- A couple of weeks into seeding season and things are rolling right along. Bob and Leg Arms (Scott) are burning through the acres with the BIG BUD tractors and Hollywood (Nick) is trying to spray ahead on spring wheat ground while finishing the pea post plant spray.
Won't be long and spring wheat will be wrapped up and we'll jump into chick peas!

There is TV executives probably weeping tears of shame at the way a Montana family is showing them how to portray a snapshot of American farming life. Welker Farms take a bow. You are just raising the bar for documentary tv with editing and photography.
T.V. execs are smart enough to get behind projects like this
If TV got a hold of this they'd ruin it like all the other scripted reality garbage they claim is "real life struggles".
@@morkorson4196 exactly.
We appreciate the kind words 👍
i guess I am pretty randomly asking but do anyone know of a good place to stream newly released tv shows online ?
Is Coby hourly or does he get a percentage annually for his time seeding?
Edit: sorry that was rude to pry into Cobys financials
ya being the CEO i think he pays himself pretty well..just his expertise driving and riding on the big Bud warrants six figures i would think!
He be pulling in those dollars
@@svenvolwater5473 Puppo bucks.
All the badgers Colby can catch...
I recon he can earn a badger an hour on a good day.😁
I love the dog in the driver seat that is priceless
Jeffrey Hamilton dogs are priceless
He may have been the "goodest" boy that day! Although my dog Winston might disagree.
If Coby was driving does that mean Bob was sitting by the fender
I thought our dog was cool sitting on the tractors driver's seat but Coby is actually seeding
@@SlipShodBob 🤪👍
Today’s stars of the video is your Dad & Cobey” what a fantastic team together. Warms my heart to see “ Man and his dog” working together. Thanks for sharing.
Boy coby has the ultimate dogs life
Unlimited yard to run in
Big ol tractor fender to survey his domain from
And even helps with planting
What a great dog
Give him a pat on the head for me
I just scratched his belly for you. He said thank you. :)
Don't you just love them, life would be so much poorer without. Collies rule.
The connection you have with your dog, family and God are a testament to the quality of people that the Welker family is.
You sir, are a Great Man.
Thank you for those kind words, Blessings
“Old Guy On A Old Girl” 😂
Just what i was thinking i hope his wife doesn't watch these or he may be sleeping in that tractor for a night or 2
"I'm gonna take this old carcass back to the barn. The tractor is staying in the field." Classical and funny.😆😆😆😆😆😆
Cool that your dad is vlogging
Be a farmer they said.....it'll be fun they said.....until everything blows up and people you don't even know seem to think you owe them money.
Seen some of your videos, seen the Bible verse. I think you should continue to do that because you probably showed the Lords love to someone you don't know. This channel is one of my favorites now. ;)
Thank you
Blessings
My Dad would say those old tractors had "arm strong" power steering. And our old trucks had 2 55 air conditioning.
My Father and Gandpa would say "it turns as good as your breakfast was"... My Gandpa when was more than 80 old have arms to ashame a lot of gym boys.
My Dad and Uncle were 'Farm Tough", raised on the family farm in WA, both worked hard well into their 80's. I don't think I beat either of them in an arm wrestling contest either. Now that my Dad is 96, I might be able to win, but could I really brag about it?
NICK!! NICK I need you more then ever buddy! I been watching you forever and ever!! I live not far from your state and I need just one thing. I know its a ton to ask, But I am getting desperate as a disabled vet and this stupid virus, I cant retain or get employment and my UA-cam channel is an actual business I started up. Great content, good growth considering! But Nick, I would love you to head over to my channel and watch some videos. Find it in your heart to boost my channel in anyway you can and I will never forget your kindness. Thank you thank you!
The dog driving the tractor was awesome. Love how he rides on the fender!😄
To answer Bob's question about field shape. Every farmer in Saskatchewan that farms the north and south quarter on the same side of a section.
Honestly I think the dog did a great job running the planter. He could use some work on his turns but all and all he did pretty well. 😂😂😂
I like thad dog " drives a tractor" :)
3:45 i hope i never get to see that in real life XD. Awesome dogs!!!
We have a feild shaped like Colorado😂
I see what you did there.
We farm one that looks like Indiana and we live in Indiana
Give us a pic! This is a fun new farmer project
@@miriambertram2448 we have one that looks like Oklahoma
Hey lads once again Coby steals the show, I know everyone else has a minor part in this show but Coby gets my vote every time..Stay Safe
Coby...take a bow wow.👍
They make some nice electric air compressors...you need one in your buggy...just saying
Your dog is so cute😍
what happened to legarms home made tires for the boom on the sprayer
Needs some re engineering
When the Big Brute broke down, that would have been a great time to do an "Et tu, Brute?" lol
Ha ha!
One other comment. Nick the Lord was watching out for you in the Big Brute. The steering failed in the field not on the road.
Always hyped to watch you videos.👌🏻👌🏻😊
hahah Bob is bored. yapyapyap....Saw a farmer running a quad case here in ohio.
First one again god bless and glad your almost done seeding
When does Coby get his own spin-off channel?
This is his channel. He just gets tired of starring and lets the others be on it.
Hello can you guys take of unused buildinhs and bugs, power lines in game grass land has deep hole when I smooth it
Great instead if a gravel pit , you have s rock pit, bury those rocks in the ruts that trucks made by the bins
Coby in Command or in other words TOP DOG 💪💪😂
Oh please, I am a farmer from Minnesota and we found a rock the size of your can - am.
Actually believe it or not I have a feild alot like texas in sunnyside Washington
Are you going to devlope Little Montana like a Little America 😁
👍
Didn’t understand the rock picker my brothers and I were the rock pickers.
That rock picker is neat, lol. Crush it and use on your lots...
Old man telling hystory from old days
I wanna hear more of the Old-school stories of your dad
You should try an Agrifac for a while!
Our back field looks like a lake until we tiled it. lol
Welkers have a spare sprayer, get that patriot out.
Welker Farms keeps America going!!!
I hope Colby does not get in a fight with a badger.
I want you to stop hyping up case. They stole their ideas from Steiger. John Deere never stole the ideas the way that case did. Y'all Riding I am I on the wrong equipment
I'm assuming you know but if not Steiger sold to CaseIH. So steiger sold their ideas to them. As far as JD they also bought out companies and copied many ideas from others. They are the reason Big Bud got started. They bought FWD Wagner and killed it a year later.
I can say Minnesota has rocks. I work for a tiling company and today we had to use a dozer to push a rock outta the way because the backhoe couldn't move it
Colby was driving the BUD LOL 😂😆😂😆
We have a field that the irrigation goes across a public dirt road. Most of our fields are circle with occasional odd ball fields. We farm peanuts and cotton in Florida.
All I wanted to say was this; PUPPY!!!
I don’t think anyone would wanna farm Massachusetts
You ever seen all the rock walls there? They used to try...
We don’t farm a field that looks like a state but farm one that looks like and axe
Interesting
Interresting
interesting...what state ?
North Dakota
Great video. Bob is a National Treasure!
Nick, did you guys ever decide what works best on the combines? Big singles or the duals?
I love the big LSWs. Much smoother
Coby is the ultimate farm hand!
You should start recording podcasts or do one with Zach Johnson
Colby, you are one very cool dude! When he shows up in drone footage you know which Bud Bob is in.
The music at 15:30 is so good. Love that it shows up quite often in Welker videos.
There is a reason we never change hydraulic oil. It’s because every so often you have blow out and it gets changed for you. I think it’s cute to some manufacturers put little bottles on the on the hookups to catch a few drops. But the main supply line blows next to it and blows 20 to 30 gallons on the ground in about three seconds.
No rocks in Minnesota? Lol you guys don’t know what rocks are!
🤯 😁👍
That rock picker takes a beating.
My dad said a lot of things have changed in farming because when he was a kid he was out planting and harvesting but I had to wait till I was 15 to plant and harvest
Do some footage off Leg Arms in the 600/50.
As a retired farmer, when i was young I ran tractors with no cabs and straight pipes (no Muffler), Now I'm hard of hearing, and have to be checked for skin cancer yearly. I should have known better, but when you are young.
Maybe you should consider buying a backup sprayer www.govdeals.com/index.cfm?fa=Main.Item&itemid=96&acctid=4162 It has the 5.9 cummins!
To the dad of the farm Bob, Back in the mid to early 90's when i was a kid we farmed 120 acres with a Minneapolis moline with a narrow front end no power steering and it would almost break your arm off if you hit a rock or rut. but still love seeing the old Minneapolis back up and running.
Ah, yeah, Coby driving the tractor. That's awesome! I just hope he doesn't tangle with a badger. We had them on the farm and were real mean and dangerous!. Thanks again for another great video, and showing Coby working hard!!!
Ok Ok Ok, There is BOB and LEGARM and HOLLYWOOD, (its is funny ) and what is the dog studioname?
love that rock picker!
awesome video! keep feeding the world!
👍
Our neighbours field next to ours is almost exactly the shape of Saskatchewan
but wait... what about the apache sprayer couldn't you guys use that?
Hope you get the brute fixed and running again I know how it feels to have a sprayer down when you've got about 1500 acres left to cover in seeding.
God bless guys
I grew up east of Millennial Farmer (about 75-100 miles), and the farmers around Dad's always said "if you can't grow rocks, you can't grow crops"! So I'm very familiar with picking rocks!
What about the Apache?
Nick , I left you Dad a comment it would be nice if he could do a short video explaining how he did this field work 30 years ago. Deep-plowing ect ??? 😀👍🏾🚜👍🏾🇺🇸
We never deep plowing. 6 to 7 in.
So, what you're really trying to say to us is, you grow rocks instead of peas. LOL What many don't realize is, the earth is alive and those rocks, are just being pushed upwards due to movement way down below the surface. Not just from frost heaves.
Coby.... probably the best tractor driver around. :)
Think Big Brute is trying to teach you a lesson here.... stock up on hoses and proper fittings lol
Great video, cheers :)
Well Dad I believe Bob Brown has a field that looks closest to Hawaii. Maybe Claudia in New York has one too?🤔❤️🖖🏼🇺🇸
Awesome aerial footage; and though thinking that Coby was pretty unfazed by the drone flying so close by, i quickly realized that with his proximity to the tractor engine, the drone the least of his worries....fantastic video folks....
Don't know what you guys paid for that rock picker back-in-the-day, but it looks like something you wouldn't want to be without, (or is that how Legarms got his arms...???)
I didn’t know that coby was that good at driving tractors
Is that rock picker for real? Looks like something from a Mad Max movie.
It is
I just love that dog, and your farm ;-) 🇩🇰🇺🇸🇺🇸🇩🇰
Ya'll like to blow thing up. How about blowing up those giant rocks. Then you can dispose of them. A good winter project.
I took those screens off years ago... I have filters after each ball valve, easier to clean that one filter per shutoff then 70 nozzle screens.
WOW, those are some rocks....
It's official, the Welker's own Montana.
Never sprayed Spartan but have sprayed Sharpen on peas. We found if we up the gals/acre of water works much better. We now spray 15 gal/acre.
Bob really needs to be wearing hearing protection when in the Bud. Not only will it help preserve his hearing, but it also will make him less fatigued at the end of the day. Try it. It's noticeable.
Thanks for your concern. Actually the sound level is not much more than a truck. But i do wear Bose noise reduction a lot of the time.
@@RobertWelkerFarmerBob The sound level is high enough to interfere with your speech. What isn't noticeable is the subsonic noise that contributes to fatigue. Any kind of hearing protection helps now and later. The Army finally figured this out. That's why you now see soldiers on patrol wearing hearing protection. It protects them from sudden noise and increases their stamina.
Bought some walkers game ear noise reduction, Bluetooth, in ear 31 db reduction for running equipment sure is nice.
I know I should wear hearing protection when running equipment but many times being able to hear what starts out as the slightest taps, thumps, squeaks, and squeals has saved me a lot of downtime and money because I was able to notice a problem sooner than later. There are pluses and minuses to hearing protection
You should find someone with a portable crusher to crush the rock into usable gravel .
Just love Coby!
Spent many days of my youth walking along a hay wagon pulled by an old Farmall picking rocks. The unloading was manual as well. But nobody farmed much more than a section back then:)
I think I found an untapped market for you guys. You’ve got all those giant rocks, and you’ve talked about how there’s a gravel shortage in your area.. all you need is a rock crusher and you’re in business!
I spent many 12 hour days picking rocks by hand when I was younger... Not a good time.
Too bad the brute broke down, don't know if you have an agrifac dealer over there. Would love to see you guys get the opportunity to demo an Agrifac Endurance
One off the best sprayers in the market, don’t know if there any dealers in the US there are some in Canada.
But since CaseIH is sponsoring the Welkers don’t think they will try an Agrifac.
I live in the Netherlands. We see quite some condors here, awesome machines.
Love the Big Buds, Bob as a Kid spent many hours on a 4020 with no cab and just the umbrella to.
I farm several fields looking like Wyoming xD. Greetings from Germany.
Looks like you got some Green on the Bud and she went all JD on you........
She needs more Red on her to ward off the JD Cooties.
Juuuuust Sayin lol
Rock picking.... hmm, that sounds like something JPaydirt would do.
We actually spray a field called Hawaii. Because of all the rock piles or blow outs as we call them. I believe it’s a 160ac filed but only 73 farmable
I'm amazed how well these old tractors hold up today after decades of usage.
You should have off road bike hanging behind the tractor for emergency moves to help someone else !
you have a appche
Gotta love the segments when ur dad vlogs.
