Hey Austen! Thank you so much for reviewing the SmokeGENIE for us! Great stuff! About the comments on our price; we get it, we understand that there are cheaper alternatives to making smoke on set! We are sorry our product doesn’t speak well to everyone; we felt we could try explain our case a little better: The true value we are trying to offer with the genie, is not so much smoke itself, but the idea of smoke with minimum downtime and reliable full day performance; we are serving customers where Production Downtime is expensive for them. That's why we are moving our company direction to also serving production-level users, which is a main point of our keynote yesterday! We always believe in the motto: whatever works for you is the best solution! Good engineering and creativity always prevail. And we will continue to make more products that could serve even more users In the future!
@@dobrecristianroLOL you are comparing that piece of cheap knockoff to Smoke Genie? Clearly you don’t do any serious filmmaking. Try taking that ulanzi toy to a set and see if gaffers care. The genie has continuous runtime and coil protection that those cheap knockoffs don’t have. But surely you won’t know would you? To you they are all just vapes.
@@DIYsmartGM I hope you do realize that Ulanzi is a way bigger and more respectable company than this obscure "PMI" firm, right? :) Regarding being a knockoff, no, it's a complete different machine. Nothing is knocked off from SmokeGenie. And yes, these machines are just vapes with pumps for the smoke.
@@dobrecristianro God you can’t be serious. If you actually do any proper filmmaking…you’ll know the only thing ulanzi is “big” in the industry is known for making cheap, unusable knockoffs of other proper brands like Zhiyun and Rode 😂 good luck finding any ulanzi products on a filmset. PMI is like everywhere in production studios and rental houses; its funny how you’re calling it obscure probably because you’ve likely never be on a set before.
It kind of seems high, but at the same time, I have used full size hazers and they are a pain to setup and a lot to lug around. The aerosol cans produce a bit of funk that settles and you cannot travel with them. The beauty of this being able to travel with them and you could fill a space very quickly if you put them across the room from each other. Because they are remote you can also stuff them inside things and run them, like a refrigerator so when the door opens the fog comes out. You cannot do this with cans cleanly. My hunch is that most of the people complaining have not had much experience with hazers in general or they would get it.
Some nice upgrades, thanks for the video! Does this have any issues with getting "gummed up" or clogged or anything like typical foggers? I've been fighting with some less expensive foggers and wondering how this model does. Also, do you know if these are available on Amazon in the US? Have some gift cards and might be a good gift to buy myself. 😎
I havent had any issues with the older model just the continuous use but it seems to be fixed with this newer model but I have only had it for a few days so who knows with time. Still one of my favorite devices!
Hi, I'm a buyer from South Korea using SmokeGENIE. Thank you so much for the great video. I am mainly using the product for particle generation in my experiments. I would like to know the particle diameter of the smoke produced when using the 120ml cloud formula. I would really appreciate your response. Have a nice day.
Will this product leave a problematic residue on electronic equipment? While PMI's website says on "haze mode" it won't, everything I've read online suggests these types of machines always leave a residue which builds over time. While the smoke may be visually appealing, I'm not sure it's worth subjecting electronics in the vicinity to damage.
I know its a bummer you can get teh stand alone one for around 500 I believe which is cheaper then most lights just depends on how often you use it. I use mine on every shoot so it was worth the purchase.
cmon dude this thing is like $700 bucks. i know you gotta push your affiliate marketing in exchange for the free shit, but find viewers a more realistic and less overpriced vape to push. the noise alone can be a dealbreaker for a lot of shooting scenarios.
I bought my original one and love it I don’t have an affiliate link for it l. If it’s to expensive it’s not for you. I really like mine and that’s why I’m willing to review it

Interested in this, but it all looks like fog to me. Do they have an haze settings and liquid?
Very cool product if the budgets allows, but atmospheric aerosol seems good enough in most cases. Great video, and I love the stache 👌🏼
Yeas thats a solid alternative!!
genius product!
It’s really impressive for how small it is! I have enjoyed mine for the last yeah!
Waaaaaay too expensive for me! 😢💸

Lemme just go sell a kidney....
Both kidneys haha
All 3
Where did you get the full 3 piece bundle?
Lol@ that price...
Man the price for this big e cigarette is ridiculus
This is awesome and I want one, but need income to suggest this 😅 like and subscribe 😂
They are sweet and a bit expensive again just depends on how often you would use it.
Lmao
That’s a clone kangertech tank as the “chamber”
759,00€... WTF?
They have the standalone one for 500 I believe but yes its not cheap
Ist ja ein tolles, superrkleines Gerät. Aber 759,00 € bei amazon Deutschland ist ja wohl der Hammer.

This is just a big vape inverted how curius
looks like a regular vape canister.
4:31 it seems fair and honest of you to say that, but you are also illegally required to do so.
So this is basically an ad.
