Congrats. When you were handed the time slip, I'm not sure what you said at first..... but the fact it took time to process your emotions was priceless, that run was awesome Steve
Camera man’s questions are usually the correct intelligent question just when we are all asking. Adds a lot to the video because it’s like we are having a conversation directly with Steve. Keep it up it’s great 👍
One thing I try to have is the rear tires be just out of the water when you start the burnout. The water can spray up into the fender liner and drip back down on the clean slick and track. At this HP, it doesn't take much to upset the combination.
Vibration takes care of all that during the burn out and drive out. Fronts are dry quick and any left on the track from the fronts is gone from the burn out and drive through. The only time it's a problem is when there is a 4 foot fkn pond of water from dummies, and even then, drive it out further.
@@dannotwalruslarkin9324 I was a tech inspector and starter at a local truck. It can and does happen. Pulling just out of the water is the best insurance. I have seen the water dripping down from the tubs while they're staging. It was rare, but it happened.
Lol...she was "loose" because she was _COOKING!!!!_ 🏎️💨 😅👌🏻 She's damn ready, she's like "WTF are these little baby azz runs Steve, I need to stretch my legs and _RUN!!!_ " 🤣
If SS has rear disk brakes, just need to add another caliper (two calipers/rotor) in the rear. This was a 90s trick for racing in foot brake, when rear disk brakes were still new. GL
4.16 is haulin the mail for a big wagon 👍 getting slower as the day warms. Pull the park brake up in the blazer, its cable! . I've gone 1.5s on just convertor doing that.
Also, you hear how fast now all your multiple gates are working? Lol... when you were doing your burnout, you could hear it blowing off multiple times every time you feathered the throttle....it sounded great.... I don't think I recall boost being blown off that fast and precise like that before.... gotta listen back and pay attention to it, sounds awesome.... even more awesome than Tom's turbos spooling _down_ on the far end
😂 in the Blazer, “seemed pretty slow.” 😂you know you have been desensitized to speed when you say that about a killer street car hahaha. It Sounded sweet going down the track. Great day all around Steve. Congratulations
Im in the last 5 minutes of the video in the blue shirt with the straw hat, was so sick seeing you and tom run, seen the cars a handful of times but never got to see a pass!
Those blow off valves did the trick...and now youre just Havin Fun...Driven & Tuning. Hard work pays off...4.16. Congrats man..!! ..plus you had good calibrations on everybodies Cars. Looks like Good Days for all... :)
I hope Sack breaks the habit of sawing at the wheel before he wads up that beautiful car. You can see the car jerking from left to right all the way down the track. The car starts off going straight and then starts darting.
Instead of a line loc on the Trail Blazer, How about a second set of manual valve body calipers on the front wheels, with a hand brake in the cab? You could even put a line loc solenoid on that setup too.
My go to for power brakes is a vp555 pump and a vpr700 tank. Works really well and super simple to wire in. Assuming youre still factory calipers theyre just not big enough without a master/caliper swap its hard not to drive through them. Set of ebc blues may get you most of the way there.
4.16 and the other 2 cars Congrats Steve Sir. Nate, Even a camera guy can drive it roflmao. Those 3 cars will be Bad Ass at Sick Week this year. Also Vals Car if it ever gets done. The camera looking at those 20In FAT BOYS was freaking great
4.16?? you are going to hit the threes and with that weight that’s just absolutely incredible!!! I want to put a bunch of explicit for how excited I am for everyone’s program right now and what you have going on, but I’ll save that to my whole hearted enjoyment of dragracing and people making amazing stuff happen and not giving up!!!
Happy to see the progress with the wagon! Good to see Tom going straight and not shaking everything into oblivion too. Can’t wait to the Nova get dialed in.
This will sound sacrilegious...but a 100 hp shot of nitrous off the hit for the first 4 seconds of the run will get the Blazer where she needs to be. 👍
Making the branches for the blow offs look like branches on a tree would be functional and kinda a built-in dad joke. Air wants to turn at about 30° before it wants to shear across the opening of the tap and create turbulence, making the hole a lot smaller.
Should be super proud of that 60 ft time...to get a car that heavy to run 1s... planting something like 2000 hp on launch takes some real chassis tuning.
Idea: What's the chance of putting the time slip in the corner with pic in pic? It all goes to fast when you read them out. Keep up the good work I'm rapidly becoming addicted to SME.
Are you checking the track for mechanical adhesion? Is the rubber lifting? Track temperature? Wheel speed vs vehicle movement? Tire roll out? Fun fun fun till your daddy takes the T-Bird away.. hahaha Great job in making these cars fly down the 1320
if you convert the daily to hydro assist brakes instead of vaccum assist brakes you wont have issues with the boost lowerding brake bressure which is pretty cool on AND off track
Steve,I want to shake your hand, your wagon is not a turd, but if it must be a turd,it's the fastest turd for sure. Keep polishing ,thanks for a great video, the undercar shots were great, lots going on there we don't usually see.
Man what a fun day with the boys making hit after hit with engines you have build. Could the imperfections in the cylinders from the screw cause hot spots that could start to melt or damage the piston further? Just thinking of a cutting torch, much easier to cut metal if you can heat up an imperfection on the surface of the metal.
That was a great run Steve awesome on 1st run ! I would think you would adjust upper, and lower bar of a four link to drive right to keep that right side uniform and not change pinion angle but just drive the car right with uniform axle adjustment... Then on your 2nd run would of thought should of not adjusted timing and went ahead, and run to see if with same tune it would run straight and see if that corrected the rear steer under same power now you've lost your read on steer because of timing change... It did run nice and straight on that second run, and sounded good and clean run. Third run looked good got left to center line but looked like a start of tire shake but didn't but think you might of come off throttle toward end. 4th run yeap tire shake maybe add some lead weight directly over rear axle even though the car is heavy add weight on rear axle because you've got the horse power you just have to load your rear axle more with weight to settle it down.
So cool to see how excited you in this video. It's awesome to see that you guys had a great test session and nothing broke and you guys were getting some great times. Can't wait to see how you expand on how quick that car is
Hey Steve could you do a day and life with Steve.anyone else interested in this hit the like so he will see it
I would if enough interest.
I think that is a great idea.
Why you wanna see Steve eat his wheaties and take his morning constitutional?
💀@@regal105
I pretty much watch anything posted on the channel so sounds good to me.
Steve the look on your face when you looked at the 4.16 ti.e slip was awesome.
Congrats. When you were handed the time slip, I'm not sure what you said at first..... but the fact it took time to process your emotions was priceless, that run was awesome Steve
What the fudge
Camera man’s questions are usually the correct intelligent question just when we are all asking. Adds a lot to the video because it’s like we are having a conversation directly with Steve. Keep it up it’s great 👍
New shirt “SO EASY A CAMERA CAN DRIVE IT!”
Wow. 4.16. Congrats!! And That SML Cowboy Up Nova!!! Heck yea!!
Looks like the Nova will be a serious competitor for Goldstone. That thing can wil Ultimate Iron.
Nice to see Bailey's car going straight again. Y'all were flying

I think it's more of a suspension issue

"Touch my drive-shaft curve" -Steve Morris. 😂
😂
Tshirt. I'm buying it.
So awesome to see how excited you were on that 4.16 pass after all the struggles you have had it’s awesome to see that hard work paid off
The joys of just getting out to the track with zero pressure shows on everybody's faces. Cheers!
Lol...she was "loose" because she was _COOKING!!!!_ 🏎️💨 😅👌🏻

If SS has rear disk brakes, just need to add another caliper (two calipers/rotor) in the rear. This was a 90s trick for racing in foot brake, when rear disk brakes were still new. GL
Or just upgrade to a much better single caliper from the stock pieces.
14:32 The grill on the nova. Single turbo huh 😂
Steve looked like a kid getting his first bike when he saw the 4.16 slip
Thanks for taking us along Steve.
Look at that smile. You earned it.
4.16 is haulin the mail for a big wagon 👍 getting slower as the day warms. Pull the park brake up in the blazer, its cable! . I've gone 1.5s on just convertor doing that.
I love seeing when Steve gets excited
Steve has anyone ever told you that 4:16 is fast for a school bus?:-)
Really cool💪
Good one

reminded my of the older indy cars with the pop off valve
Thanks again for the entertainment ,I gotta say this horsepower addiction is the greatest from Cali, Dancing Manny's Burrito Coverings and ChevyII's
This video is so good! I can't stop watching!
Michigander power... Awesome. Great job.
... you betcha
😂 in the Blazer, “seemed pretty slow.” 😂you know you have been desensitized to speed when you say that about a killer street car hahaha. It Sounded sweet going down the track. Great day all around Steve. Congratulations
By golly I love seeing automobiles goin fast
You three should do your own drag week right now
Nice to see that car running down the track again!!
Keep it up!
Im in the last 5 minutes of the video in the blue shirt with the straw hat, was so sick seeing you and tom run, seen the cars a handful of times but never got to see a pass!
The BoostWagon is on a mission! Can’t wait to see what the the Cowboy Up Nova is capable of. Sick Week’s gonna be awesome next year.
A little bit of Velcro on the back of Tom's gas pedal,LOL
Stevia morris is a badass no doubt
Nitrous... lol "Babies get bottles but men get blown". My motto for 30+ years.
Those blow off valves did the trick...and now youre just Havin Fun...Driven & Tuning.
Hard work pays off...4.16.
Congrats man..!!
..plus you had good calibrations on everybodies Cars. Looks like Good Days for all... :)
Really enjoy those rear facing views going down the track.😎👍
I bet the original blow offs would be enough to handle the surge now that they're in the proper spot
Ya but as a failsafe they are still needed.
Very cool to see the tires in the burn out.
A harsh when Tom shakes the tire…
LOVE the rear facing wheelie bar cam
Finally some SML content
Thats a new camera guy t-shirt concept!
8:00 the anticipation of Steve reading the time was epic! ha ha great job. I love the Wagon.
I hope Sack breaks the habit of sawing at the wheel before he wads up that beautiful car. You can see the car jerking from left to right all the way down the track. The car starts off going straight and then starts darting.
I've never seen Steve more happy!
Where the intake tubes meet the actual intake cover looks nuts, literally looks like a marine setup on a big ship
Tom still chasin Wagons even as an adult...........but it is a really fast Wagon .lol
Your videos are amazing and love seeing the additional video angles.
Congratulations on the 4:16! That is flying!
The wagon is one of the best cars on UA-cam.
Instead of a line loc on the Trail Blazer, How about a second set of manual valve body calipers on the front wheels, with a hand brake in the cab? You could even put a line loc solenoid on that setup too.
Those far south mounted turbos are really hurting the Tahoe. Still a sweet wipe. Great progress overall. Happy for you all.
My wagon is slow, says the man sitting in the back seat 😂
i noticed that the brakes don't need pumping. someone said the look on your face was priceless, i concur.
For the Trail Blazer see about adding hydra-boost for your brakes to increase the pedal pressure
In a freakin wagon. Billy badapple wagon of course, but 4:16 in the wagon! Let’s go boys!!
Coolest car on UA-cam.
Need to make your boost tubes look like logs with bark on it.
You can tell Steve needed to read it 4 times then let it sink in. 8:07

Nice to see the 4.16 sec 1/8

14:04 Didn't know Will Sasso had a smaller twin brother, huh!
lol “4.19 …almost as fast as the wagon”
Love your work steve.. great attitude, happy relaxed.. convinced i need an sml now for the jet boat!!
Sweet view from the wheelie bar
4.16?? you are going to hit the threes and with that weight that’s just absolutely incredible!!! Need a calendar for the 60’ on the trailblazer! lol
Love what y’all do
Came here to say add hydroboost brakes to the Trailblazer. I saw a turbo Silverado that can build 10psi foot braking to launch racing here.
Good job steve, nice to see all your hard work pay off some!
Thanks 👍
@@stevemorrisracingno problem brother, appreciate the content as well!

Did you miss where he said, two different times, the SS is on pump gas and waste gate? Street tune. No need for Nitrous.
Hancock to the cops under siege "GOOD JOB!" GOOD JOB , STEVE MORRIS!!!! FMT( EDITED FOR THE KIDS IN THE AUDIENCE) FMF!
Making the branches for the blow offs look like branches on a tree would be functional and kinda a built-in dad joke. Air wants to turn at about 30° before it wants to shear across the opening of the tap and create turbulence, making the hole a lot smaller.

Can’t do it now but good idea we usually try to do that
Your work on this is so clear!
Did say it on the missing screw video..."if it goes fastest ever will you put screws in every cylinder" 🤣
Trailblazer needs some nitrous to spool the turbo off the line.
Yup, insta boost
Steve, maybe that’s all the track would give you as the day went on. 4.16 was earlier in the day when things were cooler.
8:10 first time I’ve ever seen Steve happy about his 60’ and 1/8 lol killer run
So many Valves. Will be called Steve Morris Pipeworks LOL
Are you checking the track for mechanical adhesion? Is the rubber lifting? Track temperature? Wheel speed vs vehicle movement? Tire roll out? Fun fun fun till your daddy takes the T-Bird away.. hahaha
Great job in making these cars fly down the 1320
"So easy even the camera guy can drive it."
Steve, this HAS to make it on a t-shirt! 😂😁🤘
Hydroboost for the brakes. On the TBSS. It will stop better than the vacuum assist as well.
I'd like to see you run a pass while taking all your vital signs. I think it'd be pretty cool.
if you convert the daily to hydro assist brakes instead of vaccum assist brakes you wont have issues with the boost lowerding brake bressure which is pretty cool on AND off track
@6:50 , you threw the Shoots and the Face mask dropped , LOL Added Extra protection !
Steve,I want to shake your hand, your wagon is not a turd, but if it
must be a turd,it's the fastest turd for sure.
Keep polishing ,thanks for a great video, the undercar shots were great, lots going on there we don't usually see.
You was looking for 418 and got a 416 that's crazy .... The horses was ready to gallop😂😂😂
Hey Steve, I wonder if you would have just made the chassis adjustment and left the tune-up alone what it would have run. I mean after the 4 16 run
No matter what "they" say, that is one seriously FAST brick. Steve that is one gorgeous wagon. And it goes like stink.
That's some fast cars. Well done.

Congrats on the success all around Steve!! We need to see the new tattoo though.
When done
Congrats Steve! 4.16! You're soooo close to 3's, and we know there's more left in the tank.
Every track needs a Sam. We’re spoiled having him at Martin.
Meechigan guy with a Bama hat on. He’s a keeper!
With all those gates on the charge air pipes, there’s more possible boost leaks.

You should have a one way valve on your booster. Hook 2 step to brake switch so you can build boost. Used my truck like that for years

Could consider using hydro-boost brakes on the blazer. Maybe that could help?
