If you guys aren't liking the dump cart, we bought a uft "cartveyor". It has belts. Maybe not quite as good as a dump cart for gentle handling, but they're way better than augers and are 750 bushels and a much bigger target. With your big tractors you would have more than enough hydraulic flow to run it real fast.
I’m using a ih 856, pulling a 1946 pto harvester, dumping into a gravity cart for 30 acres wheat,, having a great time,, great videos Chet hi to all,, have a great day 😎
So great to see a Larson Farms video my day got a lot better I enjoy your videos so much and your mom's videos so much thank you for all the hard work you do to make the videos can't wait for the next one
Maybe look into KMC peanut carts!? I don't know if they fall into the affordable category but they are very popular in the Southeast for peanuts and often doubled up as silage dump carts on dairy farms.
Hi Chet! I wanted to first off tell you i love your content I love watching your videos! I know you have a good following of some great and amazing people and I wanted to see if you may say a few words about the people in the Appalachian area NC & TN who have went through a catastrophic event, there are so many places that cannot be reached atm and may not be for quite awhile they need help desperately! Thank you for your time and if you can't or don't it is understandable
Did you guys check the relief valve pressure on the scvs on the tractor hooked to the dump wagon? I made a simple quick connect gauge set up for adjusting mine. The fleet varied from 1900 psi - 3600psi.
Love watching you folks, from the UK, it makes our lot look like toy town. probably pay to put some bigger diameter hydraulic rams (cylinders) on the dump cart, bit slower but will lift more. All the best from the UK
That was exactly my thought as well. Seems we think the same way! Mind you, for what they paid for the cart, it isn't worth it to do. All round, be better to buy the proper type. It would come with the bigger rams and would be safer as well. Also from UK.
Should check onto the balzer wagons for inloading silage they use a feeder chain like the feeder house to unload into truck. Works very similar to an old style corn elevator.
Need a agco tractor on that dump cart, fendt, massey, jcb, high speed. so take 1 combine bin to truck and back to 2nd combine empty. Or check if that 1 has flow reduces to limit lift capacity? Use to have 1 behind silage chopper and 16t was a small but good load to dump in to trucks on move and blow in to truck at same time.
Thanks for another great video from all of the Larson crew. It was interesting and enjoyable to watch for sure. I can tell that the affordable tippy grain cart is not working well. I feel sorry for the frustration that causes when you are trying to get something done. Seems the hydraulic lift system is not up to the capacity you need. I know you all will get it figured out and get something that works for you. You had a very windy day out there which dried the beans for you. You all pressed ahead hard but guess you need another day to finish. Hang in there!!!!! You all did good I think considering the things that held you back time wise. You all hang in there. Thanks for everything. You all take care and be safe. The Iowa farm boy. Steve. 😊😊👍👍✅🇺🇸🇺🇸
Love you grow black beans, Chet. I’d like 25 lbs, please. Wish we could figure out a way to market those direct to consumers for you. Might make the hassle worth it.
We grow cranberry beans and use an picket combine for edible beans. There’s a lot less moving parts than a regular combine so you don’t have to worry quite as much as well as you unload by tipping instead of auger so even less auger usage only downside is you have to use a windrower instead of cutting it straightbut I would highly recommend at least looking into them if you’re gonna continue black beans
Hey Chet why not buy a grain cart with conveyors instead of augers? That way it’s useful for all the crops you are growing. Yeah I know money doesn’t grow on trees well actually it kinda does but it’s just a suggestion.
Yes I was thinking the same, of even maybe changing the geometry of the cylinder mounts somehow to provide more leverage, I am sure Dougo will come up with a solution :)
A short pair of assister rams to get the bin past the high load leverage point would sort it. The rams only need to be single acting and push until they top out. i:e: not fastened both ends.
If your on a budget... jerry rig the heck out of what you got! Modifications are always needed. When broke your welding and duct taping skills will be the only solution.
Have you considered upgrading the two dump cylinders to a larger Cylinder tube diameter while keeping the piston rod the same size? It will increase the cylinder force. Might be a cost-effective solution.
Sunflower and Richardton both have good dump carts.. They have separate raise cylinders and dump cylinders.. They dump full cart loads of sugar beets, no problem..
You may need to purchase a 5th wheel dolly to hook onto the back of the 600 and just pull a trailer through the field unloading on the go........ All the truck drivers would have to do is bobtail to the field and hook up a loaded trailer 😂😂. Those black beans seem like alot of headaches.
We used a similar dump cart for cutting silage. It would go alot higher and completely empty. I feel like you have fluid bypass in the cylinders when it gets to a certain pressure level trying to dump. It should go higher than it is
🏡🧘☕🌿🕊️✨Hi to the Larson farm are you guys I see you're cutting your harvest down on your beans wonderful to see you guys. 🌈🌅🚜🚜🚜🚛🚛🚛💐🌹🌹God your work everybody Amen🙏❤️❤️💌👍💞💞
Dos that cart have the proper hydraulic ram on Igor need a bigger one. Years ago my buddy bought a John Derre cultivator that wouldn’t fold the wings. He thought it was the 8650 ; but it turned out the rams were on the wrong end. Go figure that out. Swapped them end for and problem solved. Maybe…..
Conveyors are better on the beans but they're suuuuper slow compared to augers. And all the big cart manufacturers use augers for the speed because it's a "corn/soybean/wheat" world in North America.
Overloading seems to be a common issue for guys who are used to grain carts they can stuff full and then jump to using dump carts. The dump cart is limited to its 30-40k# lift capacity and the hopper made for bulky crops - silage, seed corn, green beans can hold much more when it comes to corn/soy/edible bean. You honestly probably need 2 of those carts running with what you're doing, and once you start to see the pile stop dumping into the cart.
Here is a solution instead of dump cart. Get a belt conveyor, use your existing buggies and open the bottom hatch to dump them on the belt conveyor. Trucker can load the truck, buggy driver and run two carts.
Put small short cylinders on bottom to help with initial lift not attached to dump box just frame. Could be on same hydraulic circuit . Would take some thinking but your mechanical advantage would increase quickly as it lifts. It probably does not need much help in distance of lift to get it going
The local farmer here in southern Cook County in Ill has a lot of beans being thrown out of his combine there must be over a hundred geese sitting in the field eating something

once that bin's all fully up an runnin you're gonna have to do a new intro video, people's gonna wanna see it in its full glory!
Good job farmers. That pitch fork found was awesome.
Chet is doing good, the beans are looking heathly and the volume is consistent.

I truly enjoy your content. I often watch 2-3 times, thank you I love your channel.
Maybe look into KMC peanut carts!? I don't know if they fall into the affordable category but they are very popular in the Southeast for peanuts and often doubled up as silage dump carts on dairy farms.
They make a conveyor dump hopper. Never understood why y'all never looked into that.
Here in KS we raise sunflowers and is worth the effort
You guys do an awesome job Thanks for the extra effort you make Chet
Can you weld a chain on the cart and use a loader or skid steer to assist a loaded cart until you can find the right piece of equipment?
Will you guys be having a video on the motor issue you had with your combine I've seen on Facebook
You should raise Sunflowers for there root structure and how it helps build soil health. They send root super deep and are used for compaction.
Sunflowers are a great crop to grow!
they are nice trailers made in Courtland,Ontario

Anazing video guys. Thank you guys so much
I like the different angles of film showing operation.

Great video good to see y'all
Replace the piston on your dump cart with a bigger one. You might have to adjust the angle to prevent warping cross members and attachment points.
So are you going to change out the hydraulic positions to bigger/ heavier load bering/ lifting?
ive never seen a dump cart used that way, i though those were for silage and seed corn
A trick to keep the rain out of the dump cart is just to leave it upside down. We ran one for years and never had a problem
If we did that it would blow over…😂
We lift our truck hoists while parked to keep rain out of them too.
I like these videos Chet does a amazing job filming I wish I could meet these guys but I don't drive a car anymore and I live in Sioux Falls SD 😢
Looking forward to tilt cart 3.0. 💪👍🏼

I ENJOYED WATCHING THE VIDEO CHÈT ❤😊
Good stuff again. Thanks for posting.
Chet, if the dump cart is too slow, how come you don't dump directly into a trailer ????
Need a agco tractor on that dump cart, fendt, massey, jcb, high speed. so take 1 combine bin to truck and back to 2nd combine empty. Or check if that 1 has flow reduces to limit lift capacity? Good stuff guys
5 gal bucket and bathroom scales, and conversion to bushels..
Can’t wait for the boom video with Brody.
Saw that style dump cart on sweet corn in central MN here
Thanks for another great video from all of the Larson crew. It was interesting and enjoyable to watch for sure.

😊😊👍👍✅🇺🇸🇺🇸
I would recommend you guys look into a seed mill for a combine to break weed seeds and not replenish the weed seed bank.
Magnifique vidéo et les moissonneuse batteuse 790i et bien équipés et bien intéressante et le soja est murs 😂😮😅
I hope Larsen farms can trial as many different combines as possible. We rely on these channels to help us make the right decisions.
Love you grow black beans, Chet. I’d like 25 lbs, please. Wish we could figure out a way to market those direct to consumers for you. Might make the hassle worth it.

Can you beef up the hydraulics on the dump cart to help dump it? Or maybe place the hydraulics rods further to the side of the cart?
Hey Chet why not buy a grain cart with conveyors instead of augers? That way it’s useful for all the crops you are growing. Yeah I know money doesn’t grow on trees well actually it kinda does but it’s just a suggestion.
Amity makes a nice dump cart.
Amity means friendship. Insert Jaws theme. 😂
Chet, replacing the hydraulic cyclinders to a bigger size, do you think it would solve the overload problem on the dumpcart ?
i mean replacing them with bigger will probably solve the issue. Frame would likely need some major reinforcements as to not crack.
Was going to say the same thing.
He needs a conveyor cart.
Glad you got the engine.replacement. done.so.fast.
If your on a budget... jerry rig the heck out of what you got! Modifications are always needed. When broke your welding and duct taping skills will be the only solution.
You need a KMC peanut dump buggy . They are built to carry 750 bushel of peanuts and they can load into a semi hopper trailer.
In my family it's known as buy once. Cry once. Get the good one. Big to hit to the pocketbook but now you got a good one
You could just put bigger diameter hydraulic cylinders on the dump cart and that would boost the lifting pressure
Hey Eric, you can hold an umbrella over the dump cart all night lol
What about stronger hydraulic rams on the dump cart?
Surely your local hydraulic shop can but bigger bore cylinders on the cart, thatll make it lift more, cost a bit though
Glad you got AF2 up and running!
Dont give it away to ones who don't know lol
@@dphillips705if I didn’t miss a video JD must have taken really good care of them the subject just went away
Sorry haven’t had time to keep up with all the videos how come ye went away from the chaser bin ?
is there sun flower crop facilities there in west MN ? I saw them further south in the midwest, / plains but no idea what the best region is for them.
Couple places in Fargo i think
Have you considered upgrading the two dump cylinders to a larger Cylinder tube diameter while keeping the piston rod the same size? It will increase the cylinder force. Might be a cost-effective solution.
I sure hope the wind doesn't delay the final erection! #grainbin
Amazing video, Chet and Larson Farms!
Harvest time! Let's goooo harvest some seed!!! LOL This is what it's like calling concrete, cement!! 😉Have a great harvest season
If you got new rams and put them on the other side of the cart. I am sure it would dump. or put the ram bracket lower on theother side.
Sunflowers were my favorite crop to harvest. Eventually the black birds moved in and devastated the crop, so we switched to beans.
Dump cart need larger hydraulic pistons, which gives higher lifting capacity
Sunflower and Richardton both have good dump carts.. They have separate raise cylinders and dump cylinders.. They dump full cart loads of sugar beets, no problem..
Boy thought we were going to see that titan trailer all lite up not so much maybe next time
You gonna have to upgrade to a large grain cart with the Combines you have.
Would it make sense to get a pair of hydraulic cylinders with a larger diameter to get a stronger lift on the dump cart
Do a few fields of sunflowers and see how the money is...🎉? 8:51
Chet kinze built a conveyer cart 450c might work for black beans
Great video. 👍👍👍
You may need to purchase a 5th wheel dolly to hook onto the back of the 600 and just pull a trailer through the field unloading on the go........ All the truck drivers would have to do is bobtail to the field and hook up a loaded trailer 😂😂. Those black beans seem like alot of headaches.
love the vids man keep up the awesome work
We used a similar dump cart for cutting silage. It would go alot higher and completely empty. I feel like you have fluid bypass in the cylinders when it gets to a certain pressure level trying to dump. It should go higher than it is
Never get empty ? Perfect that way you have a cushion to keep from cracking beans.
Amity crop chaser can take 80,000 lbs 14’ 4” or 16’ 5” tip height. on tracks and I’m sure very expensive. They might be able to get u a demo next year
🏡🧘☕🌿🕊️✨Hi to the Larson farm are you guys I see you're cutting your harvest down on your beans wonderful to see you guys. 🌈🌅🚜🚜🚜🚛🚛🚛💐🌹🌹God your work everybody Amen🙏❤️❤️💌👍💞💞
you need a belt conveyor on the big cart. probably as an attachment that would replace the auger bottom
Maybe…..
This is my favorite time of year Harvest season is upon us
2 min. Nice. Love it😊
on your bean dump cart; what about putting bigger cylinders (and other necessary parts) to be able to successfully use it
no frost yet isa real setback thisyear
there are chase carts that use rubber belts instead of augers
Conveyors are better on the beans but they're suuuuper slow compared to augers. And all the big cart manufacturers use augers for the speed because it's a "corn/soybean/wheat" world in North America.

Try bigger/stronger pistons on the dump cart. ?
Chet would it be easier to have the semi drive the field then you unload your combine’s ?
You obviously haven't been paying attention
Put conveyor belt auger on the back of the proforce.
Here is a solution instead of dump cart. Get a belt conveyor, use your existing buggies and open the bottom hatch to dump them on the belt conveyor. Trucker can load the truck, buggy driver and run two carts.
New cylinders are more $ 4:22 😊than they paid for the cart.
Watch it regular from a retired farm worker
Put small short cylinders on bottom to help with initial lift not attached to dump box just frame. Could be on same hydraulic circuit . Would take some thinking but your mechanical advantage would increase quickly as it lifts. It probably does not need much help in distance of lift to get it going
Look into a Kinze 450c
Can you use the fertilizer trailer with the belt?
Affordable is just that. Right size the equipment for your operation...#cheap.
a old farmer told me one day, a poor man pay twice... so no affordable stuff is not always the best
A bigger dump cart with a conveyor unload instead of auger would be the ticket. I knew the little cart would never pan out.
Did Brody wash your combine😂😂
The local farmer here in southern Cook County in Ill
has a lot of beans being thrown out of his combine there must be over a hundred geese sitting in the field eating something
Not a farmer so serious question but why not have the semi follow the combine like a grain cart?
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Too much soil compaction
