Struggling to use the entry level canon r50 and kit lens for cinematic shots, seeming very difficult. Anyway I love your contents, I pray I save more to get these items listed.
I’m a Production Assistant/behind the scenes. I got a black magic 6K pro RS three gimbal and I’ve only got these two lenses. I got a 50 mm I got a 70 to 200 mm then I got 18 to 280 mm. I want to fill myself with it. I like your slider. It’s pretty dope. I want to create content like that’s not just for myself but for other people.
Great video, so many of us have tight budgets and I really appreciate you testing these budget items so it takes some of the risk out of budget purchases. Thank you!
Hi @ the 15:30 mark in the video could tell us which tripod you are using? I like the fact it appears to go quite high. I am tall and trying to find a really good tall tripod has not been easy. The only piece of gear you I might consider is fog machine I figure I can buy my own and there are peeps her that could use it more than me. From time to time I tune into your video since I quite like your content, it is DOPE so keep up the good work my man. The monitor is also cool, that is spoken for so I will peace out. Thanks!!!

It was overkill, and just shows that the poster of this video, has no idea how to light a scene, or use “smoke”. It looks like cheap television on steroids minus the lighting. The particulates of these Halloween (glycerin and water based) foggers are way too thick, don’t hang the same and don’t look as great on camera as traditional haze. And you should definitely never use this much of it. From a professional standpoint, it looks incredibly cheap and lazy. You can buy a cheap stick of incense for a nickel, and waft that around a room and achieve a much better look. It’s a wonder why not a single UA-cam “budget filmmaker” ever talks about these things…could it be they are just pushing crap their sponsors want you to buy? 🤔 But if you insist on having a fog machine, they cost $30 off the shelf. This look should be subtle and only used on certain occasions to add depth to a space. And if you’re looking for a dramatic effect from it, like a mist rolling across the ground or something, you’re looking in the wrong part of UA-cam for ideas. It’s wild to me to see so many people thinking that thick fog looks cinematic or dramatic, because it’s a trend with UA-camrs. You really want to look like everyone else? Or is it just another toy you’ll never use?

I have the long slider from GVM.... Just so happen that they moved into the warehouse next to my old job here in Philly.... Walked next door, told the warehouse worker I ordered a slider from GVM. He told me to cancel the order and he let me buy for $99
The fog machine is really nice, it reminds me of the Smoke S Fog machine, with similar features. Cheap portable monitors have become really usable in the last year and this one is a perfect example.
Man. Bag alone is good to go. Being a guy that carry’s a lot on him, and doesn’t want to look as if I’m carrying anything this would help keep me from being crazy noticeable while carrying my camera gear. The lens is dope, and would be great to add to anyones collection, and that smoke machine adds so much character that it’s a no brainer.

I just wanted to let you know that I have started my journey into filmmaking. I plan to purchase as much as possible from your list, and I want to thank you for inspiring me to get started. I will be documenting my learning process from November 2024 to August 2025, during which I plan to compete in a competition. I too tried the KF filter due to the low price, but i felt like it never gave me the same look/feel the Tiffen black pro mist did...so i went back to the black pro mist.
@Galliun Gamer What up my man, first video that I have found of you and it’s super awesome. Me and my 2 friends love to make short films and are recently getting into it more. I bout my fist camera the ZV-E10 and a Tamron 17-70 zoom lenses for it. I just ordered some new gear today and can’t wait for it to come in. Defiantly subscribing and coming back to see what gear I can get for cheap!!
I put the fog machine in my cart. But the sling bag demo cracked me up! Its like the clown car of camera bags! You kept pulling out gear like it was a bottomless pit. Always enjoy your videos.
I use the zeapon micro 2 camera slider that has a motorized pan tilt that works with an app that you can program every bit of movement and it’s nice and small but well made. I’ll send them. I think I paid a little over $600. But I’ve used that atmosphere haze working with some volleyball players and the one girl slipped on the floor because that atmosphere haze leaves a serious film on top of the floor that makes it like ice. So I switch to a fog machine that I could use either quit dispersing fog or long lasting fog. But that haze machine that you just showed looks like, it’s a great investment. Thanks for sharing.
Concerning mounting the slider on the tripod, one can get a tripod head with a quick release plate it makes life very easy, screwing the slider on the tripod can wear out the screw quickly.
I've ben there and bought the T-Shirt with sliders, gimbals, GoPros, Camera cages, etc etc, In the end I have a decent camera (Panasonic S5ii and 50mm f1.8 lens) A half cage so I can put on a top handle and mount a wireless mic receiver. A good HEAVY tripod, And a mic in a blimp on a boom pole. Connected to the camera wirelessly. That's pretty much it. When I separated out everything I wasn't using that's all was left.
Definitely grabbing the portable fogger. I've been looking for a good one. On top of that, I have the GVM slider and used it in my short film. The shot I used the slider in was the topic of discussion considering I shot the film completely solo. Everyone wanted to know how I shot that scene. Now Im thinking perhaps i should use my slider more often, especially for my vlogs.
I am liking your filmography style and you can tell that you know what you are doing, I like the price of the camera slide unit and I am surprised at the low cost as I have history in selling the component parts that these slides are constructed from. I do a bit of filming work but work to the idea of keeping it simple,so I use an iPhone with a mount that allows it to be fixed to several sizes of tripods and has a hot shoe mount for a shotgun microphone and I get great results and feedback.
The slider looks dope but that portable fog maker is the bees knees! I could see myself using that often. I shoot music videos and edm shows, interviews, portraits, etc. I’ve got no socials so can’t win; but I like your videos and just wanted to give props!
before watching your videos i was thinking hard about letting go of something i know im passionate about and ive been working extra hard to get the proper gear now im kinda feeling motivated
I always wanted a slider like that but when I got close to that noise I had to nope the heck outta there, but THAT fog machine is cool! So great! And the bag man! Wo, thanks for showing all this!
There’s definitely a few things here that I plan on jumping on. Thanks. I’d like to make a recommendation. Neewer has a remote 3 wheel camera dolly for under $80. I’d recommend adding a ball head, but it’s still a bargain. It can work track or trackless and is amazingly versatile and steady.

Damn. I really like Your journey from UA-cam to stable work. It is inspiring. I do notice Your face looks calm on record now. It sucks that You don't have someone, You can just talk about YT and how hard it can be sometimes.
Seriously appreciate what you’re doing on the regular it’s helped me learn what I want to do with film making and video production. That camera slider would be big help .
I had that slider and I thought it was great... for the price. I didn't find it to be all that loud, certainly nothing some clarity vx or Resolve isolation can't easily knock out. There were 3 things in particular I didn't like about it. One is that the pan adjustment rod bends so it's hard to get a linear pan. They should have used a rigid aluminum bar. Two is that the control unit (which I believe has been redesigned) was just bad. It was harder to program than it should have been and what's worse is it didn't automatically stop the slider at the end of the rails so it would often keep trying to go when it hit the hard stops, surely burning the motor. Finally, the path isn't perfectly repeatable. By that I mean that each pass is slightly different such that it can't be used for creating a motion clean plate. This is moot if it's just shooting with motion. But compared to a $2,500 Rhino, this is a no brainer.
I am a budget shoper and especially for one off items, if we dont use them often a lot of times so keeping it cheap is best. I want a macro rail more than a slider, I would like a slider but with 8K filming I feel like I can do most of the effect just in post. Got some cheap mist filters I like them mostly for night time shots with neons and stuff, but they can also help smooth skin for portraits. I actually just got I think the exact same fog machine but cheaper and a different brand (have not tested it yet) I was using a halloween fog machine before and its really hard to use in a controlled fashion. Also Pro Tip: you can make your own fog juice super cheap and it works BETTER than the stuff you can buy. Just got a cheap monitor for my camera not long ago too, and bags lol its so strange that I got almost everyting you have in this video. I need to chill though, I am starting to look like a horder with so much stuff everywhere.
Thank you for uploading this! I am always looking for affordable gear that can help me advance my filmmaking skills. I’m bummed about the price of the slider not being available for $179 anymore.
I'm grabbing that Viltrox monitor. I actually hate using external monitors, but recently I did a small film where I just couldn't see anything outside, so I decided to break down and grab one. This one looks awesome, I'm going to find it. Thanks for sharing.
It’s crazy that I thought everything in this video would’ve been thousands of dollars. & the portable fog/haze machine is a must. Gotta add that to my cart.
I just bought the Viltrox monitor for my BMPCC 6K Pro and there's a huge difference between what the monitor displays and what the camera screen shows, it's way more contrasty. I only use it for framing really, so it's all good. The focus peaking seems slightly off vs the camera as well. It might just be my model to be fair as all I hear are good things about it (hence the purchase). Everything else with it is top notch.
GREAT REVIEWS! Love some of what you found. I will be picking up the small hazer/fogger. Also thanks for the info on the Canned Hazer leaving residue. I did not know that. You give great info. Love your videos.
I’m a photographer that is starting to lean into the video side of things. I have both the Viltrox pro and lite in my Amazon cart. Just haven’t pulled the trigger yet
The fogger is basically a beefed up vape. Probably is using a coil or ceramic coil inside to rapidly heat up some Vg/PG mixture (which is typically what all fog machines use). Pretty neat to see though. I have used my vape in the past in a pinch for smoke effects and it works well.
Man bro has been dropping so much quality content for so long and now he's giving us gear hahaha. Would love that portable fog machine for my filmmaking!

That fog machine is so convenient when if comes to anything visual!! That monitor for the price is actually bomb! Awesome video
That fog machine has just saved me so much time searching! thanks buddy!!
Used to watch your videos years ago when I was getting into filming music videos. This just came across my feed, glad to see you're still killing it!
I'm grabbing that Viltrox monitor. I actually hate using external monitors, but recently I did a small film where I just couldn't see anything outside, so I decided to break down and grab one. This one looks awesome, I'm going to find it. Thanks for sharing.
Love my Viltrox dc550 pro- highly recommend
love the smoker /haze machine man!
Appreciate the video I was on the fence about getting a portable fog machine
The GVM slider is definetly clutch. I have one too. I always like watchinng these types of videos. Always gives me ideas
Thanks for all of your work, definitely an inspiration.
GREAT REVIEWS! Love some of what you found. I will be picking up the small hazer/fogger. Also thanks for the info on the Canned Hazer leaving residue. I did not know that. You give great info. Love your videos.
Dope video!! Thanks for providing value with these affordable products.
I love all of this stuff the slider monitor and fog machine looks incredible love your stuff thanks
do you need to buy the special smoke fog liquid from Ulanzi everytime or can you fill the smoke machine with any smoke liquid?
The stand out for me was the portable fog machine. A good buy indeed
Thanks for the video. My daughter is getting into content creation and I am sharing this video with her.
Might gotta get that fog blaster myself
Very cool filming tricks. Wow man great job
I have used many of Viltrox's products and I can speak to their quality. Definitely a budget gem.
That haze machine would’ve been amazing for my last shoot, and I’ve been looking for a decent budget slider!
@teamezephotography This fog machine is a game changer for some of us who do most of our contents in our small home studios and don’t have the budget to get a big fog machine. Great video 👍
Motivation. And inspiration to get started being more creative. Thank you.
when i was 14 years old you had around 30k subs. this growth is wild
Great video and finds! Definitely interested in that monitor and possibly fogger
Man that fog machine you advised is dope.. I'm getting that for sure! Thanks
That missed filter and that fog maker are pretty cool and handy
Got also this Ulanzi Smoker ! this is a Game Changer for Cinematic Shots I Love It❤
Yo, just went to San Diego and that Bag would have fit the bill but summer is coming in STRONG. AWESOME REVIEW!!! Thanx
Awesome channel and thank you for giving your honest reviews. Crazy, I never really thought about a slider until you made it make sense. Keep creating and thank you for keeping to your true self with your messages.
that fog machine was a great suggestion bro, thanks
Been eyeing a handheld fogger
Fog machine or slider would be insane 🔥 Love your work
The gvm slider is probably my fave!
I appreciate GVM, I have their batteries and lights. It helped me when I was starting out in the beginning.
What liquid uses the portable fog? Water??? Ty ❤
@daniel.kba That fog machine looks dope! The slider´s not bad aswell. Those definitely level up your filmmaking game. Especially as a solo producer. Great Review man
The natural surprise at the end was golden 👌🏿
