve his status.
I agree with you, however Annie is ultimately motivated by her desire to see her father. She knows overtly betraying Marley puts him at risk, but as you said she doesn't have any loyalty to Markey like Reiner and Bertholdt do.
An important thing to keep in mind with ALL OF THESE theories is one thing. At the end Eren MUST at some point come in contact with a royal blooded titan and enter the paths. Why you may ask? Because in order for Grisha to steal the founding titan Eren must be present in the paths to convince his dad to kill the royal family and eat Frieda. And in order for that to happen Eren must come in contact with a royal blooded titan AND have a reason to force convince Grisha to kill the royal family. The fact that this theory actually (sort off) acknowledges this is pretty cool.
That doesn't matter since the story doesn't make sense no matter what. How does Eren even exist if the first timeline had no Future Eren to influence Grisha or any person before Grisha? Eren technically let Grisha's sister die, which started Grisha's life that led to his exile and having Eren, but how did this happen in the first timeline where there was no Future Eren yet?
@@thenewkalpa all of the attack titan before Eren were simply led by the memories of Eren because of the attack titan ability to know future attack titan memories, and because Eren was in the path which ,the past present and future happening all at once, he uses this advantage to basically alter the past to his own liking by giving the past attack titans only memories that benefit him
The only problem is, Annie would've transformed infront of the team, and try to act more surprised/confused about it. Sure she'd have to lie, but she'd be able to come across like Eren did, it suddenly happened when she was injured.
An excellent What If, I would have thought that Historia would have done a low scale rumbling just to crush the military of Marley, if not for protection of themselves than for diplomacy reasons to the rest of the world to take out the threat of Marley who had used the power of the titans to terrorize the world; seeing them crushed while not a guarantee may have let the world have reason to have a view of Historia in the same way they had viewed Helos, as a slayer of the empire that used titans to oppress them. Even if for no other reason it may have been some favor to the warriors to make sure Marley could not hurt their families.
I had to record this video over the course of days due to microphone issues, if you notice volume/vocal shifts that's why. I should point out, the reason why Historia acted the way she did is Ymir surviving meant Historia was still in her "Krista" persona. This meant Rod's request was impossible to ignore and she genuinely believed he wanted the best for everyone. Historia mentioned how close she was to killing Eren in season 3, so I assume she'd be able to go through with it here. Put down video ideas in this comments, I write them down and put out a poll on which I should prioritize. The last video I'm working on from the previous poll is, "Eren not getting the founder/Frieda surviving".
1:34 Honestly I think this would actually be one of the main motivations to not join Paradis. Like Reiner said later on, Eren was the worst person imaginable to inherit the Founder. They could never trust him to not figure out how to activate the Rumbling and destroy the world. If someone they could trust like Armin or Erwin had the Founder, then maybe they could negotiate something, but they wouldn’t take the chance of sentencing their homeland to death by helping Eren.
It would be worth a shot though. They didn't even try to explain anything. It's like they just didn't really give af. Wich is why the warriors are a result of bad writing. Realistically , when a person sees that they are doing wrong , they would try to explain tier motivations to not ruin thier image. Eren was angry but not retarded. When bertholt gave his speech after kidnapping eren and straping him on his back , he looked like something started to click in him. He noticed that something was wrong. But they didn't try fully talking.
This story could be pretty much just as interesting as the actual canon. That marley would now be significantly weaker could be mitigated by giving them slightly more effective anti-titan weaponry (developed by marley's enemies).
I glossed over a lot of things in this video as I was primarily focused on the Warriors perspective, but the impact on the world and characters could be even more interesting than the canon, however I'm not as good a writer as Isayama.
i have 2 ideas what if both eren and Zeke were born on Marley what if eren had the warhammer tititan from the start of the series (attack, founder, warhammer.)
Just came across this video. Going to listen at work tomorrow. Im so hype to cause I have been Preaching this for YEARS and nobody ever comments back to discuss it.

I have a what if suggestion What if Zeke was born on paradis with eren He would still get the beast somehow idk how but he would and zeke would agree with the rumbling maybe due to Ksaver not telling him about the Euthinizasia plan
How does historia gain control of the founder? I'm guessing she gets into contact with eren to unchain him, but wouldn't eren gain control of the founder like in canon? And why would ymir remove all titans except historia's, i feel like it would make more sense to keep it as eren seeing memories like in canon and then continue the story to season 4 and the whole civil war in paradis would still happen in season 4 like in canon, but with more titan shifters on different sides (also still think armin or erwin should get the colossal seeing as i think reiner and annie would betray marley but with how bertholdt was portrayed in this what if he seemed more likely to return to Marley which would result in his power being taken by 1 of the scouts idk) Good what if besides from that, I think you should consider doing another part with an extended ending or something, seeing paradis attacking marley with so many shifters would be cool af ngl.
I'm back now. I'm a college student and the semester ramped up in difficulty, so I ignored the channel to finish the semester strong. Now I should be back to making videos as normal.
Your forgetting a few things. All Three Marley Shifters wanted to take the Founding. Either for glory/marley/ to avoid the rumbling and go back home. They viewed Paradis as a fake world. They literally viewed it the same way as we treat an Open World RPG Game. They cared for nothing in it. They would never betray marley.
This video was ultimately a hypothetical scenario and them betraying Marley was the premise. I also wouldn't go as far as saying they viewed Paradis as a fake world. Reiner especially started to lose himself and Bertholdt started crying when confronted by his friends. That indicates at minimum, they had complex feelings towards Paradis.
@@Hallucera How many times did they all the foreign shifters refer to this world “as meaningless” or “has no hope”. Almost every time they were justifying their actions.
@alexandrostheodorou8387 them saying it has no hope isn't the same as it being a "fake world" lmfao. They saw the island as doomed and despised what they were doing. Bertholdt had a break down while escaping with reiner, and reiner had a complete personality split because of it.
If they betrayed Marley so Marley would be destroyed completely because Paradise would have 6 Titans out of 9 meanwhile Marley 3 and if Zeke joins Paradise and Explains the Founding Titan power so It's game over with complicated Reasons and Eren would completely use his plan to destroy the world but even if that gets failed Paradise still would have got the same power as they did at past and rule the world if Titan Powers don't disappear
Love this channel. And your voice over. Definitely subscribing. But since you put it out there I’m going to critique your take as if I were criticizing Isayama. I enjoyed the story but I feel this is lacking a ton of elements that could actually make it on par with Isayama. Like I wished the main characters like Armin and Mikasa and more didn’t take such a back seat to the plot. I feel it should be more fleshed out. And the ending if this were real would have ruined the anime for me because it’s so anti climactic. Didn’t utilize the “big bad” essentially the “Thanos” of Aot aka the rumbling at all. The rumbling is what AOT has been building up to from episode 1 and I feel that should have been utilized in the climax. I think what I like most about this video is you telling the story not even the story itself. You’re just good at story telling if that makes sense lol. So this is a great video regardless. Good work I look forward to watching more from your channel.
Could you check my most recent video, in that one I'm trying to create the what-if while also writing a decent story. I really want to know what you think of it and where you think I should improve.
WHY DOES YMIR ALWAYS HAVE TO DIE 😭😭 but seriously, your stories are great and this channel is underrated i think, but pls can i have one good ending for Ymir (at least ONCE por favor)!!
All of your “what ifs” are terrible wrong given what we already knew about the entire story the fact future eren is controlling all eldians in the past this doesn’t add up at all you have to rewrite the entire story in order to make sense of half the garbage in this video
In all my what if’s, I’m assuming Eren or Ymir is guiding the story to the predetermined ending. In my earlier what ifs I’d even put up a disclaimer explaining that as well
@@thenenhunter2600 yeah again this is a bad series to even try to do what ifs due to the predestination complex that the show is written as its foundation at best you can say alternative universe but again to stay consistent you do have to write an entire new ending at that point
@@edwinjusto5739 You can do a what if for any type of story. A what if is simply rewriting a story assuming a plot point happens differently. For a story with a predetermined ending or timeline issues, you’ll have a plot point change by default, which is that everything up until X-point remains the same AND Y plot point is changed. For this what if, I just assume Grisha actions remain the same despite Future Eren not manipulating him.
@@thenenhunter2600 the problem with that is that the everything until x is something predetermined to happen exactly as happened by the future founding titan eren thats why pure titan diena didn’t eat bertold when she had a clear chance to do so which is part of the before x right? So your story needs a justification for a founding titan eren to have made things like such given who he is at the end of the story
I'm assuming everything remains the same until X, so Dina doesn't kill Bertholdt. If you want an explanation, assume these what if's exist in an alternate timeline that branches off the instant X plot point changes. So Future Eren triggers the event of this timeline despite not being present in it. I structure my what if's like this because the alternative is they all end with identically with Eren or insert character entering the paths to trigger all the past events. I'd rather have more variety with the what if's and have the viewer assume this is an alternate timeline/universe.
This channel is criminally underrated
Thanks Obama

This was always an interesting alternative timeline
Im starting to think Marley got him
But seriously can't wait for the video
I'm back now. I'm a college student and the semester ramped up in difficulty, so I ignored the channel to finish the semester strong. Now I should be back to making videos as normal.
@@thenenhunter2600 How many more years of college do you have before you graduate?
@@thefanfictiontitanI just graduated and now I'm working a full-time job, so it's basically out of the frying pan and into the fire
What if all the titan shifters joint Paradise
and also suggest: What if Gabi Falco Zofia and Udo first attack Paradis
what if grisha and dina his wife of royale blood survied and now eren has royale blood
and if Eren didn't use the rumble and find a peaceful solution to end the problems of Paradis
Tell us your peaceful solution rather than hypotheticals lol
I loves this video and for help me in attack titans annie reiner bohol eren
Who would win? Jaw Titan, Warhammer Titan, and Beast Titan
Or
Attack Titan, Female Titan, and armored Titan
dude keeps saying Rice Family lmao
The English dub pronounces it either “Reice” or “Rice”, and “Rice” is how I mentally pronounced it when reading the manga. I feel no shame 😂😂
@@thenenhunter2600 its cool, I ain't trying to shame you or anything. I was just confused cause I thought of the food everytime you said it LMAO
That indicates at minimum, they had complex feelings towards Paradis.
the story clearly went over your head if you think they didn't care about the world of paradis and thought it was fake
@@alexandrostheodorou8387 again, the story went over your head
If they betrayed Marley so Marley would be destroyed completely because Paradise would have 6 Titans out of 9 meanwhile Marley 3 and if Zeke joins Paradise and Explains the Founding Titan power so It's game over with complicated Reasons and Eren would completely use his plan to destroy the world but even if that gets failed Paradise still would have got the same power as they did at past and rule the world if Titan Powers don't disappear
0:15 reiner just like me frrr
@@thenenhunter2600 yea man most def.
Aot 2: things just got wackier when?
This Will in timeline aot called betrayal or. Ot name au aot
Attack on Titan betrayal or not
WHY DOES YMIR ALWAYS HAVE TO DIE 😭😭 but seriously, your stories are great and this channel is underrated i think, but pls can i have one good ending for Ymir (at least ONCE por favor)!!
I thought this was a joke what if that says " if they betrayed paradise"😭
A bunch of what ur saying ive never seen in the anime, where do u see all of this??”
Could you point out examples? I can try to explain where I’m getting information from.
Pretty sure this guy was narrating a fan made, what-if scenario.
Onnie Lmao
youtube has taught me that I'm horrible at pronouncing things
The colossal titan can wipe out Marley and eren Reiner and Annie can kill the other people in marley
