I think Cristian is for some reason expecting one to feel only or mostly positive emotions after achieving a major accomplishment like winning the world championship and not realising that it is normal also to feel depressed after it also because now you still feel the way you feel and the goals and motivation of reaching the pinnacle of your profession are gone since there is no higher title to chase. Having a goal to work towards that you haven’t reached before can be a big motivator for people and most of the positive emotions come from working towards that goal and progress you do on the way and not from actually achieving the ambitious goal.

Poor guy, getting memed around by everyone is kind of sad
Agreed. And everyone piling on like this can't help him if he's battling depression. I wish people simply tried to be more positive and supportive. IF he sees everyone disparaging his play, it sure won't help depression. People are too eager to pile on. Ding, Hans, and surely there are others.
Well, chess is cruel. If you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen
I wish Ding wins World Championship again and shut C² up
The way fabi talks, like to listen to him all day
I thought he was cheating and stopped. Intense guilt he showed when he won against Nepo only gave vibes of a cheater.
maybe, i am suspicious of your read. i think it could be sort of analogous to the feeling michael phelps described after winning 8 gold medals: the crushing weight of expectation and the feeling that its only downhill from here
I so respect what Ding is going through. The cultural pressure is so intense, though it is largely enthusiastic support. For the Championship, we have two countries who produce people with high analytical and logic skills, baked in like breathing. Gukesh has the bravado of youth, Ding second-guesses himself more. He should call on GM Neikens, the coach of the moment for getting past confidence issues.
Fabi is very smart and intelligent.
Both of them? What's the difference?
@@potatoonastick2239 He's also bright, astute, knowledgeable and wise.
Maybe a girlfriend would help?
Ding used to have a girlfriend; they broke up because he focused too much on chess
@@gasaidjohn3499 That sounds entirely believable
could anna help him?
@@gasaidjohn3499what’s the source for this?
Ding was Lucky to defeat NEPO 1. Ding was over rated 2.
