I've just taken delivery of this variant in Cyber Grey, and after a week am delighted with it. The particular vehicle specs were pretty hard to find, and my dealer had to negotiate with another dealer up north to release it and truck it down to Sydney. The design is aggressively futuristic, and Storm Trooper may not be to everyone's taste, but it's certainly attracted quite a few compliments so far.
It's a lot quieter on the road than my other vehicle, a Mazda6, which may partly be a function of the acoustic glass windscreen which comes with the NLine package.
The 1.6 Turbo is very willing, and while not up to the acceleration of the EV variant, I figure I'm less likely to hit any careless pedestrians.
Since the review, Hyundai has put out a software upgrade which allows you to turn off the annoying speed warning with a long press of the mute button on the steering wheel, which is a great relief. This feature, reportedly mandated by the EU, is really annoying when you're legally doing anything over 40Km/H in a school zone out of active hours. Teeth grinding design feature.
I still haven't mastered the rest of the tech features, which are pretty extensive, but am enjoying the learning experience. Five years complimentary access to the Bluelink program is a plus, which gives vehicle tracking and a range of other functions like locking alerts and remote starts, as well as camera activation to see what's happening around your vehicle and taking snaps.

This is a great review! I thought Kona 2024 speedo displayed the actual speed you were going due to the digital display. Is this not the case?
I found this on the Hyundai website
"The digital is within 1 mph of the GPS, so the digital one is the accurate one. "

Ironically, the features boosting ANCAP ratings are reducing safety by constantly interrupting drivers and even turn the steering wheel towards obstacles! Such dangerous features should NOT be in cars in the first place! Tested in Kona Premium, Kona N-Line, Venue Elite. At least driver assistance settings should be saved so driver does not have to change settings every time starting their car.
