I gotta say, since I retired I didn't think I could farm so much. Between, you guys, Millenial, Larsons, Harmless, Sonne, Farming Fixin Fabricating and a few others, my recliner and remote are worn out. Armchair farming is tough. 😂
It’s a lot easier to install a rear end in a LazyBoy.
Throw in Fast Ag too 😁👍
Follow Mark Brock as well. He's Canadian, pretty small farmer, but has some good videos
Don't forget Saskdutch Kid!
True that, check out mike Mitchell up in Canada. Big big big operation.
I guess with this full auto steer otherwise known as “millennial mode” Hollywood will have more time to fly his drone around and show us the clouds views of planting.
If Coby is up for it, is there a possibility of him wearing a go-pro so we can see from his perspective what he does for a whole day? He works hard
Yes, i C that would be nice,,Cody Collar Crop Country Cam
I hope there is a fan engine guard on the BUD so Coby does not get injured or burnt
@@larrydartel1610 he's a farm dog, their a lot smarter then city dogs
Next thing you know there'll be a "Life of Coby" channel.
When Leg Arms was holding the handful of wheat, he proclaimed a profound revelation. Good observation! A seed must die before it can live...
Right out of the Bible!
And Jesus died on the cross, rose on the third day, so we can live!
@@marckimbrell4645 Amen
@@marckimbrell4645 And thus the parable of the sower remains true. Praise Him for eternal life.
It felt like yesterday that yall ran that quadtrac and that case drill
does a little.
True!
Brings back memories from when I was a kid visiting my grand parents in good old Shelby Montana. Watching your videos of Welker farms is pretty cool. We just finished seeding this morning in central Alberta.
That's cool 👍. Glad you're done. Loved the rain today.
@@RobertWelkerFarmerBobis my
Sailors refer to their ships as she. Apparently Farmers prefer to their tractors as female as well. Kind of fun interesting never saw that before
uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuumm thubber thums
It's about time your tractor learns how to drive. 39 on a farm not driving, I don't know.
When my dad was young, they were driving truck (shuttling grain from the combines to the bins) by the time they were 12. It might be a bit later now...
Your dog steals the show! Wish mine could jump like that.
Hi welker farms.
How’s things today? Love that old tractor
Going well, got rain 😁👍
Robert Welker good to hear Robert, good to hear.
Do I smell a hint of some HUGE flotation tires like on "beastbine" for the 600 Bigbuds future?!? 🚜👩🌾
With worlds largest chrome backwards spinning hubcaps, hopefully.
Seriously though, it did sound like a new tire hint was dropped
If they fit under the fenders that is
Dont Think they fit
Ruben Braekman they dont fit
Are you flying and seeding at the same time?
If so, how are you keeping connection with drone from the cab?
Hmmm...tempting to hop out of cab, stay out of frame.
Like the drone possesses, is accu/auto-steer for the tractor equipped with auto-stop to halt tractor if GPS signal is lost?
Since remote/operator-free operation is coming, it would make sense to have included remote/auto-stop (not RTH?!) and obstacle avoidance to these systems.
-"Keyfob-like (adjustable) range transmitter carried by operator...tractor/combine, etc stops if out of pre-set range, loses GPS signal, or remote operator wishes to stop implement.
-Continuous video/audio feed to phone/tablet/laptop.
Just wondering...
It would be convenient to be able to retrieve/move seed-tender, spray supply, etc.
When Legarms was talking about something moving in the shop....I was expecting Nick to be there with a broom....cleaning the shop. But no....
The Allis Chalmers reminds me of my grandpa because he used to have one.
That old girl fires right up.
Man. those are some Beautiful Rigs you guys have there. I Loved the "Look Ma, NO HANDS" !!! lol
with self driving tractor, one day someone is going to add a biggar cap, with a office and a nice chair
Music from 25:05 to the end got me like.. Where's the Goonzquad boys at? Only me ehh?.. ohh okay then.. :-P
We look forward to these every Wednesday - Thank you! Love to see how well you all work together but Bob & Coby - what a team! God Bless Welker Family!!
Thanks 👍
Best bud. Series 3. They look good, got powerful good Cummins engines, they roll coal. It’s a tractor
Watch out for bridge limits as the guys are heavy as any tractor today. Which is part of the greatness, the build quality is top notch. We used an Allis 8550 and our neighbors DMI 12 bottom on CRP way back. Same HP, but neighbor had a Stieger and therefore a whole bunch of traction advantage as those are very heavy builds as well.
Do you ever intend on mounting camera's on the rear side of the seed tanks on the drills? That alone would help you check to see if you're dragging something you shouldn't be. Great video as always, cheers :)
Yes we have talked about that.
Muchos saludos desde Mexico ustedes son los mejores me gusta mucho ver sus videos
Hey Nick...you look and sound like Chris Martin from Coldplay
There was 3K year old wheat found in the pyramids in Egypt. Planted, watered, and it grew like gangbusters.
Awe Yeah, Coby and the boys! Coby you got quite a crew there! I imagine they get out of line sometimes, and all you have to do is bark at them LOL. Thanks!!
Have you considered using Arduino boards to convert analog gauge signals to digital readout on your Big Buds. Temp and pressure sensors can be set up to alarm on an IPad or digital readout on the dash. They can also be used to provide Fuel levels using pressure sensors. See “Danger Marine UA-cam channel” for making fuel level sensors. Arduino’s are very inexpensive. Just some thoughts!
Just looked that up. Very interesting. I'll have to research.
Earlier in your video today you were talking about driving BIG BUD and the layout of the equipment that you tow behind it. You were saying that it is hard to see what is happening when you have that large tank directly behind you. Is there any way that you can rearrange the layout and set things up differently, so you can put it last in line to better watch for build-up on the seeder tines or any other major snafu's that might jump aboard thus avoiding having to stop and clean them out, or having too drive around the field, hoping that all the build-up will dislodge, or fall off before you can get back to seeding? Would rearranging the lay-out help you or is it too big of a problem of rerouteing the stock layout of the manufacturer? It might be a good winter project for you to think about, or not. And by the way that BIG BUD sure does look mighty cool rolling coal going thru the fields and that "HANDS-FREE" driving that CASE IH installed sure is the cat's meow. Enjoyed the short lecture that your Dad gave today, need to have more of those, PLEASE. As well as his ride-along buddy. And I'm looking forward to seeing your Dad's big lunch box with all the goodies that they pack while being in his two-week isolation. Guys gotta eat and so does his dog we can't forget about him.
Cheap and easy to add a camera like they have on the Peterbilt
We have talked about a camera on the back of the cart. Might do it this fall. It's hard to eat without sharing when those big brown eyes staring at you.
That's a darn good dog. Nice to have a good companion riding along. I had a black lab like that died about 5 years ago....I miss him. He lived 15 years though good life for a lab
He's very loyal and loving.
“Cowfartt” shirt. Classic.
Check out Tim the dairyman.
I want that shirt. I wear everything Carhartt and that would definitely change it up
Big Bud...........the B-52 of tractors. A little maintenance and they will go forever.
Like the way you maked the camera shake when started the BIG BUD 😜😜
I gotta say, since I retired I didn't think I could farm so much. Between, you guys, Millenial, Larsons, Harmless, Sonne, Farming Fixin Fabricating and a few others, my recliner and remote are worn out. Armchair farming is tough. 😂
19:53 I think that's called "millennial mode"
Your doing it right the hell with john deer garbage. My uncle has farmed for 40 years in Saskatchewan and only buys case none of that green deer garbage
Legarms glad you didnt find that Bird when you talked about food and that you gotta eat something 😉🤣
Chinook helicopter pilots say don't worry about the leaks, worry when it stops leaking because that means it is out of oil.
Ha :) it was the same for us working on Sea Kings.
Love to see Coby the stunt dog again!!!! Awesome planting pal!!!
Straight rows reduce production. If you put s curves in the rows they are longer and therefore more crop.
9:50 you guys need a ag - CAM behind the cart 😎
I'm glad that you guys work through all seasons not like the fellow inProverds 20:4
Keep op the good work and God bless.
Thanks 👍
Old truckers trick....clock your gauges so that under normal operating parameters all the needles point to 12 o'clock. You can do a full gauge check in a split second. Just look for any needle not at 12
Never thought of that. Guess what's getting done to the truck next time it's in the shop
Hey guys. It would be great if Mr Gale Banks would upgrade the engine bay. With his knowledge. Greets from Germany
nick i dont know why someone would dislike your videos good job farmers rock
Thanks 👍
Robert Welker no problem keep up the good farming and videos
Great video you guys, planting is going great ......keep the pedal down !!! ...cheers from OZ !!!
👍
Hey guys hope y’all are doing well God bless you guys!!!
We are thanks 👍
Morning doves to like to build inside buildings in the spring if you leave the door open! I’ve chased a few out of my garage the spring.
My 2020 freightliner still has the ignition by the door and since me and dad our the only ones that drive it, its always in neutral and brakes set so it's nice
Whenever you guys pull the 1150 out of S3, I'd love to see it on a engine dyno if possible. Curious to know the actual number.
Same here. They are capable of much more.
Would be crazy if that special valve system you talked about on livestream was implemented as well, then the 40 year old tractor could drive lift turn place and seed fully on it's own
Can be done
They have the electronics for it they just need the electro hydraulic valves
Their fields are so long and square it's not really worth it
Yes. It's possible if the Pro 700 was connected to electric valves.
And as I said in another video! Those of you giving a thumbs down to the the videos that are made by the people the supply food to this country. Please, If you don’t like, don’t watch, but since you not only watched, but you felt the need to give a thumbs down..
Since that’s the case, take your thumbs down, turn it around, sit on it, then spin!!😂😉👍🏻👍🏼👍🏽👍🏾👍🏿😂 😉
Thank you Welker, and all other farmers and families feeding us all during this crazy time!!! Much appreciated!!!
Again appreciate your support
At 15:18 when leg arms was warming up the tractor will there be a sound difference between like 5 mins in compared to 10 mins in? Or how long does it take to warm up the buds
When the engine is cold it sputters and once it warms up it sounds smoother. Take about 20 minutes
Are your machines computers connected so the buds can see where the ground is already sprayed and the buds can see each others seeding lines?
The Brute has integrated spray application. The Buds aren't hydraulic valve are not integrated.
pull behind carts are a bit bedder cuz u can see the middle area of the air drill
Fans aren't as load either
I just figured out that you get ~30:1 yield per seed you plant. 48.3 bushels avg national yield per acre, that's 60 lbs per bushel = 3000 lbs per acre yield. Seeding 1.3 million plants per acre where 1000 seeds is 35mg, so that's 100lbs per acre seding. 3000:100 is 30 ratio.
We hope for more but 32 to one is average
Always nice to see a welker video pop up in my feed!
Thanks 👍
Looks like a new cars movie Its Disney Pixar's Tractors 🤣
12:58 couldn’t you just water the crops with your sprayer lol
1" of water over an acre is over 27000 gallons, or 3 tanker trucks per acre. To get several inches over thousands of acres is a monumental task. Thats why if irrigation is done in farming, its done though either large pipes or open channels because moving and applying it by truck just isn't an option to do in a profitable manner.
My 4830 had a 1000 gallon tank. It's a spray rig not a pivot. It definitely can't simulate rainfall.
Thanks for sharing, especially Coby, love that dog.
You can put more seed in a crooked row.
There's a kernel of truth there 😁
Great Video Nick, 5000 acres of spring wheat,,, wow Thanks Tony
Thanks 👍
First 😀
Yessir
Who cares
Can you use wireless ag cams to visually see any issues on the back trailer? #millenialfarmer
Yes we can. Just need to do it.
Your farm is the only map i play on farming sim 19
I cringe every time you start that old Moline while standing in front of the drive tire! :-/ Stay safe man!
Need to have some sort of contest for winner to spend a day on the farm.
Hope I lose 😂👍
Robert: I'm just amazed at the huge amount of land that you all farm. I look out and the acres go on for as far as you can see. Do you have any idea how many MILES you put on the machines each yr planting and harvesting? Keep up the great videos. I really enjoy watching the 'WELKER FAMILY REALITY FARMING SHOW'.
Hey Steve. 7 acres per mile for each drill. So that over 1000 miles. Thanks 👍
Can you put a camera behind the grain cart
Can and probably will now that there's Pro 700 and 600 monitors
Who should put a camera behind go karts
it look like one of the fords the fuel gadge is broken at 17:27
Nice that you have modern features on a old tractor. Although some day the EPA will ban old engines from working more so many hours per year. Similar to what California did to semi trucks. Great Video
What is the record for wheat per acre?
This years wheat yield contest was over 200 bu/a. Record is over 250 bu/a I believe.
Holy cow...
Bob what is the "average " rainfall there ? I live in Maffra, in the state of Victoria, Australia , our "average rainfall is 25 inches, Maffra is in the middle of Dairy Farming are, we also have irrigation .
@Central Iowa Farmer Again Thanks 👍
At the beginning Legarms looks just like his father
Much better looking then HIM!!! 😁
Roberts comment 😂😂
Zach: I don’t half to steer for a hundred acres Nick: I want to have that to Case: hold my beer
The tractors looks cool on farming simulator 19
You've got a dog in one cab you need a cat in the other one. That way you get all the animule lovers watching. At least 10,000 more subscribers.
😁👍
The Big Bud must have been using a Kysor engine protection system.
100% hands free. Unreal , so now what besides checking the gauges an the planter do ya read the latest Case ih magazine an drink coffee? Just chill axing.
I pet Coby......... when he's not driving.
After seeding and spraying etc, you guys should go to Zack Johnson for a Off The Husk podcast. Could be interesting👍 Keep up the good work💪
that is great idea
Get that crop done so you can go to the lake and relax.
19:50 It's better than those self driving cars like Tesla Autopilot !
All within sub inch accuracy too!
Interesting to see your automated steering system. What progress are they making on fully autonomous farm machinery? Do you foresee the day when all you'll have to do is sit in the office and monitor equipment while your machinery goes about it's work 24 hours a day?
They are soon to release smaller mid range tractors for that purpose.
The sound tube ports on the intellegent Ag ECU’s are numbered, so are your flexicoil tower manifolds. To sync them up make sure the numbers match and you’re golden👍
So what did “Leg Arms” do all spring, sit in the Bud and watch Netflix?😂
Running uncleaned seed through your drill is a great way to plug up all your runs. Great test for you blockage monitor.
Hahahahahahahahaha
That's what farming is. Sometimes you got to do what you got to do
Actually this was fairly clean of large straw. Had no blockage with the uncleaned grain.
Big Bud really was innovative and no one gives them credit for it, they put steps on their tractors just for your dog
👍
I watched it twice 😎
You need therapy 😁👍 Blessings twice ! !
@@RobertWelkerFarmerBob bless you 🙏😎
ha you're awesome!
@@WelkerFarms nah, you guys are 😎👍
Nick i know you guys have said 100 times but could you say how much land is farmed total. Thanks
10,000
Nick when you said you have a blind spot because of the aircart why dont you hook up a rear view camera on it (like RV's and trucks etc use) and just have a monitor at the top of your rear window?
That way you would be able to see the whole air drill width and know if there was anything wrong and you don't need to wait till a turn,,
Agree
Epic fail by @caseih marketing for not showcasing their products this spring.
We would have loved to see a precision drill
Hey Nick great video, i didn't know you were a neighbor to Mike Mitchell up north. Thankyou
He's about 6 hrs to the north east.
Love how your dog just sits on the front wheel guard👍🏼😂
500 Gal (1900 L for us in the rest of the world) for 2 days of work planting food for the world, "How Dare You?!" @ ZIP TIES N BIAS PLIES .
Love the video keep up with the great work
Hey Welker farms . Brasil Very good Tocantins Brasil.
Welcome Reginaldo!
Question guys, on the Accu-Steer it doesn't appear that the steering wheel turns when you had a turn in the field. Does the Accu-Steer do that with out steering wheel movement?
That's is a fully automated hydraulic run steering. GPS controls the hydro valves.
Hey guys I am a new subscriber love your channel I got out of high school in 1968 last time I done in a farm and was a 1969 and that farming equipment is fabulous never knew they had anything like it
Welcome Steve!!!! Glad to have you along. Blessings.
Talking about rain in Missouri we have way to much rain we are so behind we haven’t planted anything yet
Not again....... we did get 2" the last couple of days
Nick, you should sell some $7 wheat and just go buy a new no till drill. Might be your wife is ready for a new house before the kids are grown!
I would love to see $7 wheat. Right now Winter wheat is 4.75 and spring 5.25.
If I had that turning set up on my tractor I would not have to pause your videos when I have to turn.
I do like that 600 bud
Did a good job on it.
Thanks 👍
