Wikipedia: "A Frankfurter Würstchen (German for Frankfurt sausage) is a thin parboiled sausage made of pure pork in a casing of sheep's intestine. The special taste is acquired by a special method of low temperature smoking. For consumption, Frankfurters are not cooked; they are only heated in hot water for about eight minutes which prevents the skin from bursting. They are traditionally served with bread, mustard, horseradish and/or potato salad."

I haven't had the chance to play the new Wolfensteins, so I don't know if BJ knows German, but if he doesn't then he probably only recognized the word "Frankfurter" and was just trying to play along without knowing the language.

Just some background information/Austrian folk tale, each profession in the German speaking world in the Middle Ages had a “Zunft”, a gild, which basically defined the rules of the trade. A man from Frankfurt invented sausages of finely ground meat which were cooked in the process, which was forbidden by Frankfurt's butchers' gild, but _not_ in Vienna, so he moved there. Needless to say, his sausages were a big success still very much in demand to this day. His sausages are known as “Frankfurter” in Austria, because the inventor was from that city, but are usually called “Wiener Würstchen” (“Vienna-sausages”) everywhere else because they were first sold here. Have a nice day!
