It hurts me how less popularity Mattias has amongst guitar players. It's mostly only highly appreciative and musically knowledgeable guys that know of him but I don't think people realise how fun and enjoyable his playing is along with being technical when it needs to be. Forever going to remain one of my favourites. Much respect to Ola for introducing him to the mainstream metal crowd through his channel. Ola knows it himself what this guy is worth!

I met Mattias in 2005 at a summer guitar camp, he is quite possibly one of the most genuine and nice people I have ever met. He actually took time and listened to one of my tunes and said he heard my mustache.. he didn’t have to, and it really meant a lot.

Man I was so excited for this. Can't wait to fully watch.
And for a "sh*t interviewer", your ratio of 1.4k likes to 2 dislikes is pretty impressive (for the record, the fact that you're "in the know" and ask actually relevant, insightful questions easily makes you the most interesting interviewer for people like Mattias, considering the drivel a lot of them get asked by regular interviewers). Fantastic insight into creativity and regulating tech too. I'm probably not alone in how often I sit down and try to write something and it's crap, and how quickly that makes me feel like giving up. It's really trying to let go of that need to make something amazing right away that one gets creatively free and willing to slog through bad ideas to find gems. I need to watch this a few more times!
PS: I was like "what's with Ola's colour grading, it's all over the place", and then I realized his lights are changing colour behind the camera.

Thanks Ola! Mattias is an amazing guitarist and a truly inspiring person. Wonderful episode and I can't wait to see him more here one day.
