still the greatest live band around. yes it's sad Dave got fired but this band has always fired on all cylinders. If Dave would've remained in the Band we wouldn't have gotten my personal favorite album No Code as the drumming by Jack Irons is what drove a few of the stand out tracks on there. too many people write this band off thinking that Ten is the only album and Dave was their only decent drummer. I wonder if those people ever watched the Matt Cam on the touring band 2000 and Madison square garden DVDs. He's a powerhouse.
Not only did Dave regularly put on drum clinics each night he was on stage with Pearl Jam, but he can make a 6 string guitar sound like a 12 string....with ease. Best thing that happened to Pearl Jam = forming. Worst thing that happened to Pearl Jam = firing Dave.
its actually really good. i mean when u make 2 perfect albums, ten, vs you cant make music as good as that only music no where as good. just cus the music they make now isnt as good as that doesnt mean its not good. i mean fuck new pearl jam is better than nickleback
without a doubt, pearl jam's most powerful song. always amazed by eddie vedder.
for two guys who allegedly hated each other, they did make beautiful music!

I could write a book as a follow-up. The Matt Cam on TB2k was not particularly impressive. But agreed, that without Irons we wouldn't have No Code.

Dave would have rocked No Code, you wouldn't have noticed any drop, Dave's playing would have driven that album just the same, but it is what it is

I got this via cassette tape in Sept 1995 right after starting college. I thought I hit the gold mine with that bootleg.
