Nice video I noticed essentially what you said, however I think of it like this, all the crops have a value, wheat/corn/pumpkin/orgourd/bluezen = 12/15/18/21/24. I do not know if they all farm the same speed, haven't tested (i.e. if i set all workers to just wheat, and let them go for an hour, do they collect the same amount of blue zen in an hour? idk) assuming they farmed at the same rate and our goal was to maximize value we have, and we take a sample size of farming 1000 units per crop, and not including the 10% adjacent crop bonuses: 1 crop: 6000 * 24 *1.05 = 151200 2 crop: 5000 * 24 * 1.1 + 21000 * 1.1 = 132000 + 23100 = 155100 3 crop: 4000 * 24 * 1.15 + 21000 * 1.15 + 18000 * 1.15 =155250 4 crop: 3000 * 24 * 1.2 + 21000 *1.2 + 18000 * 1 .2 + 15000 * 1.2 = 151200 5 crop: 2000 * 24 * 1.25 + 21000*1.25 + 18000*1.25 + 15000*1.25 + 12000*1.25 = 142500 therefore, 3 crops i think has the most value per time, and obviously you'd want to stick blue zen in the middle crops to get those 10% bonuses maximized. I think i did the math right, feel free to correct me.
"if i set all workers to just wheat, and let them go for an hour, do they collect the same amount of blue zen in an hour? idk" No. Blue Zanthiumum is worth twice as much as Wheat but you farm twice as much wheat in the same time period. All crops are exactly equal as the value differences are offset by production. Therefore what's optimal is to have at least one of every crop for the 5% bonus and maximise the adjacency bonus of crops you have quotas for.
@@c-tothefourth4879 nice, so you actually tested the time vs crops harvest, that's good data. In that case all 5 is the best choice then. Good job dude.
I've gotten 3 mirror shards split over different 6-8 mill shipments. Granted of all the 6-8 mill shipments, the overwhelming majority didn't have mirror shards but have gotten some from the smaller shipments.
I know this is a small sample size, but I've sent 6 700k shipments and gotten 1 anul and 0 divines. If you're 50/50 on anuls divines, either I'm really unlucky so far or it's not 50% to get a divine at 700k
I don't know if I just had an unlucky streak, but another reason to send lower ranked shippers with the virissium bars is that you can send less bars to hit that scarab reward switch. I was using level 4 shippers with 15 bars and getting scarabs and when I lost one and replaced them with a level 5 shipper I had to increase the amount of aristium I sent to guarantee my scarabs.
I haven't done a lot of shipments , takes me an age to farm gold , But , I do have 2 Divines to my name from shipping , One was under 12 k the other at around 12 k . So I was very happy with those , that's just sending a little of what they want with a little dust thrown in . Like 55 dust .
The wages to obtain the crops and dust needed for a 50 million shipment is 3million gold, taking just under 7 days to obtain. That gives you 130 divines profit, you may hit better or worse results. Using the same gold and market knowledge on exchange you can obtain 400 divines using the 3 million gold.
Strange. I've tried 700000 shipment strat at least 20 times now after this video, and only gotten 1 divine orb twice. Success rate doesn't feel anywhere near 50%.
I definitely confirm this as well. sent a 7mil shipment with a 6div and 1 mirror shard and then today sent an 8.4mil shipment and received 4 div and 2 mirror shards. So I have been saving up and just sending between 7mil and 10mil shipments.
Important detail you left out is the level of the character you open the rewards on matters, at least at certain thresholds. Definitely if you open on a low level character like 10 you'll get back Garbage loot, but not sure if there are specific breakpoints at high levels or each level matters
thanks for the imformative vid, and the sponser segment was great haha :D. The shipping however feels much worse after the changes than they did before, i was hoping they would revert the changes cause i dont like this meta of 1 bar / 50 mil ship or know you are screwing yourself over a bit by sending less ( 5 mil ships )
12:49 "Can only do this 2-3 days with optimized crop production" Having all farmers at level 10 and with the most optimal plants placement, it takes around 4 days and 3 hours to get 25kk ship value from plants. Is it possible to lower it down to 2-3 days? How?
I hope this goes core. I sort of came up with the same strategies as you mentioned in the video but there is one other strategy I have used that could have merit or could just be my RNG. I have noticed that you should definitely send mixed crops but if you send it unbalanced you have a far more likely chance for divines. I have gotten close to the same hit rate on 100,000 shipments as I have with 1 million. (Never really did 700L) For 100,000 shipments I have definitely seen more divines with the unbalanced than I have with even. What I mean is say you are sending 8000 crops. If instead of sending 1600 x 5 you send 4000 of one and 1000 of the others you see more divines from the second way. I also feel that if you make the blue plants the higher valued ones you get slightly more divines than if you have wheat as the largest crop. Very empirical and not tested but if I was going to guess I would say that my even shipments align with your chart at 100K but with the mixed strategy I would say I see a divine about 20-25% of the time. I have not been doing that recently as I have focused on trying to get a port with 3 high level bonuses in crops by constantly completing them. Mixed shipments of bars and food with $1m plus values consistently give nothing. Just something to share.
Decided to test it. First run: 2 shipments of 7000 x5 and 70,000 dust. 1 shipment in 4 to 1 ration: 20000 wheat, 5000 of the others. 70,000 dust. This totals 40,000 total crops. But is always $630,000 and with the 70000 dust it equals $700K total. So all 3 equal in value. First ship (all Level 10) no divines exalts or annuls. 2 chaos. Second ship (Mostly 8s) No divines One Exalt No Annuls. 2 Chaos Third ship (unbalanced) Three (3) divines, no exalts no annuls 8 chaos. Running another run now but using middle ship for unbalanced one. But so far: EVENx2 0 D 1 EX, UNBALANCED 3D Even accounting for RNG the unbalanced one had three divines not just 1 ship out of 3 that had a single divine.
After 3 sets of runs. Each run had two even distributions and a single unbalanced. So in 6 runs even had 0 Divine 1 Exalted I Annulment In 3 runs unbalanced had 4 divine 2 Exalted and 1 Annul. Also in the 3 runs there were 14 Chaos In the 6 even runs there were about 8 Chaos total. I used a different ship for each unbalanced run. Still super small sample size but results seem to be out of margin of RNG error.
@@beefchampion2792 Yes but I am currently starting to save up for a 50 million shipment and do some mirror shard hunting. I did about 6 more sets of runs and the unbalanced was once again ahead. However, with unbalanced I got 3 divines in the 6 shipments. I kept the mix of 2 that are even and 1 that is unbalanced. In those 12 shipments there were 5 divines for the 12 runs. But both of them are within the margin of error. If you look at 9 runs (so 18 total) then balanced had 5 divines over 18 runs and unbalanced had 9 but then if you take away the first 3 it looks to align with the expectation in this video. I still think it is providing more success, but I have not done enough testing to be certain.
@@johnnyp6202 Good luck with those! It may depend on the type of crop that you send the most of. I still haven't seen anyone test the crops individually or in a style such as yours. And apparently I don't play enough to be able to make such tests. I'm saving crops for the last week and I only have close to 10 million so far.
Hello can I get some clarification on the 50mil shipment? Where is it shipped to? What about risk%? Because sending six lv10 sailors to Kalgur it still has like 10% risk and its scary to just have it poof.
Does shipping value or distance have anything to do with boss appearance rate? I've been spam shipping to Ribben Fell and barely see a boss, but as soon as I ship to Kalgurr before bed, I wake up to a boss. In SSF, we need a Power Rune strat, not a divine strat, and trying to fight as many of the bosses seems to be the best thing to do right now.
I want them to change it that your miners have mining crops in the town so they can always farm ore. But overall reduce the amount of ore and food farmed in the town, add a food refinement process, and make it that in maps you can find mining or food deposits for your workers to come and retrieve. This means that playing casually will be easier with this mechanic, and playing more hours rewards more overall.
For runes, how was value measured? Since everything trades up 5:1, it might be interesting to normalize it as what % of a power rune do you get per value? One thing that's making the crops value plots non-linear is the huge difference in different currency values and the way it was measured as "probability of a divine"
ZiggyD doing Grimro's work in 3.25. I always sent shipments to Cowgirl port, for my logic the further, longer route brings better loot. Well New Zealand logic is different it seems.
Used to spam 100 ship value - did for Riben Fell and got two nice scarabs that kickstarted my build. But after that send them to nearby Karui settlement for stack decks. Got so many it sold well in large quantities... and did 50mln once (and no more, rolling for good farmers - or any other worker - is pain) and got 7 divs, 3 sacred orbs, 2 Power Runes and 4 mirror shards. iirc sending crops to far away ports raises the risk of your sailors eating all that food and leaving almost no reward for you
The conclusions about 700k shipment value are not comprehensive. The most likely conclusion is that the optimal strategy depends on how much time you have to send shipments. A 700k shipment of crops requires a little under 3900 of each crop (let's round down to 3800 to bias toward bigger ships) plus equivalent dust. That is supposed to be ~50% for a divine, according to this data. That means that I could send 38 shipments of 100 crops each. If a 100 crop shipment has better than 1.32% chance for a divine, it is more optimal to send 100 crop shipments. From my own experience, it seems very likely that these small ships have better than a 1/50 chance of fetching you a divine. But it takes a lot longer to send them than one 700k ship. The only thing this data seems to be telling us is that there is a value valley from 50k-500k ish. It does help us to show that ships with ~1000 of each crops are not optimal, which was my feeling for at least a week now. I haven't sent anything over 500 for at least that long.
Was it explained in the video why mixed crops are better than just blue zanth? I've watched it twice and I thought i heard a mention about diminishing returns but I don't see any diminishing return in shipping value when I put up to 300,000 blue zanth in the shipment
That's insane. So best to not send any crops till you get to 50 either with or without dust. And for ssf, if you need for example a belt upgrade, you just use all your dust (up to 1:1) for Ngakanu with petrified amber.
After some more tinkering (having followed youre guide here) I determined that if you send just 10 verisium to Ngakanu (Similar to the 5 to riben fel) you will receive a stack of stack decks each time. Just wanted to share that so you could add it to your guide. Thanks for sharing this.
@@c-tothefourth4879 It varies between 5 - 8ish. But if youre killing time working up crops it goes pretty fast. I made a couple hundred of them pretty quickly. Id guess the scarabs are more value, but I like to gamble and anyone of those decks could be a home run card.
@@c-tothefourth4879 I spent the last 36 hours running three ships every half an hour. I can asure you the 5 ore to ribenfel is the most profitable. Not only are you gaurenteeed 3 scarabs, but often 1-2 runes as well. Furthermore the stacked decks dont even equate to a tenth of the value the bugs do. That being said, if you did pull a stacked deck from this and that particular deck had a HH or a MB card it would be a million X profit lol. All and all, Ive been keeping bleh uniques just to corrupt them and disenchant them. Saving my dust, and therefore the 5 ore to scarabs is definitly a profit for me. Lastly, just a couple deli orbs on any of my maps gives me 10 times the stacked decks. But if you just like the passive income its okay to do both. Hope you hit something good. I got 6 time runes along with the sacarabs in the 36 hour session. Also got to kill the pirate captain 2 times so I got a fat influx of gold fast.
Really like the changes, but I still wonder why there's no either reward or risk multiplier for sending ships to more distant ports. I don't get why this isn't a thing. Especially with the new strat sending fewer, larger shipments - why would I ever send a big shipment to Kalguur when it always seems more likely to have issues? I don't get it.
God I wish I could be part of the consistent mirror shard gang. Two 50 mill shipments since the patch now for me and not a single mirror shard. I did a kurui one too and got back a grand total of 7 divines plus two 1 div tattoos for a 50 mill shipment. High value ones have been garbage for me but I guess I'm just unlucky.
Also in the 2x 50mil ship, 0 mirror shard gang. I think getting none a lot more common than people think, people only post on reddit when they get lucky.
I'm very interested in a chart from the video about the probability of obtaining Divine Orbs in relation to item value. May I ask where I can find the document shown in the video?
@ziggyd so , abotu teh favored resources point. this is just me thinking about it logically, but most ppl seem to assume that favored resources will "give a bonus" to the shipment they are sent with. how do we know that favored rss is not just an upgrade for all future shipments ? the reason i am asking this is simply because the favored rss are clearly a very hard thing to get. it wouldn't make sense if the intention by GGG is to boost one single shipment value by a marginal amount when some ppl need literally weeks to collect all those ores. so what do we know about this exactly ?
I managed to get so many great shipments since the change, including a mirror shard with a baby shipment lol to me, the most important is the boats are always out and keep rolling the dice
Any idea if there is a minimum shipment value in order to get captured by pirates? Sending lots of small shipments might get you more boss encounters if the Admiral isn't too picky about the loot.
question, for the scarab strat with versisium, is it usefull to send big verrisum shipments to get more/better scarabs? like maybe 10k bars with some dust or is it completely useless and i should send only 5, bcs tbh i dont care for 10-30 c per shipment i want some more value
Has anyone tried 50mil of one crop only? Do we have data on this? I saw a guy on reddit sending 1.1mil Blue Zanthium and some smaller amounts of other crops with a total value of 50mil and didn't get a single mirror shard. Would be interesting to get more data on 25mil in one crop only +25mil dust. Maybe there is one crop that rolls the mirror shards more consistantly and, therefore, it would be possible to get a full mirror.
One big thing that have been totally ignored and put aside for a time now is: - What to do with bars now (outside of just stocking them) - What about the "overall level" of the port(s), as there was an early rumor of a "level" of each ports or even a global one - Is that worth completing the port's request (for exemple Riben Fell) and fishing for a double/triple crop request for preparing a big shipment?
Seems bars are a lower level or maybe recombining reward since you get Loot 2.0 back. Even stocked when you complete orders you run out. You can fish for double/triple crop bonuses but as stated when you go for 50mil shipments the bonus would be marginal, but when doing regular 1-5mil shipments I think it will definitely benefit. People also forget because they're not meta, that's how you get league uniques. So it's just like heist, many different reward types but you end up just focusing on two, crops/dust in this case.
Is there any info on farming gear with this? All the videos I see are about the currency only lol I'm ssf, so I've been enjoying the gear returns as well. Can I just assume the same rules apply? Bigger and few is better than smaller and more spammy?

I noticed essentially what you said, however I think of it like this, all the crops have a value, wheat/corn/pumpkin/orgourd/bluezen = 12/15/18/21/24. I do not know if they all farm the same speed, haven't tested (i.e. if i set all workers to just wheat, and let them go for an hour, do they collect the same amount of blue zen in an hour? idk)
assuming they farmed at the same rate and our goal was to maximize value we have, and we take a sample size of farming 1000 units per crop, and not including the 10% adjacent crop bonuses:
1 crop: 6000 * 24 *1.05 = 151200
2 crop: 5000 * 24 * 1.1 + 21000 * 1.1 = 132000 + 23100 = 155100
3 crop: 4000 * 24 * 1.15 + 21000 * 1.15 + 18000 * 1.15 =155250
4 crop: 3000 * 24 * 1.2 + 21000 *1.2 + 18000 * 1 .2 + 15000 * 1.2 = 151200
5 crop: 2000 * 24 * 1.25 + 21000*1.25 + 18000*1.25 + 15000*1.25 + 12000*1.25 = 142500
therefore, 3 crops i think has the most value per time, and obviously you'd want to stick blue zen in the middle crops to get those 10% bonuses maximized. I think i did the math right, feel free to correct me.
"if i set all workers to just wheat, and let them go for an hour, do they collect the same amount of blue zen in an hour? idk"
No.
How do you get bonuses for farming?
Amazing job!!!
That is the best sponsor ad on UA-cam
nice, thx man, pretty neat info here, cheers :)
went back and watched the sponsored content per the comment section. well worth it.
Thanks for all the test
Any testing Results about Chances to encounter Pirats? Is there any difference about far ports and closer ports?
I've gotten 3 mirror shards split over different 6-8 mill shipments. Granted of all the 6-8 mill shipments, the overwhelming majority didn't have mirror shards but have gotten some from the smaller shipments.
Quite the deep dive!
I know this is a small sample size, but I've sent 6 700k shipments and gotten 1 anul and 0 divines. If you're 50/50 on anuls divines, either I'm really unlucky so far or it's not 50% to get a divine at 700k
OMG finally ty for this. Praise be Carmonaaa!
Using the same gold and market knowledge on exchange you can obtain 400 divines using the 3 million gold.
best unboxing segmant i've seen on a video
Definitely should have a bonus for Kalgurr
I can't find the port of MSI in Kingsmarch, ZiggyD! Thanks for the informative video, cheers!
thanks for the imformative vid, and the sponser segment was great haha :D. The shipping however feels much worse after the changes than they did before, i was hoping they would revert the changes cause i dont like this meta of 1 bar / 50 mil ship or know you are screwing yourself over a bit by sending less ( 5 mil ships )
You did right by that MSI 😊
12:49 "Can only do this 2-3 days with optimized crop production"
Having all farmers at level 10 and with the most optimal plants placement, it takes around 4 days and 3 hours to get 25kk ship value from plants. Is it possible to lower it down to 2-3 days? How?
I fuckin loved the unboxing part!!!❤
@@johnnyp6202 @johnnyp6202 That's very interesting, but I think you need a bigger sample size.
Did you keep sending these types of ships so far?
Ok I’m liking the video just because the sponsor segment
Hello can I get some clarification on the 50mil shipment? Where is it shipped to? What about risk%? Because sending six lv10 sailors to Kalgur it still has like 10% risk and its scary to just have it poof.
you made advertisement fun. that's an art
Most of my bosses have been from 2 bar short ships, which I spam a lot, but also do targeted long ships.
You can send minimum shipment value to Riben Fell for 3 scarabs and a couple runes. 1 bar and 36 dust hits that.
Very tender unboxing.
Tried that and got about 7 stacked decks.
@@c-tothefourth4879 It varies between 5 - 8ish. But if youre killing time working up crops it goes pretty fast. I made a couple hundred of them pretty quickly. Id guess the scarabs are more value, but I like to gamble and anyone of those decks could be a home run card.
@@RIPFPSDOUG It's more reliable than scarabs but don't know which is higher return, need so much data to tell.
@@c-tothefourth4879 I have an update for you though. Podium produces oils and catalysts.
It is however more randomized.
I’ve been pretty unlucky too lol you aren’t alone
Also in the 2x 50mil ship, 0 mirror shard gang. I think getting none a lot more common than people think, people only post on reddit when they get lucky.
@@TwiliteGaming Yeah, the data this video is using most likely has massive survivorship bias.
I'm very interested in a chart from the video about the probability of obtaining Divine Orbs in relation to item value. May I ask where I can find the document shown in the video?

This is how you get a lifetime sponsorship with MSI. Well played good sir
Where do you send the 50 mil shipments to? Ngakanu? Or do you look for ones that have crop quotas
I managed to get so many great shipments since the change, including a mirror shard with a baby shipment lol to me, the most important is the boats are always out and keep rolling the dice
any tips how to get power runes?
You guys dont think that each crop has its own table? Like 700k of just corn or corn/dust will tally up better than mixed crops at 700k?
What about the "favor" system? Was this proven to affect gains, or did it end up being more tied to player level?
Any idea if there is a minimum shipment value in order to get captured by pirates? Sending lots of small shipments might get you more boss encounters if the Admiral isn't too picky about the loot.
This is SO helpful. I have found the shipping mechanic pretty opaque in terms of strategies.
question, for the scarab strat with versisium, is it usefull to send big verrisum shipments to get more/better scarabs? like maybe 10k bars with some dust or is it completely useless and i should send only 5, bcs tbh i dont care for 10-30 c per shipment i want some more value
So for crop value, is there a benefit to farming and sending a spread of crops? Or should you just focus the rarest one?
Great stuff, thanks for sharing Ziggy! Any chance you can also link the full doc you were showing and maybe even include the data?
One big thing that have been totally ignored and put aside for a time now is:
- What to do with bars now (outside of just stocking them)
- What about the "overall level" of the port(s), as there was an early rumor of a "level" of each ports or even a global one
- Is that worth completing the port's request (for exemple Riben Fell) and fishing for a double/triple crop request for preparing a big shipment?
Bigger and few is better than smaller and more spammy?
hahah, the MSI pligin was funny
