cant wait until the company fails and I am sitting on a bunch of useless cameras and no way to monitor my house unless I go out and buy another security system! I love living in current times.....
@@Disbird don’t buy them problem solved have a good one dude!
" It's like your fathers love for ya... it's faint but it's there....". That's gold!!!
He saw the legendary Rapossomat! Half rat, Half opossum, Half cat. I am shocked you still have both your nipples after an encounter with that beast.
He's super serial guys.
Technically it’d be third rat, third opossum, third cat…but yeah, definitely a Rapossomat 😉
@@johnlaw5762 It would but i was making a SOuth Park reference, Senthiuz got it :D
I'm a sentimental old guy. It does my heart good to see you nurse this old bike back to health. It's nice when people honor the things you love and admire. Thank you.
Hope you know you’re a downright inspiration for every aspiring bike mechanic.
Dan wafting the motorcycle fart made me exhale slightly harder through my nose
🥲that was exquisitely put.
Love the effort put into the sponsor ads 😂 I actually don’t skip them
Thank you Dan for your witty comments and excellent film work, folk forget about it. 👍🏴
When I was a kid I "borrowed" a friend's KV75. I rode it about ten miles to another friends house were upon arrival it siezed. I took a baseball bat and wailed on the kick starter until it freed itself. Rode it back, stealthily put it back in my friends garage and never told him.
With friends like these...
@EstebanDVO those were oil injected, unlikely it was your fault
Now it's in Greg's garage 😂
I'd have fixed the air compressor first.
@@mostafameerzad4144 Hey man, it ran like a top when I was done.
You have me saving for a 2t bike to relive my youth. Keep up the good work and inspiration
So satisfying watching Craig get these old gems running. I really appreciate ppl who save this old technology. I have my own project in the shed. It's Russian and runs a 6V system. This channel absolutely rocks, keep 'em coming gentlemen. Thank you.
Ural?Kneper?
We used to use half a broken ring to clean out the groove like a scraper.
Craig you seriously make me laugh and are a funny dude.
I'm a level 2 maintenance mechanic at a paper mill aka IP
And I can relate to your thinking and doing. It's awesome to see that your not only schooling people but your also making a connection.
God bless you and looking forward to more vidoes
Please sell a t-shirt that says, "Big Hammer, Piece of Wood, and Nothin' Better to do."
Craig! I'm gonna start a channel called "Carb cleaners anonymous" gonna be masked person, just cleaning carbs for every video! No talking. No looking at the camera. Just 20 carbs per video! 10 videos per week! And then we'll see who cleans the most carbs! 🤨😂😂😂
Broken rings make the perfect scraper for the ring lands
I got a cheap JR80 because the owner thought he blew it. Turns out upon dismantling for new piston rings I noticed the exhaust was very very oily . Turns out he was running oil in the fuel as well as the oil injector unit and totally clogged up the muffler . Bike ran great for years after 😂
I say a lot of your subscribers would gladly take on a project like this!
You should do a how to on storage of motorbikes, so bearded mechanic jr gets a easier life.🤣🤣🇬🇧🏍️🏍️👍
if it’s going to sit in a uncontrolled climate, fog the cylinders, drain all the gas drain the carb and put good oil in it while it sits. refog the cylinder once every 4 months depending on how humid your state is.
I felt that sense of joy too Craig when it idled.... cool
Then that stall cracked me up 😅
Thanks Craig and Dan. You guys do awesome stuff and I pretty much restore bikes the same way you do, money spent as needed but saved as not. Been sat on a Suzuki ds100 that I’m trying to restore for less than £500 but been procrastinating. This has given me some motivation to get outside to the shed. Thanks from over the pond. 🇬🇧
Sorry for breaking the piston rings, Craig. But that's what you get for making me work nights.
Something magical about the sound of a two stroke twin. Good job! Thanks for sharing!
You had me going with your little Celine Dion remix about starting the bike lol
The Samurai’s and Avengers are super cool but INSANELY hard to find engine parts for em. My shop had a 350 avenger race bike that was a monster!
2vintage might have cleaned more carbs on youtube
Came here to say this, but also to add that Craig and Dan have at least 1 million times more personality than 2vintage!
@@austincliftproductions you are right, I was only speaking about the carb cleaning
Craig! I to recently got an ear and sinus infection! Went swimming... long story short... my head exploded out of my ear drums and now I'm about 60% deaf...
That samurai is a beauty looking of a bike!!
Absolutely love it! Was great to see it running again after being flooded and seized.
too many entertaining highlights in this video to pick just one. I have to say the idea to work Simplisafe into the plot is excellent.
I had several kawasaki 2 strokes back in the late 60's. these videos bring back many great memories.
Oh that Greg is such a rapscalion. 😂
That was, hands down, the best segue to an advertisement ever😂😂!
Excellent again Craig and Dan. The Laurel and Hardy of the bike-trade😂
0:11 Parallel-twin? Surely not.
When I comment to you, usually I pause the play and feel compelled to say, "Right there! Craig just said, "But I like this Bike!!""
Well I have one of those I'm working on, but it's a 1984 Virago 700. Free to me! And my first was a 67 305 Honda Scrambler, and underwater basket case left for 6 months. All engine parts glued together with Permatex hard setting. Just sayin' "Craig? I totally get it. I like the bike!!!" And your channel!
Man you need a extraction fan in the shop that last bit with all smoke is hilarious hah
watching you clean those pistons and the thought come, "how much of that sheet is going into the crankcase?"
Perfect way to start my Friday!
Dan’s the Man! …. When is Dan getting his t-shirt collection released? I told you so,by Dan.
17:54 ..I always thought they looked difficult to mess with and was scared to open them up for the longest time..but then after I bought my first replacement one for my bike I just went ahead and opened the stock one up and attempted to clean it one day and now It’s super nice and clean and works again and also have a spare now, even though they cost like $30..It was nice to learn that they are so easy to do as long as you remember how it comes apart 😂
That Craigfucious moment was a beautiful imitation of Heel-Up Harris. lol
You guys are a riot Reminded me of Jeff Foxworthy's bit about courtesy sniffs!
looks really clean no rust mud slime residue...flooded
I never skip ahead. Otherwise I'll miss the shenanigans!!!
As far as the compressor is concerned, an old boss of mine said: Never switch of a compressor mid cycle and dump the tank if you're not going to use it for a while. I hope that this is helpful
Thanks for ending the video in an absolute fog of smoke! Par for the course. 😂
That's a really cool bike...great to see it running
No sir 2vintage has cleaned hundreds of cruddy Carbs. But you are the funniest to ever do it.
I don't know Craig 2vintage might have you beat with the carb cleaning on UA-cam.but you make carbs fun 😊.
Craig is the Matt Walksler of Japanese vintage bikes!
I only know this because I did it a month ago but if you take those pistons and soak it in a can of carburetor parts cleaner that comes in a paint can from the parts store it's got a little basket in it those Pistons will come out looking brand spanking new
Okay I volunteer…I’ll fly there and help you around the shop to get some of the table tops cleaned off! It’s my pleasure
"If everything made sense, things that made sense, would simply make sense and over time things that made sense we would know it, because of the sense they've made." - Craig
You know your knows. These lyrics Man. 👌🏼 Primo
Being a 2 stroke could u steal one ring off the other piston and get it to run if you were desperate
Rodents made their way up the exhaust and into the combustion chamber and used it as their powder room seizing the pistons . But those carbs 👌
guys you have the best motorcycle repair channel on youtube! I'd love to see you get sponsored by a smoke detector brand, so you'll hear an annoying beeep before you one time pass out on all the smoke in the garage. please open up that stupid garage door guys, its realllyyyy unhealthy and i wanna keep seeing videos of you
I’m so glad Craig is immune to carbon monoxide, but I don’t thing Greg is. Make sure you turn the fans on and open the doors if it’s isn’t cleared by second shift.
If you taper the edge of the wood at the top and use it on the piston, it won't fall apart with the edges splitting off.
The faces dude was making outting up the security system were awesome man 80s sitcom style faces....lol
Sounds like Dan gives good advice!
Thanks guys. I look forward all week to your videos. You guys do a good job.
Such a stunningly styled Kwaka - would love to give it some love if you could ship it to South Africa! How about a brass wire brush thingy on the piston cleaning instead of steel which would tend to eat that Al imo.
Dans advice is bang on, i mean, he did say it would buff out!
Reminds me of my first motorcycle, a 1968 Kawasaki A7SS Avenger.
carburetor cleaning record holding is "2vintage" right now
You know, if you chipped in a bit, and helped the "Self Reliance in Living Facility", with their security, Greg might be forced to rely on appointments. And then we'd really know.
Great to see another win...
What an awesome rescue 🎉
Greg is such a cowboy
Nylon brush cup attachment. Works every time, without mangling the metal alot..
Okay we need to pass Pennsylvania ordinance to prevent you from ever attempting to sing again.
The next guy is gonna let it sit in a shed for 30 years.
I've got a hammer and a block of wood and nothing better to do. That's a t-shirt if I've ever heard one. LOL
Beautiful tank - love the paint
Every video I'm so glad you guys made this youtube channel
That's a lovely looking bike
I think 2vintage cleaned more carbs 😊
0:55 that’s a lot of “see ifs” there craig 😂 excited to see what happens
Random thought: could you 3D print a taillight lens? Just might be cool.
It's alive, it's alive....... Live samurai!!!!
That is a neat little bike!
Unfixable requires a very large hole in the block.
2:49 Dan with the pwnage
Got a xj650 out of the junk every piston siezed. Took a hammer and a block of wood and honed the crap out of it and threw some used pistons in it runs like new other than burning a little oil. Gave it to my buddy for his first bike.
A twin cylinder with two separate barrels. Wow! First time i've ever seen this!
Lots of machines are made like this
@@cedhome7945 thank you. I really mean it. but this is the first time that i have seen a twin with each a removable barrel for each piston. If you don't mind me asking, may I please ask if you would provide examples of this system, so that I can learn. Many thanks. If not, then that is okay... I just wouldn't mind learning... thanks again... please have fun
I've heard Acetone and ATF fluid works good? Is that true?
You should put that in the collection its a survivor
17:45 @2vintage cleaned the most carbs on UA-cam 🙂
Use the old broken ring to clean out the ring slot.
That air gun..... 🤯
I’d be curious if you get the clutch unstuck, how long could the bike last as a Sunday cruiser without rebuilding the engine? Obviously change the fluids a few times to flush out any remaining garbage and slivers!
Well it's a good thing you don't have a smoke detector in there huh 😂
Now you just need to ride it.
worked on those when they where new nice fast bikes
No worries, not too close to home. Dad didn’t love me at all.
I just had a horror show of a set of carbs that looked good in the float bowl but were full of crap in the passageways. Two long soaks in the ulta hot tub a lot of spray and air, eventually cleared them out. PITA.
Is Gregg Craig's identical fraternal twin sister?
Need to find a bike like this, last one I bought I got running so fast I couldnt even make a video out of it lol
The best easy way to clean the piston rings, take a broken ring and use it to scrape off the carbon inside the grove's
And all that smoke is why there are no more 2 strokes.
Holy cow that was the best Karmala Harris quote i ever heard when it comes to making sense lol.
