- March 1st, 2019 we had the chance to test the 2020 Polaris Scramble XP 1000 S in the Nevada Desert, leaving us keeping our review of the ATV Industry changing Scrambler S secret for six-months.
The long-travel, wide-track 2020 Scrambler XP 1000 S creates a new segment in ATVing bringing with it some much needed excitement to the world of ATVs. It’s sure to be the dominant 4x4 ATV force in the desert and dunes and we imagine it to be a dream machine for those looking to take on many of today’s wider, gnarlier SXS trails.
With no other machine in its class, he 2020 Polaris Scrambler XP 1000 S is a more capable Sport 4x4 ATV designed to keep up with a changing off-road world.

Imagine a 16 min video about a four wheeler and not a single second of just the sound of it without music or talking over it
LOL judging by the number of likes that were definitely other people that shared your opinion about the audio. To be completely honest, the audio in the desert was so bad due to the wind we weren't able to use as much of it as we would have liked.
ATVonDemand ahh I gotcha. Maybe next time lol
@@Screamingz1 just watch our Sportsman 1000 review from 2019. You can hear the machine better and it sounds almost exactly the same.
Music makes videos garbage. All we want to hear is the 4wheeler. Sure when ur talking and explaining new stuff but not when ur recording it jump and all that.
Love some dirtbike & quad videos! Gotta have sound but not always super heavy rock music soundtracks.
We need a true sport Atv! 2020 predator would be nice
Nothing new to report, however at the last event we attended, we hammered a few guys in product development regarding the need for a light weight sport machine. 5 years ago they seem completely disinterested in this subject, the last time around they seemed far more receptive to the topic. Fingers crossed.
@@ATVonDemand Good to hear. I'm more of a UTV guy but it's a shame that there's essentially next to no RWD sport ATVs (besides Yamaha). Let's hope that changes.
I love Polaris own a lot of Polaris. But predator was pure junk. And it’s definitely not a sport atv.
@@BunkerBlog from 1989 to 1999 Yamaha was the only manufacturer making sport quads. The blaster, banshee, and warrior. Honda had the 300ex but nothing else until the 400ex set the world on fire in 1999. Suzuki has been out since 2008, Honda stopped 450 production in 2010 I believe so hopefully there is something new on the horizon. With utvs costing as much as a cheap car there is definitely room for a sub 10k fun machine.
@@tjsmith8220 outlaw was better but it still did it's deeds in the woods if you could control the wheelies
As always, great vid. Real world review with the good and the not so good. 👍
Thanks, we appreciate it. We try to look at the good and the bad. We know this machine will be great for some and not a good fit at all for others. Always appreciate you stopping by to watch and comment.
I Truly wish they would bring back the TRX450s!!!
That would be awsome, but with a different suspension setup and chassis. U know kinda like the yfz 450 and 450r
I used to race mx and gncc on 450s. The thing is when you do eventually crash and the bike comes looking for you, it's much scarier to know theres 800lbs vs 370lbs about to land on top of you.
Almost all of us who ride or film for our publication started on sport ATVs. For most of us, it is still our favorite segment and we are constantly advocating for new lightweight sport models when we are visiting with the manufacturers.
@@ATVonDemand I appreciate that. I have ridden pretty much every sport quad made. From mx to gncc and the baja1000. Nothing in life has really pumped me up like racing did when I was younger. I've tried shifter karts, mountain biking, jetskis, now utvs but nothing really matches the fun to be had on a sport atv.
Buy a dirtbike. 4 wheelers are farm equipment lol.
@@sciencemilitia1853 I have a 2019 crf450. It's fun but not that much fun.
@@jbird1173 Whats funnier about quads ?
Awsome bike, but Please bring sport 450s back,
Yes, please, what he said!
Ltr450 😭😭
Anything with 4wheels is Not a Bike lol
Here in Arizona, I could really knock the new off this bad boy!! This might be the perfect quad for me at 6'-2" and 275lbs! My Berg fe570 might get jealous though. Good job Polairis!
It’s funny looking but it also looks super fun to ride! As much fun as it is to hustle a sportsman through a trail I bet this really takes it to the next level! That price tag is crazy though!
$14k!?....for that kind of money they should of upgraded the headlights to LED.
Remember buying the raptor for 6999. 14999
@@nickcove7355 wtf?
LED headlights would make it worth $14k? I mean, it might be worth it, but I wasn’t thinking about LED headlights.
@@jasonmccullah9434 no, but for what those machines cost, the little details like LED lights, better tires and a factory AGM battery help to ease the pain of the high price tag.
93Cobra agreed....my zero turn has LED’s and it was only $3000.
Polaris really missed the mark here with what their buyers wanted.
He stated their market is really those that have a big bore already, but those customers know what they want in a new Scrambler.
- Different models - Base, XXC, Mud, turbo (at different price points)
- Increased reliability in known to fail components (pinion plate, rev chain, belt, one-way bearing, etc.)
- Increased HP (which went DOWN in this new model!)
- Better headlight assembly
- Better front rack
A lot of this was hoped for when rumors of a new model started. Nowhere, among any current owners were thought of "Hey I want a wider Scrambler".
Expect this model to sell less than the previous one did.
Locked everyone out of 50 inch trails also.....sad but renagade is doing better
@@jshapiro34 my 2018 Renegade 570 XMR is a blast, even though i mostly mud ride
Polaris engineers : hmmm canam has been kicking out ass in the ATV segment for years can it get worse?
"Hold my beer"
Great comment, no one asked for 55".. Make the changes to the steering, diff, and chasis on the base model and they'd finally have built a durable machine..
More of a UTV guy but I really agree. 2WD sport quads need to make a comeback. I'm tired of these massive 800 pound AWD quads. They have their place, but they aren't a replacement.
That thing has a face only a mother could love
jonny5662 lacks the charm of the ugly but loveable 2006 scramblers
jonny5662 looks better than the can am in my opinion
I could listen to this guy review stuff all day
Thanks, that's very nice.
I agree. I bet he coukd make old women playing a game of Go Fish sound like serious, and interesting business 👍
$15k? That is a car.
Were you get a car for that
Cheap car like a Toyota Corolla. But you can buy a new car for $15K.
Keep bring it on ! Nice bike !! Put this in the dunes !!! Time will FLY .
Change why not it makes the sport better every year ! Now starts the challenge .
not as much as a banshee it ways to much to jump it right
Good ol Polaris changing the industry again!!!!
Yes they did.
I'm confused by the new 2020 1000 sportsman premium package..on the polaris website it says it comes with a front brush guard and winch. but you have to equip the trail package to get the arched a arms?
@@Fishin_Wisco That's weird..
That scrambler🤤🤤
I have a scrambler 400 2 stroke, their old but wooh is she fun 🤘
Well I got a 2020 Scrambler XP1000 S and I couldn't be happier with it and it's the same one l my friend had I tested and at the time didn't like the ride and he had 10 lbs of air in the tires. Doing weight reduction so far cut 30lbs.
Wish this could have been like the outlaw 525... Manual transmission with the IRS suspension omg! I would have sold my car for one!
Just got one. Will be doing a review here shortly. Thanks
Have you written it yet? What are your thoughts on it?
ATVonDemand actually yes I did. Only for about an hour. Heading back up to our place tonight. Will keep you updated. Feels way different then my raptor 700. Lol. The thing is a beast. Once I get some time on it , I’ll let you know. Haven’t even done the first oil change yet. Thanks for the vid though. Appreciate it.

There is nothing sport about this thing, the size is only good for wide open areas. Yamaha had the right idea with the original Wolverine back in 1995 with a lightweight Sport 4x4. Would be nice if someone would make a modern version of the Wolverine. A sub 500 lbs 4x4 with a 500 to 700 cc engine, 5 speed auto clutch, long travel suspension and selectable 4x4 would be a great trail machine. Guess I will keep my lightly modded 05 Wolverine a bit longer.
Got my vote, I'm wanting to get a new ATV but don't want a bus.
Wolverines are GAY!!!
I have a Wolverine in my garage and you have obviously rode nothing other than the wolverine your whole life, my girlfriends raptor 250 walks all over the Wolverine in every single way
Wolverine lol. Unless you’re going Motocross I can assure you that my 1000 scrambler will shit all over any sport 450CC class ATV
wickedwolverine350 I like my 350 Wolverine and won’t be selling it anytime soon. These OEM’s just don’t get it. That’s why the last brand new quad I bought was back in ‘07 and I still have it. They just don’t offer what I want. It’s called light weight.
Wow that thing is HUGE!
These look like a blast, but 55" seems a bit wide considering a lot of USFS ATV trails have 50" restrictions.
Joe Bunevac seems to be more for desert riding.
But, in an already limited market why would you make it unusable to half of us who still ride atvs? Just my thought, I'd love to have this beast for the woods.
Nice video thank you
Thanks for watching. We had a lot of fun producing it.
Looks great, but I'm perfectly happy with my 2018 scrambler 1000. Not enough upgrades to think about changing anytime soon.
If they had only left the wheel base alone and did the strength / suspension upgrades, I would be all about getting one. By making it 55" you just prevented me from riding on half the trails around me. That won't fly.
15 grand for a quad that's overweight, and too expensive, uh no thanks
Every year atvs get heavier
More power
more weight
A dangerous combination when riding aggressively
This is a big machine
In Mud it would be great
But I can’t see riding this like my raptor or my sundahl banshee
There are other ways to build a sport 4x4 atvs than this
This fits a certain part of the market
But a lightweight raptor with Christini hub drive front under 500lbs with redesigned chassis
Low center of gravity 6 speed
Manual clutch true sport atv would be something to ride
For an expert rider
But
I applaud Polaris and can am for at least offering something in this category
Yamaha also for keeping the raptor and 450s for us to buy when every one else has dropped them from their lineups
But the dirt bike industry has pushed innovation every year like the sxs market
While the atv industry is still stuck in. The 90’s
Own a raptor a sundahl banshee a razor 1000 and dirt bikes
Been around atvs three wheelers dirt bikes all my life
But at 45 yrs old there is no next level in atvs
Dirt bikes like Ktm husqvarna gas gas beta every year cut weight and refine their bikes
Sxs every year there has been a consistent improvement in design
Look how far sxs have come in 10 yrs
But atvs
Dean sundahl, doug roll, leager to name a few were the last to push the boundaries of atv design
Yes there are others and with the racing organizations banning custom frames back then halted any future innovation
Today this scrambler is supposed to be sport
Very well said, I think a machine with this much power approaching 800 lbs is an accident waiting to happen. I think 400-500 lbs is the max a four-wheeler should weigh. Anything heavier than this and you should be on an SXS.
Two more votes for a new lightweight sport ATV.
Well my old Polaris 850 Touring was bigger and heavier than my bro’s Can Am 400, but way harder to tip. So more power and weight doesn’t automatically make it more dangerous.
Sport ATV innovation died when the EPA came down on Suzuki.
Same hp bud
I remember fondly the days when you could walk into a dealer and buy a decent brand new quad for around 5K
in today's dollars that would be around $6,500. There are a few good 4x4 options at that price point.
Can am outlander 450. 💪
I remember when there was more than stupid raptors being made
Cool machine, however, I’d love to see a lightweight, 2wd, sport machine again. Just bought a new to me 2006 Suzuki LTR450.
We agree enjoy that LTR!
That scrambler is awesome good work polaris
These are sick!!! Love the look and design!!! Send me one and I will demo these for y’all!!! Lol
The handeling. Like a new truck.
wow that thing is badass...!!
Great coverage gents. It's really too bad that Polaris released this the way they did. I still cannot fathom why they thought a 55" wide ATV was the best option. That and the price makes this a no go for many. Too bad....as it's an amazing machine.
We're not sure exactly what you mean when you say it's, "too bad because it's an amazing machine." A top-of-the-line machine is not going to be expensive and its the ATVs size that makes it too big for some people is primarily what makes it so cool. Perhaps the number of comments on this video from people wanting a more affordable machine will encourage Polaris or another manufacturer to release a lighter-weight, lower-cost sport machine. What about the way that they released it did you find a surprising?
Needs to be tested at Sycamore Creek Arizona. There is a ton of extreme obstacles. Including large river rock for miles, huge mountains , water , soft wash sand, and more. It probably couldn't handle it up there...
Hey I made the video at the 12:35 mark! These machines were a ton of fun.
We had to include you. You were sending it!
How's the performance compare to the 2018 1000 scrambler it's heavy and bigger tires is why I ask
@@kgrant2317 if speed in a smooth straight line is all you're worried about then the 2018 will be faster. Throwing some bumps and some room for the 55 in wide Scrambler to stretch its legs oh, it is more stable in better suspended. If we were riding on 60 in Trails, we aren't sure if we could go faster or not. It would be cool to do a little in-house shootout between the 2020 Scrambler 850 and the Scrambler XP 1000 S on some intermediate width trails.
Love it
Want to see a head to head race comparison this versus the Yamaha sport quads...
. And the Polaris guy nailed his demographic
Yes, that would be fun. We have a little digging out to do on some unfinished projects but this would be a fun shoot for the fall.
Yup that guy at the beginning was right! I want one!!✋☝️
Upgrade the slip shaft on the main drive shaft I have a 2018 850 scrambler an I love the power really in joy the ride
thank you
I love it.
Too late Polaris was looking like you were discounting the scrambler so I bought a RENEGADE !!!!
Great choice.
Renegade LMAO ! Taking mud holes one Diff at a time , Polaris is light years ahead in technology bud , and before you comment I fix atvs and if it wasn't for can am I'd be eating kraft dinner lol !
Mud Slinger
First off I never said anything about quality on either atv was stating that they were too slow to release this to the public, I would rather have a scrambler.
Second your assuming my riding style don’t ride mud holes stock tires do me fine in the trails I ride.
I would buy and Argo or an sharp for mud holes.
Third no matter what you buy or own it’s all needs maintenance and breaks.
I have had many atv mostly Suzuki’s super reliable but slow and a brute force that was fun but never own 1 again.
Argos are gay for mud holes you need rzr or something like this yes can am if shitty but I can't talk to much shit I ride dirt bikes but alot my buddy's ride 4 wheelers I quit riding 4 wheeler because shit breaks too much alot more parts to take care of happy riding
Mud Slinger lol most people throw 32 inch assassinators on stock drive train and clutching. I have a 19 renegade with 530 miles and so far absolutely zero issues! I absolutely love it aswell! And it’s faster then any Polaris. I even have videos of me racing a tuned scrambler 1000 and still pulling it at 70!
Looks like they took an RS1 and turned into an atv. Wide open country riding is what this thing is for. The sportsman is the better machine and for the money I could get a sxs. Mudders and dune riders should love this thing.
For this much money you could get a crotch rocket to but it still wouldn't be an ATV. We get your point though. Most of the trails around where we live are on private land and the trails are wide enough for 64 inch wide side by sides so we can't see why this machine wouldn't in the woods for us but there are definitely some people who won't be able to fit this on their trails.
It’s freaking gigantic.
I don't understand who is gonna buy this except anyone in the southwest United States. Polaris abandoned xc racing and now it looks like it's saying goodbye to everyone else. It doesn't fit in a truck bed and at its price point I don't understand how anyone can justify buying this. I mean it would barely fit in my shed.
A 55” atv won’t fit into your trucks bed? Sell the Ridgeline and buy a usable truck.
It is way too expensive though. The pricing of atvs and side by sides is way out of hand
It would be interesting to take this Scrambler into our local wooded trails and see how the 2020 Scrambler 850 stacks up against it.
ATVonDemand I think it’d do pretty well. It’s not 2009 anymore and the booming popularity of side by sides is making trails wider. I ride my slightly over 60” Teryx in Pa and West Virginia where trails tend to be tighter and technical. No issues whatsoever and this is about 6” narrower with a shorter wheelbase. I’d say the handling benefits far outweigh the times the width would be an issue.
@@jadosa29 I have a f350 long bed. They made this thing longer and wider. The LENGTH of the atv will make it difficult for guys with a standard bed. Most guys with a regular scrambler have to keep the tailgate down and ratchet strap it to secure everything. Even my long bed my NARROWED XC scrambler with 0 offset wheels have about an inch on each side where the wheel well humps intrude into the bed.
@@ATVonDemand I'm no veteran to GNCC, but I've been racing 4x4's for 2 years. One reason the Renegade (prior to the new model) is so dominant is its stature. It helps it starts fast too. Polaris took everything away that was good, made what was bad worse. The improvement in frame and front diff with the addition of weight and less hp is going to make your 850 look like a world beater.
Why is you channel so underrated
We concentrate on putting our effort into quality, rather than cranking out two videos per week. If you share our channel with others on social media, we might grow a bit faster. That would be sweet.
Can you do more retro vids like you did with the honda 3 wheelers? us old guys would love it
We'd love to. However, we have to figure out a way to at least make the Classics series pay for itself. We're considering doing a Patreon account to help us acquire test units to film and build. If you're a subscriber, we'll keep you posted.
this gives me goosebumps never owned before there because I can't afford one.
Ed texiera and rick cecco need to get their hands on this asap.
Can’t wait to be able to afford one of these in 20 years or so !
Yeah, but in 20 years or so something like this will getting up costing 30 grand so
everyone forgets about the blue collar man, time to revolt.
mchs152lb Yamaha didn’t forget about you lol
Exactly lol I have a Grizzly 700 and it's a work mule.
Yes they do
For this quad, I feel like there should be an option between coming with an xc type tire or some nice boggers.
We would be amazed if a High Lifter Edition isn't already in the works. It's the natural progression for this platform.
Too bad they didn’t separate the brakes. Would be nice to have a front only brake.
I bet you can just do that yourself if you really want to. After you purchase the machine of course.
2020 Predator ? 🙏🏽
Need a highlifter version of the scramblers 💯
I’m one of the few hold outs not joining the sxs craze simply due to liking to ride areas even 50” sxs’s wouldn’t like , so yea an even wider 55” Atv heads in the wrong direction for me . I still have my 2012 Brute Force 750 and they are just hard to beat bang for the buck . But , I’ve been desperately hoping Kawsaki would eventually offer a 850-1000 brute but I think they’ve given up on the atv market . That being said I’ve been heavily considering going back to Polaris on a 2019 sportsman xp1000 . I still worry about their fit and finish and small component quality control . I’ve owned almost all brands except Suzuki and they’re all leaps and bounds ahead better built than my last Polaris .
Pretty interesting ,that they would bring out a new atv in the age of the sxs. Hope it sells.
2020 Outlaw ? :)
I wish.
Outlaw or preddy back would be great......about to go buy a raptor because they keeping that sport atv alive

I have a 2007 outlaw, highly highly recommend they bring the beast back. Never had more fun on a quad!!
The 2018 had LED headlights, this looks to be halogen. But hey it has a light bar! The 2020 makes same HP but is 140lbs heavier? Pretty let down tbh. Glad I bought the 2018.
If you trying to cover big rocks, or wide open terrain the handling makes up for the loss in power to weight ratio. Besides, if they gave it way more power, more people would complain about things breaking. Vicious circle.
@@ATVonDemand yah give it more power and beef it up, who gives a fuck about a light bar, for 1000 less you can get the can am renegade x xc 1000r and we all know thats a way better bike.

Why's homeboy behind the speaker laughing around 3:15 lol
I honestly like the gen 3's better. I have an 06 500 on a customized frame that takes a complete aftermarket 450R front end, bumper, nerfs and pegs. It's set up motox style with 18" rear n 19" front tires. Weighs in around 380lb.
I got to take a Scrambler 1000S for a ride I took it for 2 Trails then give it back the ride was really hard and steering seemed week and the tires was crap like I was on ice. But one upside for the guy that's the owner said he got it used with only 25 miles on it for $8,000 and even stop a order on a can am Renegade xxc . I wish that I could test ride a Sportsman 1000 S I think it would be more to my liking .
I now have this 2020 Scrambler XP1000 S my mind is blown how good this thing really is.
The problem solved he had 10 psi in the tires just made it ride harder and no grip from the tires.
I can safely say that it can run over anything and not even feel it.
Nice
Thanks for watching.
Headlights need to be same color as the light bar. For that kinda money put the rzr head lights on it. 🤔
That guy talking looks like he has never ridden a quad, ever.
Ducati Hyper821 😂😂😂
Finally they upgraded the front diff on their atvs
Upgrade the gauge too, those digital screens suck
That thing is really cool and I like the concept behind it. I would ride it for sure, but the way it looks does not look appealing to me at all
Sport quads and dirt bikes should have the live action shocks like rzrs
To low of rpm when you try to go fast and so it sounds like motor gonna blow like a bomb and not even manual and super weak axels that breaks easily
Man I miss my KFX400 and V-Force 700. I had so many quads over time it was crazy. 4 polaris models 1 BRP and 1 Yamaha Raptor but the first 2 were at least for me the best. And lets not forget how cheap they were back in the day. I think that these IMO are just way to big and overpriced, hell everyone thought my V-force was big but that one was a beast in the trails. Lava red with the black graphic looked amazing and I never had issues with plastic breaking all though I know some people did. Again price and performance back then came in at around 5500$ or less, now days forget it. Same with watercraft. Ugh crazy
Sea-Doo and Yamaha both have some pretty affordable watercraft these days. We remember the V Force 700 very fondly. We would have loved to have seen either a chain driven two wheel drive version or even a four-wheel-drive version to go up against machines like the scrambler.
@@ATVonDemand Yes Sea-Doo and Yamaha have some cheap models like the spark etc but they really are that (cheap) not a performance machine in any way. Just like my atv's I was able to have a ultra150 and 2 XP's 951/1000 and those at most ran for about 7K new. Had a 99 ultra, super fast early model before they detuned them and one 99 and 2000 XP which to me at least was one of the best boats/skis ever made, just had to do you pre ride and post ride maintenance and you really never had a bad day. Boy Sea-Doo really killed off a great hull and fun ride with that one. Now they top models are monsters and cost 17k and up. As for the quads its a lost market in some ways as SXS have really pushed ahead but I'm just rambling here I guess. Ahh the good old days hahaha.
I’m not sure but off the top of my head I don’t think they will fit between the wheel wells of the standard pickup truck
Lol definitely not...so add a new trailer on top of the 14k price tag they want for this thing 😂
Lines hanging out everywhere on the scrambler
Looks like its missing the fenders and front top plastic lol! Its weird looking if you ask me..
You might prefer the aesthetics of the new Sportsman 1000 S
Something I’ve never understood is why there isn’t a factory 60” wide ATV suspension other then aftermarket lift swaps. A 60” 1k anything would dominate at everything. Imagine sidehilling, mountain climbing, rock crawling and desert racing with a 800lbs handle bar’ed stable rig that you can actually rip into turns with and not have massive body roll and tippy feel.
My cforce 800 measures a true 50” track width, my Honda rubicon before that was 47” track width, and you can feel the stability difference for sure. Yeah you can throw a wheel or wheel spacer set on to add a little width but a heavily backspaced wheel and a long control arm set is really what you want! Hey canam, do a 60” one and give Polaris the finger!
This machine gets you pretty darn close.
50 inch is the widest woods trails in michigan if your not counting the giant highway trails. Can only go where trucks and razors go.
@@motonut4503 That's true. They are still offering the 48" Scrambler 850 for that reason.
motonut450 well yeah there is 50” restrictions in every state, but for those who rip in wide open areas like desert or even on the streets threw town there should be a stable wide suspension. At least someone is stepping in that direction now
This is awesome! I can’t believe I’m saying it but I want a Polaris. This is sick! Polaris is changing the game!
Need to get one to Texeira Tech so they can do what they do best!
Yes they do.
We certainly hope that Polaris gives us a chance to see what we can come up with.
Im planning on getting this, where im from we ride on dirt roads on highways, would this be good for highways?
Hey im wondering what you use for music? I need some good non copyright music for a comparsion on our new 2019 renegade to our 2015 scrambler 1000!
Audiojungle, storyblocks, UA-cam's free music service. Those are the places we shop often.
ATVonDemand thanks!
Does it have high and low gears
Yes
You should try to deliver some reliability 🤷♂️
They have. I’ve ridden all types of ATVs because I’m a rec mechanic. Polaris is high up there as long as you treat it right. The machines are in the (self destruction) class. It very hard to make 1000cc machines with perfect reliability. That like using a 1000hp drag car as a daily driver. Things are going to break. If you never ridden Polaris, you should give em a chance. I personally own a Yamaha grizzly 350 4x4 IRS. For me personally it’s all I need.
Franky Alvarez thanks. I just got one. I will be doing a review here shortly.
Armando Sturzenegger I’m well aware you idiot but it isn’t marketed as a 952 now is it? No it falls into the 1000cc categories and if you’re gonna try to be a smart Alec you might as well put some thought behind your words...
monster
Bring back the outlaw 525 👍
Guys what did you say was the overall better machine this scrambler s or the outlander? I would get the gade but there basically the same! I’m getting caught up in both now!
This is tough. The Can-Am is a bit faster. Obviously, it will also do better at negotiating tight spaces. If you typically ride on Trails shared with 60 + inch side by sides and you prioritize stability and suspension travel the Polaris has an edge in that area. If building a jacked-up Mudder is your thing the Polaris looks as though it may be a better platform, although we have not dug into this and cannot say for sure. Love the question. If you have anymore feel free to head us back.
ATVonDemand we ride a mix of everything here but we’ve taken the rs1 through class one trails before and it’s faster than the quads! I think I’m going with the renegade! We’re there any changes from the 19 to 20? I didn’t think anything but plastics! Thanks for the help!
to heavy and to expensive
Seems just as heavy and expensive as every other decked out mud machine everyone is rocking. Bringing long travel suspension to these machines is a nice addition if you want it.
Yeah buddy rolled his renegade and totaled it. The weight just destroyed it lol
Sounds like you broke 🤡
Too!

Idk why but I'm getting back into quads lately. Had a 08 outlaw 525 s. Polaris should make a new one. I'd probably buy it
Ktm was the powerplant in the outlaws doubt they would back polaris again for the small market that it is now days.
@@Kfx450rider11 idk I feel like if I'm getting back into sport quads then allot of others are too. The market might be on the up. And theres like only a few options out . Polaris could get a diff power plant and bring something to market and be one of the only games in town. I'm probably wrong, I admit
@@timtechthunder113 it would be nice for them to bring the sport quads back... the market just turned against them QUICK! .. I mean everyone now days wants billions of hp with 4x4 capabilities. They wanna be able to slide around corners jump ride wheelies and then after that go neck deep in mud. So renegade or scrambler has that do it all capabilities. But I'd like that 350 lb lightweight atv back!! This 800lb stuff isn't gonna fun when ur riding by ur self and u flip it.
I think it's kinda bs that they offer 1000cc quads but not higher displacement side by sides, if you can climb on top of 1k and ride it I think we the consumer deserve a sxs that's 1500-2000cc
If you go over 1k for a SXS I think airbags and a bunch of other stuff is required which in turn will just start adding weight.
@@snapp881 renli makes a 1500, although it's in more of a buggy category to me it's the same thing. No air bags and can also be road legal, I'm sure there's a reason but you get what I'm saying ?
@@onestrangeone2499 makes sense. I just heard that from a few different sources so idk. Lol
Is this one less prone to rolling ?
Our test rider Ed felt like it was more stable than the 48 inch wide Scrambler 1000.
Needs Dynamix. These things are pretty legit. This is the way to ATV especially with many trails growing in size because of SXS.
That was definitely our takeaway having ridden them. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Everyone is talking about trails being only 50" wide. In Wisconsin...there are no restrictions...at least enforced lol. I still ride quads and a couple people in my group still ride 250r and 350x honda 3 wheelers. It really sucks coming around a corner and someone has a 72" wide Razr...it is crazy! These trails were meant for 50" wide 4 wheelers and because of the MONEY rolling in, they just opened almost everything up.
yea all it is a polaris 1000 razr in a atv chassis from the tires to the shocks and the motor are all from a rzr
Then is the ace the opposite
yeah and weighs about as much too
scrambler 1000 motor is totally different from the rzr motors
@@michaelmorgan2880 in this video it says that they are the same
@@nickmcallister5207 well this video is wrong, unless you just misunderstood him... there are absolutely no parts that are interchangeable between the 2 engines... totally different designs altogether...
6:00 holy sway bar links batman
2020 EFI BANSHEE TWIN 500!!!!!
Now you're talking!!!
You didn’t test it on any trails?? How does 55 inches work in the woods
Oh, did you see any trees? We were invited to the test. We did not have machines to take wherever we wanted. As soon as we get our hands on one we will test it in the trees. Thanks for watching.
Same was sxs do
