Thank you so much Nita! What a legend!
she's awesome! you two should do a collaboration of sorts!
Best authentic guitar player interview ever! Period. Ola's quite the attentive host and it really shows and Nita's such a humble person I kinda fell in love with her...
YAAAY THANKS FOR THE GREATNESS YAAAY!!!
I BOUGHT YOUR ALBUM!!! YAAAY COOL!!!
Hi ola, you awesome
Should have a NO DUCKLIPS sign, a red circle with a line through it.
Look at that gorgeous blonde! Oh and Nita is also there! Cheers
*Ola nazi finger circle*

Petition for *Satchel* on Coffee with Ola.
Especially after the new *Steel Panther* album is out now!
I want to see Nita box the *shit* outta Satchel, that's some funny crap right there man...it's all bonaducci and screech all over again lol
Satchel would be EPiC!
That would be amazing, but I think it might turn into "cocaine and strippers with Ola"
I bet "whamen" would love it ;)
Steel Panther, Stockholm, Jan 22. Ola, make this happen
Her work ethic is incredible... she deserves every moment of her success
The reason that I am late with my comment is that this time I HAD TO WATCH THE VIDEO FIRST!!! I love the both of you and I am sooo sooo happy that it worked out for you guys to meet up! Nita is such a badass and she deserves all the support in the world!
We have better names :).
Love how “fans” argue about guitarists and constantly let’s us know who sucks and how much. But the guitarists more often than not are just supportive :)
@Trawick Texas imagine Jen and Nita on some music together, wow!
Jen Majura is never late, Jen Majura arrives on time :)
As the No. 1. Stalker aren't you jealous on the fact, that Ola got another female companion from the "industry" on his show? :\
This marks the first episode of “Nervous Ola”.
It's kind cute how obvious it is lol
AR Stubbs he took it well!
This girl has to be one of the most likable people I’ve ever heard speak.
Gary Holt !! We're waiting for you
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS GARY PLZZZZZ
They comin to Sweden?
@@RadityoPramAdi Probably. Gary gave a birthday shout out to Ola and said he would be up for a coffee.
@@sheharyarkhan2384 oh shit didn't knew that. I'm hyped!!
No let him finish the new Exodus album first.
I want to see all the Meshuggah members in Coffee With Ola.
Coffin with Ola.
@@tompparmp9928 Meshuggah's next album.
Fantastic interview! Looking forward to the next album 🎸🔥
How is your playing coming along??
Ola: "I listened to your solo album and it's really good"
Nita: "yes"
I love Nita Straus she's so funny
Having read Nita's bio, she is so dedicated to the guitar. No wonder she plays for a legend like Alice. Both overcame alcohol also. Inspirations for myself as a metal guitarist and struggling alcoholic. Thanks Nita and Alice. And thanks to you Ola for bringing awesome musicians on your show, and keeping metal and electric guitars alive. I live in Fort Worth and my sister lives in Pantego about a mile from Dime and Rita's home. She is very sweet. Met her at a Machine Head, Megadeth and Heaven and Hell concert.
Devin Townsend (also worked with Steve Vai) also has a pretty uplifting story about his journey with his struggles transitioning to a sober artist. I find inspiration in people like this - MJK of Tool who works his ass off in building sustainable creative communities, tons or examples if one cares to look. Nita is one of the next generation - hell, most of em don't even smoke weed for fuck's sake. I think the future is pretty bright as long as we let the kids do the driving. #terrans #thekidsarealright #metalistruth
As long as you are alive, there is always hope. Know that you are seen and heard. You are real and things are gonna be alright.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
From Wikipedia:
During the process of writing and recording the new album, Townsend stopped taking the medication prescribed to treat his bipolar disorder because he began expressing doubt about the initial diagnosis, and decided to stop taking the medication,[36][37] but continued with his substance abuse, and he eventually "flipped out" during the process, and later called the resulting album "toxic" and "psychologically very unhealthy".
Hope the drinking has leveled out brother!! Its hard, i know.
Try and get Alexi Laiho on Coffie With Ola🤘
like, you know, maybe, you know, that's a remote, you know, possibility
If he gets Alexi, it better be Beer With Ola
that would be so great omg
YES
@@umosay yeah, as much i like Alexi, he can't talk for shit.
She is so wonderful. I've been lucky enough to meet her twice. Once at a guitar clinic and then again at her pre show meet n greet. What I loved is that she doesn't treat the meet n greets like an assembly line where she just signs something and then moves on. She takes time to chat a bit and she really expresses how much she appreciates all the fan support. Absolutely love her!!
What a cool chick. She's killer at playing, nice, and very hard working . It has obviously paid off.
Looking good, hot stuff! Nita looks alright too.
What! Nita was in the video?!?!
Mike Jackson I didn’t know either until I read the comments
I thought that was a man with a blonde wig !
@Shockheadd45 it's called a joke, lighten up guy. My wife actually looks very similar to Nita , body , hair etc..so no I ain't into cross dressers
lel
Wow Nita is not only a superb uber talented guitarist but a sweet humble person from what I can tell! She is one of my favorite rockers. We need more ladies like her in rock and metal.
So love this thanks Ola and Nita you both have great energy can we maybe get a coffee with Phil Anselmo please ?
This was a really inspiring conversation. Thank you Ola for having her on
My favorite Coffee With Ola so far!! Nita is such an amazing musician and seems like such a down to earth cool person. Thank you for continuing to put out great content Ola, you friggin rock! 🤘🤘
Saw AC show in Houston August. Probably going to be one of the best shows ever as seen on TV.
What an amazing woman, enjoyed learning about her other projects aside from music, cool to hear that she promotes a healthier lifestyle
Man, I love Nita. The complete package. Ripping guitarist, humble, genuine, down to earth and just drop dead beautiful. Great coffee with Ola!
Coffee with Tobias Forge!! He lives in Sweden so it could happen!
The stretching exercises are fantastic! 43 years playing and very banged up. I added these to my warm up and cool downs - they hit the spot. Thanks Ola for your great series and thanks Nita for the help!
Good job Ola. This was a great interview. This lady is one the top guitarists/ shredders in the world and will be one that inspires many women and men to play guitar. She's truly awesome.
Alice is the man! I love the fact that he is always willing to talk to fans ANY time... like Dimebag.
Right on ! The true legends appreciate their fans as much or than we appreciate them. I will never, ever forget Dime. With a heart that big, it took the state of Texas to contain it.
@@richardbinder9662 even then he was the hero we didn't deserve... he's bigger than Texas
Nita is soo cool and down to earth and a bad ass guitar player at that!! After 29 years of playing guitar at the time, but now 30 lol nobody ever told me or showed me how to stretch before playing guitar until I saw a video of Nita about a year ago and I've been doing it ever since,so thank you Nita 😉👍 My favorite interview you've done so far Ola 🤘
Nita is such a doll. She is always great to listen to. Very humble and likable. Great job Ola.
She is BEAUTIFUL, the way she plays makes her OVER the TOP GORGEOUS!!!! Thank you LORD for NITA!!!!
I love talented, downtoearth and humble people like you two!
She has the talent, work ethic and attitude of a true pro. All the most talented people I've ever met are like this lady, very down to earth. Great interview.
I love this Nita Strauss is the best, my two favorite people in metal having a conversation!
what a great coffee with Ola, Ola! Nita seems like shes got a very humble persona, what a kick ass individual. most people think that being a musician is all about partying and its dope to hear her refreshing words about being a musician.
Some time ago I had a shoulder surgery and my fretting hand has never been the same. I just tried Nita's stretch and that feels great. I learned your stretch in Physical Therapy. I'll be doing this daily. Great stuff, man. 1 million thanks.
These are the vids i love. Ola just tips the iceberg with a question and the passionte guitarist just takes the reigns. Articulate and great stories, checked out the music before it was even over, she definitley got a new fan, great vid ola!
Awesome interview, she seems like a cool down to earth person. You can tell she had o work where she is and she seems very humble.
That was so awesome!! Nita is a maniac on stage, I saw them in south florida not too long ago and they were GREAT!
She is so so sweet! Very humble, this a really cool interview. I absolutely love the little detail of the Star Wars mug
You both are so awesome! What a great human Nita is... Hopefully every aspiring musican will see this video. ❤️
I've been waiting a long time for this Coffee with Ola episode!
Cheers from Italy
I first saw her at Gröna Lund in Stockholm a few years before this interview and she made a hell of an impression. Fantastic guitarplayer and great stage pressence too. The bar was high in the band though, everyone was amazing but she definitely stood out!
"Healthy metal lifeStyle". I was always totally agreed with this philosophy, even since 90's.
The better you feel better music you make .
Great Interview, Ola. Greetings from Buenos Aires.
I notice a handful of people are into that lifestle as well like Matt Heafy, Tosin, Petrucci, Aaron Marshall, etc.
For years I was too frustrated trying to do any sweep picking. I followed a method Nita taught and now I'm doing ok with sweeping (still need some more practice). If I ever meet her, I'll have to thank her. I'll buy her a coffee :)
Thank you Nita for the advice on learning!!, thank you Ola!!, I'm going to get my guitar now (warm up)! and teach myself a few more things this afternoon! Good show. thanks
Very well written wolfman curtis, she is consistently just like this, also naturally funny/fun girl. She brings up spirits and turn a dull day bright with ease. Just really nice person.
I first found Nita in the Iron Maidens. I've been impressed ever since. She seems like a real put together woman. Thank you Nita and Ola !
Nita is such a nice person on many levels. Very inspiring.
Great interview Ola, i love Nita, she's so awesome !
Another superb interview. Nita is so tuned into what it takes to be a musician,.
Truth In Shredding Hi Laurie!
You are always a great Ola! I always have fun with your videos!!
I was lucky to catch one of Nita's clinics here in Michigan, USA. Brought my grandson along, and he was blown away (she snapped a pic with him for her Instagram page as well). Nita is one of the most genuinely nice musicians I've met.
Thanks for the stretching tips, prob my fav part of the video.
What a lovely person! Anyone can learn from her productivity
Listening to her music for the first time while you talk. one of my favourite things to do. And yes i do like it
WOW Ola. This has to be your BEST "Coffee with Ola" to date. Very well done man.
Nita Strauss oh hell yeah she kicks ass on guitar great video Ola. I'm more motivated now to practice my guitar.
Dont know how I missed this one but thank you Ola I love her playing
What an amazing wahmen. She is a great interview and so smart. Love this one
Never seen this series of yours before. It's pretty comfy
Very cool. I wait a Long Time for this Episode. Thx Ola, thx Nita
I'm really liking the stretch exercises.... I had seen Nita describe them one before.... but I'd forgotten them. And Ola's Thumbs up.... And down. Especially after doing the other...(Nita's stretch). Was really great too...
At my lousy health, advanced age .(59). I need to start doing that.
I Always Get Something good From Ola's Videos.
She's got such a warm personality! Very cool! Keeping an eye out for more man
Love this segment ola lml, also you have become a very good interviewer, more relax and funny, good work sir !
Nita kicks ass. I caught her during her solo tour and she puts on a great show. She's definitely one of my favorite female guitar players.
I had to put this on pause and listen to Nina's Controlled Chaos. AMAZING!
Downloaded it!
Those stretches were gold!
My fret hand goes tingly n numb when I play anything under a 25.5 scale guitar for more than 40 or so minutes.
Why? The scale length only affects string tension. A shorter scale length will be way easier to play.
@@chrisking6695 fuck if I know
She is my top modern player of today. I’m so pumped to have her show artist to really play
Nita shreds! I had the honour of having here sign one of my guitars. Rock on Nita!
Your 14 day challenge made me realize I'm better than I thought I was at guitar. You are changing lives Ola. #OlaCon2020
I would definitely have to buy Strauss plays Strauss. Another great interview, thanks!
Wow. So many shows. Including yours Ola. Love "control chaos" esp the drums
Baroness is coming to Sweden in November. Any chance to get Gina and John for coffee?
Pasi Kärkkäinen Make it happen, Ola!!!
Woah, second this!!
>Jon drawing the cover art for The Haunted or Ola's next album
PLEASE OLA!
This needs to happen! Nerd out over guitar fx with them, Ola!
Wow!! Finally...and she so gorgeous and talented!!
Thanks you so much, OIa and Nita!
Love this. Thank you ! Thank you.
Ola what a great interview! It also makes it so much easier to talk to someone when they are just so cool and down to 🌎 like Nita. I can't believe this interview was 2 years ago. Everytime she says Alice I always think In Chains lol not Cooper.
Great interview. She seems so down to earth and really cool.
I'm so early my coffee isn't ready yet! Great interview Ola!
I remember seeing her at Santa Fe Springs playing in Iron Maidens. Awesome band!
It’s always great to see Guitarist talking with other musicians and just letting there hair down
🍻 Mate
Your the best rocker that just has fun
she is So humble, to be such a great player.
Best one yet ola. Cheers from Texas
Nita is awesome! got to meet her at sweetwater fest when she showed up at the ibanez booth and we were playing the guitar that she came to take lol. She was super cool and let us play it a little longer while bsing with us. Really cool experience.
What a great human being , and a super talented guitar player.
Great interview Ola! Thanks!
Why some people dislike this video? If you don't like, don't watch. She is awesome, you too Ola!
Nita is such a cool person! I enjoyed watching this video. Cheers!
Nita, you are amazing, we all love you in Cleveland, love the cross you are wearing!
Nita is a badass, she’s one of my favorite guitar players right now. She’s shredding it up with Alice Cooper and her solo album is killer. She’s approaching legend status.
Such a cool person, she is. That stretch is gonna be a life saver too!
"You wanna take out the sword again?"
About the advice at the end: I once heard some wise words from a guitar legend, not too different from Nita's advice. "There's always going to be someone better and someone worse than you. Just enjoy the ride. It's your thing. Kurt Cobain didn't care if he was the best guitarist ever. James Hetfield didn't either. Hell, Steve Vai didn't care. they just did their thing and look what happened." Oh and a Rock Discipline (VHS!) hand went up here too... Nita seems so down to Earth and genuinely nice person. It's good to see good things happen to good people. Respect.
She always seems so down-to-earth and cool. Good video.
What a great and inspirational coffee interview.
I kinda wished for a special episode of Will It Chug with Nita. Awesome interview anyway!
A true star and a very interesting person. She is totally a hard working 100% talented woman and very grounded at all.
Great Interview and thanks for the Exercise
nita is one of those women that you meet once in a lifetime but she sure as hell is gonna leave a mark with her attitude and skills.and yet she is a humble one, for a that scale of a guitar player it is not necessarily sure thing. love her sound, and Ola, I love your sound also.
Nita's so awesome. It's great to see her having coffee with Ola \m/
