I have to admit, quitting wow was a tough choice that I never thought I would make. I also really hope that your content survives. That is because you lack vision and casual....I have been playing video games since the 80s WoW is not the only game that I used to play (Yes I quit the game recently and never looking back) in the end it is a video game. If you cant quit the game or find it hard? then that is totally your fault not the game fault no offense. You need to have self control over your life.

It’s about not supporting a company that treats the community that built the pedestal they stand on for granted and treating the allegations like one big joke.
As someone who feels the same about a lot of the stuff you've said, I can't do anything but get behind this. My understanding of the game, the community I'm speaking to, and the experience with the game itself, are a lot smaller - but as someone passionate about creating the content I love, and being in the community of the game I love, I understand. And that's why I left. That's why so many of us left. We, people with families who depend on us to put the food on the table, people who directly depend upon the content being served to us, people with teams behind us. People who have things to lose, yet cannot justify making content that exhausts us. The tone of your voice cuts deep for me, as this whole video is spoken from the heart. The love you've demonstrated for this game and its community is so overflowing and contagious; I simply cannot believe it's come to this. I listened to the whole thing and I've unapologetically cried on multiple occasions throughout it. I'm so exhausted from this immersion break, knowing I'll never log into World of Warcraft again without seeing it as a product - not a very good one at the moment, and made under horrendous circumstances. The world for me has shattered. It's become nothing but a place to log into. And I can't even do that, as the personal trauma, memories and experiences kick in whenever I do, making me physically ill when I think about them. That's what the game and the state of the company has made me feel. Triggers, bad memories, and stuff I don't ever want to think about again. And I'm left heartbroken. Thank you for your honesty. I, like many others, will follow your content - for you.
Yeah, most of the videos that covered it felt more like people milking it for views. Mike is the first content creator i see covering this that actually looks as if he really feels for the victims.

Customers can simultaneously be disgusted and realise that the customers are not going to get content in a game they are subscribed to because of total creeps and incompetent leadership with no respect for their employees. If people don't care, then whatever. That's not most people.
I'd say that employee that said customers wanting their paid for products are part of the problem, is even bigger part of the problem - if the accusations were true, I feel for them, but I still want my products, its not my problem company had issues, shouldve come out with accusations sooner or outright quit instead of just making game shittier and shittier and blaming customers.
Even if you never cover WoW again it will be ok for me, watching you play other games was incredible and I honestly enjoyed it more! Your divinity playthrough, fallout, and more were so fun to watch. I'm here for you man!
Mike, I looked up to you and it helped me become a mythic raider in WoW. I even managed to get a CE! I respect your decision and understand your frustrations. I clinged onto the game since 2006, and to see Blizzard in this state is devastating. I am probably going to have to say goodbye to this game for good. Wish you the best of luck and can’t wait to see what you do next!
I don't watch this channel for his WoW content. I watch it because Mike and the gang make good content. And, really, if y'all can make content this good about a game this bad, I can't wait to see what you do with games that are actually good.
Prech idk if you'll ever see this but I started watching ur videos back in 2011 when I was 11 years old and I'm 20 now. The "I guess you win Blizzard" part really hit me hard because your th person who got me into WoW all those years ago, thank you for maintaining such a high standard of quality all of these years and I'm pretty much down for whatever game you decide to cover next as I stick around for you and you content style, not the game you cover.
Preach, I personally love your content in spite of the fact that it's mostly WoW content, not because of it. I'd much rather watch you doing things you're excited about and proud to cover.
I think this is the start of something beautiful. I'm an OG, I want to see the excited, hopeful preach of Cata and early MoP. I'm sure we'll see that with mostly non-WoW videos. IMO, your USP is really the unashamed geek min maxed. I'd love to see you try your hand at speedrunning N64 games, or blindfolded bioshock, or w/e. GG Blizz, no fucking re.
I remember Preach videos from back then. Me along with him and everyone else was happy to play WoW and pretty much everything else related to it. The way the game is now makes me not want to sit at my PC and delete everything Blizzard related. I know this is a bit off from the post, but I recently bought a bunch of games from the Steam sale and I have to tell you, playing Shadow of the Tomb Raider and other games makes me feel extremely happy compared to when I’m playing WoW. The happiness of playing WoW went into the bin a bit ago. The only tiny bit of happiness I got was during Legion, nothing since.
Your own morals and values are so important to staying sane, especially in this line of work - we're all here for you and your entertainment talent and personality, not for the game alone ❤️

Mike feels so bloody tired here, and it's easy to see why. Good luck, Mike. Thanks for all the years :) you've been my favourite WoW content creator, and I've come back to the game a few times just due to your coverage. I'll happily tune in to new stuff.
Respect your decision Mike. Most of us will still watch your content for you and your entertainment value. Glad you took a solid stance and tell it how it is.
Hey Mike, Thanks for all of your content over the years. It was an honour to work with you in the SL beta with your weakauras but I've never been able to get into your variety content so this is probably where we will part ways. I truly support your decision - I've made the only decision I feel I can can as a customer by unsubbing for the first time since TBC. You've taught me more about how to be good at the game than any other person by a long way. You've shown me how this game is played at the very highest level and while I never went anywhere near there, I would not have had the fun with this game that I've managed to have. I truly wish you the best of luck in everything you do. May your content remain fun for you to make and for your viewers to watch. Goodbye, ArrZarr.

People asked "how will they come back from it" after fallout 76 fiasco, and yet noone speaks about it now. Wow this truly broke my heart to watch, back when I started playing WoW almost 10 years ago, Preach was the 1st real channel I came across with his knowledgeable class guides. I came for the class guides but stayed for Mike's, Ghost's, & Emma's personalities. This was before Preach's first born son Max was even born lol. Ben (the dog) was the baby at that time. I remember the transmog competitions, the PG & Ghost shows/New Years specials, the Drama times, and all the amazing memories I've shared with them both. I will make sure I support PG even more for taking this difficult stance. My raiding guild disbanded about a week before 9.1 was announced after raiding together for 3+ years, love you Mike, and appreciate all the time you put in over the last 10 years.
Thanks for saying everything many of us have been thinking for a while Mike. Power to you and thanks for being great. As far as your interviews and such, I completely believe you are fair as well. Blizzard needs a reality check and the only way to help them is to be honest -- you're one of the few that are and have always been with them. Take care and know that your community supports your decisions and we're here for the long haul. Respect.
Fecking hell, even the old guard is retreating now. I was always sad i stopped playing at the end of WotLK but now I'm starting to think i did the right thing.
Most of the old guard quit the game half a decade ago, if not longer... As someone that played wow since the friends and family-alpha testing, most of the big, recognizable names have been gone since a bit after WotLK at the latest, Preach was basically the only old one still giving them the benefit of the doubt, despite the game being utter shit for a decade.
I started playing WoW in the closed beta in 2004 and although I took breaks here and there it was the decline in the quality of the game and Blizzards atrocious reputation that destroyed any passion I had left for the game. This game has been a big part of my life, and it's just unbelievable to me how quickly and how completely they have run this game and the reputation of their company into the ground. I've been a big fan of your videos since you started. Although I don't play the game I still stop by and check your videos out to see how you are doing. You have my respect for making this decision all while knowing it puts your future in doubt. Whatever you choose to do I'll still be a subscriber. Thank you for all of your hard work and quality content. It has been so appreciated. I look forward to seeing what you do in the future. I'm not going anywhere.
It feels like WoW and Blizzard in general have effectively aged themselves out. They are acting like its 2006 not 2021 and shit don't fly like it did back then and the audience either grew up or got replaced. No wonder people are moving on to stuff like FFXIV and TESO. Does this inspire confidence in a longterm good time?
Not a huge wow player since high school, but my buddies and I would sub for a month or two and play every now and again. Not gonna do that again, but I’ll still watch Preach. Good on you for putting your foot down.

You are not the first wow channel that has successfully stepped away from wow and you wont be the last.
So sad. I have along with so many others, grown up with Mike on our journeys with this once amazing game! I look into other games like FFXIV and I see so much more. So many systems incorporated like embracing crafting. WOW should be leading the charge on a huge foundational base that has been built upon over years but they tear the little house built and build anew every time…. Never building a huge skyscraper that we can all be in awe of. Instead we get a new little house on the same lot. And as of late they haven’t built a new house but rather just changed the wallpaper and chairs.
This is quite a sad state of affairs right now. Thinking back to all my memories growing up with this game, it really hurts to see how far the game has fallen. Blizzard really is gone..
Everyone is suddenly acting like they never cared about the game at all. They're all out celebrating the death of Blizzard as if the past two decades never meant anything to them. It really makes the situation that much more depressing.
Man... this just about broke my heart. I tend not to enjoy watching other games and skip that content for the most part but I think its gonna be on me to give it an open minded effort and give back to the channel that I have pretty much grown up with and has entertained and put a smile on my face on so many occasions, Especially now and while it transitions to whatever the future holds. Chin up and move forward, the respect your community holds for you and your company will carry it wherever you want or need it to go!

It needed saying. I look forward to the future, and I think it says something about you, preach, and about the quality of your team, that when you were listing the projects ahead I honestly look forward to those more than what we might have had otherwise.
It's a shame the art, music, and voice acting teams for WoW have to go down with the sinking ship too, or take the same blows, or whatever one wants to call it. They've always continued to be great. I think Shadowlands zones are some of the best looking areas in the entire history of Warcraft, Ardenweald being a special standout in my eyes. Some of the music in recent years, such as Anduin's theme, still blow me away when I listen to them again. Even when they're delivering exposition for a plot I've grown frustrated by, the voice acting for characters like Jaina, Sylvanas, Wrathion, and so many other characters all make me so excited when I get to hear them monolog. But the game around all that is so grindy and monotonous now, and this controversy stuff is so bad, it makes it pretty much impossible to feel good about supporting Blizzard anymore, the good parts of them that I've described above included, unfortunately. (Good creatively, to be clear. I make no claims about anyone's personality or trustworthiness since I know none of them at Blizzard.)
No kidding. I'm trying out FFXIV right now and god DAMN do I miss Blizzard's art direction, the game looks like ass. Yeah yeah, graphics not everything, but it's definitely taking some getting used to.
I doubt I'll be seen but man you're the best. I love your content. I love your community focus. In spite of the game you've always been fair, incredibly smart and always paid attention to the details. You rule dude. I mean that honestly and sincerely. I'll always watch your stuff because I know the care you put in and you make it entertaining. Thanks for everything you've done and thanks for always going the extra mile. Blizzard won't say it, but you helped bring so many important things to light. You've made the game better but more importantly you've made people's lives better.
Bless you Preach, I just unsubbed myself, and unless major heads roll for this outrage ActiBlizz won't see another cent from me or many others I'm sure. I respect your strength of character deeply and you'll always have my views no matter what you play.
I'm both looking forward to and dreading the video with your full thoughts on the matter. All I can say is I came for the wow content, I stayed for you. Love to you, the family, the team, and to every single person impacted by all of this. Employee, victim, fan.
The time felt right. I quit too my friend. Looking forward to what you do next, can’t wait. Your community is here for you and we will continue the journey with you.
Holy fuck. Preach leaving WoW is the undeniable canary in the coal mine. No one distills the the deepest and best aspects of this game like he does. So if Preach says WoW is shit, then it’s shit. End of story. End of WoW. You can’t have a clearer signal that it is FINALLY time to bury WoW forever and move on to a better, more contemporary, MMO.
I watched preach long before I started wow and I plan on watching him for ages after. I do selfishly really hope to see him dip his toe into ffxiv. I unsubbed from wow back in April and picked up ffxiv at the beginning of June, ever since I’ve fallen in love with it he’s been the content creator I want to see give it a go the most.
Mike and people like myself loved wow at least in the last 10 years because of the high-end raid content, and speaking as someone that's now playing ffxiv while loving it for different reasons, it's just not the same. Ultimate raids haven't yet crossed that line for me of novelty/difficulty/teamwork that I've experienced with WoW.
@@orbitalstitchI can’t quite speak on this yet since I haven’t tried Eden’s Promise or The Epic of Alexander yet (I’ll probably be caught up with the main story today and then start working through Eden first). I can say I quit wow out of frustration as soon as my guild got cutting edge and I was ready to quit the instant SLG died really. The ultimate raids seem to be basically equivalent to mythic end bosses in difficulty. I think I’ll be fine with a well crafted and balanced last boss when everything around the raiding (like all of the classes being nearly perfectly balanced) is so much better.
I’ve only watched you briefly here and there. Much of what you have said I believe relates to many wow fans. I stopped playing a couple months ago after a solid 10 years for my personal reasons. I wasn’t the best of players but many friends over the years kept me in it. With the recent news I’m happy with my decision. It’s unfortunate it’s come to this. I figured I’d take a year or so off and pick it up again. Doesn’t seem that will happen unless it’s a complete overhaul down the road. I’ve found stopping wow has made me healthier lol. I’m not rushing home from work to complete my dailies anymore lol. Now I play whatever I want and chill with my kids and friends. You’ll find an outlet and have success. Subscribed to your UA-cam and I’ll check you out on twitch! Good luck!

I agree a very sad video
Preach is/was such an amazing WoW creator, no clickbaits just extremely well pointed out opinions. I am so going to miss his WoW-stuff, but indeed, I will not turn my back on Mike. :)
Preach going off and saying f*ck you made my day.
I felt those. Felt to the point where I started saying it with him.
Timestamp?
@5:33 found it
I bet it did you loser
Hell yeah it did, he had the courage to say it
He decided and i respect his decision. Still gonna Watch him.
I'll probably watch more now tbh
I look forward to new creations of Drama Time
I'm not going to watch him because honestly I don't like his personality enough to do that, it's not the same as asmongold where he is the main show, preach is a really good wow analyst because he came from that high end part of WoW, im a woe player so I came here to get legit insight from a dude with 14 years experience, no point now.
@@nolabets3130 he can't give that kind of analysis with other video games?
Preach has been my favorite variety game streamer for many years. Looking forward to more of that in the future, best of luck, Mike. Enjoy yourself
Watching this was so heartbreaking.
No one with a lick of sense would have faulted you for staying with WOW a bit longer. Your entire angle has been wow. Pivoting radically is extremely brave and risky. I for one will be supporting you and watching all your videos even if you decide to cover a game I hate... I'll just auto play the vid making sure to click the ads.
nah, he makes almost no money from youtube and most of his twitch is variety content already.
So brave, so stronk. LOL
@@12345Granada yep, Preach has been moving away from WoW for ages now. If this didn't happen he'd have to keep making wow content occaisonally just to not alienate his core audiance, but now he gets to ditch wow and it makes him look good for doing it.
Chin up Preach, totally respect your decision and pretty much agree with everything you said about WoW. Whatever you do I know you will keep entertaining us mate👍
I have to admit, quitting wow was a tough choice that I never thought I would make. I also really hope that your content survives. I, personally, only watch your wow content because for a long time that was the only game I cared to take content in for. I presume a lot of your viewers are the same. I hope that there's a silver lining for you, for both of us, after this.
@@Velshin1986 i absolutely disagree. If you put years of effort into something it is not always easy to leave all your progress and achievments behind + nostalgia. There is a reason why in so many toxic relationships people keep beeing together.

I don’t watch Preach because of WoW, I watch the channel because of Preach.
I came because of WoW news when SL alpha/beta cycles started, definitely stayed because of Mike's charisma.
Same, I stopped playing WoW a while ago but Preach is always a baller.
Preach is a fuckin loser
The disgust in his face while talking about wow and blizzard speak volumes.

Yah when 1.0 turned out garbage they shut the store down and made it free. Then made the game exploding actual Canon.

Unsubbed a month ago to play ff14. Love it. Glad I was already gone in light of the latest.
The "You're part of the problem" bollocks.
I'm here for you man!
note to self: whenever you get excited or hyped about a new expansion: watch this video again to clear your head.
Off. This was rough, I wish the best for you and yours.
"I'm so fucking sad". I feel that right now. Been playing for so long like many of us. It's hard to support a company where they treat their employees so poorly on top of the game being not very good.
Brother, you took me years ago from a team that couldn't kill normal killrog deadeye, to a mythic raid leader with world rank 1 parses. Thank you and I'll be with you laughing and enjoying your content till the sun no longer shines!
Mike feels so bloody tired here, and it's easy to see why. Good luck, Mike. Thanks for all the years :) you've been my favourite WoW content creator, and I've come back to the game a few times just due to your coverage. I'll happily tune in to new stuff.

I really appreciate your honesty. There really isn’t a single good thing to say about wow right now. The game is so bad.
Either Ion is wholly incompetent at leading WoW...
...or the leadership above Ion have tied his hands.
I will always watch your content Mike regardless of what you cover.
I love the Legacy videos. Some of my favorite videos on YT.
Never thought I'd like an expansion less than BfA, but SL takes the cake. I don't blame you for walking away. At this point, they need to reevaluate every decision they've made with WoW.

29:12 "You win Blizz... I guess" No Mike, there are no winners here. Just sadness and wasted money and time.
Still gonna watch buddy. You have earned my loyalty for sure. Class act and all around good dude brother. Keep up the good fight.
You are totally strong enough to get through this, especially on UA-cam, I will up my subscription amount to keep your ass a float, I will watch you do/ play just about anything.
I am, and many others on the same ship Mike. Being part of this channel since the wrestling videos and will remain. I wish the best to all of us
actions like these are needed for blizzard to learn their lesson.
A lot of us show up to hear you chit chat at us :) Hope things transition well.
When I clicked on this video, I was like “Dam.” Then after I watched it, I was like, “this is sad” An end of an era

Proud of you Mike.
Thank you Preach for putting your wise word out in the world again.
When your creative director is spending more time harrassing women instead of making creative content, you get azerite gear.
I agree with you 100%. Also the hair is coming in nice Mike!
The content creators have collectively kept WoW alive for many players. They’ve quite literally done all that they can do.
Who's here enjoying Preach's new content. I know I am loving it. 👍
Thanks for the real talk man.
Good luck!
I'm sorry Preach, I respect you a lot man. It's clear this is incredibly hard on you, and you care so much. I'm not a WoW player but I've watched your stuff from time to time. I subscribed just now to support you in your new endeavors.
